It seems that the tip is a flat $20. I was wondering if I would have to wait on the day, but I was able to board smoothly. The time it takes to ascend to 4,000 meters in the Cessna was enjoyable as well. Once you jump out, it really is over in the blink of an eye. I think it's worth doing at least once in a lifetime.

I was the only Japanese participant. Both the guide and the participants mainly spoke English, so if you don't understand English to some extent, you might just end up following along. At first, I felt refreshed walking through the "tropical rainforest" with the sounds of birds, but it changed to a bamboo grove along the way, which didn't really feel like a "tropical rainforest." The waterfall we reached after walking for just over an hour had a thin flow, which was different from what I expected.

I think it was good to experience another side of Hawaii. However, from the 8 AM hotel pickup to the 1 PM drop-off, there was no chance to use the restroom, which was tough.

I was initially worried because there was no shuttle service, but I was able to easily get there by bus from Ala Moana, so I decided to participate. It was my first time horseback riding, and I was a bit anxious, but the horse was so smart that I had no worries at all. I saw reviews saying that the one-hour course was not enough, so I chose the two-hour course, but since we weren't used to it, our backsides and legs started to hurt in the second half. Perhaps it was because we chose the 3 PM course or because it rained, but it was really cold, and I thought the one-hour course would have been sufficient. However, riding a horse through such beautiful nature was a truly valuable experience.

First, let's talk about safety. Some people might feel anxious about this, so I'll share my experience. I did this once in Japan and then for the second time in Hawaii.

When I flew in Japan, the briefing (what to do and what not to do) was very thorough. They also provided a jumpsuit considering it might be cold and dirty up in the air. We received the briefing as a group and got various safety reminders from the staff, which made me realize, "Wow, this is really dangerous, I need to pay attention."

In Hawaii, however, we only watched a Japanese-language briefing video and greeted the tandem instructor. Some instructors told us to take a specific position for landing, while others didn’t say much at all. I felt like unless I asked questions, I wouldn’t get much information. My instructor was quite laid-back; when I asked if there was anything we shouldn’t do, he just said, "As long as you don’t thrash around, it’s fine!" (laughs).

The diving experience itself is absolutely amazing! The ocean is beautiful, and because of the altitude, the floating time is longer. Ten minutes might sound short, but you can actually enjoy it quite a bit. If you make a request, they might take you around more or let you operate the parachute for a very brief moment (like pulling the right cord to make a slight turn).

I noticed that some people wearing slip-on shoes lost them, so it's best to wear lace-up shoes or something that stays securely on your feet. Losing shoes is one thing, but since there were houses below, it could be a nuisance.

I tend to get motion sickness, so I took motion sickness medication before getting on the Cessna (it can be bumpy) and thought about the possibility of spinning during the dive! I recommend this unless you are someone who is very resistant to motion sickness.

Also, I think they provided free water on-site, but it's definitely a good idea to bring your own drinks. You can buy coffee and potato chips, but no one seemed to be drinking anything. You can store your belongings in lockers, so it’s advisable to bring a quarter (25-cent coin) as well.

Lastly, about tipping. It’s customary to give the coordinator who provides transportation $20 (in cash) and a minimum of $20 to the tandem partner, with no upper limit (there's a box for tips). It’s good to bring $10 and $20 bills according to your budget. Since they provide transportation from the hotel, you won’t need a credit card for just this activity. However, it can vary depending on the person, and there might be long wait times.

You will need a voucher, drinks, a jacket (for the altitude), long pants (maxi dresses are not allowed), shoes that can be securely fastened, motion sickness medication, and cash.

ハワイの場合、日本語で流れるレクチャービデオを見るだけ＋タンデム担当の方に挨拶したら、着地するときにこの姿勢を取ってね！という人（といわない人もいました）それぞれいて、「あと10分くらい待ってて！」と言われるのみで、質問しないと教えてくれないな･･･？という状態でした。私の担当さんは、しちゃいけないことはないの？と聞くと、暴れないでくれればそれでOK！というくらいののんきな人でした（苦笑）

ダイビング自体はとっても素晴らしいです！海も綺麗ですし、やはり高度があるだけあって浮遊時間も長いです。10分、と聞くと短く思いますが、意外とじっくり楽しめます。
リクエストしておくといっぱい回ってくれたり、操作させてくれたり（それはほんとに短い間です。右紐をひっぱって少し旋回する、など）します。

スリッポンをはいてきた方が靴取れていたりしたので、足元は、必ず紐靴ないしはしっかりと固定されるもので行った方がいいです。靴がなくなるのはいいとして、下に民家があったので、迷惑だと思います。

私はすごく乗り物酔いするので、セスナ（ゆれます）に乗る＋ダイビング中にアトラクションとして回転するかも！と思って酔い止めを飲みました。酔いに強い！という人でない限り、オススメします。

