I went horseback riding at Turtle Bay. The guide's explanations on the way to Haleiwa were very interesting, with local insights that made the journey feel shorter. Before we started riding, I got to touch a pony, but unfortunately, I was lightly (?) bitten by the affectionate pony, and even after 4-5 days, the bruise is still painful, which is disappointing. I really appreciated that they asked for our preference on whether to have lunch early or late. The main horseback riding experience was enjoyable while overlooking the ocean.

タートルベイの乗馬に行きました。
ハレイワに向かうガイドの方の途中の説明は、現地の方ならではのお話もあってとても興味深く聞き、到着まで早く感じました。
乗馬開始前にポニーに触れさせてもらったのですが、甘えん坊のポニーに軽く（？）噛まれて、４~５日経った今も痣になって痛いのが残念です。
昼食の時間は、早めにするか遅めにするかのリクエストを聞いていただいて大変助かりました。
メインの乗馬も海を見ながら楽しめました。

While searching for attractions that I could participate in during a short layover, I found this one. It was also helpful that I could make a reservation at the last minute.

At first, I wasn't sure where the meeting point was, but following the signs on the hotel property towards the beach, I found a stand that looked like it had promotional posters on it. When I asked, I learned that it was the information center. It was located between the hotel pool and the beach, in a spot where the dock was clearly visible, and the stand was similar to the towel rental stands.

Since I didn't know the location, I arrived almost an hour early, but they were able to move my reservation up because there was availability on the previous schedule. Thanks to that, I didn't waste any time.

At the dock, there is a designated photo spot, but I didn't need it. While I was taking a commemorative photo by myself, a staff member kindly offered to help me take pictures. I’m sorry I didn’t buy any photos!

We then moved from the dock to the boat offshore, where we enjoyed watching a submarine rise from the seabed. After boarding, the underwater sightseeing began. I could tell we were descending gradually by looking at the depth meter.

I listened to the Japanese guide on tape, but the guide was explaining in English while also making jokes to keep the atmosphere lively. The view from the windows was enchanting. I had trouble taking pictures with my compact camera due to insufficient light, so I recorded a video instead.

The views on the left and right sides of the submarine are different, but since they reverse on the way back, you can see roughly the same spots. It was a more accessible way to enjoy the seabed, comparable to scuba diving, without the hassle of snorkeling. There are two types of submarines, and you board the one you chose from the boat offshore. You can also see the other submarine's ascent and descent.

I participated alone, but I think it would be more enjoyable if you had someone to talk to.

トランジット途中の数時間滞在という短い時間で参加できるアトラクションを探していたところ、こちらを見つけました。
直前での申し込みも可能だったことも助かりました。
最初集合場所が良く分からなかったんですが、ホテル敷地内にある案内表示に従ってビーチ方面に進むと、宣伝ポスターを貼り付けたようなスタンドを見つけ、聞いてみるとそこが案内所でした。ホテルプールとビーチとの間のとこで、船着場の良く見えるところで、スタンドのつくりはタオル貸し出しのスタンドと同じでした。
場所が分からなかったので1時間近くも前についてしまったところ、１つ前のスケジュールに空きがあるから、と予約の便を繰り上げてくれました。おかげで時間を無駄にしなくてすみました。
船着場ではお決まりの写真撮影場所がありますが私は不要。
自分一人で記念撮影していたら、なんと係りの人が撮影を手伝ってくれました。写真買わなくてすみません＾＾；
船着場から沖合いの船へ移動。そこで海底から浮き上がってくる潜水艦を観賞。
そして乗り込んで海底観光スタート。少しずつ潜っていくのは潜水深度のメーターで分かりました。
日本語ガイドはテープを使って聞いてましたが、ガイドさんは英語で説明しつつジョークのようなことも言って艦内を盛り上げてました。
窓からの景色は幻想的でした。コンパクトカメラで撮影するには光量不足のせいかうまくいきませんでした。ムービーモードで撮影しました。
潜水館の左右の側で見れる景色が違いますが、行き帰りで逆になるので大体同じスポットを見ることは出来ます。
スノーケルよりもお手軽にスキューバ並みに海底を楽しむことが出来ました。潜水艦は２種類は２種類合って沖合いの船で自分の選択した方の船に乗ります。乗らない方の艦の浮上・潜水の様子を見ることも出来ました。
私は一人で参加したんですが、話をする相手が一緒にいた方がより楽しめると思います。

