Fun excursion!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. It was a really fun experience. We got to see turtles and spinner dolphins! It was a great way for us to end our trip in Hawaii. It is recommended though to know swimming well if you want to snorkel as the life jackets are not buoyant enough to keep you afloat.

Rude swimmers. Please describe how to snorkel with aloha before disembarking.

I get this on every tour, but newbies need instructions on how not to be rude. Don’t flip in my face. Stop swarming at me, and please… there is no reason to flail your appendages rampantly for no reason when there are 50 swimmer right next to you. Please explain this to swimmers before hand. In fact, in a small area, there is no reason for flippers. This would have been much more enjoyable if no one had them.

Turtles were neat. I would not tell anyone else if you see one because everyone swarms and hits you in the face/gut/you name it, as they flail to see it.

My wife and I cam to Oahu for the first time with one thing in mind; we HAVE to go snorkeling! We initially chose Living Ocean Tours based on the affordability, but the experience was SO much better than we expected for the price! Not only did they thoroughly go over ever aspect of snorkeling, they GUIDED us to the good spots to see turtles, fish, and even some awesome reefs! The guides were even outgoing and easy to talk to which just made the whole experience that much better. My wife and I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. Thanks to the captain for getting us out into the ocean, and thanks to Joe and Preston for finding some awesome spots to see sea turtles! MAHALO

An Incredible Experience

The crew from Moana Catamaran were awesome, laid back, and super helpful the entire experience! The classic island music, the weather, the catamaran.. all the vibes were perfect!

We saw a couple schools of Dolphins on the surface (which I believe is NOT common, so keep that in mind if you book!) and saw about 8-9 sea turtles during our time in the water. A few of them hung around the whole time and swam towards us so close we had to swim away to give them the distance they need.

The crew gave us everything we needed- snorkels, fins, and a floaty to make things super easy for our time in the water. I really enjoyed that it was a waist floaty and not a neck inflatable one like some of the other boats out there. Made it much more enjoyable.

Overall, we were mesmerized by the turtles and the fish / sea life that surrounded us, and had an amazing crew to take us to it. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to take from this. My wife said this was "the most amazing experience of her life", and I might even agree. :)

Our guide got in water and spotted turtles and shared a lot of interesting information. We saw so many Turtles and close up. I got to hold a sea urchin. We also saw probably 4 species of fish, pretty. Staff, so friendly and fun, and kept the drinks coming.

Water was super choppy which was not their fault. Captain Junior was kind of a jerk. He was preoccupied with his phone and his smokes. While we road out to the spot, the intro was more about tips and rules than about the snorkel experience. I ended up tipping half of what I planned to tip prior to the trip. I would have liked a little more instruction on how to use the snorkel gear. I was told "it's pretty self explanatory." Bella was the life guard and pulled the anchor. She was a badass. Only had about 45 mins in the water and no time to enjoy "free drinks." Would only recommend if you know how to swim, snorkel, can pound drinks and are only looking for a cheap ride out to sea.‍♀️

At first it we questioned ourselves on where to meet (no signs whatsoever) but it was exactly where the instructions said- beachfront in front of Duke Statue. Otherwise instructions were all very clear & easy to follow. Guys on our boat were friendly and super relaxed- could bring anything on the boat in terms of food and drinks. Boat ride was beautiful. Was a clear day so we saw a lot of turtles- got to spend lots of time on the water. Chill vibes all throughout just the way we like it. Had a blast for first time snorkelers!!!!

My friends and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Honolulu. The turtle swim was our first activity. It met all of our expectations and then some. The three men who took out out to swim made us feel very comfortable and we saw several turtles while snorkeling. The catamaran ride was exciting and the views of the island were breathtaking. This is a must activity for anyone visiting this island.

I would not recommend snorkeling with this company. The captain implied turtles would be all around us--we only saw a couple turtles after everyone was out of the water and only saw a few fish while snorkeling. Also, flotation devices were defective--they kept deflating while in the water. Lifeguard apologized for bad snorkeling spot and defective equipment. Save your money and don't snorkel here!

I really liked the turtle snorkel excursion. We went out short boat ride to the snorkel site. The equipment was excellent everything fit right. The snorkel experience was amazing. I actually saw five sea turtles. They are so neat. I was able to take pictures with my underwater camera. It was abs big. The hides were very nice abs I was able ti get a Diet Coke.

Very convenient as we stayed at the Outrigger, a stones throw from where we boarded the vessel. Crew was very friendly and that always helps. Confused about flippers. Posting on web site said they are not provided by yet they were given out on the ship. I’m glad, made snorkeling a lo easier. Turtles were fun to watch. Only wish we saw more of the reef. Had a very good time.

Amazing! So many turtles!

They weren't joking when they said "turtles sightings guaranteed" - I think we saw about 5 turtles at once, maybe more! The water was so clear that it made seeing everything, including eels and pufferfish, in the reefs so easy. The crew also found a sea urchin and an octopus that they brought up to the surface for us to see and learn about. They were a very fun group that made the experience easy and fun. We wanted to redo the experience all over again as soon as it was done! I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area!

First they changed our tour from 8am to 2pm which I did not like because supposedly you can see more marine life in the early morning. We only got to see 1 turtle and few fish. Where they took us snorkeling wasn't too far from our departure place, when I was hoping it would be further to enjoy more of the ocean. I did enjoy the snorkeling and the tour but wouldn't do it again.

The crew was friendly and talkative. We had never been snorkeling and they made it easy and comfortable. The area where we went there are multiple boats and people, that is not a poor reflection on this tour, but we didn't realize so many people would be in the same place. We did see turtles!! and fish and the reef. They take little time going back so you can get pictures with the view.
