This was my first time participating, and it was really fun! The boat rocked quite a bit, but no one got seasick during our trip. The staff only spoke English, but they were cheerful, and there were no significant inconveniences. Once we got started, it was more exciting than scary, and it was truly a memorable experience that you rarely get to have. I wish we could have dived more. We went at the end of September, and it was really cold after we got out. Also, I'm glad I brought an underwater camera!

今回初めての参加でしたが本当に面白かったです！
船はかなり揺れましたが私たちの時は誰も船酔いしませんでした。スタッフの方は英語しか話せませんが陽気で特に不便な事もなかったです。
いざ始まってみると怖いというより滅多にできる体験ではないので本当に楽しく感動でした。
出来ればもっと沢山潜っていたかったです。
私たちが行ったのは９月末でしたが上がった後はすごく寒かったです。あと水中カメラは持っていってよかったです！

my wife was affraid at first , but when it was over she couldnt wait to come back next year and do it again . we have traveled to hawaii many times and had many adventures , but of all , this was our favorite . great dvd by the way .

good tour, saw lots of the island. cell phones and talking need to be discouraged. they were very distracting.

My family and I enjoyed our whole day in PCC. We manage to visit all the 7 tribes of polynesia thanks to our to guide. He was very courteos and very friendly specially to our little ones. The day went very smooth although the weather was hot and muggy. The food at the luau was good as well as the performances of the girls and cousin benny. It was a delightfull dinner indeed. After the luau, we had 1 hour free time to ourselves to visit the souviener shops and check our photos taken during the day. A bit expensive for an 8X10 picture but we bit the bullet for the sake of remembrance. The night show was splendid. They pretty much showed all the seven tribes altogether and made a fabuluos show. Hula dancers were good, they were great shaking their butts. Men were also good at what they do. They really played their part as a tribe warriors. They added a little humor which I thought was cool such as slipping down the floor and pretending to hurt their butt. The three men fire dancers remind

An awesome experience! My 1st time I was a little nervious, but with the assurance of our tour guide and how we were placed with our horses, I had a great time. Would totally recomend it! Mahalo!

I've been to Hawaii many times, but this time I wanted to join a tour that I had never done before, and I found this one. At first, my wife and I were anxious because the guide only spoke English and it involved sharks, but once we participated, the guide was kind and entertained us with easy-to-understand English mixed with Japanese. When we dove into the ocean, we were overwhelmed by the countless sharks in the incredibly blue sea, but by the end, my wife and I were so into it that we said we wanted to dive even more. I recommend this for those who are familiar with Hawaii and looking for some excitement.

ハワイには何度も行っていますが今回は今までにしたことのないツアーに参加したくてこのツアーを見つけました。
最初はガイドが英語のみだしサメということで妻と二人で不安でしたが実際に参加してみるとガイドの方は親切でわかりやすい日本語まじりの英語で楽しませてくれました。
海に潜ると今までに見たこともない真っ青な海に数え切れない程のサメに圧倒されましたが終わるころには妻と二人でもっと潜っていたいねと言うほどのめり込んでしまいました。
ハワイに慣れて刺激を求める方にお勧めです。

I participated in September 2006.
Aside from my husband and me, the other tour participants were four white Americans and Australians.
On the boat, the staff provides safety instructions before we enter the cage that is submerged in the sea.
English was sufficient, but there are explanation panels in Japanese for Japanese participants.

As we head out to sea on a private boat, we see sharks appearing one after another.
Then we enter the cage that is submerged in the sea to see the sharks.
It was really thrilling.
They keep throwing food in, so the sharks come one after another.
It was so much fun.

However, since we were offshore, there were quite a few waves. Watching the sharks from a cage that was half floating in the waves made me feel quite seasick.

The nausea hit me more after getting back on the boat.
My husband and an American woman ended up getting sick on the boat.
I found it tough, but I managed to hold it in.
It seems that people often get sick, and the staff casually said, "Feeling unwell? Just throw up outside the boat." They had plenty of water available for us to drink.

Despite those little mishaps, I think it was a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it.

