Oahu
The only shuttle bus company that can accommodate the first flight from the Big Island to Oahu, as far as I found, is Roberts (arriving in Oahu at 7:00).
My girlfriend Constance and I were highly recommended to do this tour prior to our trip to Hawaii and we were not disappointed. This tour will now be top of our list of recommendations to other friends and family as it is as breathtaking and exhilarating as expected. The sights seen on this tour is truly unbelievable and needs to be seen to be believed. As a couple, we were slightly hesitant as we are more the adventurous type, however this tour still gave us a great look into history of the island which was some amazing stuff. It was very informative and interesting and really gave us Australians a little glimpse of what the U.S had endured back in the day. If and when my girlfriend and I return to Hawaii (I'm sure we will soon) we will most likely do this tour again, as the views and sights cannot be compared to anything else. We are so glad we went ahead with this booking and tour because the tour guide and transportation to and from were great also to make for a perfect day.
The Pearl Harbor tour was one of the best tours we did during our vacation in Oahu. Our driver Larry was very informative during the tour. We got a little taste of the history of Oahu. Larry made our tour very interesting and entertaining. He gave us lots of stories bout the history of Hawaii that previous to taking the tour we were not aware of. The city of Honolulu had numerous historical places to visit. Once we arrived to Pearl Harbor, we were very excited. Larry spoke about the historical importance Pearl Harbor had in American history. The movie that was played before the boat ride to the memorial was very well made. It was very interesting and educational. The fact that it had actual video footage from the attack of Pearl Harbor made it very real and emotional. Furthermore, the tour to the SS Arizona memorial was amazing. It's definitely something I would recommend to anyone visiting Oahu. Being on the memorial and seeing the names of all the people who lost their lives on the SS Arizona was very moving. The tour is very well organized that it's interesting for the whole family.
Super tour I would highly recommend it. Our tour guide was SO informative as well as funny.
Grand Circle tour was great, the guide has a complete knowledge of the island and its history, altough there is not enough time to see the entire Dole Plantation at least it gives you the opportunity to enjoy a good pineapple treat, in general a must in any Hawaii vacation

Not as good as I was hoping some parts not good wouldn't do it again or recommend to a friend
Had an amazing time! Fred was awesome! Great experience at Pearl Harbor so early in the morning to hear revelrie and The Star Spangled Banner. Very moving experience. The city tour was fun! Lots of info. Fred was a great tour guide. So worth the money!!
To get to the Bishop Museum, I took The Bus number 2 from the bus stop at Sheraton Waikiki, which is a 3-minute walk from the hotel, departing at 08:03. After about 45 minutes, I got off at School St. and entered the museum around 09:00.
I had no worries since I confirmed all this information with the hotel staff and the bus driver before departing.
Upon arrival, I received an explanation of the museum from a Japanese staff member named Aya, who loves and has studied Hawaiian culture. After that, I took a beginner hula lesson for about an hour. The instructor, Noelani Chang, was visiting from Japan, and the lesson was conducted by her niece.
The song we learned was "Halema, uma,u." My mother is an intermediate hula dancer with over three years of experience in Japan, but my sister and I were first-timers. However, wearing matching colored pāu skirts, we followed the instructor's movements and managed to learn four parts within an hour. Although we made some mistakes here and there, we were able to dance through the entire song.
At the end, we took a commemorative group photo, and afterward, we enjoyed making leis using plumeria flowers and long green leaves (I forgot the name) that had been thawed and softened, which we took home as souvenirs.
It was a very fulfilling tour, and everyone was extremely satisfied. On the way back, one person got off to visit Foster Botanical Garden, Izumo Taisha, and Chinatown, and we returned to Waikiki via the HIS free trolley from King's Village.
Larry, our motor coach driver went the extra mile for us. Very informative, funny and pleasant; but somber/respectful when appropriate. It does not matter if you are a history buff or not-- a very moving experience to see where our WW2 began and where it ended. The Punch Bowel National Memorial brings it all home and makes you proud to be an American in the resting place of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Everything about the tour was great, especially the driver Larry. Enjoyed the bus ride as much as pearl harbor.
