Thanks to the other passengers on board who kept pointing out, "It's over there!" I was able to see it several times. The announcements made by the captain when something is spotted are, of course, only in English, so those who don't understand English will have to rely on the reactions of the surrounding passengers. I imagined it would be as luxurious as a show like "Itte Q," but it was surprisingly underwhelming.

一緒に乗船しているお客さんが見つける度にあっちにいるよ！と声をかけてくれたおかげで何度か見ることができました。船長が見つけた時にかけるアナウンスは当たり前に英語のみなので、英語がわからない人は周りのお客さんの反応を頼りにすることになります。イッテQのような豪華な感じを想像していましたが、案外しょぼかったです。

There is a pickup service from the center of Waikiki, and it takes about 30 minutes to board. Many foreigners participated, and the explanations after departure were primarily in English, but it wasn't a problem at all. About 20 to 30 minutes after departure, we were able to see whales around the area with Diamond Head in front of us. They were small, but we could see them spouting water multiple times and jumping, making the time fly by.

Since it’s a large boat, I think you don’t have to worry too much about it rocking, but it was cold inside the boat, so I recommend bringing a jacket!

ワイキキの中心部からの送迎ありで30分ほどで乗船。外国の方も多く参加されており、出発後の説明などは基本英語でしたが、困ることはなかったです。出発後20分から30分ほどでダイアモンドヘッドを正面に見渡すあたりでクジラを見ることができました。小さめでしたが、何度も潮を吹く様子やジャンプする姿など見ることができ、あっという間の時間でした。

大きな船なので揺れなどはそこまで心配しなくて良いかと思いますが、船内は寒かったので上着を持っていかれる事をお勧めします！

The initial explanation was like a menu, and there was a Japanese translation guide available. The announcements and commentary on the ship were in English only. I used a translation app to somewhat understand. There were many customers, both Japanese and foreign. I couldn't see clearly up close, but from a distance, I could see the spouting and the back! Above all, the wind was really strong and cold; motion sickness medication is a must! There was an announcement to consult the tour guide if you feel unwell. I'm glad it didn't rain, and the view of Diamond Head from the sea was very beautiful.

船内のアナウンス、実況は英語のみです。翻訳アプリを自分で使ってなんとなく分かる感じ。
お客さんは日本人も外国人も沢山いました。
近くではっきりとは見えなかったけど遠目で潮吹きと背中が見えました！
何より風がすごい強くて寒かったです、酔い止めは必須です！体調悪くなったら添乗員に相談してくださいとアナウンスありました。
雨が降らなくて良かった、海からのダイアモンドヘッドもとても綺麗でした。

It was no one’s fault that the day we went was windy and they had to turn the boat around after they said “this is where most whales hang around.” We got to see a blow hole and one fluke which was fun but it was at the very end of our trip so we didn’t get to stay and watch the group of whales any further. The captain did delay our return 15 minutes to see the whale that we did see which was very nice! Overall, it was no one’s fault that the weather wasn’t the best but to me it felt like a waste of my time and money and I was disappointed in the end

Check-in is easy to find next to the anchored Star Honolulu. A large ship welcomes you with the captain as you board. After boarding, everyone waits in seats on the first floor and listens to an explanation from a whale expert for about 15 minutes after departure. If you are seated before departure, you can purchase drinks, snacks, and bagels for a fee. There are important explanations about the size of the whales and how to identify their location by relating it to the positions of the clock hands. Once the explanation is finished, everyone moves to their preferred floor. Whales can be seen very well from any deck. I was able to see the whales' spouts and tails up close, and most importantly, the captain takes the time to show the whales to the children when they are spotted. Thanks to this, we were able to see the whales multiple times, and the kids were very satisfied. It became a wonderful memory.

チェックインは停船しているスターホノルル号の隣でわかりやすい場所でできます。大きな船にキャプテンが出迎えてくれて乗り込みます。乗船後全員一階の席で待機し、出航後15分くらいはくじら専門家の方の説明を聞きます。出航前から着席すると、ドリンクやスナック、ベーグル等有料購入できます。鯨の大きさなどの説明や、鯨がいる場所を時計の針に見立てて何時方向に見えると乗客に伝えること等の重要な説明があります。説明が終わると一斉に好きなfloorへ移動します。どの階でもとても良く鯨が見えました。思っていたよりも近くで鯨の潮吹きや尻尾をはっきり見ることができ、何よりも、しっかり子供も見れるように鯨を発見するとキャプテンは時間をかけて見せてくれます。そのおかげで何度も鯨を見る事ができて子供も大満足でした。とても良い思い出になりました。

It was the coolest thing to do! Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but loved it. Getting that close to the fish underwater. Amazing.

