Unlike other tours, there were fewer people, and I was very satisfied.

他のツアーと違って、人数も少なく、大変満足でした。

There was hardly any rocking, and I didn't feel any seasickness, so I was able to enjoy myself. The food was great, with a whole lobster served, which made me very satisfied. If I had to say something, the photos taken were a bit expensive at $20... (This is the case at most main spots in Hawaii...)

ほとんどゆれることも無く、不安していた船酔いも全く無く、楽しむことができました。料理も、ロブスターが一匹まるまる出てきて、大満足。強いて言えば、いろいろと撮られた写真が20ドルと高い。。（ハワイの主なスポットではほとんどそうですが・・・。）

At the time of departure, I thought it would be canceled due to heavy rain, but the rain stopped during the hike, and we were able to go ahead with it. Because of the weather, we couldn't see the sunrise beautifully, but I thought the experience of climbing Diamond Head was valuable. We returned to the hotel before 8 AM, which was also a plus as it meant we didn't waste any time.

出発時は、大雨で中止かと思いましたが、登山中に雨はやみ、なんとか実施できました。日の出は、天気のせいもあり、綺麗にみることはできませんでしたが、ダイアモンドヘッドを登れる経験は貴重だと思いました。８時前にはホテルに戻ってきて、時間も無駄にならない点も良。

I had so much fun touching a dolphin for the first time in my life, and even swimming with one! I also enjoyed the American-style dolphin show, as well as the penguin and sea lion shows, which I could watch freely. It was a day full of enjoyment!

生まれて初めてイルカをさわって、その上、イルカと一緒に泳げるなんて、とても楽しかったです！！！

I had a great time. I definitely recommend participating. Especially for those who love dolphins, try spending a wonderful time with the Royal Swim.

The last time I went to Hawaii, I couldn't participate in this tour, so I was really looking forward to joining this time. After receiving various explanations, we entered the pool, and when the instructor called, two dolphins swam close to us. The dolphins were well-trained and performed tricks right in front of us, spinning around and jumping as instructed. I was also able to touch the dolphins' skin directly. The texture of their skin felt rubbery and smooth. After that, we took turns holding onto the dolphins' fins to swim together and experienced various activities, including getting a push from them. I had a very enjoyable time. If I have the opportunity again, I would love to participate.

前回ハワイに行った時にこのﾂｱｰに参加出来なかったので今回はぜひ参加したいと思っていました。
いろいろ説明を受けた後プールに入り、インストラクターが呼ぶと２頭のイルカが近くまで泳いできました。イルカ達はよく調教されており、インストラクターの言うとおりに目の前でクルクル回ったり、ジャンプしたり芸を披露しました。　また直接イルカの肌を触ることが出来ました。イルカの肌を触った感触はゴムみたいで、スベスベしていました。その後順番でイルカ達のヒレにつかり一緒に泳いだり、足を押してもらったりといろいろ体験が出来ました。とても楽しい時間が持てました。また機会がありましたら参加したいと思います。

The first ride of 2009 was on January 2 at Gunstock Ranch on Oahu. We drove from Waikiki via H1 → R63 → R83 heading north, passed the Polynesian Cultural Center, and just a few minutes further on the left, we saw the sign for Gunstock Ranch. It takes a little over an hour from Waikiki. On the way, we stopped by Cloverleaf Ranch. Two summers ago, my family of four, including the kids, had our first trekking ride there, which made it a memorable ranch for us. After that, my husband and I started attending lessons at the riding club Crane, where we experience ups and downs in a small arena while practicing canter.

Oahu has a couple of beginner-friendly trekking options, but Gunstock Ranch offers an advanced trail ride, which we eagerly signed up for. Due to poor conditions from the rain the day before, we were suggested to switch to a safer scenic ride. However, after discussing our riding experience with our young and cute guide Stephanie, who had a wonderful smile, we were allowed to canter in a safe area. TAKA had just ridden 15 kilometers along the coastline at Frontier Riding Club in Hokkaido last fall. However, for MAMI, who was on her first outdoor ride, it started with a trot, but by the second and third times, she was able to do a more dynamic canter, which was a thrilling experience compared to the small arena.

