It was scary, but I'm glad I did it!

怖かったーでもやって良かった！！

One word...INSANE! By far one of the coolest things I have ever gotten the chance to do. Some of the sharks even sueface and you can see their fins cutting through the water like Jaws. They are very non-agressive...they know you are there but they could care less...they just want some crab. I was able to go mid-March during whale watching season and the whales gave us a great show...one actually came out of the water about 100 yards from the boat, it was absolutely breath taking. I would definitely go again and drag everyone I know! Thank you North Shore Shark Encounters for an unforgettable experience!!

This is a great way to see the island. The driver was very knowledgeable, and we visited some beautiful areas. We had about 15 min. at each stop, which was fine, except at the Dole plantation. Honestly, I dont know why they bother. In 15 min we had time to get our ice cream, and that was it. No time to browse the gift shop at all, or browse the grounds at all. Either allow more time at Dole, or skip it altogether. The driver could use a bell of some sort. We often had to wait for people who didnt return when they were supposed to. I dont know if those delays made much difference, we still got to the Polynesian Cultural Center around 1pm, which was plenty of time. The evening show after the luau was fantastic.

Great value for a great price. The only negative is that you definitely need more than ~1 hour to get an adequate feeling of the entire Center. This is a great package if you're just looking for a luau (buffet style with entertainment) and an excellent evening show. Will definitely go back for an entire day trip!

It was my first challenge in life. The instructor taught us carefully, so even beginners can feel at ease. I was moved by the amazing view from the sky. It's definitely worth trying at least once. When I come back to Hawaii, I want to challenge myself again!

インストラクターの方が丁寧に教えてくれるので、初心者でも安心してできます。空から見る景色のすごさに感動しました。一度は、やってみる価値はあります。
ハワイにまたくる時は、挑戦したいです！

Late entry was perfect for our 3 year old. She was well rested and was able to enjoy the luau and Ha! Too bad we didn't have enough time for shopping and site seeing around the center. Maybe next time.

We went on a small boat, but there was quite a bit of rocking, so some people felt unwell. → I felt like I was going to throw up...

We go inside a cage, so it's safe, but the waves were pretty rough, which made it quite challenging. Depending on where you are in the cage, you might be able to take good photos or see the sharks up close, so there is some variation. I desperately dove down to take pictures, but since I was using goggles and an instant underwater camera, the subjects were often misaligned, and the shadows didn't come out well, which was disappointing. However, the sharp eyes of the sharks are clearly etched in my memory♪

In March, it’s still cold, so a cover-up is essential. Some people stayed in their swimsuits, but for those not used to the sea, I think a jacket about the thickness of a sweatshirt would be good.

As for my thoughts after the experience, I want to participate again (laughs)♪

小型の船で行きますが、
横揺れがかなりありましたので、
気分が悪くなっている方もいらっしゃいました。
→海にモドシマス。。。

檻の中に入りますので、安全ですが、
波が結構荒くて、大変っていえば大変です。
檻の中の場所によって、
写真がよく撮れたり、サメが近くに見れたり
多少は差があると思います。
私は必死で潜って写真とりましたが、
ゴーグルして、水中カメラ(インスタント)でしたので、
被写体がずれたり、
日陰がうまく写ってくれなくて、悲しかった。
でも、サメの鋭い目は記憶にはっきりとあります♪

3月はまだ寒いので、羽織るものは必須です。
水着のままでいる方もいらっしゃいましたが、
海になれてない方は、
トレーナー位の厚さの上着でも良いと思います。

終わっての感想ですが、
また参加したい(笑)♪

Booked this activity about 2 weeks before I left for Oahu. Pure excitement before launch. It was a quick ride out to the location, easy intrusctions and pure fun and amazement being able to see sharks in the natural habitit. They seemed to be flying effortlessly through the water around the cage and the boat and showed no aggression towards us, only curiousity. Such a great experience and wish I could of done it each day for the rest of my vacation. i highly recommend this for EVERYBODY.

it rained the whole time we were in hawaii. but not on this day! we went out on the bay in haleiwa a short distance and saw many, many whales, not just the spouting blow holes, but actually jumping out of the water and splashing around. make sure you book while the whales are in town, from november to april, according to the guide.