それと、その場で無料でお水などをもらえた気がしますが、必ず飲み物を自分で持っていったほうがいいです。コーヒーやポテトチップスなどは買えますが、特に誰も飲んでいませんでした。。
ロッカーに荷物を入れておけるので、確かクォーター（25セントコイン）も持っていったほうがいいです。

最後に、チップについてです。送迎をしてくれるコーディネーターの方に$20（手渡し）、タンデム飛行をしてくれたパートナーにミニマムで$20～上限は特になし（これはチップを入れる箱があります）が必須です。10ドルと20ドル紙幣を適宜予算に応じて持っていったらいいです。ホテルから送迎してくれるので、このアクティビティだけ、という場合クレジットカードは不要です。
本当に人によるのですが、待ち時間が長い場合もあります。

バウチャー、飲み物、上着（上空用）、できれば長ズボン（マキシワンピなどはNG）、しっかり足に固定できる靴、酔い止め、現金は必須です。

I was able to experience one of the things I want to try at least once in my life in Hawaii. Everything was perfect, from the reservation to the pick-up on the day, the diving, and the ride back to the city. I participated alone, but I had no worries. The videos and digital photos turned out great, and the videos were made so well that it felt like watching a TV show. You can even make reservations on the same day.

Now, regarding the skydiving, I can honestly say that words or text cannot express it. The view below was like Google Earth, and I couldn't even imagine floating in that space before jumping out of the plane. I screamed loudly until I landed. Being thousands of meters in the air was an extraordinary experience.

The instructors were all professionals and very cheerful, which helped ease my tension. Thank you very much to the Japanese male guide and everyone at the tour company. Although I am quite old, I want to try diving again.

I also went flying in Guam, but the scenery is better in Hawaii! The tandem master in Hawaii was more cheerful (the one in Guam was very cool, haha). I think there are hits and misses, but I had a great time. Plus, with a pickup at 5:30 AM, we were back before 11:00, so you can make good use of your time!

We had an awesome afternoon doing the ziplines. Highly suggest that you bring/wear insect repellent as the mosquitoes were quite bad. We also didn't realise that Kualoa Ranch is the film location for many tv shows and movies, so we felt like we got a bonus with the bus ride in and the info from the driver of all the famous shows. The guides were great - very informative and clearly enjoyed their jobs.

I tried skydiving for the first time this time. I was picked up at 5:30 in the morning and arrived in about an hour. After waiting for about two hours upon arrival, my name was called, and I was introduced to the instructor. We didn't have a cameraman, but the instructor used a GoPro to take photos for us. Although some instructors don't take many photos, we were lucky to have one who took a lot of pictures even before we boarded the plane, so I was very satisfied with the photos after the dive.

Once on the plane, I was excited and filled with adrenaline rather than fear. However, when it came time to jump and I looked straight down, I felt scared. The instructor repeatedly reminded us about the position of our hands and feet, saying to keep them in an "arched back" position. I think the phrase "being thrown out" fits better than "jumping."

The one-minute descent made it hard to breathe, and I had to clear my ears several times. I couldn't really laugh, and most of my photos turned out to be tense expressions... During the descent, the speed was so fast that I didn't have time to feel scared (laughs).

When the parachute opened, I felt relieved and was finally able to calm down.

I bought both photos and videos (they were quite expensive), but I think it's worth trying at least once.

今回初めてスカイダイビングに挑戦してきました。朝5時半に迎えにきてもらい、1時間ほどで着きました。着いてから2時間ほど待ったところ名前を呼ばれインストラクターを紹介されました。私たちはカメラマンを付けずインストラクターのGo proにて撮影をしてもらいました。インストラクターによって写真を全然撮ってくれないかんじでしたが、運よく飛行機に乗る前からいろいろ撮ってくれる方だったのでダイブ後はすごく満足のいる写真ばかりでした。
飛行機に乗り、恐怖というよりアドレナリンで興奮しておりわくわくしていました。しかし、いざ飛ぶ時になって真下を見ると怖かったです。何回もインストラクターが飛ぶ時の手の位置・足を「海老ぞり」にと何度も言ってくれました。
飛ぶというより放り投げられるという言葉が合っていると思います。
1分もの降下は呼吸がしづらく耳抜きを数回しました。なかなか笑うことが出来ず、ひきつった写真ばかりでしたが・・・
降下中は速度が速すぎて恐怖を感じる暇もなかったです(笑)
パラシュートが開かれると安心しやっと落ち着くことができました。

写真とビデオ両方買いました(かなり高額ですが)
一度はやってみるのも良いと思います。

I heard about the new zipline attraction in Hawaii and was looking forward to it as the main event of my short trip. After driving about 10 minutes from Kualoa Ranch and turning left at a small sign, I found a new facility that still felt fresh.