A disclaimer agreement is sent via email in English beforehand, so all participants need to check it and return it. I used Google Lens to roughly translate it, checked it, and replied, but since it was a boat activity, it was a long document.

Although it was more expensive than other tours, it was nice that we could embark without moving. However, the reception location was hard to find, and the meeting place was also unclear. Although it was supposed to start at 1 PM, we were told it would be from 1 to 8 PM on the day, which made it feel like we were starting off late. (The port call was around 3:30 PM.)

Unfortunately, on the day I participated, we didn’t see any whales or dolphins, just a turtle floating by, and it turned out to be more of a cruise around Diamond and other scenic spots. It seemed like they really tried hard to find something since they are in the business. In such cases, you will receive a reboarding ticket when you disembark. If you wish, you can also make a reservation for the next day on your way back.

I couldn’t ask in detail since I’m not fluent in English, but I was told that the ticket can be used the following year or anytime after. Just let them know over the phone that you have the reboarding ticket to make a reservation. (I believe they also mentioned that you could transfer to other sunset cruises. It seems that if it’s a more expensive tour, there might be a difference in cost.)

The reboarding ticket has the number of participants written on it, and I was told that it cannot be split into individual tickets for two people to use separately. So, it might be better not to set the reboarding for the last day of your trip!

The explanation on the boat right after boarding was, of course, in native-speed English, and the safety instructions were quite long. Since I’m not fluent in English, I didn’t understand it well, which made me a bit cautious about safety.

As for moving around the boat, there are open spaces at the front and back without a roof, seating inside, and some tables. There is a restroom in the starboard lower deck. There’s also a bar counter inside the boat. Free chips and snacks are available on the tables inside. If you sit outside, the staff will come to take your drink orders. Free soft drinks include pineapple, guava, Sprite, Coca-Cola, and water. You can have as many as you want for free, but tips are appreciated.

In the end, we didn’t see any whales, but since you can board again if you don’t see any, it might be nice for those with time to enjoy multiple cruises. By the way, when I asked if there were whales yesterday, they said there were. Personally, I think the afternoon departure, unlike other tours, might increase the chances of seeing them.

The boat rocked quite a bit. It’s dangerous to move around while it’s moving, so it’s best to hold onto the handrails and go slowly. Those who are sensitive might get seasick. The sun was shining brightly, so be careful of sunburn. Since it rocked a lot and I didn’t move around, I couldn’t take many pictures of the boat.

他のツアーより割高だが、移動せずに出航できてよかった。ただし、受付の場所がわかりにくく、集合場所もよくわからず、13時からであるが当日で13－20と言われ、はいはい遅れるのね・・・というスタートでした。（寄港は15：30くらい）

また、仕方ないですが、参加した日は鯨はみられませんでして、イルカもみられず、ちらっと亀が浮いているだけで、ダイヤモンドやその他景色をクルージングしたような形になりました。向こうも商売なので、かなり粘って探してくれたように感じました。
そういう場合は、降りる際に、再乗船できるチケットをいただけます。希望すれば帰りにそのまま翌日の予約もできます。

英語が堪能でないので詳しくは聞けませんでしたが、翌年でもそのあとでも、ずっと使えるよ。電話でその再乗船券を持っていることを伝えて予約してね。とのことでした。（他のサンセットクルーズなどにも振り替えができると説明していたと思われます。より高いツアーであれば差額が必要っぽい）
再乗船のための券が、人数がかかれているものであり、二人別々に使うように一名ずつのチケットに分割することはできないと言われましたので、再利用はその旅行内にできるように、最終日に設定しない方がいいのかもしれません！

乗船した後すぐの船の上での説明は、当然ネイティブスピードの英語での注意事項説明などが、結構長くありまして、英語が堪能でないのでよくわかっておりませんでしたので、安全上ちょっと怪しげだったので気をつけました。

