I participated in the morning activities. I only used Star of Honolulu for the dinner cruise, but I wish there was an afternoon whale watching + sunset dinner cruise.

Considering the cost, it was affordable and I got to see whales, so that's okay?

Last March, I had a lot of fun with a large pod of dolphins, whales, and snorkeling.

Please come up with various plans.

午前中のものに参加しました。スターオブホノルルはディナークルーズでしか、利用しなかったのですが、午後ホエールウオッチ＋サンセットクルーズディナーが、あればいいのにと思いました。

コスト的にはお安く鯨がみえたので、まあいいか？

昨年、３月は、イルカの大群と鯨とシュノーケルで随分楽しみました。

色々な企画を考えてください。

On the day of our visit, we were informed that some attractions were temporarily closed due to a pipe malfunction, but we decided to go anyway since we were already there.

When we arrived, there were only a few people, likely due to the malfunction, and we were the only Japanese visitors.

Despite that, there were many different types of attractions, all of which made us want to slide down repeatedly. Some of the staff members spoke Japanese, but the primary language was English. However, this was not a problem at all.

In the afternoon, the attractions were back up and running, and the number of visitors increased, but we never had to wait too long throughout the day.

There were many attractions that you can't find in Japan, and we were able to enjoy a different kind of experience than at the beach, so I highly recommend it!

当日はバスの迎えの時点で、前日にパイプ？の故障により一部アトラクションが停止中とのことでしたが、せっかくだから...と思い行ってきました。

着いてみると、故障のせいもあってか人数はパラパラと人がいるくらいで日本人は私たちだけでした。

それでも、アトラクションはたくさん種類があり、何度もすべりたくなるようなものばかりでした。係りの方々の中には日本語を話せる方もいるようでしたが、基本は英語でしたね。でも、全く問題はなかったです。

午後になると、アトラクションこ復旧し人数も増えてきましたが、かなり待たされるということは一日を通してなかったです。

日本にはないアトラクションがたくさんありましたし、ビーチとは違う楽しみ方ができたのでおすすめです！

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu. This trip is a must for those who have never been to the island before. You get the taste of the island in this one trip and then you can go off on your own and know where you are and what you will see. Great time

We really enjoyed our day. The staff was great and we saw at least 2 pods of wales. Not sure if they are called pods but we saw them. The breakfast was good but the eggs were a bit grainey. It was worth the price we paid.

As soon as we set sail, a whale jumped for us. It was a bit far away, though.

I recommend heading to the deck as soon as you set sail.

I attended on December 31, 2012.

I waited in line for over 30 minutes to get in...
At the very back, on the edge, it got quite cold when the sun went down, even with a jacket, and it rained, so I got pretty wet... The food was also not great...

At this price, I think it would be better to go to a regular restaurant.

There were also tables where we had to wait a long time, which was unfortunate.

The venue was just an outdoor area separated by ropes, and you could see it just by passing by...

It felt a bit overpriced.

I saw a similar show in Guam, and that one was of higher quality.

入るまでに30分以上並び…
一番後ろの一番端で、日が暮れると上着があってもかなり寒く、雨が降って結構濡れて…お食事もイマイチな感じです…。


このお値段なら、どこか普通のレストランの方がいいかなぁ。

バイキングも、ずっと待たされているテーブルもあって、
かわいそうでした。

会場はロープで仕切られているだけの屋外で、普通に通りすがれば見れるし…。

ちょっと割高かな。

グアムでも同じようなショーを見ましたが、
そちらの方がハイクオリティでした。

I had been wanting to go to the Heaven's Sea with Captain Bruce, so I signed up this time. I checked the low tide times and decided whether to go in the morning or afternoon.
It was fun swimming with the turtles and snorkeling. The water was a bit cold.

We also enjoyed a BBQ with the family.

It's definitely worth going once.

天国の海は是非キャプテンブルースでと思ってましたので今回申し込みました。いちおう引き潮の時間を調べてから午前・午後にするか決めました。
亀と一緒におよいだり、シュノーケルをしたり楽しかったです。
ちょっと水は冷たかったです。

BBQも楽しく家族で食べました。

一回行く価値はあります

Despite the terrible weather, it was ultimately a fairly enjoyable tour.

First of all, the BBQ meal was surprisingly delicious. The boat was quite comfortable. When we went to the area with sea turtles, there were a decent number of them. However, later during the snorkeling time, only large sea turtles came close, specifically for this tour. You can buy an underwater camera on the boat, but if you want to save money, it's better to buy one in advance. You can also take a two-shot with the turtles.

