The conditions were windy with high waves, so it felt like an experience similar to Splash Mountain... I was able to see the whale's spray and tail, and on the way back, I was also able to see dolphins and honu, which was great. I couldn't take any photos, but the views of Honolulu and the departing airplanes were full of highlights, and the captain's guided announcements were entertaining.

風が強くて波も高いと言うコンディションでしたのでスプラッシュマウンテンのような体験出来ました…

I participated in mid-February!
It was rainy, but thanks to that, it wasn't too hot, and I was able to look for whales from the deck.

During the ride to the meeting point, the guide talked a lot about the area and sightseeing, making the trip enjoyable.

On the boat, we were served delicious original cake and coffee before departure, which served as a nice breakfast. The original pineapple banana cake was moist and tasty.

During the whale watching, the guide indicated where the whales were based on the direction of the clock, so there was a high probability of seeing whales multiple times.

Not only did we see whales, but we were also lucky enough to see sea turtles up close!

The view from the boat was also amazing, and I was moved by the beauty of Diamond Head and the horizon.

It became a wonderful memory, and I am very satisfied.

2月中旬に参加しました！
雨模様だったのですがそのおかげで暑すぎることなく、デッキでクジラを探すことが出来ました。

お迎えの車中ではガイドさんがエリアや観光についてたくさん話して下さり、移動も楽しかったです。

船では美味しいオリジナルケーキとコーヒーが出港前に食べられるので、朝ごはん代わりになりました。オリジナルのパイナップルバナナケーキはしっとりしてて美味しかったです。

ホエールウォッチングの最中は時計の方向でクジラがどこにいるかを教えてくれるので殆どの確率で何度かクジラを見ることが出来ます。

クジラだけではなくウミガメも近くで見ることが出来たのでとても幸運でした！

そして船上からの景色も素晴らしく、ダイヤモンドヘッドや水平線の美しさに感動しました。

とても素敵な思い出になり、満足です。

Had an amazing trip. Kind and friendly, locally owned and operated. Would highly recommend.

I took TheBus to the meeting point. It was $7 round trip (since it's $7 for unlimited rides in a day). It's necessary to check in advance how to ride TheBus and how to find routes (you can find bus stops using Google). Upon arriving at the meeting point, you will present your voucher (which is sent via email after booking) for check-in.

Once on board, there was an unlimited supply of fruit cake and coffee (though I couldn't eat that much). As for finding whales, the spouts are a good indicator. I witnessed a few spouts, but they rarely appeared above the water. I participated with the image from the last attached photo in mind, but this time we only managed to see the tail fin to some extent during the whale watching.

集合場所にはTheBusで行きました。往復＄7でOKです（一日＄7で乗り放題なので）。TheBusの乗り方や経路（Googleでバス停が案内可能です）の調べ方は事前に確認が必要です。集合場所に到着するとバウチャー（予約完了後にメールで送られる）を提示して受付となります。
乗船後はフルーツケーキやコーヒーなどは食べ放題、飲み放題でした（そんなに食べられませんが）。クジラの探し方としては、潮吹きが目印となります。何回か潮吹きを目撃しましたが、海上に現れることは少なかったです。添付の最後の写真をイメージして参加しましたが、今回は尾びれを確認できる程度のウォッチング結果でした。

I was looking for activities to do in Hawaii with my 3-year-old, and I thought this would be a good option, so I made a reservation.

First, we took a larger boat to the diving point. During the ride, they pointed out things like, "Look, they're doing whale watching over there!" which made the journey enjoyable! We were also lucky to catch a glimpse of a sea turtle. My child had a great time.

Once we were in the submarine, we spent about 45 minutes underwater. While the adults enjoyed it, my active 3-year-old got a bit bored halfway through, and we ended up showing him a video for the last 10 minutes... (laughs)

However, for the first 15 minutes, he was excitedly saying things like, "The fish are waving at me!" I think it was a memorable experience for him since he even reenacted it during bath time when we got home!