船上の動き方としては、屋根がない前と後ろのスペースと、船内に座れるところ、一部テーブルがあり、船内右舷地下にトイレがあります。船内にバーカウンターもあります。船内のテーブルには無料のチップスなどが置いてあります。外に座っていると、係の方がドリンクのオーダーを取りに来てくれます。無料のソフトドリンクは、パイナップル、グアバ、スプライト、コカコーラ、水などがあります。何杯でも無料ですがチップをちょうだいね。のシステムのようでした。

結果、鯨はみられませんでしたが、みられないとまた船に乗れるので、時間がある方にとっては、何度もクルージングできていいかもしれません。ちなみに昨日は鯨はいたか？と聞いてみたら、いたよー。ということでした。個人的には他のツアーと違っての午後出発なので、時間帯的にみられる可能性が高い低いあるかもなと思ったりしています。

船、結構揺れました。動いている途中の移動は危険なので手すり捕まってゆっくりがよさそうです。弱い人は酔うかもです。日光さんさんとしていて、日焼け危険です。揺れが大きくて移動しなかったので、船の写真はあまりとれませんでした。

The wind was blowing really hard, so it was a bit challenging, but seeing the whales made everything forgivable. I was worried about seasickness, but the boat was large and safe, so it was very comfortable. If it had been a small boat, it would have been much harder in the big waves.

It was quite windy, but the boat was large and stable, so I was able to enjoy the experience without getting seasick. I appreciated how the crew boosted everyone's spirits and their serious focus on searching for whales.

In the first half of the cruise, no whales appeared, and I was starting to lose hope, but in the second half, we encountered whales multiple times, and it was an amazing experience to see them spouting water and even their tails.

I also used the shuttle bus service, but since various tour pickup buses arrive at the same time, I showed my voucher to the staff to confirm which bus was for my tour. I think it would be clearer if the Veltra logo was displayed.

かなりの強風でしたが、船が大きいので安定していて、船酔いすることなく楽しめました。クルーの皆さんが気分を盛り上げてくれたり、真剣に海を見つめてクジラを探す姿に好感がもてました。
クルーズ前半はまったくクジラが現れず諦めかけていましたが、後半で何度もクジラに遭遇し、潮をふいたり、尾びれまで見ることができて最高の体験になりました。
バスの送迎も利用しましたが、同じ時間帯に色々なツアーのピックアップバスが来るので、自分のツアーがどのバスなのかスタッフの方にバウチャーを見せて確認しました。
ベルトラのロゴ等が表示されているとよりわかりやすいと思います。

When it comes to winter in Hawaii, whale watching is definitely a highlight! I participated in early February 2024.

I took an Uber from my hotel to the meeting point for the first morning tour. During this time of year, it can get a bit cool in the mornings and evenings, so having a light jacket was a good idea. Upon arriving at the meeting point right next to the Prince Hotel, I found many guests from the mainland USA already lined up. (It seemed there were few Asian guests.) After giving my name to a staff member in a PINK SAILS uniform, I completed the check-in process. Once the boat was ready, we were guided to board.

The interior of the boat is spacious, but seats at the front and on the upper deck are taken in the order of boarding. If you hesitate, you might miss out on a good seat, so I recommend getting in line early!

I was a bit anxious about seasickness, but the waves were calm on the day I participated. Since it was a catamaran, there was little rocking, and I could enjoy the pleasant sea breeze. We departed the harbor and moved a little off the coast of Waikiki. The boat stopped near Hilton's beach, and the whale watching began. Fortunately, during my tour, we spotted a mother and calf whale within just a few minutes, coming close enough to see them clearly. We maintained a respectful distance to avoid stressing the whales, allowing us to observe their fins and spouts for a while.

The onboard guide spoke entirely in English, providing detailed explanations about whale behavior, including parenting methods, as well as the direction of where to look for the whales. While good listening skills in English are necessary, there were many interesting stories that were very informative. The guide also indicated the direction of the whales (like 11 o'clock or 3 o'clock), and all the guests from the mainland were looking in the same direction. Even if someone missed the English explanation, they could follow the gaze of the other guests to spot the whales!

However, since the color of the whales' backs can blend in with the ocean, it might be difficult to see them from a distance. If you're prepared, bringing binoculars could help you see better.

