I signed up for the 9 o'clock session, but the meeting time was at 4:30. From there, we visited several hotels for pickups and then headed to the airport with about an hour's drive. Eating and drinking were prohibited in the car, so I woke up early and had a light breakfast before heading out. We watched a 10-minute video about safety precautions in the car and filled out liability forms, then I dozed off. In America, the legal system is quite detailed, and the forms had a lot of information.

Once we arrived at the airport, the staff checked our documents and collected our passports (copies are acceptable). The elderly staff member's explanations were a bit unclear; for instance, they didn’t mention that there were coin lockers available, and they told us not to use the lockers because they would watch our bags, but they didn’t really keep an eye on them... so I think it’s better to act with personal responsibility. The lockers can be used with four 25-cent coins. If you want to take photos with your iPhone or similar, it’s better not to put it in the locker; I left mine on the table in the waiting area during the skydiving.

About eight groups board the plane at a time, so there is a wait. There was a food truck, so we could have light snacks and drinks while waiting. When it was my turn, I got fitted with a harness and practiced how to jump with my assigned instructor. All the instructors were very energetic and friendly! They gave instructions in simple Japanese, but the basic conversation was in English.

And then, finally, it was time for takeoff! We ascended to an altitude of 4,200 meters over about 10 minutes. The ocean was incredibly beautiful, and I could see Waikiki and Diamond Head! From there, it was over in a flash! Without hesitation, we jumped (or fell?) one by one! The sensation of freefall was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It didn’t feel like floating; it felt like I was cutting through the cold wind. Strangely, there was no sense of fear! In fact, I felt more scared after the parachute opened... After about five minutes in the air, we landed successfully, just as we practiced!

I received a certificate, and that was it. The instructor handed me a bag for tips, so I put in $20 and dropped it in the box. I waited for about an hour until the pickup car arrived, and we returned to Waikiki just after 11. Since there is some waiting time, I think it’s a good idea to bring light snacks like cookies. It was a sensation I had never experienced before, and it was so much fun! I think everyone should try it at least once in their lifetime!

ロッカーは25セントコイン４枚で使用できます。自分のiPhoneなどで写真を取りたい方はロッカーには入れずスカイダイビング中は待合所のテーブルの上に置いていっていました。
飛行機には８組くらいづつ乗り込むので順番待ちをします。フードトラックがきているので軽食を食べたり飲み物を飲むこともできました。
順番が来たらハーネスをつけてもらい、自分の担当のインストラクターの方と飛び方の練習をします。どのインストラクターの方もテンションが高めで感じのよい方達です！指示は簡単な日本語でしてくれますが、基本会話は英語になります。
そしていよいよテイクオフ！10分ほどかけて高度4200メートルまで上がります。海がとっても綺麗でワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッドまで見渡せます！そこからはあっという間！ためらう間も無く順番に飛んで（落ちて？）行きます！フリーフォール中の感覚は今までにない感覚。ふわっと感はなくって冷たい風の中をくぐり抜けている感じ。恐怖感は不思議とない！それよりもパラシュートが開いてからの方が怖かった・・・5分ほど空中を飛んでから着陸。練習通りにできました！
証明書をいただいておしまいです。インストラクターの方にチップを入れる袋を渡されるので20ドル〜を入れて箱に入れておきます。
迎えの車が来るまで小一時間待ち、11時過ぎにはワイキキに戻りました。
待っている時間がちょこちょこあるのでクッキーみたいな軽食を持っていくといいと思います。
今までに味わったことのない感覚でとても楽しかったです！一生に一度は体験してみるといいと思います！

I took an Uber to get there.
From the road, I could see a green-roofed waiting area with several chairs and a table that had a simple guide in Japanese on how to ride.
There were only me and my daughter, a white man, and a cute girl who guided us, making a total of three people.
We enjoyed a leisurely horseback ride through the fields and North Shore.
Sometimes the horse would stop to eat grass or urinate, which was also fun.
We thoroughly enjoyed 90 minutes on the North Shore.
If you're expecting a fast-paced ride, it might feel a bit lacking, but if you want to relax and enjoy, it's perfect.
Since there were no other Japanese people in the later group, it felt very Hawaiian.
I was a bit anxious because the Uber driver who brought us said it would be difficult to get an Uber back, but I was able to ride after waiting for 20 minutes.
I think it's a bit far from Waikiki, but I highly recommend this horseback riding experience.