Our family is an international marriage family living abroad, so English wasn't an issue for us. The guide was cheerful and shared jokes and interesting facts, which made it enjoyable, but those who are not confident in English might feel a bit left out. I heard that Japanese audio can be downloaded, but it might not always match what the guide is saying.

Overall, I think it was an activity that families with children can enjoy!

今回3歳連れで、ハワイでできるアクティビティを探していて、これはいいんじゃないかなと思って予約しました。

まず潜水ポイントまで、大きめの船で行きます。その時にも、結構「あそこでクジラウォッチングやってるよ、ほらあの方向」とか結構教えてくれて、その道のりも楽しみました！海亀もチラッと見えてとてもラッキーでした。子供もとても楽しんでいました。

潜水艦に潜ってからは45分ほど。大人は楽しめるのですが、うちの3歳動きたい坊やは途中でちょっと飽きてしまって、残り10半のところでビデオを見せることになってしまいました、、笑

でも初めの15分は「お魚さんが手振ってるー」とか言って楽しんでいる様子でした。
家に帰ってからもそれをお風呂で再現したりしているので、きっと心に残った経験だったんだろうなと思っています！

我が家は国際結婚ファミリーで、海外在住なので英語は問題なかったのですが、ガイドが陽気な方で、ジョークをとばしたりうんちくを言ってくれるので、楽しめましたが英語が苦手な方は置いてけぼり感があるかもしれません。日本語オーディオがダウンロードできるとのことでしたが、ガイドが話していることとは必ずしも一致しないと思います。

総じて、子連れで楽しめるアクティビティだったと思います！

viewing was a bit foggy on the day we were there, but overall good time

The purpose is to see whales, but it's quite difficult to find them. When we finally spot one, cheers erupt, and we rush over in that direction to look for it. Since it's nature we're dealing with, it's understandable, but we were able to see a spout, a back, and a tail in the distance.

クジラを見る目的なのだが、なかなか探せないです。見つけたときは歓声が上がり、その方向に走り寄って探します。自然が相手だから仕方ないですが、遠くに潮吹きと背中、しっぽを見つけることができました。

The purpose was to see whales, but they were hard to find. Even when I did spot them, I could only see their spouts and a bit of their backs from a distance. It's understandable since it's nature, but later I was able to see the spouts from the hotel balcony as well.

クジラ見る目的なのだが、なかなか見つからなかった。見つけても遠くに潮吹きとわずかに背中が見える程度だった。自然が相手なので仕方ないが、後でホテルのベランダからも潮吹きは見れました。

It was amazing to have a drink included, and we could freely take and eat snacks. Above all, we saw so many whales and dolphins! We were the only Japanese people on board, but on the contrary, all the other passengers were really lively, and it was a lot of fun.

We saw whales jumping with their calves and slapping their tails on the water's surface many times, and the guide even said, "This is the best whale watching ever," so we were very satisfied. Additionally, they delayed our return to the harbor so we could see the sunset without any obstructions, which was perfect.

If you're going to Hawaii during whale season, I definitely recommend this!

I also saw reviews about feeling seasick, but we were fine. Some people might need motion sickness medication, but it seems that those who are relatively strong don't have any issues.

ワンドリンク付き、スナック菓子も自由に取って食べられて、何よりクジラとイルカがたくさん見られて最高でした！
日本人は私達だけでしたが、逆に乗客がみんなノリが良くとっても楽しかったです。
クジラは親子でジャンプしているところや尻尾を水面に打ち付けているところが何度も沢山見られて、ガイドの人も「今までで最高のホエールウォッチングだ」と言っているほどで、非常に満足しました。
また、夕陽が沈むのを最後まで見られるように予定時間よりも遅めに帰港してくれたので、サンセットも遮るものなくバッチリ見られました。
クジラのシーズンにハワイに行くならぜひおすすめします！

酔うという口コミも見ましたが、私達は大丈夫でした。人によっては酔い止めがあるのかもしれませんが、割と強い人は無くて大丈夫そうです。

The weather on the day was clear, and I was a little worried about whether we would be able to see whales, but there was no need for concern as we were able to see whales multiple times!

