The kids loved it. The ride out was fun, we saw several sea turtles swimming alongside the boat. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife was slightly disappointed that the shipwrecks were all planted by Atlantis, but there were many more varieties of sealife than I expected. Overall, we all enjoyed it. This was our most expensive activity, but I am glad that we included it. We were on the larger, newer sub and the viewing ports were better than anticipated. My kids, ages 6 to 16, all enjoyed it.

After whale watching, having a meal while enjoying Hawaiian music on a leisurely cruise is the best. Unfortunately, the whales were only small dots in the distance... However, I was able to see whales up close the day before during a dinner cruise, so I was able to accept it. It's all about timing.

ホエールウォッチングをしたあと、ゆったりとしたクルージングでハワイアンミュージックを聴きながらの食事は最高です。残念ながら、クジラは小さく見えただけでしたが・・・
実は前の日にディナークルーズに参加した時に近くでクジラを見ることができがので、あきらめがつきました。

We were able to see a mother and baby whale right after we set sail. I was surprised because I thought we wouldn't see them unless we went further offshore! Amidst the cheers of the people around us, we took lots of photos. Soon after, we spotted more whales... When we returned to the cabin, lunch was already prepared. The meal was just okay, I would say. We also got to participate in a ukulele class with the kids, which was a lot of fun.

まわりの人々の大きな歓声の中、写真もいっぱい撮りました。そのあとすぐにまた他のクジラ・・・船内に戻るともうランチの用意ができていました。食事はまあまあ、といったところでしょうか。子どもとウクレレ教室にも参加でき、楽しく過ごすことができました。

On March 26, 2010, I participated with my family of five (myself, my wife, our 14-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter, and 9-year-old son). It was a tour with lunch included but no transportation provided. We took The Bus from Waikiki to Aloha Tower. At check-in, we received a green sticker to wear on our chests, and when we arrived at the ship's entrance, a handsome man who appeared to be the captain welcomed us. I asked if we could take a picture together, but he firmly declined.

There were different entrances for those with lunch included and those without (yellow badge). We, who had the lunch included, enjoyed unlimited welcome coffee (hot) and cold water on the first floor. While seated, a vendor came around selling paid juices, but about half of the guests did not order any. After an explanation in English and a brief one in Japanese, we set sail around noon. During the explanation, seasickness medication was offered for free to those who wanted it. It was mentioned that the lunch buffet would start around 12:30, followed by activities like lei-making and hula dancing on the same floor.

After that, we had free time and went to the observation area on the third or fourth floor. There were several summer beds on the fourth floor where you could lie down. We searched for whales at the front of the fourth floor. However, it wasn't easy to spot them, and before we knew it, it was already 12:30... At that moment, an announcement came over the speaker: "A whale has appeared at 3 o'clock!" The whale spouted water into the air, and the ship erupted in cheers! When the dorsal fin became visible, there was another round of applause, and finally, when the tail fin was seen, there was yet another cheer.

It was past 12:30, and lunch had started on the first floor, but since the whale continued to appear, we decided to postpone lunch and keep watching. After about 20 minutes, we moved to the first floor and had lunch while still watching the same whale. Our seats had been assigned beforehand, and we could see the whale from our seats. Later, an announcement said, "Unfortunately, we must say goodbye to this whale as 30 minutes have passed." We were able to enjoy watching for a full 30 minutes, and our family was very satisfied.

After that, lei-making, hula dancing, and ukulele classes began. After lunch, those without lunch also entered the first-floor area, but I’m not sure if similar classes were held on the second floor. However, someone who came in said, "It's cool in here!" so the area where those without lunch were might have been hot. Additionally, we participated in lei-making during the latter part of lunch.

