Check-in was at 2:30 PM, so I arrived a bit early, around 2:20 PM, and checked in right at 2:30 PM. However, it felt quite relaxed, as it seemed you could check in anytime between 2:30 PM and 2:45 PM.

The sunset cruise was fully booked a few days in advance, but it seemed like the daytime cruise was okay for same-day reservations. Those who were boarding on the day had paper wristbands on their arms, and there were quite a few of them.

There are restrooms available. The drinks for the daytime cruise were not all-you-can-drink, as stated on Veltra, so I went with that expectation. In reality, the bartender explained things in long sentences in English, which I didn't quite understand, but I heard him mention prices like "beer ◯ dollars" and "Mai Tai ◯ dollars." However, everyone seemed to just tell the bartender what drinks they wanted, giving it a feel of all-you-can-drink.

Tips were being thrown in with $10 and $20 bills. I guess it was implied that while the beer was ◯ dollars, you should tip on top of that? I thought it would be nice if they provided a paper explanation in Japanese at check-in regarding that system. Regulars were already ordering drinks and starting to drink before the explanation.

On the boat, people who didn’t know each other were chatting and having a good time, but if you can’t speak English, you might feel a bit isolated. It seems like it would be more fun with a larger group.

チェックインが14:30なので早めに14:20くらいに着いて14:30ぴったりにチェックインしましだが、14:30〜14:45くらいまでにチェックインすれば良いような緩い感じでした。
サンセットの方は予約で数日前から埋まってましたが、昼の部は当日でもOKのようです。当日受付に言って乗る人たちは腕に紙のリングを巻いてましたが、かなりいました。
トイレあります。
ドリンクは昼の部は飲み放題ではないとベルトラに書いてあったので、そのつもりで乗りました。
実際はバーテンダーが英語で長文で説明されたので良くわからなかったのですが、ビール◯ドル、マイタイ◯ドルとか読み上げてましたが、みんなバーテンダーに飲みたいドリンクを言って飲み放題感覚でした。
チップは10ドル紙幣や20ドル紙幣がガンガン入れられていました。
「ビール◯ドルだけど、チップで入れてね」ってことだったのでしょうか？
あのシステムは日本語にして受付で紙で配ってくれても良いなと思いました。常連さんは乗った時から（説明前）ドリンクをオーダーして飲み始めてました。
船上は知らない人同士も気さくに話し合い盛り上がっていましたが、英語が話せないとポツンとしてしまいます。大人数で乗った方が盛り上がるでしょうね。

I was nervous about whether we would make it since our pickup was over 30 minutes late. A young American couple waiting next to us asked, "Where is it going?" When I showed them my voucher, we realized we were on the same tour, and they contacted the tour company for us, which was a relief. The atmosphere on the boat wasn't bad, but it seemed a bit off for us. The only time it really got lively was during the fireworks. Well, the main purpose was to see the fireworks from the sea, so my husband and I thought, "Well, it's okay," as we returned home. Ah, it’s hard to say we had a lot of fun, though.

お迎えが30分以上遅れて間に合うのかドキドキでした.隣でお迎えを待っていた若いアメリカ人のカップルの男性がwere is go と聞いてくれたのでバウチャーを見せると同じツアーということが分かりツアー会社に連絡をとってくれたので一安心でした.船の中の雰囲気は悪くないけど私たちにはちょっと合わなかったようです.花火のときだけは大盛り上がり　まあ一番の目的は海上から花火を見ることだったので主人と二人　まあいいか　と帰ってきました.ああー楽しかったとは言い難いかな？

I also rode on the Majestic, so I would be happy if you could use it for comparison. First of all, the Majestic is a large ship, like a cruise ship. Therefore, it doesn't sway. However, the distance from the sea is far, so I would definitely recommend the Majestic for elderly people.

The Makani is a large yacht. It's thrilling, and you are very close to the sea, so think of it as a home party atmosphere on a big yacht. Because it's thrilling, it sways a lot. I took my parents in their 70s, and they struggled to endure the swaying, which left them with sore legs and unable to move the next day, forcing us to take a day off at the hotel.

The food is not much different on either, but since it sways a lot, many people got seasick. (About 30% of the people were definitely seasick.)