It was a very enjoyable tour. Since it was just my first-grade daughter and me traveling together, we opted for taxi transportation instead of renting a car for sightseeing. My daughter, who loves horses, has been riding since she was three, but being a flag bearer for 90 minutes on her own was a new experience! This is a tour that you can't have in Japan. On top of that, we were able to visit sightseeing spots, and both mother and child had a great time! My daughter seemed happy to gain some confidence as well. I highly recommend this tour! Next time, I want to go horseback riding by the seaside!

とっても満喫できるツアーでした。一年生の娘と２人旅行ということもあり、個人で遠出＆観光できるレンタカーではなくタクシー移動。お馬さんが大好きな娘は引き馬の経験は３歳から、でも乗馬という一人で90分も旗手になるなんて！日本では経験の出来ないツアー。その上、観光名所も押さえて下さり母子ともに満喫出来ました！娘も何か自信を持つことが出来たように嬉しそうでした。お勧めのツアーです！次回は海辺を乗馬したいです！

And we did see them! My daughter and I were both so excited!
Additionally, on the way back, we encountered a pod of dolphins!
Seeing the dolphins jumping was like a dream!

It felt a bit pricey, but I was satisfied.

運が良ければ、ウミガメが泳いでいるところに会えます！
とのこと。

なんと会えました！ｌこれには私も娘も大興奮！
それに加え、帰りのボートではイルカの群れに遭遇！
ジャンプしているイルカが見れるなんて！！
夢のようでした。

ちょっと、お高い気がしますが満足しました。

I chose to go to the Waimea Falls and Botanical Garden and on the Kayak ride...also got to lay around on Waimea Beach and jump off the rock! I had a total blast. The driver/guide was knowledgable and friendly and made sure we all had a great time. I would recommend this to anyone.

I was really excited to go to Hawaii, but I ended up feeling seasick due to lack of sleep and not feeling well. The waves were really strong, so it's definitely better to take anti-seasickness medication before going! The parasailing itself was a lot of fun, and the view from above was amazing! It does cost money, but we were able to buy the photos of ourselves up in the air, and it turned out to be a wonderful memory!

ハワイにいくからには！と意気込んでいったものの、
睡眠不足と体調不良で船酔いしてしまいました。
揺れも凄いので、絶対酔いとめ薬飲んでいったほうがいいです！！
パラセイリング自体はすごく楽しく、上からの眺めも最高でした！！
お金かかりますが、自分達が上空にいる写真のデータも買うことができるので、購入しましたが、とても良い思いでになりました！！！

Seeing live sharks underwater is truly impressive, even though you know you're safe in the cage.

A group of four American men who happened to be with us were having a blast inside the cage.

It's perfect for experiencing thrills.

However, the distance from Waikiki and the fact that the boat rocks quite a bit are drawbacks.

Live sharks are definitely worth seeing.

檻があるので、大丈夫とはわかっていても、水中で見る生のサメは迫力満点。

たまたま一緒になった4人組のアメリカ人男性は檻の中ではしゃぎまくってました。

スリルを味わうにはもってこい。

但し、ワイキキから距離が遠いことと、船が結構揺れることがネック。

生のサメは一見の価値あり。

We participated in a 90-minute canyon horseback riding tour (morning departure) as a family of three.

My wife and daughter (4th grade) who usually attend a riding club were captivated by the outdoor riding and scenery that they don't usually experience, and even as a first-timer, I felt safe participating. I think this horseback riding experience can be enjoyed by both seasoned riders and beginners.

One point to note is that there are some ups and downs along the way, and the vibrations can be quite noticeable, so those with back pain should be cautious (I was battling back pain partway through). Also, there are no drinks available at the ranch, so it's better to buy some in advance.

The absolute worst part was that the air conditioning on the tour bus was broken. We were crammed into the bus with a large group (our family was in the very back seat), and it was suffocating and extremely hot... I couldn't help but wonder why we had to endure such discomfort after paying for this. It's absolutely unacceptable for a bus in Hawaii to have no air conditioning.

