If that's something they promote, I would have appreciated a heads-up about whether the fireworks would be happening or not.

From the bus terminal in front of the Sheraton Hotel in Waikiki, we took a shared bus to the port. We boarded while being welcomed by a dance from the dancers. We were shown to a six-person table in front of the stage and waited for departure while drinking champagne. The first half featured live music from musicians, and in the second half, we enjoyed a delicious meal while watching a dance show right in front of us. The waiter even peeled the lobster for us as part of the service. It was a bit disappointing that the sunset was hidden behind the clouds early on, but we were still able to enjoy the night view, making it a wonderful time overall.

The location was within the Royal Hawaiian Center, so it was convenient and close to the hotel where I was staying.

The show featured traditional Hawaiian dances and impersonations (?), alternating between them, and the time flew by. However, there were many songs I didn't know, so I thought it would have been better to study some songs by Michael and Presley in advance. The venue had strong air conditioning, so I recommend bringing a long-sleeved jacket.

If you are staying on Oahu, do yourselves a favour and go see the Chiefs Luau - you won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a hula dance show and found this one based on the great reviews.

I chose the VIP plan, which included a dinner course. We enjoyed a course meal at our table before watching the show. The shrimp and meat were both incredibly delicious and there was plenty of food. The staff was also very kind.

We were able to watch the show right from our seats in the front row. The hula dance was very cute and glamorous. The fire dance was also very impressive.

Not only was there hula dancing, but there were also performances by Michael, Elvis Presley, and Celine Dion. There were many songs I recognized, and it was so much fun. Everyone clapped along and got really into it. I think it’s highly recommended for both women and men. Michael was really a look-alike, and he sang beautifully, which made it enjoyable.

I truly had a wonderful time. After the show, I was able to take photos with Michael, Celine Dion, and Elvis Presley. It felt like I met stars.

I definitely want to go again when I come back to Hawaii. I highly recommend it.

We used this as a conclusion to our honeymoon trip. It turned out to be the best day of our entire travel period, with perfect timing. In particular, we had a window seat that allowed us to see the sunset perfectly, and it was truly beautiful. The welcome drinks were separated into non-alcoholic and alcoholic options, so my wife, who doesn't drink, was able to enjoy something delicious as well. The food was absolutely amazing. However, eating crab was quite difficult. Unlike in Japan, there were no tools like scissors or spoons, so it felt like we were fighting with our bare hands! Also, there was nowhere to put the crab shells, which just kept piling up.

Polynesian Cultural Center Tour Ticket - Full Day Admission, Dinner & Show

It was the first activity out of four planned for our week. Everyone of us really enjoyed our day here at the PCC this was due to our tour guide mostly but all who were involved were also great. We had the best lunch at pounders and again the dinner was to die for. The breath of life show was an amazing experience. We definitely would recommend this to everyone we know. The food was absolutely delicious! Additionally, I was able to enjoy live performances, singing, and dancing. It was unfortunate that I couldn't see the sunset due to the rain. Also, my ordered drinks were forgotten, and I had to remind them several times before they finally arrived. Furthermore, the air conditioning was quite strong, making it very cold inside the ship for women in formal attire. However, the night view was incredibly beautiful!! Seeing Waikiki from the sea was refreshing.

My overall experience aboard the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise ship was fantastic! I went with my 7-year old son and he had a blast as well. His favorite part of the evening was going up and down the stairs from one deck to another exploring. And my favorite part was... the view of the Hawaiian sun disappearing behind the endless horizon. :)

We chose the all-you-can-eat crab dinner, and it was literally “all-you-can-eat!” The spirit-of-aloha-filled staff member was cruising along the dining area asking who else would like some more crab legs until the guests could not say a "yes" any more. The quality of food and entertainment were superb.

It was my first cruise dinner, so I did not know what to expect. A funny jokes-filled driver picked us up in a luxury motorcoach bus and upon arrival to Aloha Tower, an elegant staff representative escorted us to the ship. The tables were set beautifully with an orchid in the middle of the dinner plate.

I would definitely recommend this experience both to tourists and to those who live in Hawaii!

armed forces and what they do to keep us safe. We could reflect on the fact that people forget themselves and do whatever it takes in a time of need and unite toward a common goal. This site is not just about the US but about all nations of the world coming together to strive for peace.

Aha Aina Royal Hawaiian Luau - Waikiki Oceanfront Luau Dinner Show

The only beach front luau in Honolulu!

Had a great time at the Royal Hawaiian luau this week. It was much more than simply hula dancing and a fire show. The performances were short acts telling the story of the Hawaiian culture and history through song and dance. I could feel the passion for Hawaii in the host of the evening as he was setting the scene for each act. Interestingly, he was one of the actors in the original Hawaii 5.0!

Before the show started, it was fun to learn and actually see the process of how Hawaiian people made the material for their clothing. It was actually made of out sticks!

Food was plentiful and tasty with lots of variety. Highly recommended experience. The setting was beautiful on the lawn with the beach and an amazing view of Diamond Head in the background. A very special evening!

Oahu Island Guided Tour, Waimea Waterfall Swim & Dole Pineapple Farm

A day filled with fun for the entire family!

Even though I am not a tourist and have lived in Honolulu for almost three years, the circle island tour with Polynesian Adventure Tours was amazing to say the least. I had already been to most of the places we visited on the tour, but on that day I saw the island in a different light. Nothing like learning about Hawaii from a native Hawaiian guide! He was a human encyclopedia of information and facts. Culture, history, flora, fauna, movie set locations—he knew it all.

What specifically impressed me is when our guide talked about Captain Cook’s death. Many sources say that this European sailor might have been eaten by the natives. Our guide shared, however, that Hawaiian people never practices cannibalism. After Cook’s death his body was treated the same way a body of a local chief would be treated—the flesh was burnt but the bones remained intact for further burial. So, upon requesting their captain’s body, Cook’s team was issued a bag of bones, which made them automatically assume he had been eaten.

I would highly recommend the circle island tour to anyone wanting to see Oahu’s beautiful nature and also learn more about its history and culture. This tour will definitely broaden your horizons. I am thankful I had the opportunity to go!

Hilton Waikiki Starlight Luau with Fire Dancers, Hula Show & Dinner Buffet

Delicious food and great entertainment!

My friends and I had a great time at the Waikiki Starlight Luau!
The location is very convenient and we could just walk from our our hotel. Once we arrived the check-in was fast and we had a friendly staff greeting us with a Hawaiian lei and a welcome drink, nothing better than start the night with a Mai Tai! The food was very delicious and I love the variety of the food, specially the salads. It's great that they have a station specially for the kids.
The show was wonderful, full of delightful performances. My favorite part was the fire knife dance and to learn more about the other Polynesian cultures like Tonga, New Zeland, Samoa and Tahiti.
I would for sure come back to the this luau!
