We had a great time exploring Haleiwa and experiencing horseback riding. It was our first visit to Haleiwa, and we were able to enjoy some leisurely shopping and dining, making for a fulfilling experience. The horseback riding course took us along the beach and through some gentle hills. The sea breeze we felt from atop the horse was very pleasant. On our way back, we stopped by a beach and encountered a sea turtle. We had heard from our guide that it was rare to see one, so we were both thrilled.

Kualoa Ranch Zipline Tour & Jurassic Valley Adventure

The zipline at the Kualoa Ranch was great. I've always wanted to try it, so when I heard that they started zipline there, I signed up without hesitation. After the check-in, a nice bus guide took me on an off-road ride to the zipline station in the back of the valley. It was pretty cool to see a working cattle ranch that was used for many movies and TV shows. Once I got there, I was greeted by 3 guides who escorted our group to the tour. They did a pretty good job explaining the botanical information around each course, and of course, setting us up on the zipline to fly across the valley! There were 7 courses and a couple of suspension bridges. It was great, and I recommend this to everyone!

This was my second dive, following last year. This time, I flew through the sky with my sister. Just when I thought it was all over because of the clouds, we got the signal to go. While I was excited, my sister looked worried. But in an instant, we were in the clouds and then dove down!!
I was giving a relaxed Aloha sign, while my sister was giving a desperate Aloha sign. Both became wonderful memories. Skydiving is the best!!

去年に続き２回目のダイブ。今回は妹と一緒に大空を飛びました。雲がかかり、もうダメかと思った最後の最後、Ｇｏの合図。わくわくする私の横で、心配そうにする妹。でもあっという間に雲の中へそして一気にダイブ！！

Words can't describe how amazing it was to skydive with them! My sister and I, 18 &22 had the time of our life! It was the highlight of our vacation and both agree that we will go again. We were both a bit anxious, but excited and are so glad that we followed through. The staff was friendly and understanding, as well as very reassuring! We were always comfortable when dealing with them. It's a must!

If you're tired of slow horseback riding in Kualoa, want to gallop like a cowboy from a Western, or simply love Western riding, I believe GUNSTOCK is the perfect ranch for you.

I experienced horseback riding at 1. Kualoa, 2. Koko Crater, 3. Turtle Bay Hilton, and 4. GUNSTOCK, and among them, this one is the best.

2 also offers a great view from a small hill, but it's more British. 3 was a horseback trek along the beach. At 4, during the trek, they were practicing roping calves in the back arena.

Next time, I hope to stay overnight at this ranch for a cowboy experience. (Note: For those who want to experience Western riding in Japan, Eldorado in Chiba is the best.)

My grandmother and my 4-year-old son participated. I thought he would be scared, but he wasn't scared at all. I was also impressed that they were regular horses, not ponies.

During our riding time, we were able to play at the ranch, so we were never bored.

I went with my 11-year-old and 8-year-old sons. It took about 2 hours to arrive by bus. The horseback riding was amazing for our first time. It was all in English, but I was able to understand. The staff were very polite and kind. I think I will go again when I visit Hawaii.

Everything depends on the local coordinator and driver. It was far too casual. They arrived on time in the morning, but handed me a pen that didn’t work and a consent form to read. I was told to check items and fill in blanks. The car was shaking, it was dark, and I couldn’t understand the content well. There was no explanation about the consent form, the optional video, or the photo content and prices at all. In the end, I was handed a document about their background and a business card, and was told to read it if I wanted. Was that really necessary? The business card had a phone number and mentioned that arrangements could be made for $175. I was so upset that I immediately threw it away. I wish I could have taken a photo if it was possible.

I thought there would be a proper explanation of the content on-site, but it seemed like I had to fill everything out in the car, and everyone was confused inside the vehicle. They also kept talking endlessly using the car's microphone. I don’t remember much of the content, but they were talking about health. There was no explanation about skydiving.