I will never use this tour company again, but the canyon horseback riding was fantastic, so I would like to use a different tour company for horseback riding in the future.

渓谷乗馬90分（午前出発）に家族３人で参加しました。

乗馬クラブに通っている妻と娘（小４）も普段味わえない外乗や景色に魅了され楽しむことができ、初経験の私でも安心して参加することができ、乗馬に慣れた人でも初心者でも楽しめる乗馬だと思います。

注意点としては、途中アップダウンがあり振動が結構伝わるので、腰痛持ちの人は気をつけた方がいいと思います（私は途中から腰痛との闘いでした）。あと、ドリンクは牧場にはありませんので、事前に買っておいた方がいいです。

超最悪だったのは、ツアーバスのエアコンが壊れてたこと。
大人数でバスに詰められ（我が家は一番後ろの席だったのですが）息苦しく、暑くて暑くて…。。お金を払って何でこんな思いをしなければならないのだろう？？と。
ハワイのバスでエアコンが効かないなんて…絶対ありえないです。

ここのツアー会社は二度と利用しませんが、渓谷乗馬は最高でしたので別のツアー会社で乗馬は利用したいと思います。

Last year, I challenged myself to North Shore sightseeing and valley horseback riding with my grandchild again this year. Since it was my grandchild's strong wish, we couldn't miss the valley horseback riding when we went to Hawaii.

For sightseeing, we stopped by Moanalua Gardens (famous for "This is the tree, what kind of tree, a tree that piques your interest"), then visited Dole, Haleiwa, and saw turtles basking on the beach before the main event of valley horseback riding. I felt a pleasant fatigue in my body, and for lunch, we had garlic shrimp. It was a day filled with fulfilling activities.

My grandchild said that we absolutely can't miss this activity again next year. Riding alone on horseback, which is not something you can experience often, was enjoyable.

　昨年に続き、今年もノースショアー観光と渓谷乗馬に孫とともにチャレンジしました、孫のたっての願だったのでハワイに行ったら渓谷乗馬ははずせません。
　観光についてはモアナルアガーデン（この~木何の木、気になる木でおなじみ）立ち寄り、その後、ドール、ハレイワ、海岸で亀の甲羅干しを見て本番の渓谷乗馬、心地よい疲労感を体に感じ、昼食はガーリックシュリンプ、一日充実したアクティビティーが味わえました。
　孫も、来年もまたこのアクティビティーは絶対はずせないとのこと、なかなか味わえない一人で乗る乗馬は楽しかったです。

I participated with my 11-year-old daughter and my 68-year-old mother. We had a great time; it was different from the four-wheeler experience we had before.

I had heard that the staff's response was poor, but they were very nice (they didn't speak Japanese), incredibly polite, kind, and attentive to safety.

We were able to fully enjoy the great outdoors, and it was a lot of fun.

以前、何かでスタッフの対応が悪いと聞いたことが
ありましたが、とても良い方で（日本語は話せない）、

I was thrilled to have the rare experience of interacting with dolphins. However, I forgot to purchase the photos of my interaction while I was focused on the time! What a shame.

イルカと触れ合える貴重な体験に大興奮。しかし、時間を気にしているかと触れ合っている写真を購入するのを忘れてしまった！残念。

I accompanied my wife, and she played with dolphins. She had a great time.

私は同行で、妻がイルカと戯れました。非常に楽しんでました。

We enjoyed a submarine tour with our family of four, which was a first for my elderly mother and something we can't experience in Japan.

We took the earliest tour at 8:00 AM. There were only 14 participants on the 64-seat submarine.

According to our guide, when there are so few participants, everyone can sit on one side, allowing us to see areas that are usually not visible from one side. This made for a unique and enjoyable tour. It felt like a lucky coincidence.

We were able to see turtles, sharks, and many fish. Unlike an aquarium, I definitely recommend this for children.

The boat ride to and from the submarine was also not crowded, so we had time to leisurely browse souvenirs, which led to some great memories as I ended up buying quite a few things.

On the return boat, we even had the chance to take commemorative photos with the captain.