My daughter participated because she wanted to ride a horse. It seems she was able to ride quite seriously, which is great.

I participated in the 2-hour buggy course. First, we watched a Japanese explanation video to understand the risks, and then a staff member who spoke a little Japanese explained how to ride before we set off. The steering was heavier than driving a regular car, and driving on narrow roads was a bit scary, but I gradually got used to it and had a lot of fun riding smoothly. I joined the course that started at 3:30 PM, but it got a little dark in the evening, so the morning session might be better to fully enjoy the natural greenery. Still, this tour, where you can ride a vehicle that is hard to experience in Japan, racing through the great outdoors, is something unique to overseas. I would like to participate again.

バギー２時間コースに参加しました。
最初に日本語の説明ビデオでリスクを確認、その後、日本語が少し話せるスタッフが乗り方を説明してくれて、すぐに出発です。通常の車の運転よりもハンドルが重くて、狭い道の運転は少し怖かったのですが、徐々に慣れて、スイスイ乗ることができて楽しかったです。午後15：30からのコースに参加したのですが、夕方は少しうす暗くなってしまって、自然の緑を堪能するためには、午前中の回がよいかもしれません。それでも、日本ではなかなか乗ることができない乗り物を大自然の中を駆け抜けるこのツアーは海外ならではです。また参加したいと思います。

I was very nervous about my first skydiving experience. The instructor was very kind and provided great guidance. They made it very exciting for me.

初めてのスカイダイビングでとても緊張していました。
インストラクターの方がとても優しく指導してくださいました。
とてもエキサイティングにさせてくれました。

I participated in a two-hour horseback riding tour starting at 3 PM.

On the day of the tour, it was raining intermittently, but I wore a T-shirt with a hoodie, so it wasn't a problem. More than that, the mist over the mountains made it even more mystical. They also provide raincoats for free.

Being swayed on the horse for two hours while surrounded by the mountain scenery was more healing than I imagined. While sunny days are beautiful, I also recommend going on a rainy day. You can see countless waterfalls that can only be seen during the rainy season. Just make sure to bring a change of T-shirt.

I will definitely participate again the next time I come to Oahu.

15時からの２時間乗馬ツアーに参加しました。

参加当日は雨が降ったり止んだりしていましたが、
Tシャツにパーカーを羽織っていたので問題なかったです。
それよりも山に霧がかかって、いっそう神秘的でした。
カッパは無料で貸してもくれます。

２時間馬に揺られて山の景色の中につつまれていたら、想像以上に癒されました。晴れもキレイでしょうが、雨の日もお勧めですね。雨の多い時季にしか見れないという無数の滝も見れます。ただ着替えのTシャツは持っていった方がいいですが。

次にオアフに来るときも絶対参加します。

I have a lasting impression from a horseback riding experience along the beach in Oahu, and this time I finally participated since my child is old enough to ride. I had imagined a light gallop, so I felt a bit underwhelmed by the well-behaved horses that walked slowly in a line. However, my children, who were experiencing riding (handling the reins themselves) for the first time, and my 63-year-old mother enjoyed it innocently.

At the beach, we were fortunate to see wild sea turtles and seals up close, and the Japanese guide was very unique, making it a truly enjoyable activity. Since it was my first time staying at the Sheraton, I didn't know where the Aloha Landing was, which caused a delay in our departure, and I regretted not being able to give a tip to the guide, whom I was very grateful to. I think I will request a different activity next time.