2006年9月に参加しました。
ツアー参加者は私たち夫婦以外は、アメリカ人、オーストラリア人の白人が4人でした。
船上でスタッフの方が海中に檻を沈めてから中に入るまでの注意をしてくれます。
英語で足りましたが、日本人用には日本語の説明パネルがあります。

専用のボートで沖に行くと、出るわ出るわサメさんたちが。
そして海中に沈めた檻に入ってサメをみます。
いや~迫力でしたよ。
エサをどんどん投げ入れるので、サメは次々に来ます。
楽しかった~。

でもね、沖合い（？）なので割と波があるんです。その波に半分浮かんだ折の中でサメを見るので、結構酔います。

酔いは船にあがってからの方がきます。
夫とアメリカ人の女性は船上で戻してしまいました。
私はツラかったけど、我慢した。
吐く人はしょっちゅういるみたいで、スタッフさんは「気分悪い？、船の外に吐いて吐いて」みたいな感じであっさりでした。お水もたくさん用意されていて飲ませてくれました。

そんなハプニングもありながら、とても楽しい体験だと思います。オススメです。

My husband and I had a gret time at the Polynesian Cultural center. The tour bus guide "Kemo" or Cousin K was very knowledgeble about the cultures, and land legends of Oahu. The tour bus ride was 1 hour 15 minutes from Waikiki, but it went by very quickly. He taught us how to speak Hawaiin properly, a few legends from the Windward side, as well as the local spots. Once in the center, we got to see all but 2 islands (very hard to do as the center is huge) and we went to many shows, the canoe ride, the lua, and the night show. It was a very long and hot day that ended in a huge rain shower, but it was so worth it and we do not regret spening the whole day there. Very educational!!

My wife and I celebrated our Honeymoon in Oahu, and choose to goto the Cultural Center for the day, including the luau and the show.
It was an amazing experience!
Each village was unique and the people were so friendly!
My only suggestion is to sell caffinated coffee and soda at the Center...since many people are there all day they will need a pick me up.
The worst part of the entire day was our bus driver to and from the Center...Loretta. She was boring, rude, and forgot we were on the bus.

Great trip, with a very knowledgeable captain and crew.
Bring your underwater camera for some pictures of a lifetime,,,, so you think!
You will be back to enjoy this again.

Visibility was well over 50 feet and the water was a crystal clear deep blue.
When you are in the cage you are totally protected and safe, yet as the sharks come so close you feel as if you are out there with them.

The only bad thing for me were the pretty high waves, which made it difficult to hold the camera still. (As seen from the pictures)

This experience is on the 'To Do on the next trip' list.

I participated in a 2-hour horseback riding course on September 11. While there weren't any people who could speak Japanese well, it wasn't much of a problem. If you prepare yourself for that, even someone like me who doesn't understand English at all won't be surprised. I was a beginner, but I had the best time riding alone in the magnificent nature. The horse I rode was quite mischievous, wandering off and eating grass, which was challenging at first, but by the second half, I was able to control it well, and I felt a connection with it; it was really cute. Since it's a living creature, I believe it has its own personality even if it's trained. At first, my four companions and I were walking in a scattered line, but a kind female staff member helped us line up properly. However, for those who aren't confident about their behinds, I recommend starting with a shorter time. It seemed to be tough for my companion. We were the only Japanese people there, but I didn't feel any discrimination and was able to have a fun time.

9/11に乗馬2時間コースに参加しました。
たしかに日本語がまともに話せる人はいなかったのですが、たいして困らなかったです。
ただ、そのように覚悟をしておくと私のようにまったく英語がわからない人でもびっくりすることがないと思います。
私は初心者でしたが、荘大な自然の中を1人で馬に乗れるなんて最高の時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
私が乗った馬はけっこうやんちゃな子で寄り道して草ばっかり食べて最初は大変でしたが後半ではうまくコントロールできるようになりましたし、また心が通じた気がしてほんとにかわいかったです。
生き物ですから調教されてるといっても個性はあると思います。
4人の連れとも最初ばらばらに並んで歩いていましたがやさしい女性のスタッフがちゃんと前後に並ばせてくれました。ただ、お尻に自信が無い人は最初は短い時間をお勧めします。連れはそれが大変だったみたいです。
日本人は私達だけでしたが特に差別的なことも感じず楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

thought that the imax theater, while beautiful in technique, was political in nature and not needed. that was the only downside to our adventure.