On the boat, we enjoyed cake for our meal, and we could also have drinks like coffee and tea, making the two hours very satisfying.

Not only did we see whales that day, but we also spotted dolphins, and we were able to enjoy the view of Waikiki from the sea, making it a valuable experience that went beyond just whale watching.

The energetic staff shared a lot of knowledge about whales after we set sail and provided many interesting facts during the whale watching, which deepened my understanding of these magnificent creatures.

I definitely want to participate again when I go to Honolulu!

当日は快晴で、鯨もちゃんと見られるか少し心配していましたが、心配の必要が無かったくらいに何回もクジラを見ることができました！
船内ではケーキの食事や、コーヒーやお茶などの飲み物も飲むことができて、2時間たっぷりと満足することができました。
当日はクジラだけでなく、イルカも見ることができましたし、海からのワイキキの景色も堪能することができ、ホエールウォッチングにとどまらない貴重な体験をすることができました。
元気なスタッフさんたちが出航してからクジラについての知識や、ホエールウォッチング中もたくさんのクジラに対する豆知識を教えてくださり、とてもクジラに対する造詣を深めることができました。
またホノルルに行く時はぜひ参加したいです！

The ship provided light snacks (coffee, tea, pineapple cake). The pineapple cake was delicious. The actual sailing time was about 2 hours. On this day, we were able to see two humpback whales. The whales came to the surface and spouted water at intervals of about 10 to 15 minutes, so I enjoyed chatting with the foreign people next to me (although I only understood about one-third of the conversation).

I didn't feel much movement while the ship was moving, but when the ship was stopped during whale watching, there was some rocking, so I think those who are prone to seasickness might need motion sickness medication. When the ship returned to the port, there were a few people on board celebrating their birthdays, and everyone sang "Happy Birthday," which felt very international and was really nice.

船内は軽食付き（コーヒー、紅茶、パイナップルケーキ）です。パイナップルケーキが美味しかったです。実際の乗船時間は2時間ほど。この日はザトウクジラを2頭見ることができました。クジラは約10〜15分間隔で水面上に来て潮吹きをしていたので、横の海外の人と談笑しながら楽しみました。（言葉は1/3程度しか理解できなかったですが、）
船が動いているときはそこまで感じなかったですが、ホエールウォッチング中の船が止まっているときは船揺れがあったりするので酔いに弱い人は酔い止めが必要かと思います。船が港へ戻る時に船内で誕生日だった人が数名いて、みんなでハッピーバースデーの歌を歌ってお祝いしていたのが海外らしくてとてもよかったです。

I could see it well from a distance. The weather was nice, and I appreciated that they were considerate even though I couldn't speak much English.

遠くからだったけど、よく見えました。天気も良く、色々英語が話せないことでも、気を使ってくれて良かったです

We had a fun time and would book with this group again. Only thing that would make it better is if we would have gotten to see some whales.

My first booking was cancelled at very last minute. The captain only told me when I got to the pier - 2hours round trips was wasted for nothing without early notice.

I booked second one which was rescheduled twice, eventually it made through and my daughter loves it.

The water is bit cold in the first place but bearable and we stayed in water for 40mins or longer as we were the last group.

On the way back, we saw the whales - what a bonus!!

At the beginning, we had a presentation about whales on the first floor while enjoying some snacks, and afterward, we were free to move around the floors up to the fourth level to look for whales and enjoy the view from the boat.

Although we weren't able to see any whales this time, we received a ticket to board again during this season. All the crew members were very kind, making for a delightful boat trip.

We were able to participate with our small child, and it was a fun boat experience without any significant rocking of the boat. The interior of the boat was clean and spacious, providing a calm atmosphere along with light snacks and drinks.

At first, we had a brief explanation about whales on the first floor and enjoyed some snacks, after which we were free to move up to the fourth floor to look for whales and enjoy the view from the boat.

Although we weren't able to see any whales this time, we received a ticket to board again during this season. The crew members were all very kind, making for a delightful boat trip.

We didn't see any whales, but we had a great time. The naturalist on board was very knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about whales.
The weather was pretty good. We had clear views of Honolulu -- Waikiki and Diamond Head.
The process to check in and check out was smooth and fast.