This tour is not suitable for those hoping for serious snorkeling. The instruction is at a beginner level, and the snorkeling time is only about five minutes.

お天気最悪の中でも最終的にはまずまず楽しめたツアーでした。

まずBBQのお食事が想像以上に美味しかったです。
船はなかなか快適に出来ていました。
ウミガメのエリアに行くと、そこそこウミガメがいました。
が、その後、シュノーケル位の時間になると、大きなウミガメがこのツアーに限って寄ってきます。
水中カメラは船でも買えますが、安く済ませたい人は事前に買っていくと良いです。
カメと並んでツーショットも可能です。

本格的なシュノーケルを希望の方には向かないツアーです。
シュノーケルの１，２，３からの講習になり、シュノーケルの時間は５分程度しかありません。

I saw a humpback whale for the first time. It was a moment of deep emotion, and I thought I might not get to see it, but after witnessing the spout, I saw its tail and then saw it two more times, for a total of four sightings. The 90% encounter rate is no lie.

ザトウクジラをはじめて見た。
感動の一瞬であり、みれないかもとおもったが、潮吹きをみたあと、おびれがみれその後２回、計４回みれた、遭遇率９０％はうそじゃない。

This time in Hawaii, we stayed at the Hilton and requested to see a show at our accommodation. All the seats facing the stage were premium seats, but since the stage was elevated, it was easy for our family, who had regular seats, to see well.

However, the seating was at a table for ten, so it was a bit cramped with our neighbors, so it's better to enter early. Since we checked in after 5 PM, we were able to choose our preferred table and ended up sitting at the closest regular seat to the stage, which was comfortable.

The show featured hula and fire dancing, which we enjoyed. Although I felt it lacked a bit of intensity at times.

What was disappointing was that our table staff tried to clear plates and glasses right away, which interrupted our viewing. They took away glasses that still had drinks in them and even asked if they could take away plates with food still on them... We were just pausing our eating to watch the show. I wished they would have let us focus on the performance.

今回のハワイはヒルトンでの滞在だったので、宿泊先でショーが見たいと申し込みました。ステージに面している席はすべてプレミアシートでしたが、ステージは高くなっていたので、通常席の私たち家族でも見えやすかったです。

ただ、席は10人掛けテーブルで相席（そして隣との距離はかなり狭い）になるので、早く入場した方がいいです。私たちは17時過ぎに受付をしたため、好きなテーブルが選べた上に通常席の中ではステージに一番近い席に座れたので快適でした。

ショーはフラとファイアーダンスで楽しめました。若干迫力に欠ける気もしないではなかったですが。

残念だったのは、私たちのテーブル係だったスタッフが、お皿やグラスをすぐに片付けようとして、鑑賞の邪魔になったことです。まだ残っているグラスを下げられましたし、お皿に食べ物が乗っているのに「もう下げてもいいか」と聞かれたり・・・ショーを見ているから、食べるのを中断していただけなんですけど。。鑑賞に集中させてほしかったです。

The cruising experience was enjoyable. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales. Since they didn't search for whales very much, it's better not to have high expectations.

クルージングは普通に楽しめました。
残念ながらクジラは見れませんでした。
クジラを見るのは、あまり探してくれなかったので、期待しすぎないほうがよい。

We participated in a breakfast course with three family members. We saw the tail just once, but our child is only five years old, so we didn't have time to lift them up and see it properly. The breakfast was delicious. Since we ate in the dining room on the first floor, it didn't have the excitement of a 3-star or 5-star cruise. If a whale had appeared, it would have been more lively, but without that, we were just staring at the waves, which became boring. I think snorkeling would be better for families with children.

家族３人で朝食つきコースに参加しました。
一回だけ尻尾がでたのですが、子供はまだ５歳。
もちあげる時間もなく、見ることはできませんでした。
朝食はおいしかったです。
一階の食堂で食べるので、３スターや、５スターのクルーズの楽しさはありません。
くじらが出れば、まわりも盛り上がるのでしょうが、出ないとただ波間を眺めているだけなので、退屈してしまいました。
子供連れの方は、スノーケリングのがいいと思います。

Thanks to the friendly staff, I was able to have a great time even though I participated alone.

I was truly happy to play with my favorite dolphins, but it seemed like there were fewer dolphins than usual??? Well, I guess that's just how it is with wild animals...