I have done this shark encounter twice now and it does not disappoint!!! Ever come face to face with a tiger shark? Here is your chance. Do it and you will not regret it. Besides, it gets you out of the hectic city of waikiki/honolulu, and the best bragging rights ever with your friends!!!

We just purchased the general admission which starts at 4pm til 9pm Friday, 9/14.
We thought that when we get there there will be entertainment in each island that was presented but to our surprise some of the islands are empty. No performers. We did the canoe ride wherein you don't really see much entertainment, just showed us the different cultures of diff. islands.
The Cultural show was the best. But because of the site where we seat we could not really see it very well.
But we had a great time.

Suggestion: It would be nice if you have some more choices of menu in the snack bar for those guests that did not buy the package with the dinner and the luau so they can also enjoy the food even if they have to buy it themselves.

I'm glad I could do it in Japanese.

This was BY FAR the funnest and most exciting thing we did on the island!! SO SO SO many sharks, too cool! Staff was great, knowledgable, funny! Such a great time!

Great activity!! We saw so many sharks ranging from 4-15 feet long. We were lucky enough to be in Hawaii at the right time to see tiger sharks.

I participated in a two-hour horseback riding course. Both my friend and I were a bit anxious since we are not fluent in English, but it turned out to be an incredibly fun time.

First, the staff began with an explanation. It seems there weren't enough staff members who could explain in Japanese, so the Japanese explanation was limited to the main points, such as the dangers involved in handling animals and how to hold the reins.

Next, we chose our horses, and the staff designated who would ride which horse. It seems that even though we were paired, we couldn't ride in the order we wanted, but they seemed to choose based on the horses' conditions. Additionally, if we mentioned later that we were a pair, they would adjust the order during the ride, so I didn't think it was a problem.

This time, two female staff members accompanied us during the ride. They were very cute and kind. Although they hardly understood Japanese and sometimes spoke harshly when participants didn't follow instructions, I understood that it was necessary due to safety concerns.

In fact, there was someone who accidentally pulled the reins too hard, causing their horse to back up, which made the horse's hind legs almost go over a cliff, creating a bit of a scare, but the staff quickly rushed over.

The horses were well-trained and walked slowly in line (they are usually very calm, but each horse has its own personality, which is interesting). The staff, mixing in some broken Japanese, tried hard to convey that there were Godzilla footprints, took pictures for us, and even picked some wild Gaba fruits growing by the roadside to distribute to everyone, making the experience enjoyable.

Amidst the magnificent scenery, swaying on the cute horses, we had a leisurely ride (sometimes at a brisk pace) and spent a wonderful time horseback riding.

　乗馬２時間コースに参加しました。
　スタッフの対応等の体験談で私も友人も英語が堪能なわけではないので、不安な面もありましたが、私達が参加した時は最高に楽しい時間となりました。
　まず、スタッフの説明から始まりました。こちらについては、日本語で十分に説明できるスタッフがいないらしく、日本語の説明は要点のみとなっていました。生き物を扱うので危険がともなうことや手綱の引き方です。
　次に馬を選んで、スタッフの人が騎乗する人を指名します。これについては、ペアだからといってこちらの思うように順番に乗せてはもらえないようですが、馬の様子等をみながらで選んでくださっているようです。それに、後でペアだからと伝えれば、乗馬の時の並ぶ順番は前後にしてくれるので問題はないと思いました。
　今回は女性スタッフ二人が参加者の前後についてくれました。このお二人がとてもかわいくて親切でした。日本語はほとんど通じませんし、参加者が指示を守れてなかったりした時の口調はきついものもありましたが、危険があるのでそれはしかたがないと思いました。
　実際、思わず手綱を引っ張ってしまったのか、馬を後ずさりさせてしまった人がいて、馬の後ろ足が崖にかかってちょっとヒヤッとしたりもしましたが、その時はスタッフが駆けつけてました。
　馬はしっかり調教されていて、ゆっくりと並んで歩きます（調教されていてたいていはとてもおとなしいのですが、それぞれの馬に個性があってそこもおもしろいです）。
　スタッフの人は片言の日本語を交えながら、参加者に一生懸命ゴジラの足跡があることなどを伝えようとしてくださってたり、写真を撮ってくれたり、道端に自生しているギャバの実を採ってきて皆にひとつずつ配ってくれたり、楽しくしようとしてくださってました。
　雄大な景色の中、かわいい馬に揺られてのんびり（時々小走り）と、たっぷり乗馬ができてとても良い時間を過ごすことができました。