Due to the high waves that started midway, there was no snack distribution. I had planned to go get a drink when the snacks were handed out, so I couldn't go. When I stopped by the bar counter upon disembarking, there were no staff present, and there were only a few snacks in a basket that people who noticed helped themselves to. The drinks were just a display of cans... If the distribution was canceled due to the high waves, I would have appreciated it if someone had been at the bar counter during disembarkation to hand them out. In the end, I wasn't able to receive the limited-time drink benefit. I noticed that some people didn't tip at all, so I wondered if that might have affected the service. Although I didn't see any whales, I had a great time seeing a lot of dolphins, which made the lack of service feel like a missed opportunity.

途中から波が高くなったせいかスナックの配布がなかった。スナック配布されたらドリンクを取りに行くつもりにしていたので行けず。下船時にバーカウンターに寄りましたが、スタッフ不在、スナックが少しだけカゴに入って置いていたので気づいた人が自ら取っていました。
ドリンクは缶の見本が並べてあっただけ…。高波で配布を見送ったのなら、下船時にバーカウンターにいて頂いて、お渡しして欲しかったです。結局期間限定特典のドリンクは受け取れずじまいでした。
チップを全く入れてない人もいたので、こういうことも影響しているのではないかと思いました。
クジラは見れませんでしたがイルカがたくさん見れて楽しかっただけに、サービスがもったいなく感じました。

I participated in whale watching for the first time!
While cruising, I was able to enjoy some drinks and the scenery was amazing! ✨✨
I saw the whales spouting water and their tails from a bit of a distance!!
I thought I would be able to see them a little closer, but since they are wild animals, I understand that it's unpredictable. Still, the atmosphere was great and I had a lot of fun!!

The restrooms on the boat aren't usually very clean and can be hard to access, but this boat had clean restrooms, so I felt comfortable even while drinking!
I would love to participate again someday!!

船でのおトイレは綺麗なところがあまりなく、なかなか行きにくいですが、こちらの船は綺麗なトイレでお酒を飲んでも安心でした！

I participated in a sunset cruise. It departs from the yacht harbor in Waikiki and returns in about an hour and a half, making it easy to join. On the day I went, I could see the whales' spouts and tails far off in the distance, but the crew did their best to keep things lively and entertaining. Since it's nature, whether you get to see the whales up close is a matter of luck.

サンセットクルーズに参加しました。ワイキキのヨットハーバーから出発して1時間半程度で帰ってこられるので気軽に参加できます。
私が参加した日は遥か遠くにクジラの潮吹きや尻尾が見える程度でしたが、クルーの皆さんは何とか盛り上げようと楽しませてくれました。自然相手のことなので、クジラが近くで見られるかは運次第です。

I could tell there were whales, but I couldn't see them very well. The staff provided warm hospitality, making my experience enjoyable. The banana cake for a light snack had a homemade feel and was delicious. You can choose between tea and coffee.

鯨がいるのは分かりますが、あまりよく見えませんでした。スタッフの方々はあたたかいおもてなしで気分良く過ごすことができました。軽食のバナナケーキも手作りの感じがあって美味しかったです。紅茶がコーヒーが選べます。

On this day, the sky was completely covered with clouds and there was a strong wind. It started to rain midway, and by the time we disembarked, there was a full-blown storm. Perhaps due to the strong winds, the waves were high and there were whitecaps, making it difficult to spot whales. However, there were several announcements on the ship about whale sightings, and my husband and I were able to see a spout once each. A few Japanese passengers who were on board with us also mentioned they saw a spout just once. Does seeing a spout mean you've seen a whale? I wonder if it was the right decision to set sail in that weather. If asked whether I would like to go again, I would say I do not want to. Even if the weather were good, it seems there is a set distance from which you can approach the whales, so I think it would be difficult to actually see the whales themselves. The coffee and light snacks were delicious (although the boat rocked so much that the coffee spilled...).