昔オアフでビーチ沿いを走る乗馬体験をしたのがとても印象に残っていて、今回はやっと子供が乗馬できる年齢になったので参加しました。
軽く疾走するくらいのイメージだったので、きちんと列になりゆっくり歩くお利巧なお馬さんたちに若干の物足りなさはあったものの、乗馬（自分で手綱をさばく）初体験の子供たちと63歳の母は無邪気に楽しんでいました。
海岸では幸運にも野生の海がめとアザラシを間近に見れたし、日本人ガイドのおじさんもとってもユニークで本当に楽しいアクティビティでした。
シェラトンの宿泊は初めてだったので、アロハランディングの場所がわからず行き違いで出発が遅れてしまったり、ガイドの方にとても感謝したのでぜひ渡したかったチップを渡しそこなったり、すこし後悔が残ったので、また次回は違うアクティビティでお願いしようと重います。

It was fun, but it would have been better if there had been a shuttle service to the ranch! Taking the city bus was enjoyable in its own way, though... The guide only spoke English, so if you can't speak English, you might miss out on the explanations. Still, it was definitely enjoyable.

楽しかったのですが、やはり牧場までの送迎があった方が良かったですね！市バスで行ったのもそれはそれでたのしかったのですが…
ガイドさんも英語オンリーだったので、英語が話せないと説明がわかりませんでした。
それでも十分楽しめます。

I would not characterize this center as a place to do serious information seeking about a culture, but it sure was fun and I learned enough to know it was at least good in what it selected. Yes, the most impressive thing was the stage show, and especially the ending. The story was a rather neat way of combinding all the island cultures and their unique features and similarities. The performers were wonderful.
On the negative side, not many and mostly resolved, our tickets should have included our meal and did not, so needed to be corrected. The food was OK, certainly not great.But there were a few " authentic dishes" that seemed and were more tasty, if only they had been more identified and described.
Sometimes the students hired seemed less than knowledgable or interested in their jobs.Others were wonderful. How do you review them?
And finally, because our tickets needed to be reissued, we ended up in the nosebleed section, which would have been fine, except that the air cond

In mid-January, my wife and I participated with our friends, a couple.

We went to Hawaii for our friends' wedding trip, and while my wife and I had skydived twice before, our friends had no experience, and the groom was afraid of heights... We forced him to sign up and managed to get him to jump.

This time, we jumped from 14,000 feet, which was higher than our previous two jumps, and the freefall lasted over 60 seconds, making it especially enjoyable. Above all, the weather was perfect, and the views were great, making it an incredible experience. The staff were very accommodating, and our friends, who were experiencing this for the first time, seemed to enjoy it without any worries. Although the groom was sweating nervously...

Additionally, for our previous two jumps, we had requested DVD recordings, but in the last one, the instructor's camera only captured my expressions. Here, however, the camera operator jumped with us, capturing the surrounding scenery and the reactions of the people who jumped with us, creating wonderful memories on film.

１月中旬に妻と友人夫妻の４人で参加しました。

友人夫妻のウェディング旅行の立ち会いでハワイ行きとなって自分と妻は過去に２度スカイダイビングの経験があったんですが、友人夫妻は経験がなく、しかも新郎は高所恐怖症…無理矢理申し込み、飛ばせました。

今回は、１４０００フィートで過去の２回より高く、フリーフォールの時間も６０ｓ以上と楽しさもひときわでした。
何より天気が最高で景色もよく見え、最高の経験になりました。
スタッフさんの対応もよく、初体験の友人夫妻も安心して楽しんでくれたようです。
…新郎は冷や汗かいてましたけど…

あと、過去の２回もＤＶＤの記録をお願いしたんですが、前回は２回ともインストラクターの方が手首につけたカメラで、自分の表情しか映ってなかったんですが、ここでは、カメラの担当の方が一緒に飛んでくれて廻りの景色とか一緒に飛んだ人達の様子とかが入っていて、とてもいい思い出映像になりました。

Since we had booked a morning activity without transportation, we started by renting a car. We were waiting at the rental car counter with plenty of time, but there was a commotion with a white woman... and before we knew it, over an hour had passed, leaving us with a very tight departure. We arrived just two minutes before the activity started (cold sweat).

