It wasn't very large, so I was able to explore it on foot.

There were things I wanted to try that I had caught a glimpse of when I had a guide before. I wanted to get a tattoo (there are different designs in Tahiti and Fiji, and sometimes they are not available when you want to do it later), try out an outrigger canoe (it was a smaller area than I expected), watch the haka at a New Zealand show, go fishing (no one caught anything, but it was still fun), and take photos with the villagers. I was able to do all of that.

I also went to a show in Samoa, and the fire knife performance seemed interesting, so I checked it out. The first 15 minutes inside the building was a talk (it was in English, so I didn't understand much), and then everyone was told to go outside! So, the juggling with fire sticks began in the garden, and it might be better to wait outside instead of rushing to get a good seat inside from the start.

It was peaceful, and everyone was kind; I had a wonderful experience.

However, regarding the video data worth $22.50, even after scanning the QR code I received, it just says "processing." I've inquired about it, but even after more than two weeks, it hasn't been sent, so I'm not sure what it is.

以前ガイドさんがついてくれた時にチラ見してやってみたいなと思っていたこと
タトゥー（タヒチとフィジーとで柄に違いがある、やっている時とやっていない時があるので後でやろうと思うとできないことがある）アウトリガーカヌー（思ったより狭い範囲だった）、ニュージーランドのショーでハカを観る、釣り（やっぱり誰も釣れないけど楽しい）、村人たちとの写真撮影　等全部できました

サモアでのショー、ファイヤーナイフも面白そうなので行ってみました
建物の中で前半15分はお話（英語なのであまりわからず）その後みんな外へ出ろ♪
ということで庭で火のついた棒のジャグリングが始まるので急いで最初から建物の中の
いい席を取ろうとしないで外で待っていた方がいいかもしれません

のどかでみんなやさしく、楽しい経験ができました

ただ、２２．５ドル相当のビデオデータというのが、いただいたQRコードを読み取っても
只今処理中というばかりで　問い合わせしていますが２週間以上経っても送られてこないのでどういう物なのか不明です

Everyone I met locally was praising it. Since this was my sixth time, including trips to Japan and abroad, I wasn't as moved as others, but considering the weather wasn't great, I still felt it was worth going. I think it would be better to include such fun activities at night, not just hula and fire dancing.

天候に恵まれなかったことも含め、行って良かったと思いました。

It was a very impressive and worthwhile show, just as the reviews said. It's definitely worth seeing at least once. I think the seats in the front and back offer a good view of the whole performance since the venue is quite small. It was completely full, showing how popular it is. I was seated to the side, so my neck got tired.

Chief’s Luau was an incredible and lively Polynesian cultural experience from start to finish, with the fire knife dancing as the highlight!

Each village offered something unique, with engaging demonstrations, performances, and friendly staff who shared their traditions and stories.

The buffet offered a good variety of dishes, and the Polynesian show was entertaining and lively, adding a fun cultural touch to the cruise!

The Mauka Warriors Luau was an incredible Christmas Eve experience and a great way to celebrate in Hawaii.

The dinner had a good variety of traditional Hawaiian foods, and the staff was welcoming and organized from start to finish

Watching the sunset over Waikiki from the water was beautiful and relaxing.

The buffet dinner had a nice variety of food, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the Polynesian show was entertaining and energetic.

The buffet and the traditional hula and luau show were amazing. I went alone, so I was a bit worried at first, but everyone sitting next to me was Japanese, and we enjoyed the meal while watching the show together. It was a really great night!

The buffet food was delicious, and after going around once, I was completely full and very satisfied, including the desserts. The hula on stage was wonderful, and the intensity of the fire dance was especially impressive. I felt that the power of the fire dance increased even more with multiple performers.

ビュッフェの料理はどれも美味しく、デザートも含め一周したらお腹いっぱいで大満足でした。
ステージのフラも素敵でとくにファイヤーダンスの迫力は凄かったです。複数人でのファイヤーダンスだとさらに迫力が増すなと感じました。

This was a new Luau experience for us. It was a buffet but set up like food trucks. the hands on activities were good and the entertainment was really fun. I like that there is a Luau available in the Ko'Olina area that is not affiliated with a hotel and walkable from the resorts.

As expected from Cirque du Soleil, the content is impressive. I've seen several shows in Japan, but Auwana offers a different kind of emotion. The venue is more compact compared to those in Japan, allowing for a great view of the performers' expressions from the golden seats. Plus, the location in Waikiki is fantastic!

流石シルクドソレイユの内容です。
日本での公園は複数回みましたが、アウアナはまた違った感動があります。
会場は日本に比べてコンパクトなため、ゴールデンシートは演者さんの表情まで良くわかります。ワイキキ内のため立地も最高！

Delicious meals that make your taste buds dance.
People from various countries participate, and you can enjoy the buffet without any issues.
Both the meat and desserts were delicious!

I attended the show with my family of five, including my one-year-old grandchild. Fortunately, we were able to sit in the front row and fully enjoy the powerful stage performance. Even without understanding English, the atmosphere and the performance were more than enough. The excitement was so overwhelming that my grandchild's diaper was quite a mess, and I thought that once they are a bit older, I would like to take them again.