After enjoying the whale watching, a pod of dolphins appeared in the distance. While they didn't jump high, they surfaced and showed their fins, and compared to the whales, the dolphins were more playful and adorable, which was a delightful surprise. Just when I thought I was already satisfied with the whales, the excitement continued! A white woman sitting next to me kept exclaiming "Oh my god" in delight, and the little children were also visibly thrilled.

Seeing such precious wildlife off the coast of Waikiki, surrounded by tall buildings, truly showcases the unique beauty of Hawaii's nature. It seems there are days when you might not see anything depending on the wave conditions and the whales' mood, so I feel incredibly grateful for my good fortune.

冬のハワイの風物詩といえば、やっぱりホエールウォッチングですね！2024年2月初旬に参加しました。

朝一番の回、ホテルからUberで集合場所まで移動。この時期のハワイは朝晩少し涼しくなりますので、薄手の上着があって良かったです。プリンスホテル真横の集合場所に到着すると、既にたくさんの米国本土のお客様が並んでいました。（アジア系のゲストは少ない様子でした。）
PINK SAILSさんの制服を着たスタッフさんに名前を伝えればチェックイン完了です。船の準備が整ったところで乗船の案内をいただきました。
船内は広々していますが、前の席や上のデッキ等は乗船した順で取られていきます。遠慮していると良い席に座れなくなりますので、早めに列に並んでおくのがお勧めです。！

船酔いしないか少しヒヤヒヤしていましたが、私が参加した日は波も穏やか。カタマラン船なので船の揺れも少なく、気持ち良い潮風を感じることもできました。港を出発しワイキキ沖を少し進みます。ヒルトンのビーチが見える辺りで船が止まり、クジラ探しがスタート。私の参加回は強運なことに数分の創作でクジラの親子が見つかり、ギリギリ見えるくらいの距離まで接近してくれました。親子のストレスにならないようにボートとクジラの距離を保ちながら、しばらくクジラの背びれや潮吹きの様子を見ることができました。

船内のガイドは全て英語ですが、クジラの見える方向に加えて子育ての仕方などもクジラの生態も丁寧に説明してくれます。英語のリスニング力が必要ですが、興味深い話も多く、大変参考になりました。
またクジラが見える場所については、何時の方向（11時の方向、3時の方向等）で教えてくれますし、一緒に乗っているアメリカ本土のお客さんが全員同じ方向を向いてくれます。英語ガイドを聞き逃した人も、周りのお客さんに合わせて視線を向ければ、クジラの姿に気がつくはず…です！

なお、クジラの背中と海の色が似ているため、なかなか遠くからは見えづらい場合もあると思います。準備ができる方は望遠鏡などを持っていくとよく見えるかもしれません。

一通りクジラウォッチングを楽しんだ後、遠くにイルカの群れが現れてました。大きなジャンプこそなかったですが、鼻を出してくれたり、背びれを見せてくれたり、クジラに比べてアグレッシブでかわいいイルカたちも見られ感動でした。クジラだけでも大満足だったところに嬉しいサプライズ！横に乗っていた白人女性の方は嬉しさのあまり「Oh my god」と言い続け、小さなお子さんたちも大喜びの様子でした。

ビルが立ち並ぶワイキキ沖でこんなに貴重な野生動物が見られるなんて、ハワイの大自然は唯一無二ですね。
波の状況やクジラの気分によっては見られない日もあるようなので、自身の強運には驚きと感謝ばかり。

参加でき本当に良かったです。スタッフの皆様ありがとうございました！

今回初めての参加でした。早朝からのコースで行きました。船はとても広く屋上等も上がることができ、海が一望できました。清潔でトイレなども付いておりとても良かったです。ツアーの前にスタッフからクジラについての説明やクジラが見えた際の方向の指示の説明等があったため助かりました。出航後は何回もクジラを見ることができ、Tail Slap（テールスラップ）も見ることができました。帰りも船の中でゲームのような形でスタッフの方からクイズがありとても楽しめました。スタッフの方は皆さん親切な方ばかりで、クジラが出た方向の指示を聞き逃してしまった時もクジラの出た方向に連れて行ってくれたりしました。とても楽しかったです。また行きたいと思います。

It was great to see the spouts and tails of two whales multiple times in the big rolling waves. The cruise ship kept following the whales, allowing us to see them several times. It would have been perfect to see them a bit closer, but the timing was just right. It was also nice to view Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea. The cost performance is good.

