The luau show and the fire show were wonderful. The tattoo experience was also great, and I got a unique flower design. I could choose designs like turtles or tribal patterns for the tattoo. Of course, since it was done with a permanent marker, it faded by the next day.
The food was just okay—neither good nor bad.
I was able to see a beautiful sunset from the venue, and on Friday night, I watched fireworks that were among the best I've ever seen.

Check-in was at 5 PM, and we were given three drink tickets per person and shown to our seats. Although the front row was fully booked at the time of reservation and we had the basic plan, we were seated at a two-person table on the edge of the third row, which had a good view. The waiters came by at just the right times to take drink orders and even offered to take photos, providing a pleasant service experience. At the end, the two leftover drink tickets were exchanged for cute paper packs of mineral water to take home.

During the time from check-in to the show, we observed the making of kapa and poi. The kapa-making demonstration had a bit of a line, but it was organized into small groups, and even if you didn't understand English, it was fun to see the cute hula girls up close. There was no making of na lawaia, but instead, there was a corner where they stamped your arm with a tattoo-like design. The show was scheduled to start at 7 PM, but in reality, singing and hula began around 6 PM and ended by 8:40 PM. It was nice that we could take photos with the performers at the end. Compared to the Hilton show I attended previously, the stage was smaller, but at the Hilton, there were a lot of people, leading to long lines for check-in, a buffet-style meal with more waiting, and shared large tables. Personally, I found this experience to be more satisfying.

17時にチェックイン、1人3枚のドリンクチケットを渡されて席に案内されました。予約時に前列確約が満席で基本プランでしたが、3列目端の２人席で見やすくてよかったです。ドリンクもウエイターがタイミングよく聞きに来てくれたり写真を撮ってくれたり、気持ちの良いサービスでした。最後に2枚余ったドリンクチケットはお持ち帰り用のかわいいミネラルウォーター紙パックと交換してくれました。チェックインからショーまでの時間はカパ作りやポイ作りを見学。カパ作りは少し並んで小グループごとに説明してくれる形式で英語がわからなくてもかわいいフラガールのお姉さん達を間近に見られて楽しかったです。ナ・ラワイア作りはなく、代わりに腕にタトゥーのようなのスタンプを押してくれるコーナーがありました。ショーは19時からと書いてありましたが、実際には18時台から歌やフラが始まり、20:40には終了でした。退場時に舞台出演者と写真が撮れるようになっていたのもよかったです。以前参加したヒルトンのショーに比べると小さめのステージでしたが、ヒルトンは人数が多くてチェックインに長蛇の列、食事はビュッフェに並びドリンクも取りに行かなければならず、席は大きなテーブルで相席だったので、自分的にはこちらの方が満足度が高かったです。

If you're going to Waikiki, I highly recommend this show, so I made a reservation before my trip. The quality of the dancers was high, and the story about the lei and the engaging service made for a very enjoyable time while feeling the breeze of Waikiki. It was a bit disappointing that the dining area was a bit far away, but there was a wide variety of delicious food to enjoy.

ワイキキに行くのなら是非このショーをと紹介されて、出発前に予約しました。

We thoroughly enjoyed the shows featuring Hawaiian dance, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and more, and my two granddaughters were extremely satisfied! The reason is that Elvis appears in the animated movie "Lilo & Stitch," which is currently very popular among little kids, and there are many of his songs featured in the film. So, my granddaughters, aged 6 and 3, were overjoyed to see someone who looked just like Elvis right in front of them. Of course, the hula dance was also wonderful! This event was great! Thank you very much.

The voucher issued states that the check-in location is "Hilton Hawaiian Village - Mid-Pacific Conference Center Rooftop." I heard that seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so I planned to arrive early and wait on the rooftop for a good seat. However, even after the scheduled time, no reception staff or anyone else showed up, and the local contact number was unreachable as the business hours had ended. In the end, I just had to go down to the venue and check in directly after the scheduled time. Unfortunately, I ended up at the back of the line and couldn't get a good seat, which was very disappointing. The luau show itself was good.