I like roller coasters and have experienced bungee jumping, so I thought I had a good tolerance for thrills, floating sensations, and heights. However, skydiving felt more like a constant state of motion sickness. As soon as I jumped, I was hit by an intense wind that made it hard to breathe, and my contact lenses flew away. Once the parachute opened, it felt like being spun around in a coffee cup at an amusement park, and I just wanted to come down quickly.

Additionally, the tour bus to the airport was shared with others. The bus had a capacity of about 20 people, and several buses arrived at the same time. This meant that with the foreigners included, there were about 60 to 80 people receiving explanations, but the plane that actually took off had only 8 seats, resulting in a significant wait time.

I’m not sure if the order for boarding the plane was random, but we left the hotel at 5:00 AM and arrived at the site by 6:30 AM, yet we didn’t get to skydive until 9:00 AM. We left the airport at 11:00 AM and got back to the hotel just after 12:00 PM.

Since some people can feel nauseous during skydiving, we weren’t allowed to eat anything in the morning until after the jump. Even after we finished, there was nothing nearby in the isolated airport area, just one truck with a food stall. It was so crowded that I couldn’t even buy a drink, so I recommend bringing your own water.

I personally don’t want to skydive again, but my husband, who doesn’t get motion sickness, said he had fun and would like to do it again, so it might depend on the person.

For those who want to create lasting memories, I highly recommend adding the photo option, even though it’s a bit pricey.

飛行機に乗せてもらえる順番はランダムなのか、5時にホテルを出発し現地には6時半には着きましたがスカイダイビングできたのが9時です。帰宅できたのは11時に飛行場を出発して12時すぎのホテル着でした。

スカイダイビングは気分が悪くなる人もいるので吐いてしまうといけないからと朝は飛び終わるまで何も食べれません。飛び終わってからも隔離された飛行場内では近くに何もなくトラックが一台で屋台を出しているだけでした。
混雑して飲み物さえ買えないので事前にお水などは持っていくことをお勧めします。

私は二度とスカイダイビングをしたいとは思いませんが、主人は気分が悪くならないタイプだったので、楽しかった！またしたい！と言っていましたので、人によるのかもしれませんが…

むた思い出に残したい方は少し高い金額ですが絶対に写真撮影はオプションでつけることをお勧めします。

戻った後の受付の方の態度もあまり良くなく、とても良い体験だっただけにその辺りがとてもとても残念でした。

前回はスカイダイブ・ハワイで飛びましたが
そちらの方が全体的に対応が良かった印象です。
スカイダイビング自体はとてもオススメで、絶対にやった方が良い！と言い切れます！

Hawaii Shark Encounters - North Shore Shark Cage Diving Tour from Haleiwa

Barely arrived on spot, shark fins started to show around our boat. That alone was already impressive and exciting!
While in the cage, you get to admire them gracefully swim around and under the cage... beauty!

Few tips:

- Waterproof phone pouch with wrist lanyard recommended to take underwater videos, we're so glad we had one! Just make sure not to live the whole experience through your phone ;)

- Even if you're not sea/motion sick, I suggest you have a ginger chew or two (Chimes brand are good). This will help settle your stomach as it can get bumpy under there.

Big thanks to our guides, very chill and knowledgeable!

PS: we also got to see dolphins splashing and following our boat on the way back, that was also priceless!

It was absolutely amazing, with no fear at all compared to the airplane or roller coasters, just pure enjoyment. The breathtaking views of the sky, sea, and mountains were also fantastic. My husband, who was more nervous than I was, said it was the most fun he's ever had and is still excited about it. I want to fly again, and I even feel like I want to get my own license.

On the way there, the machine was malfunctioning, and we couldn't see the video explanation, but the instructor was very relaxed, and it was not a problem at all. They conducted thorough safety checks, and I felt reassured knowing they are professionals who fly multiple times a day. The cheerful instructors kept us entertained even before we took off.

I had been vaguely thinking about wanting to try this someday, but about ten years ago, my husband experienced it and said it was really great, so we decided to participate together this time.