大きなうねり波の中で、2頭のクジラの塩吹き、潜った時の尾ひれを何回も見れて大変良かった。
クルーズ船がずーっとクジラを追ってくれて、何度も見ることが出来た。
もう少し近くで見れれば最高だったが、時間的にも丁度良かった。
ワイキキビーチやダイアモンドヘッドを海から眺めるのも良かった。
コスパはいいですね。

I joined the tour at the meeting point. I received a boarding sticker to place on my chest and boarded the ship. The boat was quite a large sightseeing vessel.

About five minutes after leaving the dock, we slowed down. I was able to see a baby whale. This was the closest I got to a whale, and I was able to take great photos with my 250mm lens.

After this, I saw whales spouting from a distance several times, but they only appeared small in the viewfinder. I didn't see any whales jumping, but I was very satisfied with the sense of openness.

現地集合で参加。受付で乗船シールを胸に貼って乗船。船は結構高い観光船。
桟橋を離れて5分くらいで減速。子ども鯨が見れた。これが1番近くで見れた鯨で250mmレンズでバッチリ撮れた。
この時以降遠くて塩吐く鯨は何度か見れたがファインダーの中に小さく映る程度。ジャンプする鯨は全く見れなかったが、開放感にとても満足、

It was a nice day with good weather.
I used the shuttle bus, and the driver, Chris, was very kind. The bus was large, clean, and comfortable to ride.
During the bus ride, we could watch a video explaining the ship and safety instructions in both English and Japanese.
The service from the cruise staff was also very good.
Unfortunately, we couldn't see any whales, but we received a voucher for a free ride, so I would like to try again.

天気も良く気持ちいい日でした。
送迎バスを利用しましたが、ドライバーのクリスさんとても親切な方でした。バスは大型で綺麗で乗り心地もよかったです。
バスで移動中、ビデオによる船内の説明と安全に関する説明を英語と日本語で見ることができます。
クルーズスタッフの方々のサービスもとてもよかったです。
肝心なクジラは残念ながら見ることができませんでしたが、リベンジ乗船券をいただいたので再挑戦したいと思います。

The day we experienced was a rough day at sea, and even though it was a very large ship, it rocked quite a bit. Wandering around the deck was somewhat better, but still, my child seemed to get seasick and ended up sleeping on the sofa partway through. We saw whales closer than we expected, and we also spotted dolphins. The tour itself was enjoyable, but I think it's a good idea for participants to bring motion sickness medication just in case.

体験した日は海が大荒れの日でとても大きな船だったのですがよく揺れました。
デッキをうろうろしていると幾分マシでしたがそれでも子供は酔ったようで途中からソファーで寝ていました。
鯨は思っていたより近くに見え、さらにイルカも見えました。
ツアー自体は楽しかったのですが参加される方は念のため酔い止めを持って行かれるのがいいと思います。

We had an amazing experience with Chad and the crew of Three Tiki Sailing. We took an 8:00 am sail to avoid the winds and the weather was perfect. Parking was easy and inexpensive along the harbor. There was another large group lining up near our catamaran. We were happy to find that our boat had only a dozen guests making for what felt like a private tour. We almost felt sorry for the packed multi-level boat adjacent to us. The Three Tiki team were entertaining and made the entire tour educational. We saw a sea turtle before we even made it out of the harbor. Within 20 minutes we saw our first whale and consistently saw a mom and calf throughout our time. It does get a little chilly in the morning so a light jacket is recommended. Honestly if we hadn’t seen any whales the experience alone of sailing on the catamaran and lounging in the trampolines would have been worth it. But the Three Tiki team navigated well and made sure we got the full experience. Would highly recommend this group.

I participated in the tour on February 22. I added transportation to the departure, which allowed me to arrive at the boat without any confusion. Additionally, we were blessed with good weather and were able to see mother and baby whales faintly. Feeling the sea breeze, the view of Diamond Head and Honolulu from the boat was very lovely. The interior of the boat was spacious, allowing us to see Honolulu from various angles. On the return trip, I got off at the Waikiki Prince Hotel and was able to walk directly to Ala Moana Center. It was a very satisfying tour!