If you want a small passenger ship that is stable and doesn't sway, go for the Majestic. If you want to enjoy the sea and the swaying with a yacht-like experience, choose the Makani.

The low rating is not due to poor content, but because there wasn't much mention of the swaying in the reviews, which led me to take my parents in their 70s without considering it, resulting in a low rating. The staff and the ship were not bad.

マジェスティック号にも乗りましたので、比較検討に使ってもらえたらうれしいです。まず、マジェスティック号は大きな船です。客船みたいな。なので、揺れません。その代わり海との距離は遠いのでご年配の方は迷わずマジェスティックをお勧めします。
マカニ号は大きなヨットです。スリリングですし、海とも非常に近く、大きなヨットの上でホームパーティみたいな雰囲気だと思ってください。スリリングな分、めちゃくちゃ揺れます。７０代の両親を連れて行ったのですが、あまりの揺れに踏ん張って耐えていたため、翌日足腰が痛くて動けなくなり、翌日一日ホテルでお休みを取ることになってしまいました。
食事の内容はどっちも大差ないですが、とにかく揺れるので、だいぶみなさん酔ってました。（３割ぐらいの方は確実に酔ってました。）
小さな客船で揺れもなく安定した感じを希望ならマジェスティック号。
海面と近くてヨットに乗る感覚で海や揺れを楽しみたい方はマカニ号です。

評価が低いのは内容が悪いのではなく、評価の中であんまり揺れに関する事が書かれていなかったので、揺れを気にせず７０代の両親を連れて行ってしまったという事での低評価です。スタッフの方も船も悪くはありません。

Had a blast on the catamaran ride. Crew was fun ! Second time we have done it!

My family had a fantastic time! Thanks for an enjoyable experience. Seeing the dolphins was the highlight! We would do this again.

The Makani No. 2 was a two-hull yacht.
In March, Hawaii is in its rainy season, and unfortunately, the weather was not great, but luckily it didn't rain.
We set sail from Kewalo Basin and enjoyed a round trip of about two hours near Diamond Head. I was able to experience the Hawaiian sea right beneath us and had a thrilling time.
Along the way, I got quite cold, but the staff member kindly served us warm herbal tea. The cookies were delicious too! ^_^

マカ二号は二艘式のヨットでした。
3月はハワイは雨季で、あいにくのお天気でしたが、なんとか雨ではなかったのが幸いでした。
ケワロ湾を出航、ダイヤモンドヘッド近くまで往復約2時間の航行。ハワイの海を真下に体感しながら、スリリングな時間を楽しめました。
途中、とても体が冷えてきましたが、スタッフのお兄さんが温かいハーブティをサービスしてくれました。クッキーも美味しかったです^_^

Great crew and sail. Wonderful view of Diamond Head. Even saw a few Sea Turtles.

I think it's the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sea of Waikiki.

I couldn't see any dolphins, but I was able to encounter some whales. The staff on the boat were very friendly, and we had a wonderful time filled with laughter throughout the trip.

However, the boat can be quite rocky, so those who are prone to seasickness should be cautious. Thank you for a very enjoyable journey!

イルカは見れなかったけれど、クジラには遭遇することができました。
船のスタッフさん達もとても感じの良い方々で、終始笑いの絶えない雰囲気で素敵な時間を過ごせます。

ただ、揺れが激しいので船酔いしやすい方は注意が必要です。

The captain told us, and we were able to see the whale's tail perfectly! There was no rocking, and the wind felt really nice.

I have previously watched fireworks from the shore, but the view of the fireworks from the sea on the Makani was amazing. The captain and staff were friendly, and we had a great time. I was surprised by the speed of our return after the fireworks ended.

以前岸側から花火を眺めたことがありますが、船上で海側からの花火の眺めは最高でした。案内してくれた、マカニ号のキャプテン、スタッフもフレンドリーで楽しい時間を過ごしました。　花火が終わってからの帰りのスピードにはびっくりしました。

I saw the reviews and had some expectations, but there were mostly foreigners, with only two Japanese couples, including us. Everything was explained in English, so I didn't understand much (laughs), but I managed to grasp the atmosphere somehow! The foreigners were getting along well with each other on the spot! The food wasn't great, but I'm glad we went. It was a day of Hawaiian illustrations, so it became a nice memory.