The activity was all in English, which made me a bit anxious, but we first watched a five-minute horse riding explanation video in Japanese.

As we began riding, it was Christmas, so the horses were wearing reindeer hats, which was adorable. A family of Black participants was there, and they were riding very large, calm horses, but because I am small, I was on a pony? A young horse? It was quite a spirited one (sweat), not listening to me, running off on its own, arguing with the lead horse, and starting to eat (laughs). I was gripping the reins, worried about being thrown off for two hours, and my hands were soaked with sweat. The scenery was stunning, as expected for a movie set. And at the end, we discovered a climbing goat?! I was so happy to see it for the first time.

送迎なしの朝一のアクティビティを申し込んでいたので、私達はレンタカーを借りる所から始まりました。
余裕を持ってレンタカーの窓口で並んでいたのですが、なにやらもめてる白人女性が・・・そのまま１時間以上が過ぎ、かなりギリギリの出発となりました。
到着したのはアクティビティ開始２分前（冷汗）
アクティビティはすべて英語との事で若干の不安がありましたが、始めに日本語での乗馬解説ビデオを５分間くらい見ます。
いざ乗馬開始。クリスマスと言う事もあり馬がトナカイの帽子をかぶっていて可愛かったです。
一緒に参加された黒人さん家族の方は体がすごく大きく、どっしりした落ち着きのある馬に乗られていましたが、私の体が小さいからなのかポニー？子馬？のような馬で、かなりのじゃじゃ馬で（汗）言うことを聞いてくれないし、勝手に走り出すし、リードしてくれる馬と喧嘩をするし、食事をはじめるし（笑）、私は２時間振り落とされないかドキドキしながら手綱を握る手が汗びっしょりでした。景色は映画に使用されるだけあって素晴らしいものでした。なんと最後に木登りヤギ？を発見！！初めて見たので嬉しかったです。

The scenery was truly wonderful, and I enjoyed it even more than I imagined. I think going on a tour is more cost-effective and less of a hassle, but for those who want to leisurely enjoy horseback riding, I recommend the 2-hour course. (It goes by in no time.) I would love to do it again.

景色が本当にすばらしく、想像以上に楽しめました。
ツアーで行ったほうが値段や手間的にはお得かと思いますが、乗馬をのんびり楽しみたい人は2時間コースがオススメです。（あっという間です）
また、リピートしたいです。

You have to try the spear tossing and eat the pineapple delight!

There was no pickup, but The Bus was sufficient. For us, who practice equestrianism in Japan, this ranch was the best and made us so happy. It felt like being a cowboy. The staff were friendly (American).
On the way back, I think it would be great to get off at Kahuku and enjoy shrimp, corn, and more!

ピックアップは無いけれどThe Bus で充分行けました。日本で馬術している私達にとって、これ程嬉しい牧場は最高でした。カーボーイ気分です。スタッフも親切（アメリカン）。
帰りはカフクで降りてシュリンプ、コーンなど召し上がったら良いと思うわ！！

I had been planning to experience skydiving at least once before I die. This time, after 10 years, I traveled to Hawaii with friends, and I decided that even if no one else wanted to do it, I would definitely go for it.

On the day of the jump, there was quite a distance from Waikiki to the skydiving point. Once we arrived, we watched an instructional video, and shortly after, our names were called to put on the harnesses. For an additional fee, you could request a video and photos, and a dedicated cameraman would follow you from the preparation stage.

Without much time to mentally prepare, it was time to board the Cessna! I got on the plane with my dive partner, and after about 15 minutes, we reached the jump point. We were hurriedly told, "GO! GO!!" and without feeling scared, we dove! The moment we jumped, the sensation of being thrown into the open sky without a floor was a bit nerve-wracking.

However, during the 1 to 2 minutes of free fall, I felt absolutely no fear. It was just an incredible wind hitting me from below. I had braced myself for intense G-forces or a feeling of my stomach dropping, but I didn't feel any of that. It's strange. Even those who dislike roller coasters or free falls would be just fine.