行きの送迎も追加し、迷うことなく船に到着することができました。
また、天気に恵まれ、体全体、うっすらと親子クジラを見ることができました。
海風を感じながら、船から見るダイアモンドヘッドとホノルルの景色がとても素敵でした。船内はとても広いため、いろんな角度からホノルルを見ることができました。
帰りの送迎では、ワイキキプリンスホテルで下車し、そのまま徒歩でアラモアナセンターまで行くことができました。
とても満足なツアーでした！

Since I was staying at Hawaiian Village, it was easy to find the location of Pink Sails in front of Prince Waikiki, about a 15-minute walk. We set sail at 8 AM, and during the two-hour trip, we were able to see the spouts from a distance several times. When we turned around, we encountered a whale swimming slowly parallel to our boat, and later, two more whales swam by. Finally, we saw one of them slowly sinking its tail as if to say goodbye. I think a smaller boat would have allowed us to see them even closer, but I felt very lucky. I bought motion sickness medication at ABC Mart and took it beforehand. If you plan to go, I recommend bringing some from Japan.

ハワイアンビレッジに宿泊していたので、徒歩15分くらいで、プリンスワイキキ前のピンク・セイルズの場所はわかりやすかったです。朝8時に出航し、2時間の間に遠目に潮吹きを何度か見られて、Uターンしたころに、船にゆっくりと並行するくじらと遭遇、そのあとも2頭のくじらが泳ぎ去り、最後にさよならをするようにゆっくりとしっぽを沈めていくのを見ることが出来ました。もう少し小さな船のほうが、もっと間近で見られていたようにですが、とても運が良かったと思います。酔い止めはABCマートで買い事前に飲みました。予定しているのなら日本からの持参をお勧めします。

The day we boarded, the waves were incredible and the ship was rocking a lot. As I stared at the choppy sea, I started to feel seasick, haha. I was able to see the whale's tail and it spouting water. The dolphins also swam alongside us, which was quite a unique experience. The first mate provided a lot of explanations, and I became interested in the ecology of whales. However, it was really unfortunate how rough it was (though it's to be expected with nature). It was a large ship, but everyone was lying down on the sofa seats, making it quite a tough tour.

イルカも並走してくれてなかなかできない経験でした。
副船長の方もたくさん説明してくださり、鯨の生態にも興味が持てました。
しかしとにかく揺れがひどかったのが残念でした。(自然相手なので仕方ないですが)大きな船ですが、ソファー席にみんな寝ていてなかなか過酷なツアーでした。

The weather was cloudy with light rain starting partway through, but I was fortunate enough to spot whales three times, seeing their spouts, backs, and tails. It was an English tour, but whenever a whale appeared, someone would shout "Whale! Right?" so it wasn't a problem. I was at the very front of the boat and was thrilled to see turtles and dolphins swimming nearby. However, the boat was quite rocky, so I strongly recommend taking motion sickness medication. I also noticed some people feeling groggy inside the boat.

Additionally, it can be surprisingly cold on the water, so a jacket or a towel is essential. There is a directive to print out a waiver on paper, but it seemed that you could also read a QR code at the reception and respond that way. For those who are not confident in English, I think it would be fine to sign the printed paper and bring it along.

天候は曇りで途中から小雨が降るなど恵まれませんでしたが、クジラには気付いただけで3回、塩吹き、背中、尾びれまで見ることが出来ました。英語ツアーでしたがクジラがでるとどなたかがWhale！right などと叫ぶので問題なかったです。船の一番前で見ていたところ、カメやイルカが泳ぐのも身近に見れて大満足。ただし、かなり揺れがあったので酔い止めを飲まれることを強くおすすめします。船内でグロッキー状態の方も見かけました。
また海上は意外と寒いので上着やバスタオルなど羽織物も必須です。
なお、宣誓書を紙でプリントアウトしていくよう指示がありますが、当日受付でQRコードを読んで回答してもよいようでした。英語苦手な方は印刷した紙にサインしてお持ちになればよいかと思います。

We participated as a couple. The hotel pick-up and drop-off was convenient. Upon arriving at the departure port, we boarded a large cruise ship, where the staff and captain provided thorough safety instructions and explained the ecology of whales and viewing points. Then, the whale watching began. Since it was a large ship, we were satisfied just enjoying the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from offshore while cruising steadily. Once we reached the spot, we were able to see the whales' backs and spouts several times, and I thought it was a great experience.

