As my review title highlights, it is pretty much self-explanatory what I'm going to describe about this event that took place on August the 28th, 2015. It was one of the most exciting moments of our lifetime. Since we booked this event we have been looking forward to it. Finally when the time arrived we boarded Makani Catamaran with a wonderful reception from the crews. They were all very funny and knowledgeable. The boat was clean and well organized. We sailed on time and were at the fireworks at the right moment. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with beautiful music. On the top of that we were also given a free drink. Had a nice opportunity to view the sunset as well. It was everything that you can expect on your first event in Hawaii!

I participated because I wanted my parents, who were visiting Hawaii for the first time, to experience what Hawaii has to offer. Starting with traditional hula, the spectacular fire show was breathtaking, and my parents were thrilled. I definitely recommend participating in the premium seating. You can really see everything up close!

The meal was served buffet-style, and we all lined up together to serve ourselves. There were many Hawaiian dishes, and they were very colorful. For drinks, I exchanged the drink tickets I received at the reception at the bar, but friendly waiters also came around to take orders at our seats.

I considered the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center, but we had a great time here. Given the location and the food, I think I would choose this place again for my next visit.

ハワイは初めての両親に、ザ・ハワイなるものを体験してほしいと思い参加しました。
伝統的なフラから始まり、大迫力のファイヤーショーは圧巻で両親は大喜び。
是非、プレミアムシートでの参加をお薦めします。本当に目の前で見られます！
お食事はブッフェ方式で、みんなで仲良く一列に並び順番に取り分けて食べました。
ハワイアン料理がたくさんあり、とても鮮やかでした。
ドリンクは受付時に貰ったドリンクチケットと交換でバーでオーダーしましたが、お席へも気さくなウェイターさんが聞きに来てくれます。
ポリネシアンセンターのルアウと悩みましたが、十分楽しめました。やはり立地・お食事共に次回も参加するならこちらかなと思います。

On March 6th, I participated in a sunset cruise. First, I was worried about getting seasick, but it didn't rock as much as I thought, so I was fine. It was a bit chilly, but I got to see a beautiful rainbow and sunset, which was fantastic. Also, the all-you-can-drink option was great. I did get a little splashed, but that was fun in its own way. I highly recommend it!

３月６日に、サンセットクルーズに参加させて頂きました。
まず、船酔いが心配だったのですが、思ったほど揺れなくて大丈夫でした。
少し肌寒ったのですが、きれいな虹と夕日が見れたので最高でした。
後、飲み放題ってところも、良かったです。
水しぶきも少しかかったのですが、それはそれで、楽しかったです。
おすすめですよ。

The weather was uncertain, but it held up, and just in time for sunset, the clouds cleared, allowing us to enjoy the sunset beautifully. Surrounded by cheerful Americans visiting from the mainland and Koreans living in Japan, I had a great time on the cruise, experiencing a boat that sped close to the water even after sunset. The staff provided attentive service, making it a very pleasant tour, and I'm glad I participated.

天候が危ぶまれたがなんとか持って、しかもサンセットの時には雲も切れてグッドタイミングで日没を堪能出来ました。
本土から来ていた陽気なアメリカンと日本在住のコリアンに囲まれて楽しいクルーズでサンセット後も海面スレスレを快走する船を体験出来ました。
スタッフも細かい接客が出来ていてとても気持ちの良いツアーに参加出来て良かったです。

We were blessed with great weather, making it the best cruising experience. This time, we were a group of six: an elderly couple in their 70s, a 4-year-old, a 1-year-old, and my spouse and I. The waves were calmer than expected, and we enjoyed the beautiful sunset without any rocking. Also, as the name suggests, the Mai Tai Catamaran offered unlimited Mai Tais, which was satisfying. Although my English skills are limited, I was able to board smoothly without any inconvenience. It was nice to see that most of the guests were foreigners, with only a few Japanese families. I would love to use this service again when I come back to Hawaii.

天気に恵まれ最高のクルージングとなりました。今回は70歳の老夫婦と4歳１歳と私たち夫婦の6人でお世話になりました。思ったより穏やかな波で揺れることなく、夕陽もとてもきれいに楽しめました。また、マイタイカタマラン号というだけにマイタイ飲み放題で満足です。英語力がないのですが、なんとなくすんなり乗船でき、不便はまったくありませんでした。日本人も二、三組で外人がほとんどなのが、また良かったです。またハワイに来たら利用したいです。

The sunset dinner experience was extraordinary. The food was exquisite and our waitress was amazing. Keilani made us feel at home and made sure our experience was superb. In addition, the assistant manager Crystal Tagudin stopped by our table and chat with us for a while to make sure that our expectations were met. I absolutely loved it and look forward to going back next time I'm in Hawaii. Thank you Star of Honolulu staff!!!