2010.3.26　家族５人（私、妻、長男；14歳、長女12歳、次男9歳）で参加しました。ランチ付き・送迎なしのツアーです。ワイキキからはザ・バスに乗ってアロハタワーまで行きました。チェックイン時、胸に張るシール（緑色）をもらい、船の入口に行くと船長さんらしき格好良い方がお出迎えしてくれました。そこで、写真を一緒に撮って欲しいとお願いしましたが、きっぱりと断られました。乗船はランチ付きとランチ無しコース（黄色いワッペン）で入口が異なりました。私たちランチ付きコースの人は１階でウエルカムコーヒー（ホット）と冷水が飲み放題でした。座っていると有料のジュースを売りに来ましたが半分くらいの方は頼んでいませんでした。英語の説明と日本語の簡単な説明のあと、１２時頃、出航しました。説明の際、酔い止めの薬（？）が無料で希望者に配られました。説明では１２時３０分頃からランチバイキングが始まり、その後、同じフロアーでレイ作りやフラダンスの催しが行われると言ってました。そして、自由行動となり、３階もしくは４階の展望コーナーへ行きました。４階には寝そべることができるサマーベットも数台ありました。私たちは４階の先頭で鯨を探しました。とはいえ、そう簡単に見つかるわけもなく、あっという間に１２時３０分・・・・。そのとき、放送で「３時の方向に鯨が出現！」。鯨は上空に潮を吹き、船上は大喝采！。そして背びれが見えると、また大喝采！、そして最後に尾ひれが見え、再度、大喝采がおきました。１２時３０分を過ぎており、１階ではランチが始まっていましたが、鯨が継続して現れるので家族でランチを後回しにしてずっと見てました。２０分ほど見た後、１階に移動し、ランチを食べながら同じ鯨を見ました。席は始めに決められており、席からも鯨を見ることが出来ました。その後、放送で「３０分が経過したため残念ですがこの鯨とお別れです。」という放送が流れました。３０分、たっぷり鑑賞でき、家族一同、大満足でした。その後、レイ作りやフラダンス、ウクレレ教室が始まりました。ランチ終了後、ランチ無しの方々も１階のフロアーに入ってきましたが、２階でも同様な教室が開けれていたのかどうかはわかりません。しかし、入ってきた方が、「ここは涼しい！」って言っていたのでランチなしの方が居るフロアは暑かったのかもしれません。また、私たちはランチ後半からレイ作りな

I definitely want to participate again! The boat was fast and it was so much fun. The staff really helped to create a lively atmosphere. The moment I saw a dolphin's fin right in front of me was just moving. From what I gather from blogs and such, it seems like it wasn't a "too wonderful situation," but it was still very touching. The turtles also made an appearance. The blue sea, the coastline, and the sun were just breathtaking. My mother, who can't swim, was with us and she was quite happy. (Although it seemed she struggled a bit after jumping into the sea and drinking a lot of seawater, she didn't say she wouldn't go again; instead, she renewed her determination to go again!) It was that refreshing. You can enjoy colorful fish up close while snorkeling, feeling like you're swimming in an aquarium. I highly recommend it for families with children. While wind protection is necessary on the boat, our family had a great time without needing to rent wetsuits.

また絶対に参加したいと思います!!
ボートもスピードがあり、楽しかったー。
スタッフももちろん盛り上げてくれました。
目の前にイルカのヒレが見えた瞬間なんて、もう、感動です。ブログ等から察するに、「素晴らしすぎる状況」ではなかったように思いますが、十分感動します。
カメもちゃんと姿を見せてくれたし。
あの蒼い海と海岸線と太陽でもう、やられます。
泳げない母も一緒でしたが、かなり喜んでました。
（海へ飛び込んだ際に海水をずいぶん飲んで苦しんだようでしたが、二度と行かない、と言わないばかりか、また行く!!の決意を新たにしていました）
それほどにリフレッシュさせてくれます。
シュノーケリングでも色鮮やかなサカナを間近に堪能できます。水族館を泳いでいる気分になれるくらいです。
子どもさんのいるファミリーにはかなりオススメです。
ボートの上での風対策は必要ですが、私たち家族はウェットスーツを借りることも無く楽しめました。

I think children in upper elementary school and above can enjoy various activities. Interacting with dolphins is something you don't often find elsewhere! I expected it to be larger in scale, but there are so many attractions that you still need more than half a day to see everything properly.

小学校高学年以上ならいろいろ楽しめると思います。イルカと触れ合うなんて他ではなかなかなさそうですよ＾＾
規模的にはもっと大きいところかと予想していましたが、ちゃんと見るにはそれでも半日以上必要なほど見所一杯です。

Diving to the real seabed in a submarine... There are no particularly dangerous aspects or training required, so it's safe for families with small children to participate. On the ferry to the dive point, we even encountered dolphins, which was a nice surprise. The view on the water is great too! 😊

本当の海底に潜水艦で潜る・・・
特に危険なことも、トレーニングもありませんので、小さな子供連れでも安心して参加できます。ダイブポイントまでの連絡船では偶然とはいえイルカ達にも遭遇しました。洋上の景色もグーですね＾＾

This time, it was a trial with my 14-year-old daughter, 9-year-old son, and dad. The mom, who loves dolphins more than anyone, decided to focus on taking photos. However, I later found out that all the photos and videos were taken by the park staff from the best positions, so it was fine for everyone in the family to participate without anyone having to focus on filming. Mom was fired up for a "rematch next time!"

Just making eye contact with the dolphin NANI felt healing.

My 9-year-old son was surprised by the mischievous NANI, but he was overjoyed to be able to swim with it on his stomach.

(However, after my son, the dad surprised the dolphin by trying to ride it after the boy, causing it to stop. But after regaining its composure, it properly let him ride and swim.)

It's definitely something that everyone can enjoy with family and friends, so put down the camera and let's try!

