I checked the tide levels at the sandbar online in advance and chose this day, so it was disappointing that the temperature was lower than expected and there was a strong wind. However, I still had a wonderful day.

Out of 70 participants, 40 were Japanese (including 10 newlyweds!), and we split into two boats, one with a Japanese guide and the other with an English guide. Since it was a boat with only Japanese people, it felt quite relaxed.

When we arrived at the sandbar and entered the water from the stairs, I was submerged up to my waist. Wow, it was cold! After moving a few meters forward, it quickly became shallow, with the shallowest parts being about ankle-deep. The shallow areas felt somewhat warmer. Here, beginners practiced snorkeling and some enjoyed beach volleyball (it looked tough due to the strong wind).

During this time, the staff actively came to the participants to take photos while guiding us on poses, so we ended up with many memorable pictures. The meal consisted of hamburgers and boiled beans, which were quite delicious.

After eating, we took a tour around an area with many sea turtles (there were a few, but it was difficult to capture the right moment for photos) and moved to a snorkeling point at the coral reef. Due to the cold weather and strong wind, the perceived temperature was quite low, and many people opted out of snorkeling. However, I decided to give it a try since I had bought a waterproof camera that can be used at depths of 15 meters for this day.

I brought a rash guard and reef boots, but the reef boots were unnecessary, and going barefoot was fine. I didn't buy a hoodie, but I think it would have been a good idea.

事前にサンドバーの潮位をネットで調べてこの日にしたので、気温が思っていたより低くて強い風も吹いていたのは残念でしたが、それでも楽しい一日を満喫できました。
参加者70人中日本人が40人（その中に新婚さん10組！）という構成で、日本語ガイド船と英語ガイド船の２隻に分かれて出航しました。

数メートル前進すると、すぐ浅くなって・・一番浅いところはくるぶし程度です。浅いところは、多少暖かく感じます。ここで、シュノーケル初心者は練習をしたり、ビーチバレーに興じたり（風が強いので、大変そうでした）。
この間、スタッフの方が積極的に参加者の所に来て（ポーズを指導して）撮影してくれるので、思い出深い記念の写真が沢山出来ました。
食事は、ハンバーガーと煮豆？なかなか美味しかったです。
食後は、ウミガメが多いエリアをぐるっと回って（数匹いましたが、撮影タイミングは難しいです）、シュノーケリングを行う珊瑚礁のポイントに移動です。
この日は、寒くて風も強かったために体感温度はかなり低く、シュノーケリングをパスする人もかなりありましたが、折角なので私は頑張る事にしました。そう！この日のために、水深15mまで使えるデジカメを購入して来たのですから・・。
ライフジャケットとマスク類の装備を身につけて海に入ったものの、水の冷たさにしばらく圧倒されていましたが、その内慣れてきました。船上から餌をまいてくれたので、魚がすごく集まって来ます。
初めてのシュノーケリングでしたが、思ったより上手く出来てちょっと嬉しくなってしまいました。
終わって、船上に上がると風が吹き抜けて一気に体温が下がりました「うお～！寒い」海の中の方がよほど暖かかったように思えます・・ガイドさんに言われて、濡れている物を脱いで乾いた服に着替えたら、だいぶ楽になりました。
私はラッシュガードやリーフブーツを用意して行きましたが、リーフブーツは不要で裸足でOKでした。
パーカーは買わなかったのですが、あった方が良いと思いました。

I decided to come here because I heard it's the only place on Oahu where you can trot and canter. The sensation of running through the vast nature, feeling the wind while cantering, is just amazing!

I climbed a mountain and was able to see the beach from the top. The scenery is just beautiful!

Although only English is spoken, I think as long as you understand the terms for trot and canter, you can manage while riding. They also have helmet rentals, and you can easily go with just jeans and sneakers.

The location was a bit far from Waikiki, so I took a taxi. It took about an hour and a half one way, and the fare was around $130. It felt great to drive along the coastal highway. I think having a rental car would be convenient.

The tour provided a thorough explanation in Japanese, and the guide had a great sense of humor. Although there were about 20 people on the tour, we quickly became friendly through activities like beach volleyball and sea turtle watching. The island wasn't completely exposed; at the shallowest point, the water was up to my ankles, but it was beautiful and fun enough. I enjoyed beach volleyball and snorkeling, and the lunch was very delicious. It was also lucky to encounter sea turtles while moving by boat. As an optional tour, I was quite satisfied, but the air conditioning on the shuttle bus from the port back to the hotel was too strong, making it tough on my chilled body after coming out of the sea. Other participants were also shivering and saying it was cold. I recommend bringing something like a thicker hoodie to wear.

It's a tour I would like to experience at least once.

島が完全に出ていた訳ではなく、1番浅いところで
くるぶし位まであったけど、充分綺麗で楽しかったです。
ビーチバレーやシュノーケリングも楽しかったし、ランチも大変美味しかったです。
船で移動中に海亀達に遭遇したのも、ラッキーでした。
オプショナルツァーとしては、充分満足でしたが、
帰りの港からホテルへの送迎バスのエアコンが効きすぎていて、海から上がって冷えた身体には、厳しかったです。
他の参加者も寒い寒いと震えていました。
少し厚めのパーカーなど、はおれるものを持参する事をお勧めします。

一度は行ってみたいツァーです。

while I enjoyed the trip, we were unable to go out to the memorial by boat because of the wind. That was the main reason for the tour, so I feel that my once in a lifetime vacation was incomplete.
Be warned that the Military can shut down the shuttles as they see fit.