There were so many of them. I expected one or two but there were more then a dozen. Captain Bubba and Brandon were fabulous. My husband didn't want to go but ended up not wanting to get out of the cage because he was having such a blast! Definately something to do again.

My husband and I had the pleasure of experiencing this excursion on September 8, 2007. Our guides Karen and Hana were great, they were very thorough with the instruction and were masters of matching up the horses with the guests. Karen was up front with us so i had more experience with her, she was pointing out all the movie location spots and actually stopped to pick us all fruit, she went on to explain some natural horse behaviors, cuz i was kinda nervous and she put me completely at ease. She was even nice enuff to stop and collect our cameras so that we can have a picture on our horses. The experience was great, the views were nothing short of breathtaking, the history of the ranch is a story worth hearing as well. I would definately do this again! Although it is nose to tail riding, you can NOT run the horses but its more about the scenery anyway! GREAT TIME!

It was a great experiance. My family and I had a blast. The food was outrageously great!!!! Our guide kouli was great. He gave us the greatest tour ive ever had in my life. He had a wealth of knowlege of all the islands

Good show, starts slowly

This time, I participated in a shark tour for the first time. It was just the three of us: my 14-year-old son, my 65-year-old father, and me, 39 years old. My husband, daughter, and mother were too scared and explored the North Shore instead. I took motion sickness medicine before getting on the boat, but the significant rocking made me feel a bit queasy even before diving. The North Shore has bigger waves in winter, so those participating in winter should be prepared.

However, after two groups of foreigners joined us, it was our turn to dive. When we went underwater with our snorkels, we saw beautiful sharks swimming around our cage, and my excitement skyrocketed!! It was mystical and truly beautiful. The staff only understood a little Japanese, but there are manuals written in Japanese, so it’s manageable. My son is saying he wants to do it again!!

今回、初めてシャークツアーの参加しました。
息子14歳、父65歳、私39歳の3人の参加。
主人、娘、母は怖がり、ノースショアを探索しておりました。
酔い止めを飲んで舟に乗った私でしたが、かなりの揺れに、
海に潜る前から、少々気分は悪かったです。ノースショアは、冬場はもっと波が出るでしょうから、冬に参加される方は覚悟がいります。
・・・が、外国人の方々が2組入ったあと、私達の番で、いざ潜ってシュノーケルで海の中を見ると、綺麗なサメが沢山、私達の檻の周りを泳いでいて、一気にテンションが上がりました！！
神秘的で、本当に美しかったです。
スタッフの方も、日本語はほんの少ししか通じませんが、日本語で書いてあるマニュアルもありますし、大丈夫です。
息子は、またやりたい！！と言っています

This was are favorite activity. You are taken out 3 miles from the shore in 400+ ft of water and put in a cage while chum is thrown from the boat. Then its a shark fest. We seen about 20+ Galapagos sharks. Bring a waterproof camera to capture the excitement. It was really difficult for us to get pictures because the water was so choppy, but out of 27 pictures we got 20 great pictures.

My husband and I brought our two sons to Oahu for the very first time. The PCC was beautiful, and we enjoyed it so much! The luau was awesome! We hope to return next year!!

The tour guide and bus drivers were very nice.
