My daughter said she wanted to ride a horse, so I did some research and found good reviews about this place, so I made a reservation. On the day of our visit, we arrived in about an hour by rental car. Our family of four started on time. We rode along the coast and into the woods. There were moments when the horses stopped to eat grass, but generally, they followed the horse in front of them. We returned to the coast, where we took many photos. We rode for just over an hour. All the staff were cool women. Our guide was Jessie. As soon as we finished, she took two horses to practice polo. Tips were separate, so I had prepared some, but she left quickly, and when I asked another staff member to give it to her, they called her back. It’s a bit challenging to get there without a car, but it’s a wonderful place! I definitely want to go again and ride a horse! On the way back, we even saw a beautiful rainbow, making it an unforgettable day! 😊

車がないと行かれないので、ちょっと大変ですが、素晴らしいところです‼是非また行って、馬に乗りたいです❗
帰りはきれいな虹も出て、忘れられない１日になりました～☺

I went with my wife and daughter. The one and a half hours felt quite long, but being guided by a beautiful instructor through the magnificent highlands made me feel great. The scenery was also incredibly wonderful, and it was a lot of fun. The horses were all very gentle, and even my 9-year-old daughter enjoyed riding. It's a bit far from Waikiki, but I think it's not a problem at all if you have a rental car.

They didn't come close, so it didn't seem dangerous. However, it was a bit challenging to see them while battling the rough waves. But that was thrilling and fun! I had to wait for others to have their turn, so the time on the boat was long, which made me a bit seasick. But I’m glad I did it! ♪

Our main event this time was horseback riding. Last time we did it at Kualoa, but here the duration was longer, and the horses were smart, which made it a安心 experience. It was disappointing not to see any turtles, but we were able to have lunch at a restaurant we researched in Haleiwa, and we also had time for shopping. We participated as a couple from Waikiki, taking the bus. We arrived early to avoid being late and walked about 10 minutes from the bus stop, but no one was there. There were several booths surrounded by fences, and the horses were lounging around, looking quite relaxed.

After waiting for 50 minutes, just as our reservation time was approaching, we heard cheerful voices and about ten people returned. They each took commemorative photos before leaving, and we thought we could get on right away, but we were told, "You have to wait for one more group to arrive," and we ended up waiting another 30 minutes.

Finally, we started with a family of four from California, but the eldest daughter’s horse wouldn’t move. The instructor, who was at the front of the line, just kept saying to kick its belly. I thought we could have switched horses, or even used my horse from the riding club.

We returned as scheduled, but we could have ridden for another 30 minutes, right? Unlike the previous group, we didn’t get to take commemorative photos, which was a bit disappointing. However, we did give a proper tip. If we participate again, we plan to request a horse that can run.

カリフォルニアから来た４人家族と、やっとスタート。そしたらそこの長女の方が騎乗した馬が動かない。インストラクターのお姉さんは列の先頭にいたまま、お腹を蹴ってとしか言わない。
馬を替えるなり、なんだったら乗馬クラブに通っている私の馬と替えてもいいのに。
そして帰着は予定通りで、もう３０分は乗れたんじゃないの？前の組みたいに記念撮影もなく、なんだかなあ。
でも、チップはちゃんとあげました。
もし、再度参加するとしたら、走れる方でお願いしようと話しています。

We were caught in heavy rain right after we started our ride at Hawaii Polo Club, so we couldn't begin horseback riding for a while. After that, the rain lightened up, and we enjoyed riding in the refreshing atmosphere after the rain. However, my daughter's horse suddenly crouched down, perhaps trying to dry off its wet body, which surprised us. Fortunately, the guide responded quickly, and since my daughter was accustomed to riding, she wasn't scared and we were able to start again. It was our first experience like this, and it made us realize that we are riding living creatures, not machines.

There were also small mishaps afterward, but we enjoyed those as well. It was a wonderful experience to take a pleasant walk along the beach with the horse, creating great memories.

Thank you very much for your help the other day; my family of four had a great time. Before participating in the tour, I thought we would just go to the North and ride horses, but thanks to Hiro's detailed explanations of sightseeing points, time management, and highlights, we learned many things we didn't know before. Before you ride, they tell you the horse's name, which helps you feel attached, and calling its name or petting it gives a sense of communication.

If you just act normally, it's not dangerous, and the horses are quite gentle. Since you ride through the mountains, I recommend wearing long pants. I saw some young people in shorts, and they got bitten by mosquitoes in several places and had big welts. The ones in pants were unscathed.