Second year in a row we have enjoyed a sail. Service is on point!!!!

This sunset cruise is well run, offers a good cruise out beyond Diamond Head and a great view of the Hilton Fireworks. Food is good but not luxurious. Very family friendly. Highly recommended!

We booked this with our 3 girls, ages 8, 8 & 10. This is a very family-friendly activity, and the girls interacted with other kids on the boat to make the experience better. The catamaran is comfortable and sails extremely well. We went all the way around Diamond Head before sunset, really good views! Dinner was salad, tofu rolls, chicken, beef, and extremely tasty. Not luxurious (if you want that, take the Star of Honolulu...for much more money!). The bar was well stocked. Sunset was beautiful. We had front row seats for the Hilton fireworks. The kids stayed interested and engaged the whole 3 hours, and adults had fun too! Transportation to and from Waikiki was efficient and on time.
Great value and highly recommended.

This awesome sailing experience was one of a kind. There are many catamarans on Waikiki Beach, but this one stands out. From the colorful sails, to the attentive and pleasant crew, this is a seriously great experience! Make sure you bring cash if you want anything to drink!

I attended a luau show. Since I had made a reservation here, the process was smooth. The show itself was average, and the food was also average at the buffet. I think it's a good option to reserve with peace of mind and see it at least once.

ルアウショーを見てきました。
こちらで予約していたので、手続きはスムーズでした。
ショー自体は普通、食べ物もビュッフェで普通でした。
安心して予約して、一度見るにはいいのかなと思います。

Since it was in the evening, we went on the day of our arrival. The cruise was pleasant, and the sunset was very enjoyable, making for a wonderful first day!

夕方からなので到着日に行きました。
クルーズは気持ちがよく、サンセットもとても気持ちよくて、とても素敵な初日になりました！

There were many participants who were not Japanese. It seemed like there were students and some fun guys who were really getting into the party atmosphere, which made it enjoyable for us as well. When I looked towards the edge, I noticed someone with a pale blue face holding a bucket, so those who are prone to seasickness might need to be prepared. The weather wasn't great, but the fun atmosphere made it a memorable cruise.

参加しているのは日本人以外の方が多かったです。学生さんたちなのか、楽しいお兄さんたちがパーティ気分で盛り上がっており、こちらもその雰囲気を楽しめました。ちょっと端の方を見ると、真っ青な顔をしてバケツを抱えている方もおられて、船酔いする方は相応の備えが必要かも。お天気は今一つでしたが楽しい雰囲気で、思い出に残るクルーズでした。

Michael Jackson and others were incredibly fun, and I seriously want to see a real show in Las Vegas or New York‼️ A high-scoring show!

I participated on my last night in Hawaii. I was torn between the Polynesian Center and Hilton, but considering the fatigue of my elderly parents, I chose Hilton. I also considered Golden Circle, but I was glad I chose Hilton since we arrived a bit late and still got pretty good seats. The show was decent (the Polynesian show I saw in Guam might have been better…). However, it was only in English, so I didn’t understand the talk very well. The meal was a buffet, and the flavors suited Japanese tastes, so I felt comfortable eating everything. It included two drinks, and the price seemed reasonable. Overall, it was very good.

ハワイ最後の夜に参加しました。ポリネシアセンターと迷いましたが、高齢の両親と一緒なので
移動の疲れを考えてヒルトンにしました。ゴールデンサークルも迷ったけど、少し遅れて到着しても結構良い席だったので選んでよかったです。ショーはそこそこよかったです（グアムで見たポリネシアンショーの方がよかったかも…）ただ英語オンリーなのでトークはよくわかりませんでした。食事はブッフェですが、日本人の口に合う味でどの料理も安心して食べられました。
２ドリンク付きだし、価格はこんなものでしょうか。総合的にとてもよかったです。

We loved the dinner cruise!!! The staff were awesome. Very friendly, willing to talk and answer questions. First captain was probably sick of taking pictures for everyone by the end :) The food was great also. There was plenty for each person and then some. The buffet style was great so everyone could eat when and where they wanted not to formal. Relaxed and casual just like we wanted. Timing was perfect to see the sunset and the view was beautiful. Everyone was good about rotating on the nets to make sure everyone else got time. The only thing I would change about this experience is make it an adult only cruise. Everything else was great!!! Thanks :)

The sunset was very beautiful, and the cocktails were delicious. I thought I should have brought something to wear because it got cold halfway through.