今回は、１４歳の長女と９歳の長男とパパがトライ。
誰よりもイルカ好きのママは、撮影班に専念することに。
でも、後で判ったことだけど、写真もビデオも全て、ベストポジションからパークのスタッフが撮ってくれているので、誰かが撮影に専念しなくとも、家族全員でのトライでも大丈夫。
ママは「次回こそは!」とリベンジに燃えていました。

イルカのNANIの目が合うだけで、心が癒される感じ。

９歳の長男も、いたずら好きのNANIに驚かされたけど、お腹に乗せて泳いでもらって大喜び。

(でも、長男の後のパパには、男の子の後に「大きなおじさん」を乗せるのに、イルカも驚いて止まってしまったけれど。気を取り直して、ちゃんと乗せて泳いでくれました。)

是非、家族や友達と全員で楽しめるので、カメラを置いて、Let's Try!です。

I had heard that you can't see them up close on Oahu, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was able to see breaching at very close range!!

At first, I only saw a little bit of spouting and the back of the whale, but suddenly there was a big jump right next to the boat! It was like a scene from a TV show happening right in front of me, and the other guests were also very excited, cheering and clapping.

Even the staff who are on board every day said it's a rare occurrence to see it once every week or two, so I felt really lucky.

Of course, the whale watching was amazing, but the lunch buffet had everything from salads to meat, fruits, and desserts. We also enjoyed hula and ukulele lessons, and a cruise with a view of Waikiki and Diamond Head all at once. I think it’s a very worthwhile tour.

The announcements were in both English and Japanese, and all the staff were friendly, which made me very satisfied!

I definitely want to participate again! ♪

オアフ島ではそれほど近くでは見れないと聞いていたので、
あまり期待してませんでしたが、
至近距離でのブリーチングが見れました！！

最初は潮吹きや背中がちらっと見えたりする程度でしたが、
突然船のすぐ横で大きなジャンプ！
テレビで見るようなシーンが目の前で起こって、
他のお客さんたちも大興奮、拍手喝さいで盛り上がりました。

毎日乗船しているスタッフの人でも
1，2週間に1度見れるか見れないかの珍しいことだそうで、
すごくラッキーでした。

ホエールウォッチングはもちろん、
サラダからお肉、フルーツやデザートまでそろったランチビュッフェ、
フラやウクレレ、レイメイキングのレッスン、
ワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッドが一望できるクルージングがいっぺんに楽しめて
とってもお得なツアーだと思います。

アナウンスも英語と日本語の両方であったし、
スタッフの人たちもみんなフレンドリーで、大満足！

是非また参加したいです♪

I wish the whales had been more active. Whales aside. The food was great. The boat was unique. The water was incredible. An all round good afternoon.

The submarine was comfortable, but the children got seasick during the boat ride before boarding the submarine. The same happened on the way back. It might be better to take motion sickness medication in advance.

I participated in the Japanese language tour. The guide's Japanese was perfect, and the staff's response was good, making for a pleasant experience. However, compared to when I rode in Guam ten years ago, the clarity of the water and the number of fish were lacking. Those who have experienced it in Guam might feel a bit disappointed if they go with the same expectations. I think first-timers will enjoy it enough.

潜水艦は快適でしたが、潜水艦に乗る前の船での移動で子供たちが酔ってしまいました。帰りも同様。
事前に酔い止めを飲んでおいたほうが良いかもしれません。

日本語時間に乗りました。ガイドさんの日本語は完璧、スタッフの対応も良く、気持ちよく参加できました。
ただ、10年前にグアムで乗った時と比べると海の透明度も魚の数も負けてます。グアムで乗ったことある人は同じ感覚で行くとちょっとがっかりします。初めての人は十分楽しめると思います。

My wife and I went on the Atlantis sub on Ohau. Transportation was on time. Your riding a boat out to the Sub. The sub doesn't come to the docks. We saw 3 sea turtles, 1 shark, 1 eel and countless diffierent types of fish. There is a depth guage up from by the captain. I'm not sure how deep it got but the deepest I saw was 84 feet. Temp was comfortable. It didn't rock like a boat. Very stable. The pressure didn't compress it. The ears never poped like an airplane. Very nice ride. I recemend it. Turn your flash off on the camera. Glass is so thick that even angle PICs gives flash back. Just turn off the flash.

It was an early morning tour, but my child was full of anticipation to meet the dolphins! Surprisingly, we quickly spotted a pod of dolphins. At first, my child was sulking because they couldn't use the snorkel well, but they persevered to see the dolphins. We were truly satisfied to see so many dolphins up close.

Also, the sea turtles were unexpectedly cute! Despite the presence of people, they approached us. When my child popped their head above the water, they came face to face with a sea turtle, and it was quite a surprise, but it seems to have become the most enjoyable memory in Hawaii.