レビューを見て参加したのである程度予想はしてましたが、外人さんばかりで日本人は私達夫婦入れて2組でした。すべて英語での説明でわかりませんでした（笑）でも雰囲気でなんとなく理解しましたが！！外人さん同士はその場で仲良くなっていました！！ご飯は期待できませんが行ってよかったです。ハワイラストの日だったのでいい思い出になりました。

Since it is a yacht-type vessel that accommodates about 60 people, it offers a 360-degree view, allowing us to see the fireworks from a closer point than other vessels, making for an impressive cruise. Additionally, being a catamaran, it had less rocking, and we could enjoy the pleasant sea breeze.

約60人乗りのヨットタイプの船舶なので、３６０度視界が確保でき、花火のポイントにも他の船舶より近くから見ることができて、迫力満点のクルーズでした、また海面も近く双胴船のため揺れも少なく、潮風を心地よく感じました。

Everyone except us were Western guests. The crew only provided explanations in English. Still, we managed to understand that the first cup of guava juice was free and got it. After that, the other guests were having a great time drinking beer and wine. We, however, couldn't quite understand what to order, so we held back and didn't drink. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the refreshing thrill and the amazing scenery, and the return trip was a leisurely cruise. I regret not studying more English; we could have enjoyed it much more.

それでも何とか、最初の1杯目のグァバジュースは無料ということは理解しゲット。
その後も周りのお客さんはビールを飲んだりワインを飲んだりと大盛り上がり。
私たちは、なんて注文すれば良いのかちゃんと理解できてないので、飲まずに我慢。
それでも、爽快な疾走感と最高の景色、また戻りはゆったりとしたクルーズが楽しめました。
もっと英語を勉強しておくんだったと後悔。もっともっと楽しめたはずです。

I made a reservation for pickup at the Ala Moana Hotel, but when the pickup time came, no one showed up. After 30 minutes, I called the tour company but couldn't get through, and 45 minutes later, I had to take a taxi to the location and barely made it onto the ship just before departure.

I recommend caution for those requesting a pickup. It was the worst experience. I would like a refund for the taxi fare.

Later, I received a contact from VELTRA, and they coordinated with the tour company to refund the taxi fare. Since I received the refund, I will revise my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.

アラモアナホテルお迎えで予約しましたが、ピックアップ時間になっても来ないため、30分後にツアー会社に電話かけても繋がらず、45分後に急遽タクシーで現地へ向かい出航寸前の船に飛び乗りました。
お迎え頼む方は注意された方が良いです。

タクシー代返金して欲しいです。

後日 VELTRAから連絡があり、ツアー会社と調整いただきタクシー代の返金がありまた。

I participated in an afternoon sailing trip. The meeting point was unclear, and I finally found a staff member in an orange shirt after asking a nearby attendant.

Many reviews mentioned "getting splashed" and "seeing sea turtles," but in reality, it was a very calm sailing experience. We were the only Japanese participants, while the other passengers seemed to be enjoying themselves in swimsuits with drinks. Unfortunately, we didn't see any sea turtles or dolphins, but I enjoyed chatting with the other passengers I met for the first time. Although I was a bit seasick, it was a fun sailing experience, and those who are prone to motion sickness should be cautious.

午後のセーリングに参加しました。
集合場所が曖昧で、近くの係員に聞いてようやくオレンジ色の服を着た係員を見つけることができました。

体験談には「水しぶきがかかる」「ウミガメが見れる」との投稿が多くありましたが、実際には非常に穏やかなセーリングでした。
参加者は我々のみ日本人で、他の乗客は水着でお酒を飲んで楽しむ、という感じでした。
残念ながらウミガメもイルカも見れませんでしたが、初対面の乗客との話を楽しむことができ、日焼けが気になりますが楽しいセーリングでした。
若干船酔いしたので、乗り物酔いしやすい人は注意した方が良さそうです。

Great shipmates!! Perfect day and scenic ride with beautiful Hawaiian weather.

Took 5 members of family from 10-74 years old living in Hawaii, Australia and Oregon. Everyone had a nice time. We saw some flying fish, great views of Diamond Head and Waikiki, the staff was easy going and fun. We all wished the boat was closer to the water like some sailboats and under full sail and not motoring. All in all a good value.