The group that rode before us consisted of a mix of three and two people, and it seemed they were trekking at a beginner's pace. They likely make efforts to accommodate as many requests as possible for the riding tour based on group composition and negotiations. I am especially grateful to Stephanie, our guide this time!

2009年の初乗りは1月2日オアフ島のガンストック牧場でした。ワイキキからレンタカーでH1→R63→R83と経由北上し、ポリネシアンカルチャーセンターを過ぎさらに北上、5分も行かないところに左手にガンストック牧場の看板があります。ワイキキから１時間ちょっとってとこでしょうか。行きに途中クロレア牧場に立ち寄りました。2年前の夏、子供たちとともに家族4人で初トレッキング常歩乗馬し、乗馬にはまった記念すべき牧場です。その後、乗馬クラブのクレインに夫婦で通い狭い馬場で駈歩のレッスンに一喜一憂しています。オアフの乗馬ツアーは初心者向けのポコポコトレッキングは２~３ありますが、ガンストック牧場はアドバンスド・トレイル・ライドがあり勇んで申し込みました。前日の雨による悪コンディションのため、安全なシーニック･ライドへの変更を提案されましたが、とっても若くてキュートで笑顔の素敵な女性ガイドのステファニーに乗馬経験を話し、セーフティーな場所でキャンター（駈歩）ＯＫってことになりました。TAKAは昨秋北海道のフロンティア乗馬クラブで海岸線を15キロ走ってきたところです。しかし初外乗のMAMIは最初トロット（速歩）でしたが、２回目３回目とどんどんダイナミックなキャンターが出て狭い馬場との違いに感動充実の時間となりました。私たちの前の時間に乗馬したグループは３＋２人の２組の混合でしたが、ビギナーのペースでのトレッキングだったようです。グループ編成と交渉次第で可能な限りの希望通りの乗馬ツアーの実現に努力してくれるのでしょう。とくに今回ガイドをしてくれたステファニーには大感謝ですっ♪

What an AMAZING experience. Sharks close enough to touch! Definitely the highlight of our trip!

It was my first time riding a horse, but it was a well-trained horse, so it walked on its own without me having to do anything. It was such a cute horse.

乗馬は初めてでしたが、よく教育された馬なので何もしなくても歩いてくれました。とってもかわいい馬でした。

The view of Honolulu is amazing. When you turn around, you see the sparkling ocean and horizon. It felt like a dream.

Since Ala Moana is nearby, it's a great spot to visit for a short time before or after shopping. I recommend it for couples, families, and friends alike.

ホノルルが一望できて最高です。
後ろを向けばキラキラの海と水平線。夢のようでした。

近くにアラモアナがあるので買い物前後に短時間でできるし

This is one of the thing you must do in this life.

My husband participated, and it seems he had a great time. There were about ten participants, including three Japanese people, ranging from a 13-year-old girl to couples.

Three staff members assisted, and after a basic explanation, they took us to the shallow waters (it's really shallow; you can stand even when you go out quite far).

He mentioned that even beginners were able to stand on the board and ride the waves. My husband, who doesn't usually exercise, talked about having muscle pain in his arms in the afternoon, but he was smiling and happily saying, "It hurts~" (laughs).

They also sold photo data on a CD as a keepsake. It costs $30, but it includes photos of my husband riding the board, which made for some really fun memories. The photos also include others who participated in the school with us, adding to the wonderful memories.

I was on a different tour, so I didn't see it directly, but my husband was captured vividly on the board, riding the waves, and then... falling off the board, which made for lively conversations about the actual experience.

Since everyone participated, it was hard to take photos of ourselves. The CD also included beautiful photos of Hawaii beyond just that day's events, so I recommend purchasing it.