朝早いツアーでしたが、子どもはイルカに会えると期待満々!!意外にもすぐにイルカの群れを発見。シュノーケルがうまく使えずに初めはむくれていた子どももイルカ見たさにがんばりました。本当にたくさんのイルカを間近でみることができ大満足です。
また海がめが意外にかわいい!!人がいるにもかかわらず近寄ってきました。子どもが海面に顔を出すと同時に海がめとご対面、かなりびっくりしてましたがハワイで一番楽しい思い出になったようです。

I participated on February 21.

We joined as a family, but I was the only one who couldn't swim well, so I felt a bit anxious. However, I was drawn to the campaign where if four people participated, it would cost the price of three.

When we set off, my daughter was overjoyed with the speedboat! We saw the tail of a whale diving, discovered dolphins, and put on our snorkels and fins to jump in. Since it was my first experience with both snorkeling and fins, it was quite challenging. I could barely float, but the instructor helped me, and I was able to see the dolphins safely. Unfortunately, I borrowed a prescription snorkel, but it didn't fit well, and my vision was always a bit blurry, which was disappointing. My husband switched it for me partway through, and that one fit better.

This time, we couldn't go to the tropical fish spot, possibly due to the waves, which was a shame. We swam a lot with the dolphins instead, but it was a bit long for me as a beginner, and I got tired.

However, we were all satisfied to see the dolphins up close. If I could wish for anything, it would be to have time to check the condition of the snorkel...

I wonder if I can do a little better next time?

２月２１日に参加しました。

私たちはファミリーで参加でしたが、私だけが、うまく泳ぐことが出来ず、少々不安ながら、キャンペーンで、4人参加すると、3人分の金額になるところに惹かれ申し込みました。

いざ出発、娘は、高速ボートにもとっても大喜び！！
くじらのダイビングの尻尾も見れ、イルカを発見し、シュノーケルとフィンを装着して、飛び込みます。
なにしろ、シュノーケルもフィンも初体験なので、やっぱり大変。浮かぶのが精一杯なところ、インストラクターさんが手を引っ張ってくれて、無事イルカを見ることができました。
ただ、度付きシュノーケルを借りたのですが、どうもうまくフィットせず、視界が終始ボーっとしてたのが、残念
途中、主人が取り替えてくれたのですが、そちらのほうがまだフィットしてましたね

今回は波があったせいか、熱帯魚のスポットにいかれなかったのも、残念。その分いるかとたくさん泳いだのですが、初心者の私には、ちょっと長くて、疲れました。

でも、いるかを近くで見れ、みんな満足しました。
欲をいえば、シュノーケルの状態を確認する時間があれば・・・・

次回は、もう少し上手にできるかな？

On the day of the reservation, there was a tsunami warning in Honolulu due to an earthquake in Chile. Transportation in the city was halted in preparation for the tsunami. I called the staff and was able to reschedule for the next day. I was relieved that there were staff members who spoke Japanese.

As for the whales, I was glad to see several of them. The kids were very excited, and I was satisfied with that. However, the lunch package was a bit chaotic; with the announcement of "There are whales!" everyone was too distracted to enjoy the meal, so it might be better to go without lunch.

予約当日、チリの地震の影響でホノルルは津波警報。市内は津波に備え交通もストップ。スタッフに電話して翌日に振り替えてもらいました。日本語ＯＫなスタッフで安心しました。
肝心のクジラですが、数頭見ることができてよかったです。子供も大興奮、これには満足です。ただしランチ付きのコースは「クジラがいた!」とのアナウンスで食事そっちのけで右へ左へで落ち着かないのでランチなしがいいかも…。

It was unfortunate that the weather was bad, but I was excited to search for dolphins, enjoyed the thrill of the boat ride, and finally got to see the dolphins! I was able to see them quite closely, and I also got to see wild dolphins up close while snorkeling. They passed by in the blink of an eye, but even when they were out of sight, I could hear their sounds, which was mystical. I was also happy to see sea turtles. I went alone, but I had fun talking with the staff and other customers.

天気が悪かったのが残念でしたが、ドキドキしながらイルカを探し、その間はボートのスリルを楽しみ、やっとイルカに会えました！
結構近くで見れたし、シュノーケルでも近くで自然のイルカを見ることができました。あっという間に通り過ぎてしまいますが、見えなくても声が聞こえたりして、神秘的でした。
海ガメもみれて嬉しかったです。
ひとりで行きましたが、スタッフやほかのお客さんと話したりして楽しかったです。

I went on February 18. It was early in the morning and I was sleepy, but the weather was nice and perfect for seeing dolphins.

All the participants were Japanese. The staff spoke Japanese well (there were also Japanese staff), so I had no trouble with conversations at all.

When we went out to sea, other tours (like Dolphin University) were already lined up to see dolphins, so we explored the sea in the meantime.

And then, there was a whale!! Someone from our tour spotted a whale under the boat. It was so exciting. We were able to see a whale spouting water several times up close afterward, which was amazing. The staff said that this was quite rare.

To swim with the dolphins, we went close to them by boat and then dove into the sea! However, since they were moving, it was difficult to swim right next to them. But on my second try, I was able to swim close enough to see them clearly.

