The Holokai Sunset Sail was awesome! The vibes were great and the music wasn’t too loud. We sailed out quite a distance and enjoyed our cocktails and other beverages. I highly recommend Holokai!
It’s been our third time enjoying this excursion. Staff is always friendly and comical. Great to be out in the fresh air and see the beautiful sunset.

Our sunset cruise was our favorite experience while in Hawaii! Our crew was the absolute best! They were so fun and personable. Would 100% do this again…provided we get the same crew and would recommend it to anyone. Mike, Jesse and Alexio made sure everyone on board was safe while enjoying their time. My family and I cannot say enough positive things about this cruise. We even printed the photo and have it in a frame at home.
Everybody was so sweet and friendly, very charismatic and funny too. The Maitais were so SO good, not too strong not too watered down. Beautiful views and easy check in. We were a party of four and one of ours had to use the restroom downstairs and he said it was clean and well maintenance. The sail itself was amazing I was able to get good pictures of Diamond head as well.
I do this boat everytime I come to town!! Such a great and kind crew!!!

It was my first sunset cruising experience. I had previously been on a dinner cruise, and since my husband had never been on one, I was thinking of doing a dinner cruise again. However, we decided to try the sunset cruise instead, so we quickly made a reservation.
After checking in, we boarded the ship at the scheduled time. Aside from us, everyone else was foreign tourists, but everyone was enjoying themselves, toasting with Mai Tais as we set sail. The view of Waikiki Beach and the opposite side of Diamond Head from the sea was fantastic, as well as the mountains we saw from the activities we experienced during the day. Of course, the setting sun was beautiful.
The background music was from my husband's youth, which also became a wonderful memory.

以前ディナークルーズに乗ったことはあり、今回も主人が乗った事がなかったのでディナークルーズにしようと思っていました。
ですが、サンセットクルーズに乗ってみようという事で、早速申し込みました。
受付を済ませ時間になり乗船。
私達以外は外国の方ばかりでしたが、皆さんそれぞれ楽しみ、マイタイで乾杯しながら出港。
海側から見るワイキキビーチ、ダイヤモンドヘッドの反対側。そして昼間体験したアクティビティから見えた山など、すごく良かったです。
もちろん沈みゆく太陽、綺麗でした。
BGMも主人の青春時代の曲で、それも良い思い出になりました。

Great value, the three staff members were helpful in promptly refilling drinks when they saw empty cups. Also gave my wife and I unlimited mai tai's, probably for everyone else on the catamaran too. Ride was bumpy at times but we didn't get sea sick. Music choice was also perfect the entire way though. They take great pictures of you as well.

Every time I walk along Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, which I have visited many times, I would see the "Mai Tai Catamaran" but would pass by without paying much attention. When a friend who is well-versed in Hawaii asked me, "Have you ever been on the Catamaran?" and I replied, "I know about it, but I haven't," he exclaimed, "What are you doing in Hawaii? You can't start your Hawaii experience without riding the Catamaran! It would be pointless to go to Hawaii!" I thought he was being a bit dramatic, but his enthusiasm piqued my interest, and I attempted to board once, but that year (2019, before the pandemic), it was fully booked every day. I resolved that the next time I went to Hawaii, I would definitely ride the Catamaran, and I made my reservation around the same time I booked my flight tickets.
On the day of my reservation in early August 2022, we went to the check-in area on the beach in front of the Sheraton at the designated time, confirmed our reservation with the voucher, and then walked barefoot along the shoreline to board the "Catamaran," being careful not to bring sand onto the boat. Two capable crew members skillfully prepared for departure, and as the boat smoothly pulled away from the beach and floated into the sea, an extraordinary feeling and excitement washed over me. I understood what my friend meant. The Catamaran proceeded slowly offshore, paying attention to the surfers near the beach, and after a while, it raised its sails and picked up speed. I was moved by the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the ocean, a perspective I had never seen before. The crew announced that drinks were ready, and we toasted as a family on board. バウチャーで予約確認、その後、砂浜に乗り上げた形で留っている「カタマラン号」へ裸足で波打ち際を歩き船に砂を載せないよう注意深く乗船します。2人の頼もしい操船スタッフが手際よく出航させるのですが、船が砂浜から「すーっ」と離れ船が完全に海に「ふわー」と浮いた瞬間から非日常的な感覚とワクワク感が襲ってきます。これがハワイ通の友人が言っていた事なのかと納得。カタマラ号はビーチ付近のサーファー達に気を配りながらゆっくりと沖合へ進み、しばらくすると帆を上げスピードアップ、ワイキキの街並みやダイヤモンドヘッドを今まで見ていた逆の目線、海からの景色に感動します。操船スタッフからドリンクが用意できていますとアナウンス、そして船上で家族で乾杯。青色の海、青色の空、ハワイの香り、潮風の音、アップテンポなBGM、帆がなびく音、それぞれが相まって私の語彙力では表現出来ない何とも言えない極上の時間です。
暫くするとイルカ達がカタマラン号と一緒に遊ぶ姿を見せてくれました。
太陽が水平線近づき、次第に船が沖合からビーチが近くになるのが残念に思えます。サンセット、日没と同時ぐらいにワイキキビーチへ戻りカタマラン号のクルーズは終わりとなります。次回またハワイに行く事が出来れば必ずカタマラン号に乗船します。

After three years, I participated in a sunset cruise on a catamaran in Hawaii. It was so much fun. Seeing Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea, the sunset, and the sky turning pink afterward was breathtaking. There was a rainbow over Waikiki. We laughed out loud while getting splashed by the waves, and we even started singing together. It was a truly enjoyable time.
Since you might get wet, it's best to wear clothes that can get wet and keep your valuables in a waterproof bag. There was storage available, but there's a chance of getting splashed by the waves.
I definitely plan to participate again on my next trip to Hawaii.

とにかく楽しかった。
海から見るワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッド、

波しぶきを浴びて大笑いしたり、大合唱が始まったり、
とても楽しい時間でした。
濡れる可能性があるので参加には濡れていい服で、
貴重品は防水バッグに入れておくといいですね。

We have been on at least five catamarans that offer Sunset Sails,and Holokai is our favorite. The Captain is super accommodating with an amazing bartender who manages to stay balanced serving drinks! We will be back in October for another awesome sailing adventure!
I had an amazing time on the Sunset Cruise. The Captain and staff were awesome. Those Maitais were delicious. I loved the cruise and the booze so much that I went on the Fireworks cruise right after. The staff was friendly, which put us at ease. There were no other Japanese participants besides us; the group was filled with tourists from various countries, giving it a truly international feel.
The view of Waikiki Beach from the sea was fantastic, showcasing the familiar luxury hotels and the full panorama of Diamond Head. It was a lucky moment when a sea turtle popped its head up near the boat. We also had the opportunity to stop the boat and dive into the water to swim. The slowly setting sun and the changing colors of the sky over time were truly beautiful.

The crew was very kind and the trip was amazing. Perfect view of Waikiki, the people surfing and doing other activities, Diamond Head and the sunset. If I go back to Hawaii I would book again the trip.
We chose the sunset cruise. Upon arrival we were a bit concerned about the surf as it was pretty rough for this time of the year. I asked the captain about it, and he said they would have no issue. We left the harbor, and the waves were pretty good size. The boat cut through them with no issues. The boat is a good size, about 35' x 55', and we were able to get up and walk around and take some great pictures. We took our own cocktails, and the crew had an ice chest to store them. The crew was very friendly, and the cruise was very relaxing. it was the best money spent while on our vacation.