高齢の母親が初ハワイということもあり、
日本では経験できない潜水艦ツアーを家族４名で楽しみました。

時間は、朝いちばんの８：００の回です。
６４名乗りの潜水艦に、参加者がわずか１４名でした。

ガイドさんの話では、
このように参加者の人数が少ないときには、
全員を片側に座ってもらい、
通常は左右どちらか片方した見れないところを
潜水艦に回ってもらい２度見れるというおいしいいツアーになりますと言ってました。
偶然とは言え、得した感じで良かったです。

亀やサメ、多くのさかなを見ることもできました。
水族館とも違い、子どもさんには、絶対にお薦めだと思います。

潜水艦までの往復の船も空いていて、
ゆっくりお土産を見ることも出来たので、
ついついいろいろ買ってしまったのも、いまはいい思い出です。


戻りの船上では、キャプテンとの記念撮影もできました。

This was my first time parasailing, i was terrified. The crew memebers were friendly, and patient with us(i wasnt listening very well because i was scared). They set us up, explained, and helped out with everything. i switched my ride from 400ft to 800ft before i went on, and they set us up, and even pulled us down when i yelled for them to.
It was a good experience, even though i was terrified. Also, they took tons of pictures while people were up there, and i really liked the fact you got your SD card.

The pineapple soft serve from Dole Plantation, garlic shrimp from Haleiwa, and shave ice were all delicious, just as the guide recommended. The guide was very efficient, and they took photos for each group, making the entire tour very satisfying.

ドールプランテーションのパイナップルソフト、ハレイワのガーリックシュリンプとシェーブアイス。
どれもガイドさんがお奨めの通りいただいたが、とっても美味しかった。
ガイドさんの手際が良かったのと、ちゃんとグループ毎に写真も撮ってくれたりと、ツアー全体が大満足でした。

I went to the "Waikiki Starlight Luau" at Hilton Hawaiian Village. First, when I arrived at the meeting time, I took a commemorative photo with one of the dancers (which will later be sold at the table for $25 each). There were quite a few people, and then we all headed to the venue.

We took the elevator up to the venue, which is set up on the rooftop of the parking lot. It was past 5:30 PM, but it was really bright. Sunglasses are a must. As soon as we arrived, drinks were served, and for a while, they drew temporary tattoos on our hands with a pen, but I was a bit confused since I didn't understand English very well.

After that, people in the higher seats could go get their food. Those in the regular seats had to wait in line quite a bit to get their dishes. The show was a bit lacking in excitement if you don't understand English. My 5-year-old daughter got bored, but my 8-year-old daughter enjoyed it quite a bit.

Drinks are limited to two per person, but you can order more. There are also kids' meals available, but my children were fine with the adult portions. The foreign ladies were really excited about the male dancers!

In any case, I think it's a good idea to bring sunglasses and enjoy the atmosphere.

ヒルトンハワイアンビレッジの「ワイキキスターライトルアウ」へ行ってきました。
まずは、当日、集合時間にいくと、ダンサー？！の方と記念写真をパチリ（これは後で、テーブルに１枚２５＄で販売にきます）。結構な人数で、そのあとゾロゾロと会場へ。
会場へは、エレベータを使ってのぼっていきます。
駐車場の屋上！？に、設置。
時間は１７：３０過ぎですが、まぶしいです。サングラスは必須。つくと、すぐにドリンクがでて、そのあとはしばらく、手にペンでタトゥーみたいに書いてくれたり、とあるのですが、いかんせん、英語がよくわからないと一瞬！？となりました。
そのあと、高い席のヒトから食事をとりにいけます。普通の席の方々は、結構、料理をとるのに並ばないといけない感じです。ショーは、英語がわからないとやはり、、ノリは今一つ。5歳の次女はあきていましたが、8歳の長女は結構楽しんでいました。
ドリンクは２つまでセットされていますが、追加は可能です。あと、キッズ用の食事もありますが、うちの子供たちは大人用でOKでした。
外人のおばさまがたは、男性のダンサーの方々に大盛り上がり！
いずれにしても、サングラスをもっていって、雰囲気含め楽しんでかと思います。

それは素晴らしかったです。

We participated in the Dolphin Encounter with our son, and my husband and I acted as photographers. The encounter had a Japanese-speaking guide, and it seemed like everyone was having fun touching the dolphins, getting kisses, and high-fiving them. However, since there were many participants in each session and everyone wanted to get kisses and high-fives, the waiting time felt long.

