I was a bit anxious after reading reviews that mentioned not seeing whales and people getting seasick. I also had concerns about getting to the meeting point on my own, but I was able to smoothly take the bus from my hotel without any issues. I used the service on March 11.

It was a little cold, but the view of Waikiki from the sea was absolutely wonderful. I thought that even if I didn't see any whales, it would still be nice to go cruising.

Once we got out to sea, I was able to spot whale spouts and tails several times, and I even saw whales jumping and a mother and calf. It was great! I'm really glad I participated.

Also, once on the boat, they take photos of you, which are later sold for $20. I wanted the photos, but the price was too high for me to consider buying (I wish it were at least $5), and I felt bad declining. If you're not planning to buy, it might be better to skip the photos altogether.

集合場所にも自分で行かないと行けない不安もありましたが、ホテルから路線バスでスムーズに行く事が出来て、問題なし。
3月11日に利用しました。
少し寒かったのですが、海から見るワイキキは凄く素敵で、クジラが見れなくてもクルージングに来たと思えばいいかな。と思ってました。

沖に出るとクジラの潮吹きや尾ひれを何度か確認出来、そしてクジラのジャンプ？や親子を見る事が出来ました。良かった～～♪
参加して良かったと思いました。

あと船内に入ると写真を撮られるのですが、後で20ドルで販売されます。
写真は欲しかったのですが、値段が高くて買う気になれず(せめて5ドルとかにしてほしい)、断るのも申し訳なくなります。
買う気がない方は写真を撮らずにスルーした方がいいかもしれません。

During the two-hour cruise, there was live music and shows happening right in front of us the entire time. The staff were all smiling, and it was a happy experience. The buffet food was a bit disappointing, but the sunset and the view of Diamond Head were absolutely fantastic.

The weather was nice, and we were able to see the sunset and fireworks beautifully. The fireworks from the sea can only be seen on tours like this, so I'm glad I participated! The buffet had a lot of variety, and everything was delicious. I was worried about getting seasick, but since we spent quite a bit of time on the deck, everyone in my family who joined me didn't get sick.

I often come to Hawaii, but it was my first experience seeing Waikiki and the sunset from the ocean. My parents in their 70s and my teenagers were all delighted across generations.

I was worried about getting seasick since I had that experience during a previous whale watching trip, but I had no problems at all this time. The hotel shuttle arrived on time, which was very reassuring.

Onboard, there was a buffet along with Hawaiian dance entertainment, and as expected from Hawaiians, they were great at getting everyone excited! I couldn't help but join in and dance with my kids. I'm satisfied that I was able to make my parents happy.

I debated until the last minute whether to go for the star rating, but choosing the buffet course was the right decision. Whether dining in the restaurant or getting takeout, the portions were quite large, and I was feeling a bit heavy, so the buffet, where you can take as much of what you like as you want, was great. The somen salad and grilled chicken were delicious. The roast beef, which I had high expectations for, was tough due to its thickness. I thought it would be better if it were sliced thinner, so I deducted one star for that. The desserts were decent as well. The hula dance show was very lively and fun. The crew was friendly and smiling, making it a great memory.

I skimped on the $1 shuttle and stayed in the Waikiki area, but I recommend not being stingy with that $1 and opting for the Sheraton pickup if you're staying along Waikiki Beach!

The food was great, the views were nice, I highly recommend it!
There were mostly Japanese people, but I was able to fully enjoy the Hawaiian atmosphere!

Makani Dinner Cruise exceeded our expectations!

We originally tried to book the Star Line dinner cruise, but it was booked up. I'm glad we decided to book the Makani dinner cruise. It exceeded all of our expectations! The boat wasn't very big, but was able to accommodate up to 65 people.
The crew were very welcoming and willing to help with anything we needed during our ride. They really made the whole experience a lot more personable than we would have gotten if we booked the Star Cruise.
The food was a small buffet style selection. It was all you can eat, and was excellent! They don't have an open bar, but there's one free drink included in your purchase. The bartender Chris was a real cool guy. Probably the most popular guy on the boat. I can't seem to put my finger on why lol.
To cap the night off the fireworks over the water were amazing! To see Waikiki lit up and glaring with fireworks was the highlight for me. I would definitely recommend wearing a light jacket, possibly even some pants. It gets extremely windy during the ride!
If you're considering doing the dinner cruise you can't go wrong with the Makani!

We booked this tour because we wanted to see the sunset and beautiful scenery on our honeymoon. Since we were staying at Outrigger Reef, it was very convenient after departure and upon arrival.

However, it was indeed the rainy season. There were a lot of clouds, and we couldn't see the sunset. Additionally, being on a small boat was quite rocky. I felt nauseous and could hardly see the scenery.

Drinks are free, but I recommend not having too much alcohol. Also, it gets very cold, so I suggest bringing a jacket (I brought a down jacket).

There were only three Japanese people, including us, so it felt like an overseas club atmosphere, but that was fun in its own way, so I rated it a 3.

If you go during a time with better scenery, it might be more enjoyable.

今回は新婚旅行で来たため、サンセットが見たい、綺麗な景色が見たいとこのツアーを予約しました。
アウトリガーリーフに泊まっていたため、出発後到着後はとても便利でした。

しかし、さすがの雨季。
雲はたくさんあるし、サンセットは見れませんでした。それに加え、さすが小型船。揺れがとにかくすごい。気持ち悪くなってしまい、景色もほぼ見れませんでした。

飲み物は無料ですが、お酒をあまりとられないことをおすすめします。また、とても寒いので上着を持っていくことをおすすめします。(わたしはダウンを持参しました。)

日本人はわたしたちを含め三人しかおらず、海外のクラブのような雰囲気でしたが、それはそれで楽しかったので、評価としては３にしました。

This time, we participated with three families, totaling eight people. There were a few Japanese individuals with poor manners, but we tried not to let it bother us, as we also have small children. The meeting time was 7 PM. I got lost and was about 10 minutes late, which made me anxious. However, check-in actually started around 7:20 PM, so I was able to participate without any issues. The Hilton fireworks began right after departure and ended quickly, so afterward, we just enjoyed the distant night views and drinks. There was a wide variety of beverages, so I think everyone can enjoy it. There are also restrooms, which is reassuring. When I participated, there was one other group of Japanese people. There were also families with children. All the explanations were in English, but I think it should be fine.

集合時間は19時。迷ってしまい10分ほど遅れたので焦りました。が、実際のところチェックインは19時20分くらいからスタート。問題なく参加できました。ヒルトンの花火は出航後すぐに始まって、すぐに終わってしまうので、その後はひたすら遠くの夜景とお酒を楽しむ感じ。飲み物の種類は豊富だったので、どなたでも楽しめると思います。トイレもあるので安心です。私が参加した時は日本人があともうひと組いたかな。お子さん連れの方もいました。説明等、全て英語のみでしたが大丈夫だと思います。