Fantastic package. Nice to be first there and have everything explained and presented to you as a recommendation.
This tour was very disappointing, because I have chosen it not only to visit the Arizona memorial (a visit that can be done in complete autonomy), but to take advantage of the city shuttle tour to get a first impression of the city of Honolulu. I knew it would have been only a short morning tour, but it was almost useless to do it because we didn't see practically anything. However, and this is the great disappointment, we were half an hour in a gift shop! Half an hour which obviously could be devoted to the city tour. However the visit the Arizona Memorial is a "must do" moving experience, and the driver of the shuttle was an Amazing and caring person.
Our tour of the island was very enjoyable. Very happy to see the Pineapples growing, and the lay of the land. The guides were prompt and the guide at the Centre, was especially polite. (Congrats to them, too, for indicating they do not except tips.) We visited three villages but I've done these without a guide and on my own, saw all six villages in the time he took us to three. I know time is spent gathering people and passing out leis and explaining procedures, but this did detract from what we could experience. I would suggest that at the Center, folks are given the option to go with the guide or go on their own. The luau and HA - Breath of Life show are phenomenal!! We had half a house for the audience and I was so impressed with the quality of singing and dancing, of the performers, that I started the standing ovation. Those students really deserve our appreciation!!
The PCC, dinner, luau, and show were fantastic. The Island Tour itself was the sad part. Our driver was late and then we had to rush through all the sites, having barely time for a picture or look before having to reload.
I visited the Bishop Museum with 15 members of my hula class and experienced a hula lesson. Although the hula teacher was absent and we had an assistant instead, I was very satisfied to receive an authentic hula lesson. Everything was explained in Japanese except for the hula teacher, which made it very easy to understand.
I defenitely recommend that tour to everyone who visits Oahu for the first time and wants to see as much as possible! I rented a car for the time after to visit my favorite spots again! Our bus driver Ed was so funny and taught us some Hawaiian words and about the history and culture! Definitely worth it! DO IT AND GO ON THAT TOUR!!!
Best tour arrangements . Driver was very helpful and conciderate. He did his best to show us around as much as he could. Best service .
Enjoyed the bus tour, but it gets you there 2 hours after it opens.
The center itself focuses too much on entertainment and not enough on education. It is run by the Morman education system, so one would think if we are supporting the students we in turn would be educated about the various Polynesian cultures around the pacific.
In celebration of our 11th Year Anniversary, my husband and I agreed getting on a helicopter tour. At first, I was worried about motion sickness, and all these negative thoughts we had in our minds especially that we have young children but as we were heading to the helicopter site, the fear that we've had before is turning to an excitement, even more so after we were checked-in by Vincent, who was very helpful, funny, and was able to answer some of the questions and concerns I had before the flight. The weather was cooperating with us too as it was sunny, bright blue skies, with no high winds considering that there was a storm and strong winds the day before. We were asked to check-in 45 minutes before the flight and I thought that was too early but once we got there, the time actually went by too fast as we watched videos of these great sceneries taken on the flights that got us even more fired up!
Adam was our pilot that day and he was very professional, friendly, and informative. He even had us take our time to see the whales as we spotted them swimming in the ocean (we saw 4), and also tons of turtles floating above the water. I like how he communicates with everyone as well and made sure that we are all doing okay.
We are local residents by the way, we've been living in Oahu for 19 years and I have never seen the island so remarkably beautiful until we took this flight! It was amazing and I never stopped talking about it! The sceneries were breathtaking, especially the views of Kaneohe Sandbar! Just incredibly stunning, and what a stress reliever! I don't know how else to express myself but our experience was beyond our expectation! I never appreciated Mother Nature as much as I do now so thank you Blue Hawaiian Helicopters for showing us these and the wonderful experience that will truly last a lifetime! Lucky to live Hawaii..INDEED!