途中から寒くなってきたため何か羽織るものを持っていけば良かったと思いました。

One of the best experiences we had during our visit and made for a very memorable 20th anniversary!

I had a great time. It felt like I was invited onto a friend's yacht, and everything was so friendly. I used it on the evening of my arrival in Hawaii, and I felt fine; I wished I could have stayed on longer. I regret not being able to speak English better, as it might have made the experience even more enjoyable. However, even without speaking English, the rainbow and sunset I saw from Waikiki Beach, along with the time spent with people from various countries, felt like a scene from a movie and still seems like a dream to me.

楽しかったです。まるで知り合いのヨットに誘われたかのような感じで、すべてがフレンドリーでした。ハワイ到着日の夕方に利用しましたが、体調も変わりなくもっと乗っていたかったです。自分が英会話ができたらもっと楽しかったかなと反省しています。でも英語ができなくてもワイキキビーチから見た虹や夕焼け、多国籍の人々と過ごした時間は映画のワンシーンのようにロマンチックで今でも夢のようです。

I was able to enjoy a luxurious cruise while listening to upbeat music and having unlimited drinks. At first, I was worried about getting seasick or if the boat would sway, but the other passengers were also in high spirits, and we were able to enjoy the slight rocking like it was an amusement park ride. There were many foreigners on board, and although I was initially anxious, they were actually more lively than the Japanese passengers, and we all had a great time together. The excitement when the sun was setting reached its peak. When we passed by other cruise ships, we waved at each other and cheered, which added to the excitement. This time, I participated with my mother and sister, and both of them praised the cruise throughout our trip. Next time I visit, I will definitely book the catamaran sunset cruise again.

ノリノリな音楽を聴きながら、しかもドリンク飲み放題で優雅なクルーズを楽しむことができました。
はじめは船酔いしないか、揺れないか心配でしたが、まわりの乗客の皆さんもノリノリで多少の揺れもテーマパークのアトラクションのように楽しめました。外国人の方も多くはじめは不安でしたが、むしろ日本人よりノリがよく一緒に盛り上がることができました。
夕日が沈む瞬間の盛り上がりは最高潮に達していました。また他のクルーズ船とすれ違う際には手を振りあいお互いの歓声でまたひと盛り上がりしました。今回は母と妹の3人で参加しましたが、両者とも旅行期間中クルーズのことを絶賛していました。次回訪れた際も必ずカタマランのサンセットクルーズを申し込みます。

Great sailboat ride, what more can one say?
This is one ride you should not miss!

A little background: party was my wife and I, both 30 y/o. We attended this show with the green room and dinner package. The green room and backstage tour portion of the package was underwhelming and really quite boring. One note is that we took a souvenir picture with "Michael Jackson" which was given to us as part of the package as compared to others at the show who had to pay $25 for it. The tour consisted of us, two other couples, and someone who runs the show guiding us around backstage and sharing different behind the scenes info as well as showing us other bits of the production. After that it went to the dinner portion which was held in front of the stage for the hour preceding the show. The food included lobster first course, steak and fish second with veggies and mashed potatoes, then dessert and coffee, all wrapping up before the show started. The food was quite good, especially the steak (tenderloin if I remember correctly). The show, though a little corny, was quite good overall and definitely entertaining. I did not really care for the Lady Gaga portion but the Elvis and Michael Jackson was good overall as well as the fire dancer. One plus of the package was the seating given was right by the stage which gave a small opportunity for the performers to come down and interact with us (not much but a quick appearance) which made it nice when "Elvis" gave my wife his scarf. Overall the night itself was entertaining and the food was good, making the package worth what we paid.

It was the best experience to enjoy drinks on the boat, feeling the wind while surrendering to the pleasant music. I was more moved than I expected when we ventured further out and realized the vastness of the sea with the island behind us. My colleagues also loved this tour, and it seems like it will become a regular course for us from now on. I want to bring my family next time.