By the way, it was written that there would be a lecture in Japanese on-site, but there wasn’t any. We just watched a video in the car on the way there. After that, the foreign instructor who would jump with us taught us in broken Japanese for about a minute. The quality of the explanation varied depending on the instructor.

When we arrived on-site, there was an explanation about the optional video and photos, but the amount explained by the coordinator was different from the amount charged, leading to a dispute with the local company. I tried to explain in broken English, but it didn’t get through, and both sides gave up. The coordinator didn’t stay on-site because they had another job.

The skydiving itself was fun. However, due to bad weather, we had to change to the 2100m plan. I think it would be enjoyable for those who don’t get car sick or motion sick. There’s no fear; it’s just for a moment.

However, there were so many issues that I don’t have good memories of it. There was so much more that I couldn’t write here. It’s a unique experience, and I don’t want it to be ruined here. It’s strange that there are no complaints here. I think improvements are necessary.

あとは一緒に飛ぶ外人のインストラクターの人が片言の日本語で教えてくれるのみです。約１分のみ。インストラクターによっても説明の善し悪しはあります。

現地についたときにオプションのビデオ・写真の説明がありましたが
コーディネーターの説明した金額と請求金額は違っており現地の会社と揉めました。
片言の英語で説明しましたが伝わらずどちらも諦めました。
コーディネーターは次の仕事があるからと現地には常駐しません。

スカイダイビング自体は楽しかったのです。
ただ天気が悪く2100mのプランに変更なりました。
車酔いや乗り物酔いなどしない人は楽しいと思います。
怖さなどはありませんよ。一瞬だけです。

ただいろいろ有り過ぎていい思い出はありません。
ここに書ききれないほどまだまだありました。
なかなかできない体験と、ここで壊してほしくありません。
ここにクレームがないとこが不思議です。

I enjoyed a refreshing horseback ride along the North beach. I was able to take in the changing scenery, including the sandy beaches and the forest. There was also a super VIP group there, but I didn't encounter them during the ride. I definitely want to go again.

I had a great time!

The driver was a nice person, and it felt wonderful to ride horses along the beautiful beach and connect with nature!

The only downside was that someone who wasn't picked up confronted the driver, insisting it wasn't their fault, and complained to the company, which created a negative atmosphere. It was unfortunate to encounter a complainer while in Hawaii, especially since there were others from the same hotel being picked up.

However, the driver continued to lighten the mood and was truly a good person! If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would definitely like to participate again!

My husband had been wanting to try this bike tour down the mountain for a while. Since we were at it, we decided to add a hiking component and participated in this tour. It's quite a survival-style mountain climbing experience, different from Diamond Head and Koko Head. It has a similar vibe to the Manoa Falls Trail, but since we were allowed to enter private land, it feels even more like a jungle (laughs). Along the way, we crossed rivers and ventured down paths without trails, which I think allows for a different kind of enjoyment away from the lively atmosphere of Waikiki.

The bike ride starts with a drive to the starting point. Riding through the wind is truly refreshing. Personally, I felt like I wanted to go a bit faster, but it was still fun. Having lunch at a viewpoint overlooking Waikiki is priceless! It's a nearly full-day itinerary, but I recommend it for those who are tired of the beach.

Please be aware that there is no Japanese language support at all, so be prepared when you get in the car. Our team consisted of 12 people, including two other families and two individuals, but we were the only Japanese. All conversations were in English. It felt like being thrown into an English conversation class right from the pickup car, which was quite stimulating (laughs). It's a shame that I couldn't enjoy it even more because I didn't understand English well.

Before entering the mountain, they ask if you want to wear rubber boots. None of us on our team raised our hands, and we ended up starting the hike in sneakers... which got quite muddy, leading to a shoe wash at the hotel (tears). If you dislike washing your shoes, please muster the courage to raise your hand and say, "I will wear rubber boots!"

I recommend this for families, couples, and groups. Create some wonderful memories!