この日は空一面の雲に強い風、途中から雨が降り始め、下船するころには大嵐になっていました。強い風のためか波が高く白波が立ち、クジラ発見には難しい条件だったと思いますが、船内に何回かクジラ発見の放送が流れ、私たち夫婦は潮吹きを１度づつ見ることができました。一緒に乗っていた日本の方たち数人も潮吹きを１度だけ見たと言っていました。潮吹きを見たらクジラを見たことになるのか？あの天候で船を出すことは正解なのか？疑問です。また乗ってみたいかと言われれば、もう乗りたくありません。天候が良かったとしても、クジラに近寄れる距離が決まっているらしく、クジラ本体を見ることは難しいのではないかと思いました。コーヒーと軽食は美味しかったです（コーヒーがこぼれるほど揺れましたが・・・）

My husband and I participated in this trip for our honeymoon.

Thanks to the favorable weather, the boat didn't sway, and we were able to enjoy the beautiful sea and the views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the water.

As for the whales, we were able to see them multiple times during the trip. However, they were all quite far away, and we could only see their spouts and a bit of their black backs and tails. I think it was great just to see them, but if I had to say something, I wish we could have seen them a little closer.

新婚旅行で夫と2人で参加しました。

天気に恵まれたため船が揺れることもなく、綺麗な海や海からのワイキキ、ダイヤモンドヘッドを眺めることができました。

肝心のクジラですが、乗船中何度も見ることができました。しかしいずれも遠いところで、潮吹きと黒い背中と尾鰭が少し見える程度。姿を見ることができただけでも良かったのだと思いますが、強いて言えば、もう少し近くで見れると良かったなと思います。

I originally joined this tour because I love sharks. We took a bus for just under two hours from our hotel in Waikiki to Haleiwa. We gathered at a small shack decorated with shark patterns and set off. There were about 14 or 15 participants, and I was the only Japanese person (the staff were not Japanese either).

The explanations were in English, and the engine noise was loud, so I couldn't understand much, but I managed to get by. Since my eyesight is poor, I borrowed prescription goggles, but they weren't very clear, so I recommend bringing contact lenses if you have vision issues. As others have mentioned, once we arrived at the spot, the waves were high and it was easy to get seasick. I got seasick here too.

However, when we got into the cage, I was so focused on watching the sharks that I forgot about my seasickness. I was very satisfied to see a nearly 3-meter-long tiger shark up close. The shark was calm, and I was moved by its graceful swimming. Unfortunately, I didn't see many other sharks besides that tiger shark. After getting out of the cage, I felt worse and ended up vomiting. There was another person who vomited as well. However, after that, I felt refreshed and was able to enjoy the return trip.

I was a bit anxious about participating alone as a woman, but I had a valuable experience and it was really great! If there are others in a similar situation who are hesitant to join, I encourage you to participate without hesitation!

もともとサメが好きでこのツアーに参加しました。ワイキキのホテルからバスで2時間弱かけてハレイワまで向かいました。サメの柄の小さな小屋に集合して出発しました。参加者は14、5人で日本人は私1人だけでした（スタッフの方も日本人ではない）。
説明は英語かつエンジンの音がうるさくあまり理解できませんでしたが、なんとかなりました笑。視力が低いので、度ありのゴーグルを借りましたが、あまり見えやすくはなかったので目がよくない方はコンタクトを持って行くことをおすすめします。他の方も言っている通り、スポットについてからは波が高く酔いやすいです。当方もここで酔いました。
しかし、ケージに入る際はサメを見ることに夢中で酔っていることを忘れました。体長３メートル弱のタイガーシャークを一匹、近くで見ることができとても満足でした。サメは穏やかで、優雅に泳ぐ姿に感動しました。しかしそのタイガーシャーク以外のサメはほとんど見れませんでした。ケージから出た後、酔いが酷くなり吐いてしまいました。私以外にももう1人吐いてる方がいました。しかし、その後はスッキリして帰港を楽しむことができました。
女1人の参加で少し不安でしたが貴重な経験ができてとても良かったです！同じ境遇で参加を迷っている方がいたらぜひ迷わず参加してみてください！！

Since it was a tour involving nature, I thought I wouldn't know if I would see anything until it was over, but in the end, I had a wonderful experience. I understood that we couldn't get too close to the whales and would only be able to see them from a distance, but the whales came close to us, and I was able to see them up very close.