I was also moved to encounter other rare characters besides the dolphins!! Especially being able to see a humpback whale's tail up close and witnessing the relaxed姿 of the honu (sea turtle) underwater made for an amazing escape from reality, and I am very grateful for the wonderful memories I have kept in my heart♪

When I go to Hawaii again, I look forward to your support! _(._.)_

昨年末はお世話になりました。

気さくなスタッフのおかげで一人参加にもかかわらず
楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

大好きなイルカと戯れることができて本当に幸せでしたけど
例年よりもイルカの数が少なかったような？？？
まぁ、野生だから仕方ないですけど･･･

イルカ以外の貴重なキャラクターにも出逢えて感動でした!!
特にザトウクジラのテールを真近で見れたり、
ホヌのまったりした姿を海中で見れたりして最高な現実逃避に
とても素敵な思い出を胸に秘められて感謝です♪

またハワイへ行った際には、どうぞよろしくお願いします_(. .)_

I participated in the morning tour. I only caught a glimpse of a whale from a very far distance just once. I was looking for spouts and saw something black come up to the surface, but honestly, I couldn't tell if it was a whale or not. After the tour, there was a recheck desk, but I didn't have time, so I got off without receiving a reboarding ticket.
How many whales can you actually see on this tour? Can you see them up close like it says on the website or in guidebooks? From the experiences I've read, it seems like about half of the people see whales and half do not, but if those who saw them only caught a distant glimpse like I did, I don't think it's worth participating. I was able to see whales from a distance later at Kamaole Beach in Maui.
However, since it's quite a nice boat, if you think of it as a cruise, you won't feel too disappointed.

午前中のツアーに参加しました。一度だけすごく遠くから鯨がチラッと見れただけです。水吹きを探して、何か黒いものが水面に上がったのを見ましたが、正直鯨かどうかもわかりませんでした。ツアー終了後Recheckの受付はありましたが、時間がないので、再乗船券をもらわずに降りました。
そもそもこのツアーはどのぐらい鯨が見られるんでしょうか？ホームページやガイドブックに載っているような、すごい近くで見ることができるんでしょうか？体験談を見ると、見れない人と「見た」人半々ぐらいですが、もし「見た」人も私のように遠くから見ただけなら、あまり参加しなくてもいいと思います。その後マウイのカマオレビーチで普通に遠くから鯨が見れましたから。
ただし、結構立派な船なので、クルーズだと思ってしまえば、そんなに損した気分にはならないです。

It's not easy to reach a spot where you can see green sea turtles on your own, so I decided to join the tour for certainty. The tide wasn't great, and the sandbar didn't fully appear, but I was able to see fish and sea turtles perfectly while snorkeling, and I had a great time. The meal was definitely satisfying as well!

なかなか自分でアオウミガメが見られるスポットまでは行けないし、確実性を取って参加しました。潮の引きはイマイチでしっかりサンドバーは出ません出したが、シュノーケルで魚やウミガメもバッチリ見られて十分楽しめました。食事も満足すること間違いなしです！

The entire experience was beyond our expectations.
The staff were very friendly.
The food superb.
The show extremely entertaining.
The performers were first class and very realistic.
Overall our experience was well beyond what we expected in every way.
Highly recommend it to all age groups.
Can't wait to go back next year.

It was cold due to the rainy season. I would like to visit again during a warmer time.

雨季ということもあり、雨で寒かった。
暖かい時期にもう一度行ってみたいと思いました。

Great, very enjoyable!!!

What was great was that there were no other Japanese people besides us. When you often book optional marine sports tours, they tend to be filled with Japanese participants, but in this case, there were no other Japanese except for us. Consequently, the language spoken by the instructor was English, which might be tough for those who don't speak it. Additionally, only the minimum safety instructions for snorkeling were provided, so beginners might feel anxious. That said, when I did snorkeling for the first time, I just jumped in and copied what I saw, so it might be okay even for complete beginners.

On the day of the tour, I made a mistake with the meeting time and was late, but as soon as I realized my mistake and called, they laughed and said they would wait for me. That was a relief...

The snorkeling spot was amazing; there were so many turtles, and I encountered a lot of turtles and fish! After snorkeling, we had a cruise from off Waikiki to around Diamond Head, which was also great! I would love to join this tour again.