I had been wanting to go to Hawaii for a long time, so I applied without hesitation. Since the plan was dependent on the weather, I was aware of the risks, but luckily it was sunny and the weather was very pleasant. However, the wind was strong, and my hairstyle was a mess. On the way to see the dolphins, we were lucky enough to spot a whale. It's not often you get to see one so close. After that, we jumped into the sea where the dolphins were. We were able to see dolphins swimming in a group, but unfortunately, they were too deep, so it didn't feel like we were swimming with them. At the snorkeling spot, we were able to see a turtle. It swam quickly and dove down, so only a few people near the cameraman got to see it. When we returned to the boat, they handed out hamburgers and drinks, but since I couldn't eat due to seasickness, they packed it up for me to take home. I absolutely wanted to swim with dolphins, so I signed up for a tour. The boat ride wasn't too difficult, and I enjoyed the crew's performance on board. However, due to the rain the day before, the water clarity was poor, and it wasn't the bright blue sea I had hoped for with the dolphins! While searching for dolphins, I repeatedly prepared to jump in, but I was only able to see dolphins twice and couldn't swim with them. Unfortunately, I didn't see many fish at the snorkeling spot either. However, the water was not cold, and I could float comfortably. The special double burger on the boat was a lucky find! The excitement of seeing the dolphins was definitely there. I hope to swim with them next time. The hula was okay and somewhat interesting.

　ハンバーガーは美味しかった。ウミガメはガイドがあそこにいるよと教えてくれるのだけど目線を移動すると、もうもぐって消えているみたいな感じであった。天気が良くても水はそれなりに冷たく、シュノーケリングの後にふるまわれたホットチョコレートがとても美味しかった。
　ラッキーでもこんな感じなので、ちゃんと満足するには潮の満ち干と好天がうまく重なった冬以外がお勧めのよう。

I couldn't wait to go, and I finally visited the long-awaited Angel's Sea. It was so beautiful that words can't describe it—360 degrees of sky-blue ocean. We participated as a couple in our mid-50s. Unfortunately, it was windy and rainy, but we made it to the Twin Islands via Flat Island.

Since it was a self-guided plan, I initially struggled with how to paddle, but once I got the hang of it, I managed to move forward.

Even in the reef, the wind was strong, creating waves, and especially when leaving the Twin Islands, I had to time my paddling with the waves to avoid getting tossed around, which was a bit challenging.

The distance to the Twin Islands is about 3 km one way, but we were able to make the round trip in about two and a half hours, which surprised the staff.

However, it was quite cold due to the rain and wind, so we couldn't relax much even after landing on the island. We also couldn't go snorkeling.

It was quite tough, but it was a valuable experience that you can't easily have while in Japan. Reaching the Twin Islands gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Canoeing wasn't difficult even for an amateur like me at my age. Plus, wearing a life jacket made it safe.

What I regret is not being able to relax and snorkel in the beautiful sea or explore the Twin Islands. I would like to try again when the weather is better.

フラット島経由で双子の島まで行ってきました。

ガイド無しプランだったため
最初はどのように漕いだらよいか悩みましたが、なれれば何とか前へ進むものです。

リーフの中でも風が強いと波があり、特に双子の島からの離岸は波の引くタイミングを見計らって漕ぎ出さないと波にもまれる可能性がありちょっと大変でした。

双子の島までは片道3kmほど有りますが2時間半ほどで往復できスタッフの方もビックリされていました。

でも、本当は雨と風でじっとしていると寒くて島に上陸してもユックリしていられなかったのです。
シュノーケリングも出来ませんでした。

結構大変でしたが、日本にいるとなかなか出来ない貴重な体験が出来ました。
双子の島まで行くと達成感がありますよ。

私のような年齢の素人でもカヌーは難しくありませんでした。
また救命胴衣を付けているので危険もありません。

心残りはきれいな海でユックリとシュノーケリングと双子の島の散策が出来なかったこと。
天候が良い時期になら再チャレンジしてみたいです。

The weather was a bit bad and cold, but the captain and the staff were so warm-hearted that I forgot about the cold and was able to enjoy myself. Additionally, one of the female staff members had her child with her, and they worked hard to take care of the guests, adding an extra layer of fun to the experience. I definitely want to enjoy my next visit with the wonderful staff again.

I was able to see dolphins, turtles, and beautiful fish, but it was very cold, perhaps because of the overcast sky. Everyone borrowed wetsuits, but especially when coming out of the water, there were several people, including myself, shivering. They lend you blankets, but since they get wet and don't cover your whole body, I ended up wearing a windbreaker and wrapping myself in a towel and blanket, looking like a rice ball. Depending on the weather, I think people who are sensitive to the cold might enjoy it more in a warmer season. However, the local staff were high-energy throughout, cheering us on with songs and dances. There were also three small children participating, and they were attentive to ensure they weren't scared, which showed their professionalism.

After getting back on land, there was a hula lesson in a nearby open space, but personally, I didn't think it was necessary. Free hula lessons can be experienced in various places, so if they were going to take so much time for the hula lesson, I think it would have been more enjoyable to have a longer free time for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle surfing. Since there was only one kayak and one paddleboard, it seemed like each person could only ride for about five minutes within the short time frame.

One last thing: since it was overcast the whole time, I ended up getting sunburned because I didn't reapply sunscreen. Regardless of the weather, it's better to reapply it multiple times.

無料のフラレッスンは結構いろんな場所で体験できるので、フラレッスンの時間をこんなにとるのなら、最後の自由時間（シュノーケル、カヤック、パドルサーフィン）をもっと長く取ってくれた方が楽しめたのではないかと思いました。カヤックもパドルサーフィンも１台ずつしかないので、短い時間内だと一人につき５分くらいしか乗れなかったようです。
最後にもう１つだけ。ずっと曇り空だったので、日焼け止めをつけなおししなかったらしっかり日焼けしてしまいました。天気に関係なく、何度も付け直しした方がよいですよ。