In conclusion, I’m really glad we joined!

I have a fear of heights to the point where my legs shake when I climb up a slide or look down from a high floor of a building, but the instructor jumped with us, so I hardly felt any fear! It was a little scary while we were on the plane and when the parachute opened and we were suspended in the air, but the beautiful scenery made the fear fade quite a bit.

I think that experiencing going through the clouds is something you can only do by skydiving, so I recommend it to anyone who is interested! You can easily decline the photos and videos if you don’t want them, but I regret not accepting them, so if you’re unsure, I think it’s a good idea to keep them as a memory.

I want to participate again when I go to Hawaii!

いつかやりたいな〜と漠然と思っていましたが、10年ほど前に夫が経験してとても良かったとのことだったので今回２人で参加しました。

結論、参加して本当に良かったです！

自力で滑り台に登ったりビルの高層階から下を覗き込んだりすると足が震えてしまうくらい高所恐怖症なのですが、インストラクターさんが一緒に飛んでくれるのでほぼ恐怖を感じませんでした！
飛行機に乗ってる間と、パラシュートが開いてから宙吊りになってる間はちょっと怖かったですが…景色の良さでかなり怖さは薄れました。

雲の中を突き抜けるなんてスカイダイビングやらないと経験すること無いと思うので、興味のある方は参加された方がいいと思います！
写真とムービーはいらなければ問題なく断れますがわたしは断ったことを後悔しているので、迷っているなら形として思い出に残してもいいと思います。

ハワイに行ったらまた参加したいです！

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes, I think. I was horseback riding. I was able to have a dynamic and refreshing ride while walking along the sea of the North Shore. However, the course and the order of walking are predetermined, so it might be a bit unsatisfying for those who are experienced in horseback riding. Nevertheless, you can still ride at breathtaking viewpoints.

Everyone except us was from the West! I had high expectations after reading the reviews, but it wasn't simple English; it was quite advanced. I managed with the Japanese explanations on the consent form and the sign for how to slide. I think it would be difficult if trouble arises and you don't have the English skills to explain yourself.

The zip line offers a sense of freedom and the thrill of speed! You can see the ocean from the first two lines. Most of the area is a farm, so there's a lot of greenery. There are two safety harnesses, and they use very high ones with locks, so I felt safe sliding. The upside-down part was on the last line, and I mostly slid normally!

Westerners tend to be heavier, but I think people under 50 kg need to lift their legs to make it through most of the lines. If you stop midway or bounce back, it uses up the staff's effort.

In addition to the zip line, there are experiences like a suspension bridge and a vertical drop. There was also a part where you have to pull yourself up with just your arms, but that was very tiring; a woman from a foreign couple became grumpy (laughs).

I dropped my phone at the end, but luckily, the staff witnessed where it fell and found it unharmed. Tipping is not particularly required, but since they found my phone, I gave them a tip.

ジップラインは開放感と速さのスリルを味わえます！景色も1.2本は先に海が見えたりします。ほとんどは農園なので緑が広がります。安全帯も2本あり、ロック付きのとても高いものを使っていて安心して滑ることができました。逆さまになるのは最後の方の1本で、ほとんど普通に滑りました！
欧米の方は体重がありますが、多分50キロ以下の人はほとんどの本数足を上げて滑らないと最後まで行けません。途中で止まったり、反動で帰ってしまうとスタッフの労力を使ってしまうことになります。
ジップラインだけでなく吊り橋や垂直にゆっくり落ちる体験もあります。自分の腕だけで上に上がるのもありましたが、これは非常に疲れました、外人のカップルの女の人は不機嫌になっていました(笑)
最後に携帯を落としてしまいましたが、スタッフが落ちたところを目撃してくれていて幸運にも無傷で発見してもらえました。チップは特段要求されませんが携帯を見つけてもらったので払いました。
荷物はスタッフが預かってくれます！貴重品ロッカーはあったけど案内されませんでした。荷物は番号とかなくて、何色か伝えて、これ？と言ったやりとりでとってもらう感じです。セキュリティ一は低いです。
個人的には期待より下だったかな？口コミを読みすぎて期待が大きかったのかもしれません。

After that, we moved to Haleiwa Town, where I enjoyed local gourmet food that you can only find here. Since the day I participated was not on a weekend, I missed out on trying "Huli Huli Chicken," which I regret. I'll save that for next time!