良かったのは、なによりも日本人が私たち以外いなかったこと。
良くマリンスポーツのオプショナルツアーを申し込むと、日本人だらけのツアーになりがちなのですが、これは日本人は私たち以外いませんでした。
必然的にインストラクターの喋る言語は英語なので、英語が出来ない人には辛いかもしれません。
また、シュノーケルに関する最低限の注意事項のみしかレクチャーされないため、シュノーケルが初めての人は不安に感じるかもしれません。
といっても私も初めてシュノーケルをやった時は見よう見真似でいきなりやったので、全くの初心者でも大丈夫なのかもしれませんが。

当日、集合時間を間違え遅刻をしたのですが、その間違いに気が付いた瞬間、電話をしたら、笑って待っててもらえました。良かった・・・。

シュノーケルをしたポイントは、本当に亀がいっぱいいたので、沢山の亀と魚に出会えましたよ！
シュノーケル後は、ワイキキ沖からダイヤモンドヘッドあたりまでのクルーズがついていたので、それも良かったです！
またこのツアーに参加したいです。

This was my tenth trip to Hawaii, and it was my first time participating in this tour. With the theme of memories over material things, I joined this tour to swim with dolphins. I was thrilled to meet wild dolphins. And above all, the tour staff were excellent at creating a lively atmosphere. Their hospitality truly shone through, making it an unforgettable experience.

ハワイは今回で１０回目にして、初めての参加となりました。モノより思い出のテーマで、今回イルカと泳ごうとこのツアーに参加しました。自然のイルカに会うことができ大興奮でした。そしてなんといってもツアーのスタッフの盛り上げ上手なこと。スタッフのおもてなしの気持ちがぐんぐん伝わって最高の思い出になりました。

This is my second time, following last year. It was a bit cold last year, so I was hoping this year would be better... but it was even colder. I chose a different tour this year, and the staff's response was good. Last year, my mother suddenly decided not to go at the last minute, so this year I let her participate without saying anything. On January 3rd, it was winter in Hawaii as well, but everyone was swimming while saying it was cold. We got to see sea turtles and manta rays, and we enjoyed beach volleyball at a beautiful sandbar. The tour company from last year took photos of each group and posted them online, but this time we only took photos ourselves, so I wished they had taken pictures of each group.

昨年に続き２度目です。昨年はちょっと寒かったので今年こそは・・・もっと寒かった・・・。昨年と違うツアーにしましたが、スタッフの対応も良く、去年母が突然間際になって行かないと言いだしたので今年は黙って参加させました。１月３日はハワイも冬でしたが、寒い寒いと言いながら皆さん泳いでいました。ウミガメとマンタも見れて、きれいなサンドバーではビーチバレーを楽しんでいました。昨年のツアー会社は１組ずつ写真を撮ってくれてＷＥＢ上に載せてくれましたが、こちらは写真を各自で撮るだけでしたので、１組ずつ撮ってくれたらと思いました。

We upgraded to the full day, rather than sticking to the late entry. We wanted to have more time to check out the presentations etc. The presentations were interesting and well done. They came over as authentic rather than cheesy or Disneyesque. The staff were excellent all 'round. There were showers passing through, but it didn't take away from our day, as there were plenty of buildings/huts to head into, and showers don't seem to last too long in this part of the world. The entertainment and food at the Luau was good. It did take a long time to get to the lining up and eating part, but there were a lot of people. It would have been better if they started processing the tables through the buffet right after the unveiling of the pig, and we could just watch the entertainment as we went, instead of largely sitting for nearly an hour before anyone started lining up. The HA show was amazing, and I would recommend it too anyone going to Oahu. Overall an opportunity to learn about

ハワイ旅行の～１の思い出です(* >ω<)

We participated in a tour on the morning of December 19, just as the season started, as a couple. Although we only got to see a dolphin briefly, it was not a disappointing experience, and we were satisfied with the cruise, which had a different charm from the sunset dinner. If I had to point out a downside, it would be that the background of the photo taken during boarding included an old warehouse and a cargo ship. (However, since it was a keepsake, I ended up purchasing it...) The food was cheap. Since we were returning home the next day, the reboarding ticket seems like it will go to waste, but I was satisfied as it provided a good conversation starter.

今シーズンがスタートしたばかりの12/19の午前中のツアーに夫婦で参加しました。
イルカをちょっと見られただけで、残念な結果ではありましたが、サンセットディナーとは趣の違うクルーズで満足でした。
敢えて苦言を呈するなら、乗船時の写真撮影で、背景に古ぼけた倉庫と貨物船が写っていたこと。（でも、記念なので購入しましたが・・・）。食事がチープ。
翌日帰国だったので、再乗船のチケットは無駄になりそうですが、話のタネとして満足でした。

My parents wanted to see it, so I made a reservation for the first time. The show itself was really great! Especially the impersonator of Michael Jackson was the best, and I want to see it again. I added a buffet dinner, but eating in a tent while it was raining and being close to the people next to us wasn't very pleasant. I think it might have been better to go for a proper course meal tour or a cocktail show. I definitely want to see it again!