1歳の孫を含め、家族5名で観覧しました。
幸運なことに最前列に座ることができ、大迫力のステージを堪能することが出来ました。
英語がわからなくても、その雰囲気とパフォーマンスで十分でした。
あまりの迫力で孫のおむつが大変なことになっており、もう少し大きくなったら、再度、
連れて行ってあげようと思いました。

In addition to traditional Hawaiian hula and Polynesian dance, the show beautifully blends performances by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, creating a great balance of "culture + entertainment."

The fire dance in the latter half is particularly stunning and honestly the most exciting point of the show. The structure actively engages the audience, ensuring that everyone can enjoy it without getting bored until the very end.

Moreover, the venue is centrally located in Waikiki, making it easily accessible. The opportunity to take photos with the cast after the show adds to the overall satisfaction of the experience. It's impressive how the show is designed not just for viewing, but to create lasting memories.

ハワイ伝統のフラやポリネシアンダンスに加えて、エルビス・プレスリーやマイケル・ジャクソンのパフォーマンスが融合していて、「文化＋エンタメ」のバランスがかなり良いショーだった。

特に後半のファイヤーダンスは圧巻で、正直ここが一番テンション上がるポイント。
観客をしっかり巻き込む構成になっていて、飽きずに最後まで楽しめる。

また、会場がワイキキ中心でアクセスが良く、ショー後にキャストと写真が撮れるなど、体験としての満足度も高い。
単なる鑑賞ではなく「思い出として残る設計」がされているのが印象的。

The dancers and musicians were fantastic! Food and service was great!

The wind was strong inside the boat, and it was cold even with a jacket on, but the night view, the moon, and the fireworks were very beautiful. It was worth participating, and I would like to ride again.

船内は風が強く上着着用しても寒かったけど、夜景や月や花火はとてもよく見えて、参加して，価値があった。また乗りたいです。

My wife and I, a couple with a combined age of 145 years, had our first experience at the luau in Ko Olina. Since we participated from Waikiki, we requested transportation. On the bus, there were six of us in total: my wife and I, along with two other couples. The staff member who accompanied us explained everything using the live translation device that my husband had brought, which was reassuring for us since we don't understand English.

The meal was served not as a buffet, but rather we received one plate at a time from the staff, which we placed on our trays. We finished every dish, and the flavors were gentle and delightful. After finishing our meal, the luau started right on time, and it was completely different from any luau we had seen before; it had a storyline. I was a bit busy following the text with the live translation while watching the performance. I saw a female fire dancer for the first time, and time flew by so quickly. Lastly, thank you to the female driver for your safe driving!

ワイキキからの参加なので送迎をお願いしました　そのバスには私たち夫婦と2組のご夫婦計6名でした　添乗してきたスタッフも英語のわからないこの老夫婦に主人が持ってきていたライブ翻訳で説明してくれました

食事はブッフェではなく一皿ずつ係りのひとから受け取ってお盆に乗せていただきました
全品完食　優しいお味でした
食事を終わり時間通りにルアウが始まり

It was an experience that you can't easily have in Japan, where you could witness the action right in front of you and feel the breath and sharp movements up close. Moreover, it was just a five-minute walk to the hotel after the show, which was a unique aspect of being in Hawaii.

なかなか、日本では体験できない、目の前でのアクションで、息遣いやシャープな動きを目の当たりで体験できました。
なお、ショーが終わって5分で、ホテルでしたので、ハワイならではでした。

First off. This was an adult only, open bar sunset cruise. I have been on quite a few of these in the past. This cruise they didn’t even play the music up at all and there was little to no energy from the crew. And they ran out of white claws… Would not book again from this company.

The sunset itself was incredibly beautiful and had an extraordinary feel to it, but it was different from the sunset cruise I had imagined.

On the day we participated, as we headed out to sea, the waves and wind were intense (I didn't feel it when I was by the beach; the weather was clear), and the boat rocked so much that I thought it might capsize. The splashes were just overwhelming! Those at the front of the boat were getting drenched from head to toe (there was a prior announcement warning that the front would get wet), and even those of us sitting further back got splashed several times and ended up completely soaked.

Although drinks were unlimited, the rocking of the boat and the splashes made it hard to enjoy them after a while.

Thanks to the loud EDM music (?), it turned into a crazy experience typical of overseas adventures, but it was a far cry from what I had envisioned; it felt more like a tough pirate experience. I would recommend it for younger, party-loving people. Those who get seasick, are looking for a romantic atmosphere, or are with children or seniors might want to skip it.

I believe it also depends on the weather and the captain's driving, so I hope this can serve as a reference as a personal experience. Thank you!