夫婦で参加いたしました。ホテルまで送迎があり便利でした。出発地点の港に到着すると、大きなクルーズ船に乗り込み、スタッフやキャプテンの安全の説明やくじらの生態や見るポイントなどを丁寧に説明がされたあとに、くじらホエールウォッチングが始まりました。大型船なので安定した走行の中で沖合からワイキキの街並みとダイヤモンドヘッドを眺めるだけでも満足。スポットに到達すると、くじらの背中と潮吹きを何度か見ることができ、良い体験ができたと思いました。

Twenty years ago, when I boarded, it was cramped and fully booked... The windows were small and hard to see out of, but this time I read in the reviews that the sea is clearer in the morning, so I made a reservation for the early morning. There happened to be only six of us on board... It felt like we had the place to ourselves, and my family was happy.

窓も小さくて見難かったけれど、今回は口コミを読んで朝の方が海が濁っていないとしり、朝イチで予約。
乗船したのが、たまたま6人だけで…ゆったり貸切気分で過ごせました。家族も喜んでいました。

The guides for this tour are all American, so if you don't understand English, you won't be able to enjoy it 100%. There is a Japanese audio guide available, but the guides tell a lot of jokes, so understanding them will enhance your experience.
The submarine is anchored offshore, and you will take a shuttle boat to get there. There are restrooms on the shuttle boat, so please take care of that before boarding.
At a depth of 30 meters, you can see the wreckage of fighter planes and sunken ships. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle swimming above the sunken ship. The course lasts 40 minutes, but it goes by in no time. It seems that the sea is less murky in the morning.

このツアーのガイドはすべてアメリカ人なので、英語がわからないと100%は楽しめません。日本語オーディオガイドがありますが、ガイドの話はジョークが多いので、それがわかるともっと楽しめます。
潜水艦は沖に停泊しており、そこまでシャトルボートで向かいます。トイレはシャトルボートにあるので、乗り込む前に済ませておいてください。
水深30mmで潜ると、戦闘機の残骸や沈没船が見れます。今回ラッキーなことにウミガメが沈没船の上を泳いでいました。40分のコースですが、あっという間に終了します。午前中の方が海は濁ってないみたいです。

The ship was large, so it was stable. However, it does sway a bit during movement. I took motion sickness medication in advance.
I was able to see a mother and baby whale. I could observe the spouting, back, and tail relatively close up. Since they are wild animals, I didn't expect any flashy behavior, so it met my expectations. The naturalist provided various explanations. Even those who don't understand English can enjoy it, and the staff are friendly.

大きな船なので、安定していました。ただし、移動の際はそれなりに揺れます。酔い止めをあらかじめ飲んでおきました。
クジラは親子をみることができました。潮吹きの様子や、背中、しっぽを、比較的近くで見られました。野生の生き物なので派手な行動はそもそもそんなには期待していなかったので、期待通りでした。ナチュラリストの方が色々解説してくれます。(英語)英語が分からない人でもたのしめますし、スタッフの方は感じがいいです。

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't see any whales, but I was happy to spend a relaxing time on the boat, feeling the sea breeze. The blue ocean and sky with white clouds were truly refreshing. I thought the view of Diamond Head and Waikiki from the sea was quite nice as well. Even if you can't see whales, you can receive a ticket for another trip later. If you tell the staff with the board your name, you'll get the ticket. If I had a few more days, I definitely would have liked to go again.

クジラを観ることが出来なかった為、少しガッカリしましたが、潮風に吹かれてのんびりと船で過ごせて嬉しかったです。
青い海と青い空に白い雲、本当に気持ち良かったです。
海から見るダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキもなかなか良いと思いました。
クジラを観ることが出来なくても、後日乗れる乗船券をもらうことが出来ます。
ボードを持ったスタッフに名前を伝えるとチケットをもらえます。
もう少し日にちがあったら、是非また乗りたかったです。

It was a comfortable catamaran boat. It was a bit small, but we were able to see several whales swimming perfectly. Thanks to our cheerful guide, we really enjoyed the cruise.

快適なカタマランボートでした。やや小ぶりでしたが、何頭かの鯨が泳ぐ姿もバッチリ。陽気なガイドさんのおかげでクルーズもenjoy出来ました。

Good that we can see the whale. The check in is smooth and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend. The presail information is important so that we know what we should look for. Captain Mike is awesome and friendly. Sarah is kind and good.