両親が見てみたいと言うので、初めて予約しました。
ショー自体はとてもよかった&#9825;
特にマイケルジャクソンのものまねの方は最高で、また見に行きたいと思います。
ビュッフェの夕食をつけたのですが、雨の降る中でのテントでの食事で、隣の人とも密着していたので、あまりよくなかったです。
ちゃんとしたコース料理のツアーにするか、カクテルショーでよかったかな？と思います。
また見に行きたいです！

The weather was a bit bad and cold, but the captain and the staff were so warm-hearted that I forgot about the cold and was able to enjoy myself. Additionally, one of the female staff members had her child with her, and they worked hard to take care of the guests, adding an extra layer of fun to the experience. I definitely want to enjoy my next visit with the wonderful staff again.

天候が少々悪く寒かったですが船長はじめ、スタッフの方々の対応が心温かくて、寒さを忘れてエンジョイ出来ました。また、女性スタッフの方のお子さんが添乗しいて、お客さんのお世話を一生懸命して大変楽しい時間にプラスαを加えてくれました。次回もまた是非素晴しいスタッフの方々のもとでエンジョイしたいと思います。

The last time I participated, I got completely soaked and it was fun, so this time I prepared a bath towel with the expectation of getting wet again. However, there were no waves, and it was just a regular yacht sailing. I guess it's just the nature of the activity. I think I will try it again next time without being discouraged. It's a short experience and the price is reasonable, so I think it's great for those who don't have much time.

以前参加した時はびしょぬれになって面白かったので、今回も濡れる事を前提にバスタオルを用意して乗船したのですが
波がなく普通のヨットセーリングでした。
自然相手なのでしょうがないかなと思います。
次回もこれに懲りず又乗ってみようとは思います。
短時間で参加できるし値段も安いので時間のない方にはいいと思います。

We booked the early bird whale watching tour in early January. The ship, crew and food were great but we didn't see as many whales as I had hoped. We did find two whales swimming together and the ship was able to follow them for awhile so we got a few good pictures of the whales blowing water up, their backs surfacing and their tails coming out of the water.


It sounds like that was considered a good trip for Honolulu whale watching so I was happy with it. A lady we talked to had gone out on the same tour the day before and she didn't see anything so she came back out with our group the next day.


If you're looking to really see the whales, I would suggest going to Lahaina in Maui if possible. My husband and I booked an island tour of Maui later on in our vacation and we saw more whales in a shorter time period by driving down the coast near Lahaina than we did on our whale watching tour in Honolulu. It's still a good tour for those in Oahu though!

I had never visited Hawaii during the winter season, so I was looking forward to whale watching. The boat was large and more than adequate, but since it carried many passengers, I wished they had made some efforts to gather information about the whales in advance with smaller boats, so that the guests could enjoy the experience more. Because the boat was so big, it couldn't maneuver easily, and while the captain was likely focused on finding the whales, I felt there could have been a bit more creativity in their approach. Additionally, they offered tickets for another trip if we didn't see any whales, but since the validity period was only until March, it limits those who can return to Hawaii soon. I think at least a one-year validity would be more reasonable. I was also told that the only time available for a second trip was the same morning time, but if they truly wanted to provide good service, they should accommodate afternoon times as well. Everyone has their schedules set while in Hawaii, so I believe that kind of flexibility is necessary.

冬の時期にハワイを訪れたことがなかったので、ホエールウォッチングは楽しみにしていました。船は大きく申し分ありませんでしたが、乗船客もたくさん乗せているので、鯨がいくら自然の生き物であっても、先に小さめの船で鯨の情報を集めておくとか、少しでもお客さんが楽しめるように工夫をしてほしかったです。船が大きいために、小回りが利かないし、船長も鯨を求めて操縦しているのでしょうけれども、もう少し工夫ができるのではないかと感じてしまいました。さらに、鯨に会えなかったら、再度乗船できるチケットを配っていましたが、乗船できる期間も3月まででは、もう一度ハワイにすぐ来れる人は限られてしまうので、せめて有効期限は1年間にしてほしいと思います。乗船できる時間も朝の同じ時間しか無理だと言われましたが、本当に再度乗船してほしいというサービス精神があるのならば、午後の時間でも対応してほしいです。みんな、それなりにハワイでのスケジュールが決まっていると思うので、そのくらいの対応は必要だと思います。

On the first day of this tour, we didn't see any whales at all. We were in the afternoon group, but it seems the morning group had the same experience. We just ended up enjoying a leisurely cruise.

このツアーが始まった初日だったせいか、クジラの姿は、全く見られませんでした。私たちは、昼からだったのですが、午前の部も同様だったそうです。ゆったりクルージングを楽しんだだけで終わりました。