サンセット自体はすごく綺麗に見え、非日常感もありましたが、イメージしていたサンセットクルーズとは違いました。。

私たちが参加した日は、沖に出ていくにつれとにかく波風がすごくて(海辺にいた時は感じませんでした。天気も晴天です)、船が転覆するのでは？というくらい揺れましたし、波飛沫がとにかくすごい！！！船のヘッドにいた方たちは頭から絶えず水をかぶるレベルで濡れていましたし(ヘッドは濡れるので注意してね！というアナウンスは事前にありましたが)、前の方に座っていた私たちも何度か頭から水を被り全身びっしょ濡れに、、、
飲み放題ですが、船の揺れと飛沫がすごいので途中からそれどころじゃなくなりました。

EDMがガンガンに流れていたおかげで(？)、海外らしいクレイジーな体験ということである意味思い出にはなりましたが、イメージしていたものとは程遠い過酷なパイレーツ体験でした。
おすすめは若くてパリピな方かな。
船酔いする方や、ロマンティックな雰囲気を求めている方、子供連れやシニアの方はやめておいた方がいいです。

当日の天候や船長の運転にもよるとは思うので、一体験談として参考にしていただけると幸いです。ありがとうございました！

The venue was compact, so I could see well. The performance was very Hawaiian and I was moved. I would like to see it again when I come back to Waikiki.

There were many popular songs, and it was a fun show. The backup dancers frequently changed costumes and seemed to be working hard as they took on multiple roles, but they did a great job!

ポピュラーな曲がたくさん出てきて、楽しいショーでした。バックダンサーの人たちは、衣装を度々変えて一人何役もこなして大変そうでしたが頑張ってました！

HA Breath of Life! Brilliant, Amazing, Exhilarating absolutely worth seeing!

If you're like me, you're doing a deep dive into every luau on the island and reading every review so you can decide what to spend your hard earned money on. Look no further. Kaula Luau in Ko Olina truly delivered an unforgettable experience and I will highlight some of the best parts.

First off, it's a new luau (opened February 2026) and differs greatly from traditional luaus. Will get more into it later.

We got the hotel shuttle transfer and even though it ran a little late, we made it to the luau with a lot of time to spare. The bus was luxurious and very comfortable. We were a small group of 8 but our guide Kanoa (Zeek) was very welcoming, funny and attentive.

The gift shop featured only items sourced and made from locals on the island, nothing imported. A lot of cute bags!

The preshow/dinner activities were fun and we learned a lot. Our favorite was the fire baton twirling, dancing with traditional instruments, and throwing a fishing net. The teachers were very friendly and guided us throughout.

There's no buffet, but small huts that serve dishes. You can get seconds... Thirds... Or more. The poke taro chips, grilled chicken and the Hawaiian roll were delightful. Bottled Jason Mamoa water was provided. The wait staff was quick to remove finished plates too! As with any outdoor luaus, there will be bugs. Use bug spray and maybe bring a hand fan to shoo them away.

The preshow featured live singing and hula dancing. It was a good workout for the food we were gonna eat!

You got plenty of time in between the preshow and main show to take pictures with the gorgeous sunset.

The main show was the highlight. The story telling was immersive, engaging, easy to follow and enjoyable for all ages. Felt like watching a theatre show! The production was top notch. A lot of dancing, live singing and high energy. Ended with a bang: fiery fire dancers, including the first female fire dancer!

Book it. There's a lot of love put into the production and it shows 💖

After checking in, I received a fresh flower lei. It was very cute.

Then, I was guided to my dining seat, but the groups were separated based on the purchased tickets. With the VIP ticket, I was able to go to the buffet first and enjoyed various privileges, which was convenient.

The food was very delicious. I especially found the Mai Tai to be very easy to drink, and I had two cups. During the meal, there was also live music and hula dancing, which added to the enjoyment.

Afterward, I moved to a seat to watch the show, and the VIP seats were in the first and second rows in the center, allowing me to enjoy the show from a very close distance. The VIP seats included two complimentary drinks, and I was able to enjoy the second drink while watching the show.

チェックインをした後、生花のレイをいただきました。とても可愛かったです。
その後食事の席に案内をされましたが、購入した座席によって、グループが分かれていました。VIPチケットの場合、ブッフェを先に取りに行けたり、何かと優遇されていて便利でした。

料理はとても美味しかったです。とくにマイタイがとても飲みやすく2杯飲みました。食事中にも楽器の演奏をしていただいたり、フラダンスが観れて楽しめました。

その後ショーを観るため座席を移動しましたが、VIP席は真ん中の一列目から2列までで、かなり近い席でショーを楽しむことができました。
VIP席は2杯分のドリンクがサービスでついており、2杯目はショーを観ながら飲むことができました。

I went to see a night show with a mini tour included. The buffet had a wide variety of options, and I was satisfied with the free drinks. The show was very impressive and enjoyable. Next time, I want to spend a whole day doing various activities. The only disappointing thing was that there was no guidance from the staff, and I couldn't get a commemorative photo at the entrance.

ミニツアー付き、夜のショーを見に行きました。
ビュッフェも沢山品揃えがあり、フリードリンクで満足でした。
ショーは、とても迫力があり、楽しめました。
次回はまる1日かけて色んなアクティビティをやりたいです
ただ１つ残念だったのは、スタッフから案内がなくて入り口で記念写真がもらえなかったことでした。