We were able to see whales safely, although we were a bit far away. However, the wind was strong and the waves were high, causing the boat to rock a lot. By the time we reached the whale watching point, the situation was quite tough, and honestly, it felt like we couldn't focus on seeing the whales at all. Those who don't get seasick seemed to be having a great time, but I think it's essential for those who are prone to motion sickness to take medication.

少し離れたところからではありましたが、無事にクジラは見れました。ただ風が強く、波も高かったので船がすごく揺れました。クジラが見れるポイントについた時にはかなり辛い状況で、正直クジラを見るどころではない感じでした。船酔いしない人は楽しそうにしてましたが、酔いやすい人は酔い止め必須だと思います。

I participated in the tour on February 9th. This was my third time joining this tour. The first two tours were in January, and I was very satisfied and enjoyed both, seeing whales with their young, very large tails, and spouting water. This time, I was drawn in by the "second person free" offer, but compared to the calm sailing I experienced before, the wind was strong and the boat rocked quite a bit. I thought I wouldn't need motion sickness medication based on my previous experiences, so I participated without taking any, which made me quite worried about getting seasick. My sister was also not in a state to go out on the deck, so she sat in a chair placed in the aisle on the second floor of the boat. Surprisingly, this spot turned out to be a hidden gem, as no one stood in front of us and there was nothing obstructing our view, allowing us to sit and enjoy the scenery until the end. Since I was sitting on the right side of the boat, at first, I could only see the endless horizon, the large, crashing waves, and small boats that looked like they might sink, which made me a bit anxious. However, on the way back to the port, the view of Diamond Head and the hotels in Waikiki spread out before us, and I naturally ended up taking a lot of photos. Although we didn't encounter any whales this time, the view of the Waikiki hotels from the sea is something you don't get to see often, so I recommend experiencing it at least once. Since we didn't see any whales, there will be ticket distribution for the next time, but it's only in English, so please be careful not to miss it.

2/9のツアーに参加しました。このツアーの参加は３回目になります。２回のツアーは１月でした。子供を連れたクジラやとても大きな尾ひれ、吹き上がる潮など2回ともとても満足で楽しめました。今回は2人目無料に惹かれて再びの参加でしたが、今までの穏やかな航行に比べて風も強く揺れも強く踏ん張ってもふらつくほどで、今までの経験から酔い止めは必要ないと思っていましたので飲むことなく参加してしまい船酔いしないかととても心配でした。妹もとてもデッキに出る状態ではなかったので2階の船の通路に置かれている椅子に座っていましたが、案外とこの場所が穴場で前に人が立つことなく遮るものも無かったので、最後まで座って景色を見ることができました。船の右側に座っていたので初めはどこまでも続く水平線や大きく波打ち荒れるボートや沈んでしまいそうな小舟ばかりが目に入り少し不安でしたが、港に戻る航路にはダイヤモンドヘッドやワイキキのホテル群が広がって自然と写真を撮りまくっていました。今回はクジラには出会えませんでしたが海から眺めるワイキキのホテル群はなかなか見れない景色なので一度体験してみてください。クジラに会えなかったので次回のチケット配布がありますが英語のみなので聞き逃さないように気を付けてください。

After watching the sunrise at Diamond Head, I returned to the hotel to change and then participated in the 10:30 whale watching tour. I thought I might not see any whales since it was only a two-hour trip, but I was able to see whales multiple times, although they were a bit distant on either side of the boat. It was also thanks to being on the boat that I could see Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach! It was cloudy, so it wasn't a concern, but on a sunny day, it would be wise to apply sunscreen thoroughly (the wind is strong, so hats can fly away). One point to note is that the announcements were only in English, and it was a bit unclear that I needed to sign a waiver before boarding, but other than that, I was really satisfied.

ダイヤモンドヘッドの朝日を見て、ホテルに帰って着替えてから、10時半のホエールウォッチングに参加しました。
2時間なので見えないかもと思っていましたが、船の左右で少し離れてはいましたが何度も鯨を見ることができました。
ダイヤモンドヘッドとワイキキビーチが見えるのも船に乗ったからこそ！
曇り空だったので気になりませんでしたが、快晴なら日焼け止めをしっかり塗ったほうが良さそう。（風が強いので帽子は飛んでいきます）
ただ一点、英語のアナウンスのみのため、補償契約を乗船前に書かなくてはいけないのが分かりづらかったけど、それ以外は本当に満足でした。