I thought it would be nice if they could reduce the number of participants or bring out another dolphin to improve the experience.

In the same pool, they were also doing the Royal Swim, which involved holding onto the dorsal fins of two dolphins and swimming about 10 meters, as well as being pushed along by their feet for another 10 meters. Again, since everyone was doing these two activities, the waiting time felt long.

Since I had visited before, I skipped the dolphin show as it seemed the same. Instead, we had lunch while it was still quiet. On our last day in Hawaii, we ended with a classic American hamburger. Well, the taste was decent.

ドルフィンエンカウンターに息子を参加させ夫婦でカメラマンをしました。
エンカウンターは日本後の説明員がつき、イルカにさわれたり、キスされたり、ハイタッチをしたりと楽しそうでした。ただ、1回の参加人数が多く、全員がキスやハイタッチをするので、待っている間が長かった気がします。
人数を減らすかイルカをもう一頭出すなどの工夫があればなとおもいました。

同じプールではロイヤルスイムをやっていましたが、これも2頭の背びれをつかんで10mくらい泳ぐのと、足の裏を押してもらってこちらも10m位進むのの2つを皆でやるので待ち時間が長いな～と思いました。

一度以前に訪れていたので、イルカショーは同じようだったのでパス。その代わり空いているうちにお昼を食べました。ハワイ最後の日だったので、アメリカらしくハンバーガーでしめました。ま、味はそこそこかな？

It wasn't like running through a grassland; it felt more like going through a Western-style wilderness.

It was refreshing to add this to the activities that were mostly by the sea. The horses were calm and cute. They followed the horse in front of them in a line, so it was easy even if you didn't have to control them. It might be a bit unsatisfying for those who want to run fast.

There is no shuttle service, so you have to get there on your own. The landmarks are not very big, so it's necessary to inform the bus driver that you want to get off. Also, for the return trip, it's wise to check the bus schedule since there is only one bus per hour and wait at the ranch.

草原を走るようなイメージではなく、ウエスタンのような荒野を行く感じでした。

海ばかりのアクティビティにプラスするには、新鮮でよかったです。馬もおとなしくてかわいかったです。自分で操作しなくても一列になって前の馬について行ってくれるので、楽でした。早く走りたいかたには物足りないかもしれません。
送迎なしなので、現地まで自分たちで行かなければなりません。目印がそこまで大きくないので、バスの運転手さんに降りる旨を伝えておく必要があります。また、帰りは一時間に一本のバスに乗るため時間を調べておいて、牧場で待つほうが賢明です。

We participated in a 1.5-hour tour with three family members. First, the location of the ranch was hard to find (it turned out that if you drive from Honolulu, you can only see the entrance sign from the opposite direction), and I think we were able to navigate the narrow mountain road during the daytime. We showed our voucher at a small hut marked "office" to check in. After receiving instructions on how to ride the horse (which can mostly be understood through gestures), we were off.

Since it all depends on the horse's mood, if you fall behind the line, you might be urged to hurry along. Sometimes, the horses can suddenly start running as if they are being charged. This adds a thrill, but it can also be a bit scary. Overall, it was a fun experience, but the bumpy paths with ups and downs might feel a bit hard for beginners.

家族３人で1.5時間のツアーに参加しました。
まず、牧場の位置がわかりづらく（ホノルルから車で行くと入り口の看板が逆方向からしかわからないと判明しました）且つ山道のような一本道を信じて進んでいくのは昼間なのでできたかと思います。
officeと書かれた小屋で受付のバウチャーを見せて完了。馬の乗り方の説明を受けて（ほとんどゼスチャーでわかります。）いざ出発です。
何せ馬のご機嫌次第ですので列から離れて遅れると急げとばかりに走らされます。馬的にはチャージさせられていきなり走ることもあります。ここでスリルがありますが怖いといえば怖いかもです。
全体には楽しく過ごせますが、でこぼこ道が大半でアップダウンですので初心者には少しハードかなと感じました。

I decided on this option after seeing the photo of two people side by side. There were a total of seven participants: two elementary school students and five adults, along with another group of four Japanese families on board. At first, the two elementary school students and one adult flew together. I was impressed that three people could sit side by side, and the view from above was refreshing. I thought the remaining two adults would fly in pairs for two more turns, but unexpectedly, four of us flew together: three adults and one more person behind. The person in the back hardly had their face captured in the photo that was taken, and the view was said to be poor. Even though the wind conditions were the same, the next family that flew consisted of one average-sized adult and one child, and they flew in two separate turns. I felt quite disappointed.