参加したのは、主人だったのですが、とても楽しかったようです。13歳の女の子からカップルまで、日本人3人を含む10名ほどの参加者がいたようです。

3人のスタッフが付いてくれ、基本的な説明のあと、遠浅（ほんとに遠浅の海です。えっと思う場所まで置きに出ても足がつきます）へボードを持っていきます。

初心者でもボードに立ち、波に乗ることができたとのことでした。日ごろ運動をしない主人は、午後から筋肉痛で腕が痛いと話していましたが、ニコニコと嬉しそうに「いたい~」と話していました（笑）

また、想い出になる写真のデータをCDで販売していました。30ドルとなりますが、主人がボードに乗っている姿を連写してくれている写真などが含まれているので、とても楽しい想い出の写真になりました。写真には、一緒にスクールに参加した方も含まれます。これもすてきな想い出になりました。
私は、別のツアーに参加していたため、直接様子を見ていないのですが、主人がボードに乗り、波に乗り、そして・・・ボードから落ちていく姿が克明に写されいて、実際の様子に話が盛り上がりました。

参加した全員が置きに出ますので、自分たちを写真にはなかなか撮れません。CDには、当日の様子以外にもハワイの素敵な写真が入っていましたので購入をお勧めします。

On Christmas Day, the only place where horseback riding was available was Gunstock Ranch. Although the prices were elevated for the holiday, considering the Christian culture, it was quite appreciated.

There was no shuttle service from the hotel, so we rented a car with a navigation system and challenged ourselves to drive on the right side for the first time. The navigation guided us to our destination without any issues when we entered the address, and by being mindful of the central lane always being on the left, we found that driving wasn't too different from Japan. (I felt it was convenient to have the postal code handy since the navigation I used didn't have a search function by phone number, etc.)

Now, regarding the horseback riding, besides our family of four, there were also four family members from California and two couples participating.

The owner of Gunstock Ranch led the way, with his wife at the midpoint and his daughter (around elementary school age) bringing up the rear as we set off.

It was the first time for my husband, daughter, and son to ride horses, but there were no issues at all. The very smart horses followed commands for right, left, and gallop, taking us along nicely.

While it's common to see guides leading horses in enclosed areas, riding through the great outdoors while enjoying the scenery was truly delightful.

All instructions were in English, but they were easy to understand. We had a lot of fun participating.

I highly recommend it!

クリスマスの25日に唯一、乗馬が可能だったのがガンストック牧場でした。クリスマス料金になっていたのでコストパフォーマンスが良いとはいえませんでしたが、クリスチャンのお国柄を考えれば、ありがたいことしきりです。

ホテルとの送迎はありませんので、ナビ付きレンタカーを借り、初めての右側車線にもチャレンジ。
ナビは、住所の入力で目的地まで問題なく案内してくれましたし、常に左側に中央車線があることを意識して運転をすると、以外と日本と変わらずに運転ができます。
（ナビの利用には、郵便番号を控えておくと便利だと感じました。私が利用したナビは、電話番号などでの検索機能がなかったので･･･）

さて、肝心の乗馬ですが、私たち４人家族以外にも、４名のカリフォルニアから来た家族と、２名のカップルが参加していました。

ガンストック牧場のご主人が先導し、中間地点に奥さん、そして一番後ろには、娘さん（小学校中学年ぐらい）が付いて出発です。

主人、娘、息子は馬に乗るのは初めてでしたが、何の問題もなく、とても賢い馬は、右・左・ギャロップなどの指示に従ってちゃんと私たちを乗せてくれました。

柵の中で、管理者が引き馬をしてくれるケースはよく見ますが、大自然の中、景色を楽しみながらのお散歩乗馬、とても気持ちが良かったです。

説明は全て英語ですが、十分に聞き取りは可能です。
楽しく参加することができました。

I participated in the morning tour. The live commentary is in Japanese, so I recommend it. They teach you about sea turtles and native Hawaiian fish, and talk about the relationship between the depth of the ocean and its color, making it both educational and enjoyable.
You travel by boat to the submarine boarding area. On days with higher waves, it can be quite bumpy, so it's best to take motion sickness medication in advance.

