We used this for our honeymoon trip as a couple. We opted for a plan that included round-trip transportation to the hotel for an additional fee. While it was a bit pricey, the service and experience exceeded our expectations.

The server assigned to us was cheerful and very attentive. We also purchased additional photos, which became great memories.

If you're looking to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Hawaii, this might not be the right fit for you. However, I think watching the sunset while listening to jazz in a calm setting is a unique experience that’s hard to come by.

There were about 10% Japanese guests, and while the menu had some items in Japanese, all orders and communication were in English. The introductions of the musicians and the engaging talks were also all in English, so having some understanding of the language would make it more enjoyable.

Even if the weather wasn't really great during our experience, we still had a great time chilling in the boat watching the view, snorkeling and had dinner and drinks. It was a really good value for the price since the dinner and alcoholic beverage were also included. The crew was really great too and we spent time talking to them as well. Captain Don, Trent and Jacob were really fun and helpful throughout the experience. Even if we didn't see the sunset because of the weather, it was still great because we saw a humpback whale swimming next to us.

Upon arriving at the Hawaii Country Club, we were welcomed by relaxing Hawaiian music, which instantly lifted our spirits. This is the first luau that our family has been to and they did not disappoint. Our driver was happy and funny. The entire evening was fabulous. The pick up was easy. The games and crafts were fun. We got pictures taken and they turned out great. My son is a culinary student and loved seeing how they prepared the pig. The show was amazing. It was wonderful to see the different styles of dancing from different cultures. The food was great. The desserts were a bit of a letdown as they were either dry or had very little flavor. It was expensive but compared to other luau’s they charge the same thing. This is definitely the one to go to if you want a cultural experience.

I felt reassured by the detailed Japanese support when making the reservation. Also, since it was at the Hyatt Regency on the day of the event, the location was easily accessible, and the view was great. The meals at the hotel buffet were a bit hectic, but they were delicious. (I didn't have time to enjoy the crab slowly, haha.) The show was full of excitement and very impressive. I had mentioned in advance that it was for an anniversary, so I was happy to receive a gift of a fresh flower lei. I definitely think you should participate!

This luau far exceeded our expectations!
The entire show is very well put together. The ambiance is incredible. The staff was amazing. We were greeted with hospitality the entire time. The food was delicious.
Not only did we get a great show with all the dancers, fire twirling, and music, we also got the history of the culture and people behind it all.
On top of that, they also threw in humor.
It was highly entertaining!

The opening is at 17:15 and it's first come, first served, but the actual opening is at 17:30, and you will be guided to your seats while taking photos, which makes it extremely late. Additionally, you will be split into two groups for seating, so just lining up early doesn’t guarantee good seats. The meal is a typical buffet style, but if you don’t grab everything in one round, they start clearing it away quickly. It’s tough, but I recommend taking two plates to get your food. Just when I thought the show was getting exciting, it ended nearly an hour earlier than expected. (It was supposed to end around 20:15, but it actually ended at 19:20.) It was so bad that I requested a refund, but I was told it was not eligible. The staff at Veltra were very sincere in their response, but the event itself was the worst.

I participated with my daughter and four grandchildren. It started with a welcome drink, and before the show began, we had tattoos drawn on us and enjoyed activities like javelin throwing and canoeing—there was so much to do! At the beach, we saw seals lying around, which was a sight we don't often get to see. When the show started, the kids also participated in hula dancing on stage, and there were singing and dancing performances, including an impressive fire dance. It was a wonderful experience!