Our family took this cruise and enjoyed it immensely. The crew was very personable and friendly. The ride was just long enough - 90 mins was perfect. Only disappointing thing was they took pics of each group when we boarded but we couldn't find the person when we returned. No big thing tho we had many chances to take photos during the cruise. This is a great cruise and very well worthy the price.

The captain and crew mate were excellent. They were having fun and clearly love their jobs. We had a great time and got to see beautiful sights.

I was looking forward to the fireworks viewing event on this trip. The ship was mostly filled with foreigners, just like in other people's experiences, but since the purpose was cruising and watching fireworks, I was able to enjoy it without worrying. There were reviews saying the fireworks themselves weren't that impressive, but considering the context of watching them in Hawaii, I think they were on par with Japan's large fireworks festivals.

この旅で楽しみにしていたイベントである花火鑑賞。
船内は他の方の体験談同様、ほとんどが外国人でしたが目的はクルージング～花火だったので逆に気にせず楽しめました。
花火自他は大したものではないとのレビューもありましたが、ハワイで見るというフィルターを考えれば、日本の大きな花火大会にも引けをとらないと思いました。

I'm 65, 2 heart attacks on my resume and was never much of an adventurer. Your Catamaran ride woke me to what I've been missing. Thank you !!! Will I do it again? Absolutely!!! As a matter of fact, your ride out to the open sea prompted me to schedule to some parasailing Tuesday. I hope that answers your "review" Thanks again. . .

The wind was strong, so it couldn't be helped, but it was quite rocky and I was fine. However, my friend got seasick, which was unfortunate. Some Japanese people who don't understand English didn't realize the fireworks were canceled and couldn't understand why we had to disembark. They had to ask a Japanese person who understands a little English, and upon learning about the cancellation, they disembarked feeling disappointed. I wish there had been more consideration, like preparing boards that are easier for Japanese people to understand.

It would also be nice to have boards indicating where to get off in a way that Japanese people can understand for the return trip. It gets dark and the scenery changes.

風が強かったので仕方ないですが、結構揺れて 私は平気でした。でも友達が船酔いして残念でした。英語がよく分からない日本人は花火のキャンセルが分からず、なぜ下船なのか納得出来ず、英語の少しわかる日本人に尋ねて貰い、キャンセルと分かり がっかりしながらの下船でした。もう少し
日本人にも分かりやすく、ボードを準備するとかの配慮があればと思いました。

帰りの送りも 日本人に分かるように降りる場所書いたボード等あるといいですね。暗くなって景色も変わってますので。

We were a group of eight hula dancers, all in our 60s but feeling young at heart. We enjoyed the waves quite a bit while taking photos in front of the net. We went sailing out to Diamond Head, where we even spotted dolphins and turtles! We were the only Japanese people there. The check-in was quick, and the atmosphere on the yacht was very pleasant. It's always fun, no matter how many times you go.

フラの仲間８人、全員６０代でも気持ちは若い私達、結構揺れて前方のネットの上で波を楽しんだり、写真撮ったり。ダイヤモンドヘッドの沖合いまでセーリング。イルカや亀も見えました！日本人は私達だけでした。受付も記念写真も素早かったしヨットの雰囲気もとても良く、何回乗っても楽しいです。

It was a three-generation trip with my 6-year-old and 8-year-old grandchildren. The little ones were amazed by the magnificent scenery they had never seen before. The food was delicious, and everyone was thrilled with the fireworks that were special to Friday.

6歳と８歳の孫を連れて三世代の旅行でした。小さな子供達も見たことのない雄大な景色に感動していました。食事も美味しく金曜日ならではの花火に皆んな大喜びでした。

The weather was perfect, with a blue sea and blue sky, making it an ideal location. I was able to experience a slightly glamorous atmosphere in my dream destination, Hawaii.

The reception was a bit confusing. When I asked someone sitting under a sunshade if this was the right place, they said it was fine, but boarding was actually from in front of the Halekulani hotel, which is right next to the meeting point hotel.

Since there was no announcement to move, I had no choice but to follow the people who started walking, which made me anxious about whether I was in the right place. Because of this, I give it four stars.

Before boarding, the staff instructed us to take photos, so everyone ended up taking them. At the end, there was a photo sale, but you can skip that without any issue.

When boarding, they recommended taking off sandals since we would be entering the water a bit. If the sandals were sandy, the crew would wash them in a bucket before handing them back.