午前中のツアーに参加しました。午前中は日本語でのライブ解説なので、おすすめです。ウミガメやハワイ固有種の魚を教えてくれたり、海の深度と色の関係のお話などしてくれて、理科の勉強にもなり楽しいですよ。
潜水艦の乗り場までは、ボートで移動します。波が高めの日は、結構揺れますので、事前に酔い止めを飲んでおいた方がよいです。

The Polynesian Cultural Center was a great experience! We rented a car and went for the day rather than booking a tour. The Samoan presentation was very funny as well as a learning experience as all presentations are! We were able to try some of the things that we learned from the presentations. Our kids loved collecting the stamps, and the prize at the end. It was an enriching experience that I recommend all to try at least once. We did not attend a luau on property, so I cannot relay any recommendations for that.

I was worried about this activity, but it turned out to be a great experience. Our instructor, Johnny, was attentive, motivated and dedicated to the 3 of us that he was teaching. He kept us going for the 2 hours we were in the water, even when we felt to tired to continue.

Note: You have to be in good physical condition to undertake this activity, it is exhausting, but worth it

This was awesome

A chance to do something like this comes along very infrequently, so take advantage. This is cool, even if you don't go in the cage, to see a dozen or more sharks swimming around the boat is awesome.

This is my second time on the tour and definitely won't be my last. Great time and amazing experience.

This tour was awesome! It was a moment of a lifetime!

I get very sea sick so I made sure to prepare which was a VERY good idea. I took meclazine the day before and then that morning about an hour before leaving. I took the first tour which is the calmest and clearest time. It definitly paid off because we had three people that were turning green on the boat.

Finding sharks was no problem. They came right up to the boat HUNGRY!! When it was your turn to get in it was amazing! It was scarier to see them above the water than when you got in. The water was so amazingly blue! The sharks were so gracefull and you didn't see any of the scariness you do from outside of the water.

I just wish that my expensive underwater camera worked!! None of my pictures turned out! I still have the moment and picture in my mind forever but I wanted to share it with others.

Do not miss this tour!! No mater how nervous you are if you event want to do this a little you should not

I went alone...but it was all the worth while! I highly recommend this experience...and it is an experience. They have two sides of plexiglass on the cage and when your in the water it feels like you are swimming right next to them! All the excitement and enjoyment of swimming with sharks! Spend the money, take the time, do whatever you need to do to fit this in! And the location outside of the tourist traps was also a plus!

it was ok younger kids and family would enjoy it. it was intersting because you see things you wouldn't normally see such as ship wrecks and plane wrecks. seeing aquatic life was pretty cool we saw a female sea turtle the narrator said that was rare. the most annoying was the dual english and japneese narration on a sub that was all english speaking passengers.

THIS WAS GREAT, STAFF WAS SUPER, HAD 5 IN THE CAGE WAS NOT CROWDED AT ALL. WOULD GET DVD NEXT TIME AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME. THANKS FOR A GREAT TIME!!!

Toby and the staff were great! Was thrilled to get up on the waves and even have pictures to prove it! Great activity!

We participated as a family, and everyone was able to stand up on the board on the first try! After a brief explanation of how to stand at the shop, we headed straight to the beach. Unfortunately, it seemed to be a day with no waves, so we had to try with small ones, but with the instructor's help, I was able to stand up! I had previously thought surfing wasn't for me, but my perspective has changed! My body was really close to its limits (laughs), but the instructors were fun and entertaining. I definitely want to challenge myself again next time!

However, one disappointing thing was the CD of photos sold at the end. I recommend that those who wish to purchase it check all the photos before buying! There might be cases where it features specific people, and you might not be in any of them.

ファミリーで参加しましたが、全員１回で立つことが出来ました！
簡単にショップで立ち方の説明を受け早速ビーチへ。残念ながら波がない日だったようで小さい波でのトライだったのですが、先生に思いっきり押してもらい立つことが出来ました！
今までサーフィンはあんまり…と思っていましたが、考えが変わりました！本当に身体は限界に近くなってましたが(笑)、先生達も楽しい人で面白かったです。次回もぜひ挑戦したいと思います！
ただ一つ残念だったのが、最後に販売される写真のＣＤです。
購入される方は全部の写真を確認してから購入することをお勧めします！意外に特定の人ばかりで自分が写っていない…と言うことがありますので。

The staff was friendly, and we were able to have a great time. By the way, besides us, everyone else was from Western countries, which allowed us to fully enjoy the foreign atmosphere.