若い子がショートパンツを履いていましたが何か所も蚊に刺されて大きく腫れていました。ズボンチームは無傷でした。
ノースショアはお昼ごはん(ガーリックシュリンプ)と45分程度の自由時間でした。
ガーリックシュリンプはドライバーさんに食べたい旨を伝えると予約しておいてくれささっと買えました。ランチボックスをもらい外で食べて散策といった感じで終了。
ドールでアイスを食べガーリックシュリンプを食べるとシェイブアイスは食べれない。。
シェイブアイスは並ぶので食べたい方はガーリックシュリンプはそこそこの早食いか一人並んでる間に食べるとかして時間を有効活用してくださいww
帰りはドライバーさんのお話が子守唄に聞こえ爆睡。1時間程度でワイキキに帰ってこられました。
乗馬は賢い馬なので景色を見ながらゆっくり乗馬できて本当に良い経験ができました。

At Dole Plantation, we arrived early and bought pineapple ice as soon as it opened, leisurely looking at souvenirs and fresh pineapples. If we had more time, I would have liked to ride the train, but we had to give up after just 30 minutes. During the ride, there were explanations about various sights, including the "This is a tree, that is a tree" and the location of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. We also got a tour of Haleiwa, where we got off at our desired spots and headed to horseback riding after about an hour and a half. We enjoyed visiting CAMARON for garlic shrimp, a red dirt T-shirt shop, SOHO, and other stores. The main horseback riding took us along the coast and through the forest, and we said goodbye to the horses with a bittersweet feeling. On the way back, we finally got to see the Honu at North Shore. My husband was satisfied, and we want to go again.

45分乗馬を乗れるという事で、乗り気でなかったダンナを説得してツアーに参加。ドールプランテーションは朝早く、開店と同時にパイナップルアイスを買い、のんびりとお土産やはえたパイナップルを見ました。時間があれば汽車に乗りたいけど30分のみで断念。途中この木なんの木～や、パール・ハーバー日本軍侵入場所など車内で解説があり、初のハレイワも車に乗ってグルッと説明を受け行きたい所へ降り約1時間半頃に乗馬へ。私たちはCAMARONのガーリックシュリンプ、赤土のTシャツ屋さんやSOHO、他の店を回り楽しめました。メインの乗馬は乗って海岸沿いや森の中を回り最後は名残惜しい位の気持ちで馬とお別れしました。帰りにノースショアの海で念願のHonuにも会えました。ダンナさんも満足、また行きたいです。

The horses are trained for polo and are all very well-behaved. We navigated up and down, sometimes progressing in a line along quite muddy paths. Leading the way was the staff member, Angel, who provided detailed explanations about the forest, stories of the royal family that once lived in the area, the wild boars that inhabit the region, and even about poisonous mushrooms. While there were moments of tension on the muddy slopes, we felt a strange sense of accomplishment afterward. There were also children in our group, around the middle school age, who enjoyed the horseback riding. A family horseback riding experience will surely become a lifelong memory.

It was a participation on a very nice day. The horse I was connected with was the oldest one. However, you wouldn't think he was old just by looking at him. Most importantly, he was very smart, which surprised me. I learned how to give instructions, but even without doing anything, he maintained a great distance from the horse in front of him and did a wonderful job. I think it's a tour that beginners can join with confidence. Next, I would like to participate in a coastal horseback riding tour!☆

私のご縁のあったお馬さんは、一番おじいちゃん馬でした。
でも、見掛けではおじいちゃんなんて思えません。そして何より賢くて、ビックリしました。
指示の出し方を習うのですが、何もしなくても、前のお馬さんとの間隔を保ち、素晴らしい仕事ぶりでした。
初心者でも安心して参加出来るツアーだと思いました。
次は海岸の乗馬ツアーに参加したいと思ってます☆

The scenery was amazing!!
We also rode through the mountains, so there were plenty of shaded areas, making it comfortable while fully enjoying the magnificent nature.

Although our visits to Dole Plantation and Haleiwa were brief, our guide Hiro provided excellent recommendations that allowed us to enjoy the experience efficiently. The beach horseback riding was an event that is hard to experience in Japan, and I felt safe entrusting myself to the well-trained horses. (The horses moved on their own with hardly any instructions.) It was amusing when they strayed off the path to eat grass, which added to the fun.

Overall, the time was limited, giving a busy impression, but we were able to thoroughly enjoy the main horseback riding experience.

While optional tours have the downside of limited flexibility, I often prefer to explore on my own. However, I discovered new things thanks to the guide's navigation, and I gained insights that only a local guide could provide, highlighting the unique benefits of an optional tour. The restaurant that was recommended, in particular, had great food and a lovely atmosphere, and I was very satisfied. Thank you, Hiro!