The pickup was about 15 minutes late.
It’s a car marked with "Keana Farm Zipline," so you can just wait at the meeting point.

The instructors can understand simple Japanese.
However, the explanations for the zipline and during the ride were in English, so I couldn't understand the conversations or jokes.
There was a spot along the way where we could break and eat bananas and macadamia nuts.
Communication with the instructors was manageable, so it was fine.
It was really fun!
You can bring your own camera; I had my iPhone, but I thought a GoPro would have been better.

The thrill of being thrown into the air with just your body is incredible! Just a note: if you don't equalize your ears properly, they can hurt. Also, the really cold wind coming into your nose made it quite painful deep inside (+o+). But all of that turned into a great memory.

I participated in this on my honeymoon trip!

This was our first time in Oahu and first time at a Luau. Highly recommend Toa
Luau. We arrived a few hours early since ticket includes admission to the Waimea Valley Gardens and Falls. Bring swimsuits and take a dip into the waterfalls at the end of the valley! We walked back to the Luau in time for the fun activities and 'pre-Luau' events includes crafts. We attended as a couple but this would be wonderful for families. The Luau then began with an amazing show complete with dancing and fire! Cousin Billy our host was entertaining and hospitable--the entire experience has a 'family' welcoming vibe. The food was good with a variety of choices. Because we were on our honeymoon Cousin Bill called up all the anniversaries/honeymoon couples for a special gift and blessing which was so special to us. We would definitely return this time with our family! Great job Toa Luau we'll be back!

This time, I could see both the ocean and the mountains, and I was even more moved than last time. It's an experience I think everyone should have at least once in their life. The instructor was a woman and very kind. She didn't speak Japanese, but she provided a lot of encouragement, which made me feel at ease. My husband, who tried it for the first time, was also thrilled.

This is true for Hawaii in general, but there is a strong push for tips. Each instructor has an envelope and a post box prepared. However, they kindly provide ATMs and currency exchange machines (for $1 or $5). For cameras and videos, you just need to check a form in advance, so if you don't want them, you can decline without hesitation. They don't ask much. I bought both a movie and photos in Australia, but knowing I would look unattractive no matter what, I declined this time. (laughs)

朝5時にピックアップで、9時30分にはホテルに戻ってくる感じですので、とても一日有意義に使えます！おすすめです(^^)

I participated in a horseback riding experience tour on May 15th. We received instructions on how to handle the horses while in the car and then headed to the location. As a couple in our 60s, I felt a bit anxious about whether we would be okay, but once we got on the horses, those worries quickly disappeared. The horses were so well-trained. When the horse in front started walking, ours followed suit, and when it stopped, ours did too. Even if there was a bit of disruption, pulling the reins as instructed made them listen.

While riding, we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view and the sound of the waves, spending a blissful time. Our instructor, Koji, provided excellent sightseeing information, sharing the names of many flowers blooming in town and details about Hawaii. We were able to see vast pineapple fields and sea turtles as well. In Haleiwa, he guided us to the restrooms and famous shops, so we didn’t get lost. He also took us to a delicious garlic shrimp restaurant, and on the way back, we toured the east coast and stopped by a souvenir shop where we could sample coffee. It was truly a wonderful tour that left us very satisfied. Thank you very much.

大丈夫かなあと少し不安な気持ちになりましたが
乗ってみるとそんな不安は直ぐに解消です。

広大なパイナップル畑や海亀も見ることができました。
ハレイワの町ではトイレの場所、有名店を教えて下さり迷うことなく
過ごせました。ガーリックシュリンプの美味しいお店も案内して下さり
帰りは東海岸の方を周っていただき、コーヒーの試飲できる土産店にも
よって頂きました。本当に満足できる素晴らしいツアーでした。

There is no way to describe how amazing this experience was...the view was absolutely breath taking and the sensation of the free fall was one you will never forget. I would highly recommend this adventure to everyone..we will be doing this again when we return to the island............IT WAS AWESOME! We were also very impressed with the camera men who captured this experience for us on both video/photo...as you can see they did a great job!