I participated in early February, and there were many whales. I was moved by how many there were. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone whose timing aligns.

自然が相手のツアーなので、見れるかどうか終わってみないとわからないなぁ、と思っていましたが、結果、素晴らしい経験ができました。くじらにはあまり近づけないとのことで、遠くからしか見られないのは仕方ないと思っていましたが、クジラが近づいてきてくれて、ものすごく近くで見ることが出来ました。
参加時期は2月上旬でしたが、クジラはたくさんいました。こんなにたくさんいるんだと感動しました。
是非、タイミングが合う方は参加をお勧めします。

I was worried, but I'm glad I was able to see the whales properly. The explanations in Japanese were easy to understand. I recommend it.

I participated in the whale watching tour on the Star of Honolulu with a pickup from Waikiki (with snacks and drinks included). There were many participants on the large boat. Even though it was the rainy season in February, we were blessed with good weather and enjoyed the views of the blue sky and the deep blue sea from the boat. We also saw whales multiple times, including some mother and calf pairs, and got to witness them spouting water. It was a very satisfying whale watching experience. If you're coming to Waikiki, I highly recommend you join this tour!

ワイキキ送迎を付けてホエールウォッチ　スターオブホノルル号（軽食＆ドリンク付き）に参加しました。
大型船で参加者もたくさんいました。
雨季の２月での参加でしたがお天気にも恵まれ、青く晴れた空と真っ青な海が広がる船からの景色を楽しめました。
またクジラも何度も現れて潮吹きも何度も見られました。
親子のクジラも現れ大満足のホエールウォッチングになりました。

I participated in a trip with my mother and daughter. We arrived at Aloha Tower right at 8:00, but we couldn't board immediately and had to wait outside. The port's restroom was locked and unavailable for use.

The large ship has four decks, and after boarding, there was an explanation of whale watching in English, along with the offering of pineapple banana bread, coffee, tea, and water. I recommend going to get your food early as there is a line.

It took a while before we spotted any whales, but the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea was beautiful, making the cruise satisfying. After a while, we saw a whale spouting water, and we could see its tail and dorsal fin. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any big jumps.

The trip was on a Saturday, and we were able to disembark around 11:00, which allowed us to take a taxi to the Kaka'ako Farmers Market.

母、娘の二人旅で参加しました。
8時ちょうどにアロハタワーに着きましたがすぐには乗船できず外で待ち時間がありました。港のトイレは鍵が掛かっており利用できませんでした。
4階まである大きな船で、乗船後英語でホエールウォッチングの説明がありパイナップルバナナブレッドとコーヒー・紅茶・お水の提供があります。並ぶので早めに取りに行くことをおすすめします。
沖へ出るまでなかなかくじらは現れなかったですが、海から見えるワイキキの街やダイヤモンドヘッドが美しくクルーズとして満足できました。
しばらくすると潮を吹いているクジラがおり、尾びれや背びれが見えました。残念ながら大ジャンプは見られませんでした。
参加日は土曜日で、11時頃には下船できたのでタクシーでカカアコファーマーズマーケットへ行く事ができました。

I have a tendency to get motion sickness, so I appreciated that this boat is large and has minimal rocking. We encountered whales a few times (and dolphins too). They explain which direction to look by comparing it to a clock, which makes it easy to understand. I also thought it was a nice cruise to see Waikiki and Diamond Head. However, since we didn't see the whales up very close, it's better not to have too high expectations in that regard.

乗り物酔いしやすい体質なので、こちらの船は大きく、揺れが少ないのがよかったです
クジラには何回か遭遇できました(イルカにも)
時計に例えてどっちの方角にいるかいってくださるのでわかりやすいです
ワイキキやダイアモンドヘッドをみるクルージングとしてもありだと思いました
クジラはすごく近くで見られた訳ではないので、その辺は期待しすぎない方がよいです