It was an exotic experience centered around a luau show and Polynesian cultural experiences.

First, regarding the luau show, it is entirely in English, which is to be expected. I think other luau shows are not much different, so you should accept that.

The show features fire dancing and audience participation, making it enjoyable. The meal is a buffet and the taste is decent. I'm happy there are plenty of vegetables. Water and coffee are free, while alcoholic drinks are charged.

The audience consisted of only one family from Korea, not to mention Japanese or other Asian attendees, which added to the exotic atmosphere.

Depending on the plan, you can receive a $16 gift card, which you can use for drinks or souvenirs.

Michael Jackson at a Luau? We’re Still Confused.

On July 19th, during our trip to Hawaii, my family and I (a party of 12) attended the Waikiki Luau with All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, Fire Dance & Rock-A-Hula. Unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences of our trip.

From the start, the event felt more like a tourist trap than a cultural celebration. The performers wore plastic grass skirts and danced on astroturf, which cheapened the experience and made it feel like a stylized imitation rather than a tribute to Hawaiian tradition.

The buffet was just as underwhelming. The meats were dry and chewy, and several of us left our meals half-eaten. We all ended up searching for food elsewhere after the show.

When purchasing tickets, we noted that they included premier seating for the show—something we specifically chose so the younger members of our group could engage and see the performance clearly. However, we were seated near the back with no explanation. The seating appeared entirely random, and there was no effort to honor the premier designation.

The show itself was bizarre. It was supposedly a journey through Hawaiian music and culture, but the execution was confusing. While we expected an Elvis tribute, it felt like a full concert with song after song. Then came a Michael Jackson impersonator performing Thriller and several other full-length songs. We learned during the show that he once performed at Aloha Stadium, but the connection felt forced and irrelevant. A few of us dozed off, while others sat in disbelief trying to make sense of it.

The performance dragged on far too long. With a tighter runtime and focus on authentic Hawaiian culture, it could have been enjoyable. The fire dancer was the highlight, but came too late to redeem the evening.

Overall, this luau was inauthentic, overpriced, and not worth it. We wouldn’t recommend it.

The various workshops and experience events, such as lei making, really captured the Polynesian atmosphere and were enjoyable. My child was delighted to take pictures with a parrot.

The show was very authentic, featuring not only female dancers but also male hula dancers, and we enjoyed both traditional dances from various countries (hula kahiko and Tahitian 'ote'a) and contemporary dances (hula 'auana and Tahitian aparima). The dancers were very skilled, and it was not just a show dance but truly impressive. The hosts, singers, and backing musicians were also wonderful, and the food was delicious, making it a very memorable luau experience.

Although the entire presentation was in English and there was no Japanese support, I felt that using a translation app would solve any issues.

レイメイキングなどの各種ワークショップや体験イベントはポリネシアンの雰囲気がとても出ていて楽しめました。
こどもはオウムと写真を撮れて喜んでいました。

I had experienced Rock Aloha once before the pandemic, but I wanted to experience it again, so I participated. Even the second time, I had a great time. Both Elvis and Michael Jackson were a lot of fun, and the Hawaiian atmosphere was really nice. I plan to come back to see it again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my overseas trip at a dinner show with no Japanese people present. The guide was also fantastic. The atmosphere on the bus was lively, and they remembered each person's name, showing great consideration. During the show, I could clearly see the sunset, and when the lights went out, the starry sky was visible. It was wonderful to visit areas outside of Waikiki as well.

Not suitable for families with children. That's why I give it ⭐️3. It might be good for those who like Elvis and Michael Jackson. I don't think the show would fit well for families with kids or for younger people who aren't familiar with those two. Given the timing, the kids were asleep the whole time. The live music and singing were very good.