The waves were rough, so the sea turtles were swimming near the bottom, but I was able to see them. Unfortunately, there were no fish. The boat ride was fast and really fun.

And since it was winter, it was cold. A wetsuit is essential. I thought about only bringing small change, but I was glad I heard in advance that I would need $10. After getting wet, it was cold to move against the wind, so something to wear over was necessary.

One person got seasick, so if you're worried about that, it might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication beforehand.

Overall, I was satisfied because I was able to see both the whale and the sea turtles. I even bought the DVD.

２月１８日に行きました。
朝早くて眠かったですが、お天気もよくいるか日和★

参加者はみんな日本人でした。スタッフの方も日本語が上手で（日本人もいました）会話には全然困りませんでした。

海に出ると既に他のツアー（イルカ大学など）がイルカを見るために並んでいたのでその間に海を散策。

と、クジラがいました！！
同じツアーの人が船の下にいるクジラも発見。大興奮でした。その後も数回潮を吹くクジラが近くで見られ、大感激。
スタッフの人もこんなことは珍しいといっていました。

イルカと泳ぐのは近くまで船で行って海へダイブ！するのですがやっぱり動いているのですぐ近くで泳ぐのは難しかったです。
が、２回目のトライで目視できるほど近くで泳いでいました。

波が荒かったので海がめも底の方を泳いでいましたが見れました。魚は残念ながらいませんでした。
ボートのライドはスピードがあってすごく楽しかったです。

そしてやっぱり冬だったので寒かった。ウエットスーツ必須です。お金は小銭しかもって行かないでおこうと思っていましたが、１０ドルいると事前に聞いたおかげで助かりました。
ぬれた後は風を切って進むのが寒いので羽織るものなど必要ですね。

１人酔われた方もみえたので、不安な方は酔い止め飲んでおいた方が良いかもしれません。

トータルではクジラもいるかも海がめも見れたので満足です。DVDも買っちゃいました。

Me and my family had a wonderful time on board the Star of Honolulu, despite my son being seasick due to the south swells! Charmaine, who was absolutely wonderful, gave my son some medicine and she was very attentive towards our needs and checking up on us to assure he was o.k.. Nana, another staff member also helped my 4 year old daughter make leis! We did see some whales and some dolphins. Food was good, service was great! Hopefully next time we do this, my son wont be so sick!

I have been to Hawaii several times, but this was my first time participating.
I was so moved to see a whale jump right in front of me!
I was able to see it multiple times, it was the best!
I also got to make a fresh flower lei, and it was really nice to wear it for photos at the party the next day.
The food was delicious too.

I want to participate again. Thank you!

I wanted to go to the North Shore to see the big waves and the surfing scenes, but instead, I joined a shark tour.

I get seasick, I don't like water, and I can't swim. I've been scared of sharks since middle school, so I usually avoid the ocean. However, I’m glad I went, even though I got seasick, dislike water, and can't swim!

Even if you're just observing, it's perfectly fine, so if you're not comfortable wearing a swimsuit, that's okay. You can enjoy seeing the fins and large shapes from the boat.

I recommend bringing an underwater camera, which you can find at ABC Stores; they sell them for around $13, while on the boat, they cost $15.

Once you're on the boat, all conversations are in English, haha. Even if you don't understand everything, please pay attention to the safety instructions. They will give you a booklet with instructions in Japanese, so make sure to read it.

The staff, both the older man and the younger guy, are really friendly. You’ll go into the water for 20 minutes at a time, and there are safety instructions for that, so be sure to check. They provide snorkeling gear, but I thought just the goggles would be enough for me since I’ve never used them before and found them cumbersome.

My friend is a very good swimmer, and after diving, he said he was close enough to the sharks that he thought about reaching out to touch them. There were definitely sharks that were over 3 meters long swimming around. They were calmly attacking the bait thrown by the staff.

Despite being someone who struggles with everything, I had a lot of fun. I was clinging to the cage because I was scared, so my arms are incredibly sore now. I’m thinking of booking this tour again when I go to Hawaii. I don’t think there are many tours like this in Japan, so I highly recommend it.

The ocean is incredibly beautiful, the scenery is great, and the sharks are huge. It was a really good experience.

I would advise against bringing small children. The same goes for anyone with heart issues; the water is cold, and seeing the sharks might be shocking. The boat moves quite fast, so if you're going during a cooler season, I recommend bringing a thick jacket.

Next time I go, I plan to practice getting used to the cold water.