Aloha! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. We are so happy you had a wonderful time. Please come back and see us again. Mahalo, The Blue Crew
It was nice to see various things on this tour, but it felt a bit too much like sitting on a bus a lot of the time, with too short stops at interesting places. We got sufficient time at the Byodo-In temple, which was good, but the North Shore was less than a 5 minute stop. I really wanted to see the Kualoa ranch, and partly booked this tour because of it going there, but the short tram ride only did a short route outside the valley of the ranch, which was a personal disappointment for me (I went for a full Kualoa tour the following day to make up for that).
The Pali lookout was nice.
I would have enjoyed it better if I got to see less things in a better way, than to rush through several things too quickly.
You can be picked up near the hotel early in the morning and enjoy sightseeing.
You arrive at the Polynesian Cultural Center in the early afternoon and have a not-so-tasty lunch.
After that, you can enjoy various attractions on the island with the guide.
After dinner (I wasn't expecting much since lunch wasn't good, but the dinner was delicious, possibly because it was deluxe), we watched a magnificent show.
It was impressive with a large number of participants, and we had a great time.
Since the ending time is late, if you sleep on the bus ride back, you'll quickly arrive at your hotel in Honolulu.
I recommend it.
Our Pearl Harbor Deluxe Motorcoach shuttle tour was one of our favourite experiences on our hawaii holiday. We were welcomed by a friendly and humerous tour guide who made our tour fun and very informative. We started our information session on the Arizona memorial which included a screening of a video clip looking back into the era of the invasion of the japanese into pearl harbor and the demolage that was to take place. We learnt that on that fatal day the Japanese bombed that no one at pearl harbour that day were aware of the Japanese planes nearing and were not prepared for the carnage that was to follow. We then took the ferry over to the Arizona memorial where we got to look upon the sunken Arizona battleship and pay respect to all those who deceased on that ship. We then caught the ferry back and then took a bus over to the U.S.S Missouri ship where a tour guide explained the importance of the ships past etc. where the japanese signed the treaty with the u.s. to end the war and its use in three wars. We were then able to explore the ship by ourselves and see where the soldiers once bunked, ate, and took to everyday duties on the ship. We then bought a few items from the gift shop and met our motorcoach tour guide back at the coach to continue on to see the sights of Punch Bowl cemetary and Honolulu. Our tour guide continued to show us important sights and buildings around honolulu.
We got to see the beauty of the honolulu landscape which include tropical and international plant life and amazing architecture. We were then taken back to our hotel where we were dropped right outside and thanked our amazing tour guide for a great day had.
We had a great time, a truly awesome experience! The tour itself is a truly educationaland an emotional place, and the memorial is just absolutely beautiful. It had always been a goal to be able to make it to the Pearl Harbor Memorial, and I was finally able to make it thanks to this tour! We had a splendid tour guide, which made things even better. Patrick, our tour guide was great, informative, and friendly! I will definitely be doing this trip again up my return to Honolulu, Hawaii with my family, and hopefully we have Patrick or another great tour guide like him. I enjoyed all of the lovely sites to see. It was a gorgeous tour, I definitely recommend this trip to all my family and friends, actually in general I recommend this tour to any and everyone. :)
Great experience. The driver made the trip extremely pleasant..
My grandchildren did enjoy the tour very much. A lot of wonderful history that they really enjoyed
The children really enjoyed the tour and history of pearl Barbour and missouri
I'm an American and a Navy Vet. My wife and I have always wanted to Visit the State of Hawaii with a priority to Visit Pear Harbor. LUCKILY for us, I was FORTUNATE enough to find Veltra Tours on the web. I cannot say enough about the quality of our tour. The timeliness of the tour, the knowledge and personality of our guide Nick, SUPERB. We saw and learned more than we could have expected in a single morning. Also would like to Applaud the U S Navy, the State of Hawaii and our National Park service for all they do to honor our History and our Veterans.
Were well planned and executed tour giving a lot of insight to Hawaii and the the Hawaiian culture.
The planned stops are relevant and seams to be well picked giving a good head start for enjoying Oahu