主人が前からやってみたいと行っていたのが、このバイクで山を下るツアー。
せっかくならハイキングもつけてみようということで、今回このツアーに参加しました。
ダイヤモンドヘッドやココヘッドとも違う、なかなかなサバイバル系山登りです。
マノアフォールトレイルと雰囲気が似ていますが、こちらは私有地に入れてもらっているのでさらにジャングル感が濃いです（笑）
途中に川を渡ったり、道なき道を進んだり、ちょっとワイキキのウキウキ感とは離れて楽しめると思います。

バイクは車でスタート地点まで連れて行ってくれます。風をきって走っていくのは本当に爽快です。個人的にはもう少しビュンビュン走ってみたかった気もしますが・・・でも楽しかったです。ワイキキを一望できる高台で食べるランチはプライスレス♪
ほぼ１日がかりの行程ですが、海に飽きちゃった人にはおすすめです。

ポイントは一切日本語がありませんので、それなりに覚悟を決めて車に乗り込んでください。
私たちは他に２つのファミリー、個人参加の方が２名の１２名のチームでしたが、日本人は私たちのみ。会話はすべて英語です。お迎えの車の中から一気に英会話教室に放り込まれたような感覚でそれはそれは刺激的でした（笑）
きっと英語が分かればもっともっと楽しめるのにな～というのが残念です。

山に入る前に、長靴をはきますか？と聞かれます。私たちのチームは誰も手をあげなくて、何だかその流れで私たちもスニーカーで山登りに突入したのですが・・・・かなり泥んこになりホテルで靴洗い（涙）
靴洗いが嫌な方は勇気を持って「長靴はきます！」で手を挙げてくださいね。

ファミリーにもご夫婦にもグループにもおすすめです。楽しい想い出を作ってください！

this day out is well worth it. our guide Terii was very enthusatic about Hawaii its culture, history, forna etc. The highlight would have to be swimming with the turtles at the end. The day is extremely organised, good food, heaps of snacks etc.

It was truly the best experience.

As mentioned here, if you have Japanese and high school-level English conversation skills, you can do it without any problems.
I signed up for 2100m, but when I arrived, there were no other participants for that height, so I was almost forced to upgrade.
I intended to sign up for photos on-site, so I went ahead with the application.

Skydiving is not difficult at all; you can leave everything to the instructor!
Also, the tipping system here is easy to understand (there's a post for tips), so the timing for tipping, which is said to be difficult for Japanese people, was not an issue.

On the way back, I asked the driver to stop for a North Shore tour, so I got off along the way.
I was able to return to Honolulu by bus!

I had originally purchased the 2 hour horseback riding tour but was called earlier on the day of the ride that they were not able to give the 2 hour ride tour due to a triathlon taking place on the Kualoa Ranch property. Renee was great to talk with with she offered alternatives. Change of day in the ride or lunch on them and a 1 hour ride with a bus ride to see the area that "Jurassic Park" was filmed. We chose to take the 1 hour ride and lunch on them. The buffet lunch was VERY good and had many selections to choose from. The horse were used to having inexperienced riders. They in my reflection were push button horses. They followed the leader. Very good ride for a first time horseback rider. The tour guide was very pleasant. Oh and Veltra reimbursed me the difference in cost between the two rides. That was very nice of them. When I go back to Oahu I think I will purchase the ATV tour. That looked like a lot of fun.

It was my first time in Hawaii. It was also my first time trying sport fishing. I was the only one participating in the tour, which made me quite anxious since I couldn't speak the language. On the day of the tour, we were supposed to meet before 6 AM. I thought I could walk from the hotel, but after only checking the map, I felt uneasy about going to a new place alone, so I was glad I arranged for a taxi in advance. The taxi arrived on time and took about 20 minutes to get there. Three young people were already there. I thought they were my companions, but they didn't seem very friendly, and it turned out they were there individually. A little late, a boy around sixth grade and his mother arrived. The weather was a bit cloudy, but I wasn't worried. I greeted them, but as expected, I couldn't understand much of what they said.