ノースショアに行きたかったのは、高波とサーフィンの情景をを見に・・・思っていたのですが、サメツアーに参加です。

私は船酔いするし水が嫌い、もちろん泳げないし中学以来サメが怖いから海に行かない奴なんですが、これは！船酔いしても水が嫌いでも泳げなくても行って良かったです。

見学だけでもＯＫですので、水着はどうも嫌と思う方でも大丈夫、船の上からヒレや大きな姿が存分に楽しめます。

ＡＢＣストアなどに水中用カメラが売っているので御持参されることをお勧めします、船内15ドル・ＡＢＣ13ドル前後。

船に乗ったら会話はすべて英語ｗ
分からないなりにも注意事項はよく聞いていてください、日本語の注意事項冊子を渡されるので読んで下さい。

スタッフのおじさんとお兄さんは凄くフレンドリーです。
1回20分海に入ります、入る時の注意事項もあるので要チェック。シュノーケルは貸してくれますが、私は水中眼鏡だけでいいなと思いました。使った事無いので邪魔で邪魔で。

友人は泳ぎがかなり上手いため潜水したあと、「手を伸ばして触ろうかと思った」ほど近くまでサメがよってきています。　本当に３mはゆうにある子達がウヨウヨ。
おじさんが投げる餌に悠然と襲い掛かってました。

何もかも苦手な私がなんかとっても楽しかった、確かに苦手だったので檻にしがみ付いていた為、腕が物凄く筋肉痛です。ハワイに行くときはまた予約しようかなと思います。
日本ではなかなかこういったツアーは無いと思うのでお勧めです。

海が物凄くきれい、景色も良い、サメもでかい
とてもいい経験でした。

小さいお子さんは止めた方がいいでしょう。
心臓が悪い方も同様、水が冷たいしサメ見たらショックかも。
船がかなり高速で動くので気温が低い時期は厚手の上着を持参された方がいいと思います。


今度行く時は冷たい水につかる練習して行こうと思います。

I can't swim at all, but I thought that if I wore a life jacket, I would float. I figured that if I put on a snorkel, I could manage to breathe somehow. After all, swimming with wild dolphins and encountering sea turtles is something you can't do every day, right? I was so excited that right after signing up, I even dreamed about swimming with dolphins.

On the day of the event, I had just arrived in Hawaii the day before, so waking up early was tough. But for the dolphins and sea turtles, it was worth it! By the way, the staff from Dolphin Middle School even gave us a morning call! On the bus ride there, we listened to explanations and once we arrived at the port, we rented wet suits and put them on right there, ready to go. As soon as we left the port, there were dolphins!

To get into the sea, we had to put on fins and snorkels, and one by one, jump in from the back of the boat. I was scared to jump in since I can't swim... But I was pushed to hurry, so I steeled myself and jumped in. From that moment, I panicked and couldn't focus on learning from the dolphins. I couldn't keep up with everyone and was just trying to stay afloat in the water. At first, I clung to my husband, but then suddenly, I found myself being pulled along by Yuriko, the instructor and class member for that day, who was holding my hand!

She guided me to the dolphins, allowing me to swim along with her (＾＾) I was so moved! It felt like I was in a dream. But this was all thanks to Yuriko! Without her support, I might have just floundered in the sea (＾＾； I am incredibly grateful! Thank you! I was also impressed by how attentive she was. She wasn't just an accompanying instructor; she provided solid support and was very observant. Amazing! I was thrilled by the dolphins, but I was equally touched by Yuriko's support☆ She quickly remembered the names of everyone on the tour, and two days later, I was surprised when she called out to me in town (＞＿＜).

Anyway, I got sidetracked... After swimming with the dolphins, we returned to the boat and headed to the next spot. This time, we went to meet the sea turtles☆ Here too, we...

私は、まったく泳げないんですがライフジャケットつければ浮くし。
シュノーケルつければ、息継ぎもなんとかなるだろうと言う考えで申し込みました。
だって、野生のイルカと泳げてウミガメにも出会えるなんて、普通じゃできないでしょ？
すごい楽しみで仕方なくて、申し込んだ直後にイルカと泳いでる夢見ちゃったりして。

当日、ハワイに着いた次の日だったので早起きは辛かったですけど。
イルカとウミガメのためなら、なんのその！
ちなみに、イルカ中学のスタッフの方がモーニングコールもしてくれます！！
行きのバスの中で、説明等を聞き。
港に着いて、ウエットスーツをレンタルしてその場で着て、いざ出陣。
港を出てすぐにもうイルカ先生がいるの！！

で、海へと繰り出すには、足ひれとシュノーケルをつけ、ボートの後ろから順番に、つるんっと飛び込むんだけど。
泳げない私、飛び込むのも怖くて。。
でも、早く！と押されるので、意を決して飛び込みました。
もう、その時からパニックで、イルカ先生から学ぶ所じゃなくなった私。
到底、みんなにも着いていけないし、海の中にいるのに精一杯。
始めは、旦那にしがみついてたけど、ふっと急にぐいぐい引っ張られるように泳ぐ私。
あれ？と思ったら、なんとその日のインストラクターであり学級員でもあるYurikoさんが私の手を握って泳いでくれてるではありませんか！！