And the most moving part? I truly felt that the Earth is round.

I think many people have felt the Earth's roundness from the horizon, but the view I experienced was incomparable. It was the first time I saw a horizon that was close to 360 degrees.

I was made to promise that I wouldn't sue if anything happened, so I mentally prepared for death, but I’m really glad I did it.

Unfortunately, my video camera malfunctioned, and I couldn't capture any footage. I was asked if I wanted to jump again, but since that feeling of excitement wouldn't be the same, I declined. The photos turned out fine, so I purchased those, and they even gave me a T-shirt as an apology.

I plan to do it again in about 10 years. Hopefully, this time I can capture the video...

死ぬまでに1度は体験したい事として昔からタイミングを図っていました。
今回、10年ぶりにハワイへ友達と旅行することになり、
みんながやらなかったとしても、一人でも絶対やろうと決めていました。

いざ、当日。
ワイキキ周辺からスカイダイビングのポイントまでかなり距離があります。
着いて説明ビデオを見て、ちょっとしたら名前を呼ばれ順番にハーネスを付けていきます。
別料金ですがビデオ＆写真を頼むと専属のカメラマンが準備段階から密着してくれます。

心の準備するまもなくセスナへＧＯ！
一緒にダイブするパートナーとセスナに乗り込み約15分。
ポイントに到達すると「ＧＯ！ＧＯ！！」とせかされ、怖さも感じることなくダイブ！
ダイブする瞬間、床のない空へほおり出される感覚はちょっとビビリます。

でも、落ちている1~2分　まったく怖くありません。
ただものすごい風を下からあてられてるってだけ。これホント。
ものすごいＧ？とか、胃が浮くような感覚とか、いろいろ覚悟してたけどまったく感じません。不思議。
ジェットコースターや垂直落下が嫌いな人でも絶対平気です。

そして、一番感動したこと。
本当に地球は丸かった。

地平線や水平線で地球が丸いことを感じた人はいると思うけど、その風景とは比べ物にならない絶景。
360度とは言わないけど、それに近い水平線を見たのは初めてでした。

死んでも訴えません。みたいな約束をさせられるので一応、死を覚悟しましたが、本当にやってよかった。

ただ残念なことに私のビデオカメラだけ故障し、動画が一切撮れてませんでした。。。
もう一度飛ぶか聞かれましたが、あの感動はもうないのでやめました。
写真は大丈夫だったのでそれを購入。お詫びにＴシャツを付けてくれました。

また10年後ぐらいにもう一度やるつもりです。
今度こそ動画が残せますように。。。

This horse ride was all it was promised to be!! We rode on the beach for a good long time! My family and I were looking to do horseback riding that wasn't just on a land trail. Staff was friendly and helpful.
A little more expensive compared to the other locations on the island, but the horses are wonderful and location by the beach makes it even better!

i had a great time with the shark adventure crew. the staff was very funny and gave lots of information! the sharks were amazing but didnt come to close to the cage when i was in there which i was hoping to see. if u are going with a large group of people u dont get to be in the water long either which i though it would be 30min but only ended up 15 min at most, but all in all great experience and i would do it again and i recommend it to anyone who visits the island.

After getting on the shuttle, we arrived in about 40 minutes to an hour. We watched a very fast-paced instructional video and received explanations from the instructor, and before we knew it, we were ready to go!

We boarded the Cessna and ascended to 14,000 feet. Along the way, we could see whales swimming and the beautiful scenery of the entire island, which was absolutely amazing! However, when the door opened and I saw the person in front of me jump out, a wave of fear hit me. It felt less like jumping and more like being thrown out.

When it was my turn to jump, it happened in an instant. The sensation when the parachute opened was scarier than I had imagined, and I couldn't help but scream, but once I calmed down, I was captivated by the beauty of Oahu! However, I did feel a bit nauseous because we were spinning a lot—way more than I expected!

Overall, it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to others!