船の上でお酒が飲め、心地よい音楽に身を任せながら風を感じる...最高の体験でした。
思っていたより沖に進んだので、島を背にした時には海の広さを実感し、とても感動しました。
同僚達もこのツアーを気に入り、次回から定番のコースになりそうと盛り上がっていました。
私も今度は家族を連れて行きたいです。

I participated on the first day I arrived in Hawaii. They were inviting people to the Golden Circle seats in order of arrival, so if you want to be in the front row, it might be best to arrive early and line up. You could get food from the people at your table, but there was quite a time difference between the first person who went to the buffet and the last person. The finale of the show featured a breathtaking fire dance.

ハワイに着いた初日に参加させてもらいました。ゴールデンサークル席も、早く着いた人からどんどん席に招待してくれていたので、最前列がよければ早く行って並んでいたほうがいいかもしれません。料理は席の人から取りにいくことができたのですが、はじめにビュッフェに行った人と最後の人とでは、だいぶ時間差がありました。ショーの最後はファイヤーダンスで圧巻のダンスでした。

Due to the time of sunset, our departure was delayed by about 30 minutes. While waiting, we took photos with the boat and Diamond Head in the background and played in the ocean. Before departure, they took a commemorative photo of each family (available for purchase at $20 upon disbanding).

Onboard, there was an unlimited supply of Mai Tais and soft drinks, along with a tip service. The Mai Tais were incredibly delicious, so I had quite a few refills! About one-third of the guests were Japanese, but it was quite lively, and the breeze felt nice. The captain was cheerful, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

We were blessed with good weather, and the sunset moment on the boat was truly moving. Depending on the weather, I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises. Of course, the photos taken before we set out turned out great, and I felt good about purchasing them.

日の入りの時間の関係で出発予定のより30分ほど遅れての出航、それまで船とダイヤモンドヘッドを背景に写真を撮ったり海で遊んだりして待ちました。
出航前に家族ごとに記念写真（解散時に20ドルで販売）を撮ってくれて出航。
船上ではマイタイ、ソフトドリンクの飲み放題、チップのサービスがありました。マイタイは大変美味しかったのでたくさんおかわりしました^^;船上も日本人は1/3くらいでしたが、かなり賑やかで風も気持ちよく、船長さんも陽気でかなり賑やかで心地よい空間でした。
天気にも恵まれ、船上でのサンセットの瞬間は感動しました。天気次第ですが、また機会があれば参加したいですね。もちろん出る前に撮ってもらった写真は写りもバッチリで気持ち良く購入しました。

We had a great time..food was great.entertainment was great..everyone so friendly. .beautiful sunset..

Everyone was very good at singing. I really enjoyed it. I went for my middle school daughter who loves both old and new Western music. There were many songs I knew. I felt it was a great deal to enjoy both rock and hula shows. The location is convenient, so I recommend it. As a Michael fan, I was of course satisfied, and even my husband, who wasn't that enthusiastic, was very pleased with the high quality of the songs and dances by Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson, and later took a cheerful photo with Gaga. My sixth-grade son attended for free as part of a summer vacation program, and he said the intense hula dances and fire performances were really cool and very interesting. We reserved front row seats with drinks, so Elvis came over to shake hands with us. Other than that, it’s not a very large hall, so it seems like you could enjoy it from any seat.

みなさん歌が大変上手でした。とても楽しめました。新旧の洋楽の好きな中学生の娘のために行きました。知ってる曲ばかりです。ロックとフラのショーを両方楽しめるので得した気持ちです。場所も便利なのでお勧めです。マイケル好きの私はもちろん、そんなに乗り気でなかった主人もレディーガガさんや、マイケルジャクソンさんの歌とダンスの完成度のた高さに大満足して、後でガガさんとニコニコで写真を撮りました。小6の息子は今回無料の夏休み企画でしたが、本人はフラの激しいダンスや火を使うダンスがとてもカッコ良くて、すごく面白かったと言ってくれました。飲み物付きの一番前のシートを予約しましたので、プレスリーさんが握手にきてくれました。それをのぞけばそんなにおおきくないホールだから、どこの席でも楽しめそうです。

The actual activity was great. The boat was new, and the staff was friendly. I docked one star only because VELTRA had the wrong time listed on their website and confirmation. They said we were loading at 6:30PM but the actual loading time was 7:15PM, the booking site had it wrong. Other than that it was a great experience.