As we set off, we progressed into the dark dawn sea. It was more cold than refreshing, and my windbreaker came in handy. After about 20 minutes, the young captain began to slow down as he looked at the fish finder. I started to feel excited, thinking we were about to catch fish, but it turned out we were going to catch live bait. The members on board took turns catching fish that looked like mackerel, about 30 centimeters long. I think we caught around 30 fish. We were ready to go, and my excitement grew as we set off again toward our destination. The boat accelerated, and I thought we were quite far from the island, but after about an hour, the island was no longer visible. Moreover, the sea was quite rough, and the boat rocked significantly, which surprised me.

The boat was professional and exceeded my expectations with its impressive equipment. I had imagined fishing in such a boat, but unfortunately, we didn't encounter the target fish. 　　ボートは、本格的で、私のイメージをはるかに超え、立派な装備がされていたものだった。こういう船で、マリーンは、釣るのかと勝手に、想像を膨らませていたが、なかなか、お目当ての魚に出会うことは、残念ながらなかった。結局、釣果としては、シイラ１匹だけだった。
　　でも、クルーザーに乗っての本格的なフィッシングは、十分堪能できた。釣れるつれないは、時の運。このような体験をできたことが、楽しかった。言葉の壁は、なかったわけではないが、キャプテンも、気を使ってくれ、、思い出深い１日となった。

Best activity we could have ever imagined! Originally we did this because it was an activity my nephew and his wife had not done yet. They are stationed in Oahu and they do the same activities with all family that visits. Well, this was new for all and just the most fun. It rained during the trip and at first we thought that would ruin it, but it actually made it even more fun. My advice...spend the money and splurge on the two hour tour and pray for rain. Invest in a rain jacket though (we bought ours from them because we weren't prepared) and it will be the most breathtaking fun adventure ever!

I experienced skydiving for the first time. (As of 2014) Although the yen was strong, it was still much cheaper than in Japan, so for those who want to try it at least once, I highly recommend it. The view of Hawaii from the sky was very beautiful. Falling from the sky without any support was quite a shocking experience.

There is a pick-up and drop-off service, but since it's located in a somewhat inconvenient area, those on a short stay who feel like time is precious might consider renting a car to stop by places like Waikele Outlet on the way back to Waikiki. We were first-time visitors to Hawaii and didn't have a good sense of the area, but we were able to drive there without any problems.

I participated at my husband's strong request. According to our guide and driver, it seemed to be a less busy day, and we returned to the hotel around lunchtime.

The instructors were all handsome, which really boosted my excitement from the preparation stage! I was quite nervous, but since it wasn't my timing to hesitate, I quickly jumped out of the plane. I was thrilled by the beautiful island scenery and was shouting at first, but as the parachute opened and we started descending slowly, I began to feel a bit nauseous. They offered to spin us around as a service, but I declined in broken English...

In the latter half, I was just hoping to land on solid ground quickly, without the luxury of enjoying the view, and I headed straight to the restroom after landing.

I regretted not taking motion sickness medication, thinking it would be fine since we were just falling. I think it's better for those who are prone to motion sickness to take it.

However, it was such an exhilarating experience that I want to try it again.

Photos and videos were quite expensive, so no one from our group signed up for them. I hesitated because it would have been a nice memento, but looking back, I'm glad my nauseous face wasn't captured!

ガイド兼運転手のお父さんの話では、空いている日だったらしくお昼くらいにはホテルに戻っていました。

インストラクターの方たちはイケメンばかりで準備段階からテンションあがります！
かなり緊張していたけれど、自分のタイミングではないので、ためらう暇もなく
あっという間に飛行機から飛び出していました。
素晴らしい島の景色で興奮して最初は叫んでいたけど、
パラシュートが開いてゆっくり降下しだしたぐらいからだんだんと気持ち悪くなってきて
サービスでぐるぐる回ってくれたりするのですが、片言英語で辞退・・・。