One concern is that even though we took the same shuttle, the order of diving was random, and we had to wait quite a while for the return shuttle. This time, even though everyone was ready, we ended up waiting for about an hour, which was frustrating.

送迎車に乗り、40分~1時間位で到着。
とても早口の説明ビデオを見て、イントラクターさんに動作の説明をしてもらって、あっと言う間に準備は終了!

セスナに乗って、高度14000ftへ。
途中でクジラの泳ぐ姿が見えたり、島全体の美しい景色が見えたり気分は最高♪♪
…が、しかし。
扉が開いて、前の人が飛び出た瞬間を見たら恐怖がぞっと襲ってきました。飛びおりたと言うより、外へ飛ばされたって感じが…

自分が飛び出ると一瞬です。
パラシュートが開いた瞬間の体感は想像以上に怖いものがあり叫んでしまいましたが、落ち着くとオワフ島の美しさにうっとり♪♪
ただ…そんなに旋回しないで!!ってくらい、旋回してくれるので気持ち悪くなりました。。。

トータル的には、最高です。
絶対人にオススメします!!


懸念点は、同じ送迎車で行っても、ダイビングする順番はバラバラで、帰りの送迎までかなりの時間待たされます。
今回は、全員そろっていたにも関わらす1時間ほど待たされていたのが納得いきませんでした。

I flew for the first time. It was exhilarating!

初めて飛びました。気分爽快！

It goes without saying that it was an amazing experience. Skydiving was something I had always wanted to try! The views were incredible. However, the instructor, who didn't speak Japanese, seemed to be enjoying himself a bit too much, making several spins, which was fun but made me feel nauseous. It was tough to hold back the urge to throw up. The G-force when the parachute opened was more intense than I imagined, causing unbearable pain in both my brain and body. By the way, I did take motion sickness medication, but it didn't help at all. If you feel good, I can guarantee that it will be an outstanding experience from start to finish! I went directly without a shuttle service, so once the diving was over and the DVD and photos were ready, I could leave right away. For those participating with a shuttle, even if you jump at 9 AM, you have to wait until noon for the shuttle to return. I think it's best to participate with plenty of time to spare. Since the wait can be long, I recommend joining without the shuttle service for those who are short on time!

最高な体験なのは、言うまでもありません。
一度は体験したかったスカイダイビング♪
景色も最高でしたよ。
ただ、日本語の通じないインストラクターさん、
調子に乗ってか何度も旋回して楽しんでくれるのはいいのですが、気分が悪くなってしまいます。
吐きそうなのを我慢するのも大変です。
パラシュートが開いた途端にかかるＧは想像以上で、脳も身体も耐え難い苦痛を伴います。
ちなみに酔止め薬はちゃんと飲んでましたが、全然効かないんですよ。
気分さえ良ければ、終始最高な体験になる事は保証します！
私は送迎無しで、直接行ったので、ダイビングが終わり、ＤＶＤや写真が出来上がれば直ぐに帰れました。
送迎での参加の方は９時に飛んでも、１２時まで待たないと送迎はありません。
時間に余裕持って参加されたらいいと思います。
待ちが長いので、時間に余裕の無い方は、送迎無し参加をオススメします！

I was fortunate enough to end the last day of 2011by jumping out of a plane at 14000 ft high, Its probably the best thrill ride you could ever do.

The staff at Pacific Skydiving are friendly and knowledgeable, they keep to the KISS method, this way when you jump, you don't have to worry about anything other than enjoying the ride down.

I highly recommend anybody to jump with them if you can, the cost to jump with them is half the price at any other location I've looked up locally to me.

It was OK. No transportation goes to this activity to start with, so you have to rent a car to get there. They ask you to be the 1/2 hour early, but there is no good reason why because they tell you to go take a walk and are late anyway. The reason you need to bring a swim suit is to use their pool. It has nothing to do with the ride which is nose to tail and they not only would not late us take a camera but never volunteered to take any for us. The woman who seemed to run the tour had no personality at all. But the scenery was awesome :)