Drinks were served on the boat, but all the explanations were in English. Some Japanese guests seemed hesitant and didn't take the drinks. I think it's fine to ask if you don't understand.

I was surprised when they stopped the boat offshore and said we could swim. Foreign guests quickly changed into swimsuits and jumped into the sea. It looked so refreshing that I wanted to give it a try.

Inside the boat, American music was playing loudly, and the cheerful crew kept the atmosphere lively. Although the boarding time was short, it was just right for enjoying the view of Waikiki from the sea.

天気に恵まれ、青い海に青い空、と絶好のロケーション。憧れのハワイでちょっとセレブな雰囲気を味わえました。

受付がわかりにくく、日除けのパラソルの下に座っている人に声をかけるとここでいい、と言われたのですが、乗船は集合場所のホテルのひとつ隣のハレクラニの前からでした。

移動するようにと声がかかるわけではなかったので、先に待っている人が歩き出すのに付いていくしかなく、これでいいのかと不安になりました。その分☆４つです。

乗船前に写真撮影をするようにとスタッフが指示するので断れなくみんな撮ってました。最後に写真の販売があったのですが、これはスルーすれば大丈夫です。

乗船時にちょっと海に入るのでサンダルも脱ぐようにと勧められます。砂だらけのサンダルだとクルーがじゃぶじゃぶとバケツでサンダルを洗ってから渡してくれました。

船の中ではドリンクが配られるのですが、説明はすべて英語です。日本人でわからない人は遠慮してるのかドリンクを受け取らない人もいました。わからなければ聞けばいいと思います。

沖合でいったん船をとめ、泳いでいいよと声がかかったのには驚きました。外国人の方たちは、次々と水着になって海へ入っていきます。気持ちよさそうなので、チャレンジしたかったです。

船の中はアメリカンミュージックがガンガン流れ、陽気なクルーが盛り上げてくれました。短い乗船時間ですが、ワイキキを海から眺めるにはちょうどいいかな。

This sail was great and I like it . Just the location was difculty to find for me. I walked around for while and asked a few of people, finally I found boarding place it is the time for boarding already.
Otherwise everything is very good, the stuff is nice and professional, the weather is good and the sailing tour is very enjoyable.

Since it was a special Friday with my daughters on their first trip to Hawaii, we decided to watch the fireworks from the sea. It was better than I expected, as we could see Diamond Head from a different angle and enjoy the pleasant breeze. The buffet-style meal was also tastier than I anticipated, and there seemed to be a variety of drinks available.

However, it would have been nice to have some notices in Japanese regarding safety instructions and how to order drinks on the boat. I didn't quite understand everything and couldn't enjoy the different drinks as much as I would have liked. It was a bit disappointing, especially since the bartender was very friendly and accommodating.

初ハワイの娘達と折角の金曜だったので、海上から花火を見ようと言うことに。違う角度からダイヤモンド・ヘッドが見れたり、気持ち良い風に吹かれながらと思った以上に良かったです。ビュッフェスタイルの食事も思ったより美味しかった。お酒も色々ありそうでした。
ただ、船上での注意書き、お酒の頼み方などせめて日本語表示の張り紙でもあればよかった。よく分からなくて、色んなお酒を楽しめなかった。作ってくれるお兄ちゃんはとってもフランクで良かっただけに少し残念。

The funniest crew ever! They made sure everyone had a good time and being in the splash zone was a blast. Amazing view of Diamond Head and more. So much room to move around onboard and the entire cruise was just overall fun and relaxing!

Since my husband and I have seen the fireworks on Friday many times, this time we decided to join a tour to watch them from a boat. There were a lot of people on board, so it didn't feel like a relaxed sunset viewing. There were many large foreign tourists, and around the time of departure, we felt a bit intimidated since we are not very good at English. We were able to see the fireworks, but since it was from a distance, they were smaller than we expected.

主人と金曜日の花火は何度も見ているので、今回は船の上から見ようとツアーに参加しました。
とても大勢の人が乗っていて、ゆったりサンセットを鑑賞する感じではありませんでした。
体の大きな外国人が多く、出航の頃は英語が苦手な私達は気後れしてしまいました。
花火は見られましたが、遠くからなので思ったより小さかったです。