スタッフの対応もフレンドリーで、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。ちなみに我々の他は、すべて欧米系の人たちで、外国気分を満喫できました。

I participated with my 7-year-old daughter Ponyo and my dolphin mom. It was really fun. It's not every day that you get to touch dolphins, right? Anyway, this tour is a must for dolphin lovers. It's totally fine even if you have small children!

I also joined a tour to swim with wild dolphins, and both experiences were great. Of course, you can't touch the wild dolphins...

I chose a tour without pick-up service, but you can get here by bus or trolley. It was nice because we could stop by along the way without any worries.

During this tour, the dolphin family also hiked to Makapu'u Point as a bonus.

7歳のポニョちゃんとイルカママと3人で参加しました。
本当に、楽しかったです。普段イルカに触れる事など無いですからネー。とにかく、イルカ好きにはたまらないツアーです。小さい子供がいても全然問題なし！
　野生のイルカと泳ぐツアーにも参加しましたが、両方よかったです。野生のイルカはさすがに触れませんからね・・・
　ツアーは送迎なしのもの選びましたが、ザバスやトロリーでここまでは来ることができます。途中気兼ねなく寄り道などできるので、それはそれでまた良かったです。
　イルカファミリーは、このツアーの途中でついでにマカプウ岬もハイキングしてきました。

I never thought I would get to touch dolphins like this. The staff took beautiful photos, and I was very satisfied. Although I can't swim, I managed to be okay. Holding onto the dolphins and swimming was an amazing experience! You absolutely should participate. I will join again!

We were surprised how many sharks we actually saw on this tour!! The staff was very friendly and informative. For those who (like me) do not like scuba diving, this activity only requires snorkeling. Just a tip: If you get any bit seasick, I would not recommend this for you unless you take a high dose of anti-motion sickness medicine before going. Both my husband and I got seasick and lost our lunch while doing the tour. Keep in mind, you are on North Shore with all the big waves and will be on a small boat getting tossed around for at least 2 hours. Overall a great adventure and highly recommended!

I had always wanted to try horseback riding, so I finally decided to participate this time. The scenery at Kualoa Ranch was breathtaking, and it felt like I was in a scene from a movie. It was my first time riding, and I was a bit intimidated by the size of the horse, but I was assigned the calmest and gentlest horse. (The staff selects a horse that matches each person's body type and personality. I think I got a gentle horse because I was really scared.) The horse I rode, Very-chan, was truly smart and very cute, and by the end of the two-hour ride, we had become great friends. My friends, Cookie-chan and Chako-chan, who joined me, were also very calm, smart, and adorable.

I was surprised to jump straight into horseback riding with just a simple explanation in broken Japanese, but the horse was calm, and I quickly felt at ease. I definitely recommend the two-hour course. (I'm sure one hour wouldn't be enough...) Also, be sure to wear long pants and sneakers. The two-hour course runs from the afternoon to the evening, so it might be good to have a long-sleeved outer layer as well.

乗馬は以前からとてもしてみたかったので、今回思い切って参加してみました。クアロア牧場の景色は絶景で、まるでわたしも映画のワンシーンにいるようでした。乗馬は初めてで、馬の大きさにビビっていましたが、私には一番おとなしく優しい馬がわりあてられました。(馬はスタッフの方がその人に合った体型、性格のうまを選んでくれます。私はすごく怖がっていたので、性格のおとなしい馬になったのだと思います。)私がのったヴェリーちゃんは本当お利口さんでとってもかわいくて2時間の乗馬のうちにすっかり仲良しになりました。一緒に参加した友達のクッキーちゃんも、チャコちゃんもとってもおとなしく、お利口さんで可愛かったです。
片言の日本語で簡単なたずなの説明でいきなり乗馬だったのでびっくりしましたが、馬はおとなしくすぐ安心できました。絶対に2時間コースをお勧めします。（きっと1時間ではものたりないのでは.....）と、必ず長ズボンとスニーカー。2時間コースは昼過ぎから夕方にかけてなので長袖のはおりものもあるといいかと思います。