後半はとにかく早く陸に降ろしてほしい((+_+))という状態で景色を楽しむ余裕もなく
着陸後トイレへ直行しました。

落ちてくるだけだし大丈夫だろうと酔い止めを飲まなかったことを
かなり後悔したので、
乗り物酔いし易い方は飲んだ方が良いと思います。

でもまた挑戦したいと思えるほど興奮する体験でした。

写真やビデオは結構お高いので、一緒に行ったグループの方たちは誰も申し込んでいませんでした。
記念になるので迷いましたが、今思えば酔ったひどい顔が写らなくてよかったです(^_^;)

There are many optional tours to Dole, but this tour had a sufficient time of 75 minutes at Dole, which made me hopeful since I have a 3-year-old child and thought we could take our time on the train. However, we were put on the same tour as the horseback riding group, which shortened our time at Dole to 50 minutes. By the time we got on the train, we only had 10 minutes left. After buying ice cream, we barely made it back to the car, leaving no time for a stroll or to look at souvenirs. To make matters worse, we had to wait for the horseback riders to return, resulting in only 3 hours at Haleiwa. The guide kindly took us for a 20-minute drive, but isn't this terrible considering we paid for it? I feel like I would have preferred another optional tour instead. Also, even though we were charged for one child's fare, the bus seat was on my lap. I felt like I lost out.

On the positive side, the guide, Mr. S, was excellent. He was knowledgeable about plants and incorporated current events while explaining the scenery and buildings visible from the bus. He quickly found and spoke to participants and waited in an easy-to-find spot, showcasing his wonderful personality. When I inquired about a forgotten item on the bus, he promptly delivered it to me. Given how fantastic the guide was, it was very disappointing regarding the time management.

　ドールに行くオプショナルツアーはたくさんあるけれど、こちらのツアーはドールの時間が７５分と十分な時間が設定されており、３才の子供がいたので列車にも乗れてゆっくりできるかな・・・と期待して申し込みました。しかし乗馬プランの人と同じツアーにされたため、ドールの時間は５０分に短縮。列車に乗ると、残り１０分。アイスを買ったら車に戻るのがやっとで、散策したりお土産を見たりする時間はありませんでした。おまけに乗馬の人が帰ってくるのを待つため、ハレイワの滞在時間が３時間。ガイドさんが気を遣って、２０分ほどドライブに連れて行ってくれましたが、料金を払ったのに、これってひどくないですか？　これだったら他のオプショナルツアーにしたのにな・・・という気分です。また、子供も１人分の料金を取ってるのに、バスの席は膝の上。損した気分でした。
　良かったと言えば、ガイドのＳさんです。植物に詳しく、時事ネタも取り入れながら、バスから見える景色や建物についてよく説明して下さいました。また、ツアーに参加した人を素早く見つけて声をかけたり、わかりやすい位置で待っていてくれたり、人柄も素晴らしくとても良かったです。バスに忘れ物をして問い合わせすると、すぐに届けてくれました。ガイドさんが素晴らしかっただけに、時間配分の件は非常に残念でした。

I booked a hotel transfer in Waikiki. When I arrived on-site, there were instructions for horseback riding posted in Japanese. Everything else was in English, but the guide at the front provided basic directions like "right" and "left" in broken English. They use horses that have retired from polo, and they were very well-trained and beautiful. The course included muddy areas, steep slopes, and scenery that could only be accessed on horseback, which was quite magical. In the latter part of the ride, I was able to have my picture taken on the horse against a beautiful backdrop of the ocean with my own camera. (There was no pressure to buy photos!!)

ワイキキホテル送迎込を探して申し込みました。現地に到着すると、日本語での乗馬の注意が貼ってありました。その部分以外はすべて英語ですが、基本的な右へ、左へ、は先頭の誘導してくださる方が片言で教えてくれます。POLO競技から引退した馬を使用されているとのことで、とてもしつけの行き届いたキレイな馬でした。ぬかるみや、急勾配、馬でしか立ち入れないようなコースで周りの景色も幻想的でした。後半には海の見える美しい景観の場所で馬に乗った姿を自分のカメラで撮ってもらえました。(写真売りつけたりとかは無いです！！)