ドールプランテーションもハレイワも、駆け足での観光でしたが、ガイドのヒロさんがポイントを押さえたお勧めを紹介してくれたので、短いながらも効率よく楽しめました。
海辺乗馬も日本ではなかなか体験できないようなイベントで、よく調教されている馬に安心して身を任せることができます。(ほぼ指示なしで勝手にお馬さんが動いてくれます。) 途中、草を食べに道をそれるのもご愛嬌で、逆にそれも楽しく感じました。
全体的に時間が制限されて忙しいという印象ですが、メインの乗馬だけはじっくり楽しめました。

オプショナルは自由が利かないデメリットがあり、最近は個人で回ることも多かったのですが、ガイドさんの道案内に新たな発見があったり、地元で生活しているガイドさんならではの情報が得られたり、オプショナルならではの良さを実感しました。
特に教えて頂いたレストランは味もお店の雰囲気も良く、満足しました。ヒロさん、ありがとうございました！

I had my first horseback riding experience just a few days before my daughter's wedding. Contrary to my worries, I really enjoyed it. The four horses we rode were each a bit greedy or laid-back, but they were all very well-behaved, which made me feel at ease. The Japanese guide and driver took us to a famous food truck where the garlic shrimp was absolutely delicious!

My wife wanted to go horseback riding, so I joined her. I didn't have high expectations, but I was very satisfied with the experience. Riding along the North Shore coastline on horseback was quite comfortable. We enjoyed eating garlic shrimp, buying T-shirts, and although it was short, it was a fun time. Above all, the guide's instructions were excellent. It was also a great way to learn about Hawaii, and I highly recommend it.

I participated on March 8, 2017.

I wanted to ride along the coast, so I rented a car and went to the North Shore. There were some online warnings about it being hard to find, but it was well-marked on Google and the rental car's navigation system, so I had no trouble once I got close. However, it's definitely tough without a rental car.

Our club is located in a corner of a spacious polo field, and the horses were relaxed, providing a much more open atmosphere compared to Japan.

After showing our voucher, we set off with two teenage girls and a total of four people plus one staff member. The saddles were Western-style, which I wasn't used to, but the horses were really calm. The weather was cloudy with occasional sunshine, and the breeze felt great—it was the perfect outdoor ride.

However, the customer service felt a bit indifferent, and I got the impression that they weren't very accustomed to dealing with customers. I also wished we could have done a bit more trotting and cantering.

I recommend this for anyone who wants to enjoy a leisurely ride along the coast (beginners are absolutely welcome).

こちらに行ってきました
わかりづらいというネットの前情報がありましたが、googleでもレンタカーの
カーナビにもしっかり乗っていて、実際に近くを通ればすぐ分かったので
場所の心配は不要です。ただし、レンタカーが無いとキツイのは確かですが。

広いポロの競技場の片隅にある当クラブは
馬たちがのびのびとしていて、日本と違ってゆったりとした空間でした

バウチャーを見せて、10代の女性2人と合計4人＋1人（staff）で出発
鞍はウエスタンなので慣れませんでしたが、馬は本当に大人しくて
天気も曇り時々晴れ、風は気持ち良くて最高の外乗でした

ただ接客は少し素っ気ない感じであまり客対応になれていない印象を受けました。
後は駆歩や早歩が少しできればよかったなと。笑

★ゆったり海岸沿いを外乗したい方（初心者でも全く問題なしです）にはお勧めです

I participated with my mother. The local guide provided deep insights into Hawaii's history and current social issues, which was very informative. Since the guide recommended some great shops on the North Shore in advance, I think we made effective use of our time, even though lunch was within an hour. We went horseback riding for nearly an hour along the beach, and the scenery was beautiful, plus the horses were adorable, so we were very satisfied. There were quite a few elderly people as well, so I believe horseback riding is accessible regardless of age.

We are a family of five. My wife and I (over 60), our two sons, and our daughter are all adults, but we were nervous about our first horseback riding experience. However, seeing a child around seven years old riding before us made us feel at ease. The location has a sign on the left side of Route 83, and if you turn left, it's right there. You can also see the ranch along the road. The office is the meeting place, but there are no signs inside the ranch, so we went towards the back where there was a building, and we found a small office in a place with a few parked cars. There was no permanent staff, and after the previous riding group returned, the guide helped us with the check-in. During the one-hour ride, we climbed hills and maneuvered through trees, and everyone was satisfied. It was okay to ride with a small shoulder bag or pouch. Unfortunately, there was no horseback riding by the beach.

Honestly, there wasn't enough time to enjoy North Shore with a tight schedule... However, I think we managed to visit some famous spots like enjoying delicious garlic shrimp and stopping by Dole Plantation. The horseback riding was great too, as the weather was nice, allowing us to enjoy the scenery while taking a leisurely stroll. The staff was friendly, and I was very satisfied being able to hold the reins and ride freely. ^^

ノースショアは正直、タイトなスケジュールで楽しむ程の時間もありません…ですが、美味しいガーリックシュリンプを食べたりドールプランテーションに寄ったりと有名どころは回れたのかなと思います。

Our guides we're very sweet and helpful with guidance, I thought we would have more time to ride on the beach but it was very short towards the end. It's more of a quick trail ride on the forest area with a view of the beach, but obviously that's not the guides fault. Great for a first time experience!