イルカ先生の所にぐいぐい連れて行ってくれるので、追いかけるように一緒に泳ぐことができました（＾＾）
もう、ちょー感激！！夢の中にいるみたいで。
でも、これも学級員のYurikoさんのお陰です！あのサポートが無かったら、海でもがいて終了だったかもです（＾＾；
すごいとっても感謝☆ありがとう！
というか、よく見てるな~と思いました。
ただ、付き添うインストラクターではなくサポートをしっかりしてくれるし、よく気がつくし。すごい！！
イルカにも大感激だったけど。Yurikoさんのサポートにも感激でした☆
ツアーに参加している人の名前もすぐに覚えてくれて、ツアー後２日経って、町中で声かけられたのにはびっくりしちゃいましたよ（＞＿＜）

今度はウミガメ先生に会いにいきました☆

On the day, the wind was strong and there were splashes from the waves, making it difficult to see the whales' spouts clearly. However, there were many activities on the boat, such as lei-making and hula lessons, which kept the children entertained, and we had a great time. My child continued to practice the hula we learned even after returning to Japan.

当日は風が強く、波しぶきが立っていたので鯨の潮吹きがわかりにくく、あまり良く見えなかったのですが、船内でのレイの作成やフラレッスンなど、子供が飽きない催しも多く、大変楽しめました。
子供は日本に帰ってからも教えていただいたフラを家でやっていました。

My wife and I had a wonderful time , especially at the sub tour. Our guide was great! Wish we could have seen a few things out of the ordinary, such as mantas or turtles, but still some incredible sights to see!!!

I read that some people get seasick before boarding the submarine, so I took motion sickness medication in advance. However, depending on the weather on the day, it might not be necessary. In Hawaii, there are hardly any fish in areas without reefs, which was disappointing because the seawater wasn't as clear as I expected. However, I was lucky enough to encounter about 5 or 6 sea turtles, which some people might not get to see! I recommend sitting in the front on the right side facing the direction of travel for the best position.

潜水艦に乗り移る前の船で船酔いするとの書き込みがあったので事前に酔い止めの薬を飲んで参加しましたが、当日の天候によってはその必要は無いかもしれませんね、ハワイの海は魚礁のないところにはほとんど魚がいないんですね、海水が思っていた程澄んでいないのが残念でしたが、遭遇できない方もいらっしゃるという海亀に５~６匹も会えました（ラッキー！）
ベストポジションは進行方向右側の前の方の席がお薦めです。

It was a big boat... so I was a bit anxious, but my intuition was right.

I recommend it for those who get seasick or are going whale watching for the first time! Since it's a large boat, you can relax comfortably on board.

However, for those who just want to see whales, a slightly smaller boat might be better.

It's great for those who want to enjoy meals and hula lessons!

As for me... I don't get seasick, so I found it a bit lacking...

大きな船・・・。というので、ちょっと不安がありましたが・・・。予感的中でした。

船に酔う方や、初めてホエールウォッチングをされる方には、オススメですよ!!大きな船ですので、船の上でゆっくりとすごせます。

が、鯨を見たいだけの方には、もう少し小さい船のほうがよいかな~とおもいます。

食事やフラレッスンなどを楽しみたい方にはオススメですね!!

私は・・・。船には酔わないので、ちょっと物足りなかったです・・・。

I participated with a friend on February 4th. I had heard that whales can only be seen in the winter, so I thought it was a great opportunity and signed up. According to the captain, they have been able to see them almost every day recently, so we were looking forward to the trip. Both my friend and I are prone to seasickness, so we brought medication from Japan. There were courses that included meals, but anticipating that eating might make us feel sick, we deliberately chose the most economical option without meals; however, drinks were included, so it turned out to be a good choice.

As for the whales, unfortunately, we didn't see any jumping up close, but during the two-and-a-half-hour cruise, we were able to see their backs several times as they spouted water and dove, which was very moving. The view of Waikiki from the boat was also beautiful. However, it was much windier on the boat than expected, and it was very cold, so I definitely recommend bringing a long-sleeved hoodie that blocks the wind. Even so, when it got too cold, it felt nice to go up to the upper deck where the sun was warm.

２月４日に友達と２人で参加しました。クジラは冬の時期しか見られないと聞いていたので、良いチャンスだと思い申し込みました。船長さんの話では最近はほぼ毎日見る事が出来るという事でしたので、楽しみにして出発しました。私も友人もとても船酔いしやすい体質なので、薬は日本から持参しました。食事付などのコースもありましたが、食べると気分が悪くなる事を予測して、あえて一番お得な食事無しのコースにしましたが、飲み物は付いているので結果的には良かったと思います。
肝心のクジラは残念ながらすぐ近くでジャンプ、とは行きませんでしたが、２時間半のクルーズの間何度も塩を吹いたり潜ったりする背中を見る事ができてとても感動しました。船の上から見るワイキキもとてもキレイでした。ただ船の上は予想以上に風が吹いて非常に寒いので風を通さない長袖のパーカーなどを持っていく事を是非オススメします。それでも寒い時はいっそ屋上階に出てしまった方がお日様がぽかぽか当たって気持ちが良かったですよ。

On February 5th, I went whale watching for the first time and was able to see a pod of five whales and one whale twice!