横並びの2人乗りの写真をみてこちらに決めました。小学生二人と大人５人、計７人の参加、他には日本人の親子連れ４人の乗船でした。最初は小学生２人と大人１人で飛びました。3人横並びもできるんだ、と感心しながら上からの眺めは爽快、そして次は残る大人２人ずつ２回だろう思っていたら、なんと大人3人とその後ろにもう１人の4人で。後ろの1人はせっかくとってっもらった写真にもほとんど顔は写っていないし、眺めも悪かったそうです。風の様子は同じだったのに、次にとんだもう一組の家族連れは普通体型の大人１人と子供１人ずつで２回にわけて飛んでました。かなり残念に思いました。

It was interesting. The water hardly swayed, and I was able to enjoy watching the fish leisurely. It seems the children had fun too.

面白かったです。水中はほとんど揺れず、ゆったりと、魚の鑑賞を堪能できました。子供も楽しかったようです。

I got a call ahead of time to confirm my reservations, which was reassuring. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The parasailing experience was great. My wife and son were a bit apprehensive at first, but all went well. The two people running the boat operation were experienced and kept everything running smoothly.

First, when I arrived at the venue, I was given a welcome flower lei to wear around my neck. After that, I enjoyed a Mai Tai while taking food from the buffet as I watched the show. The drinks included one free Mai Tai and another drink, and after that, you order with a prepaid system. The show featured classic performances like singing, Polynesian dance, and fire dance. The roast beef was delicious. Considering the price, it felt reasonable, though perhaps a bit on the expensive side.

まず、会場に着くと、ウェルカムフラワーレイを首にかけてもらいました。その後、マイタイを飲み、ショーを見ながらビュッフェ形式で好きなものをとって食べる、という感じです。ドリンクは、マイタイとその他のドリンク１杯分が無料で、あとは、前金制で頼むという感じ。ショーは歌やポリネシアンダンス、ファイヤーダンスなど、定番のものです。ご飯は、ローストビーフが美味しかったです。値段を考えると、まぁ妥当というか、少々高い？という感じでした。

The driver's military-themed chatter eventually became a lullaby. The driver was kind, and the staff for the canyon horseback riding were also friendly and cheerful. Both the sightseeing and horseback riding were satisfying experiences. However, the bus we traveled in was a clunker; the air conditioning was broken, and the speaker broke down midway, making me anxious that it might stop altogether. Since the windows wouldn't open, I was really at a loss with the broken air conditioning. Please fix it soon!

運転手のおじさんの軍ネタマシンガントークがそのうち子守唄になってきます。おじさんは親切だし、渓谷乗馬のお兄さん、お姉さんも親切で明るく、観光も乗馬も満足のいくものでしたが、移動のバスがポンコツで、エアコン壊れてるわ、途中でスピーカも壊れるわ、そのうち止まるのではとヒヤヒヤしました。窓が空かないので、エアコンが壊れてるのには正直参りました。早く直してくださいね。

If you get tired of the beach, I thought activities like this would be nice. However, since all conversations are in English, I think those who understand English will enjoy it more.

It was my first time participating with my daughter in 20 years. We chose to join during the Japanese explanation time, so I don't understand English. It seems my daughter was satisfied as well. The sea turtles and fish that can be seen in the beautiful ocean are a must-see!

I was worried until the day before, thinking it might be scary, and the pick-up car took a while to arrive, but the staff were cheerful and seemed to be having fun, which put me at ease. I felt nervous when taking off into the sky, but the view from above was exceptional, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I wish I had applied sunscreen more thoroughly.

前日まで、恐くないか心配でしたし、迎えの車がなかなか来なかったのですが、スタッフの方が明るく、楽しそうにしているので安心しました。
空に飛び上がる時は緊張しましたが、空からの景色は格別で、またとない体験になりました。
日焼け止めはもっとしっかり塗っておけば良かったです。