I was worried about getting seasick, but once I spotted the whales, I was so excited that I completely forgot about it and had a blast! The pod of five whales swam slowly alongside the boat just ten minutes after we set sail, off the coast of Aloha Tower. According to the naturalist's explanation, it's rare to see five whales together like that?!

After observing the pod for about 30 minutes, we moved to another location to search for the next whale, which was time for a lunch buffet. I filled up on everything from salad to chicken, roast beef, fruit, and dessert! After lunch, I had the experience of making a lei with plumeria flowers.

Since I was full and had enjoyed a cultural experience, I thought I’d take a moment to enjoy the view outside, and suddenly, a whale jumped out of the water!!! It leaped four or five times, splashing as it performed!

I was moved by the whales' dynamic performance, and I had a wonderful time with the cultural experience as well. Next time, I’ll go with my family and friends!

2月5日に初めてホエールウォッチングに、５頭のクジラの群れと１頭のクジラ、２回見ることができました！

船酔いの心配もあったんだけど、クジラを見つけて大興奮していたら、そんなことすっかり忘れておおはしゃぎ☆
５頭からなるクジラの群れは、出港してから１０分ととたたないうち、アロハタワーの沖合いで船の横をゆ~っくりと泳いでいました。ナチュラリストさんの説明によると５頭一緒に見かけるのは珍しいのだとか？！
３０分くらいクジラの群れを観察してから、次のクジラを探しに場所を移動するとのことだったので、お昼ご飯ビュッフェに。
サラダからチキン、ローストビーフ、果物、デザートまでおなかいっぱいに！
ランチの後は、プルメリアでレイ作りを体験♪
おなかもいっぱいになったし、カルチャー体験もしたから、ちょっと外で景色でも見ようかなっと思って景色を眺めていたらクジラが大ジャンプ！！！４、５回水しぶきを上げて大ジャンプを披露してくれました！

クジラのダイナミックなパフォーマンスに感動できたし、カルチャー体験もできたし、と~っても楽しませていただきました。今度は家族や友達と一緒にいきます！

I'm sure it could have been a fun experience, but I only saw part of a whale and you could barely see it. The crew was very nice and made the ride enjoyable but I didn't really see any whales.

I participated on January 22. I thought it might be too early to see much, so I expected to only catch a glimpse from a distance, but I was thrilled to see it up close multiple times! Various groups appeared all around, and the staff mentioned that it was rare to see so many up close, so I felt very lucky. My daughter seemed to enjoy searching for whales too, and she was excited when she spotted one over there! On the way back, my husband took a ukulele lesson while my daughter and I had fun making leis. My husband had learned a bit of ukulele before, so he was happy to have a mini concert with the teacher at the end. The view of Diamond Head and Waikiki from the ocean was amazing, and we created many wonderful memories. I'm glad we participated.

1月22日に参加しました。
少し時期が早いので遠くで見れる程度かなぁと思っていたけど、すぐ近くで何度も見れて大興奮でした！
色んな集団があちこちに出現し、スタッフの方が「こんなに沢山近くで見れるのは珍しい」と言っていたけど、大変ラッキーでした。
娘はクジラを探すのも楽しかったみたいで、あっちにいたぁ！と見つけたときは嬉しかったみたいです。
帰りには、主人はウクレレのレッスン、私と娘はレイを作って楽しかったです。
主人は少しだけウクレレを習ったことがあるので、最後にウクレレの先生と一緒に発表会ができ、嬉しかったようです。
海から見るダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキの景色もサイコーでしたし、いい思い出が沢山でき、参加して良かったです。

Actually, it's called a briefing, but in the beginning, there were cheers just from seeing a part of the whale. When a jump happened, there was an overwhelming cheer and excitement. While waiting for the next jump, people nearby were getting excited together, creating a strange sense of solidarity during the pleasant cruising experience. Luckily, I was able to see about eight jumps. On the way back from whale watching, there were activities like making flower arrangements and hula lessons, making it a very enjoyable cruise.

本当は　ブリーフィングとか言うらしいのですが　最初のころは　クジラの一部が見えただけで歓声が上がっていましたが　ジャンプが出た時の大歓声と大興奮　次のジャンプを　今か今かと待つ間にも　近くの人同士でも　盛り上がり　不思議な連帯感のような　和やかなクルージングの中　ラッキーにも８回ぐらい　見ることが出来ました。ホエールウオッチングの帰りの船中では　生花でのレイ作りやフラのレッスンとかが有り　とても楽しいクルージングです。