Thanks to the latest equipment, we checked in and confirmed our agreement to the safety regulations using a touch panel on the wall (in English), stored our belongings, weighed ourselves, and put on safety belts. Our group consisted of 10 guests and 3 zipline staff, and we had a great time throughout. I really felt that if I had been more proficient in English, I could have enjoyed it even more. Being able to speak English would have allowed me to joke around with the staff during the zipline and engage in conversations with the other group members, making for an even more enjoyable experience! However, even without English skills, the attraction is so exhilarating that there's no doubt you'll have fun!!

The zipline allows you to glide while safely suspended by ropes, which may not be suitable for those who are afraid of heights, but it gives you the feeling of being Tarzan in the great outdoors, allowing you to fully enjoy the sea and mountains of Hawaii! The staff also took fun photos during the attraction, which you can purchase later, so it's okay if you forget your camera and still want to participate in the attraction.

If I have the chance, I would definitely like to join again!!

　ハワイで新アトラクションとして登場したジップラインと聞き、今回の短期旅行のメインイベントとして楽しみにしていました。
　クアロア牧場より車でさらに10分くらい行ったところで小さな看板を左折すると、その先に広がるのは、まだ新しさを感じさせる新施設がありました。
　最新設備のため壁に付いたタッチパネルで受付や安全規約への同意確認をし（英語です）、荷物を預け、体重測定をして安全ベルトを装着しました。我々お客10人とジップラインのスタッフ３人が1グループで行動し、終始楽しく遊べました。受付からジップラインの終わりまで「英語が堪能だったらもっともっと楽しめたんだろうなぁ」と痛感しました。英語ができれば冗談を言いながらジップライン中のスタッフとも、一緒になったグループのメンバーとも会話が弾みより楽しい時間を過ごせたと思います！ただ、英語が出来なくても、アトラクションが爽快なので楽しめること間違いなしです！！
　ジップラインは安全を確保された中でロープで吊るされて滑り、高いところが苦手な人は不向きですが、大自然の中でターザンになったような気分でハワイの海と山を満喫できす！
　アトラクション中の楽しいところをスタッフのカメラで撮っておいてくれて、後で購入することもできるので、カメラを忘れてアトラクションに参加しても大丈夫です。
　機会があれば、ぜひまた参加したいです!!

It was my first time to skydive. At 68 years old, I was pretty scared and nervous. Warren was my partner and he was great, talking to me and making me feel less nervous. I must say the first seconds I thought I was going to die, but after the initial jumping it was thrilling. Warren showed me lots of scenery by turning and maneuvering the chute many different directions. All the other staff I had contact with were friendly. I was surprised at how many people were already at the facility when we reached it at 8:30 a.m. but they kept things moving along quickly and we did not have to wait very long to climb into our plane. I was disappointed that I was not allowed to take my GoPro. Thanks for a great time! I

We went as a family of four (all adults). It was almost our first time riding horses, but the horses were well-trained and followed the lead horse without any issues. I think it's fine as long as you're old enough to sit properly on the horse (around middle school age).

The view from the riding course was beautiful, with the sea visible. Even after one hour, my backside started to hurt a bit, and since the sunlight was hot, I think two hours might be too long. I would like to go again if I have the chance.

家族４人(全員大人です)でいきました．乗馬はほぼ初めてでしたが，馬たちはきっちり訓練されており，先頭の馬にちゃんとついていくので問題ありません．馬にきちんと座っていられる年齢(中学生くらい)以上であれば大丈夫だと思います．

During the ride, the guide spoke to us in slow English (asking things like where we were from). They were very kind, which was great. It's a bit far from Waikiki, but I recommend it for beginners.

You will be picked up early in the morning and travel to the point by bus, which takes about an hour. During this time, you will fill out a form with your name and check items. There are about 50 check items, but it will be finished quickly. (Don't worry, a pen will be provided.) After that, a video explaining the skydiving procedures will be played continuously, so you can learn from it. It's fine to just go with the flow!

Once you arrive, you will be asked if you have missed any items on the form and whether you want to purchase photos or videos. You can decide on the video after watching it, so that's okay too. After that, you will need $1 (four 25-cent coins) to put your belongings in a locker. There is also a change machine, so you don't need to worry if you don't have coins!

By the way, it's customary to tip the diver who will jump with you, around $20 (though it's not mandatory, since they are entrusting your life to them, I think it's nice to at least give $20. You can decide after the jump as well). If you request photos or videos, tips for the people taking them will also be expected. I recommend bringing extra cash.

Now! You might not feel it while jumping, but it was quite cold on the way up in the Cessna. (It might have been because I went in January.) It was a lot of fun, and the weather was great, so the scenery was amazing! I would love to do it again!

As a side note, the free WiFi was very slow and hardly usable. I plan to rent a proper one in Japan or elsewhere in the future.

ちなみに、一緒に飛んでくれるダイバーの人にチップ20$〜（絶対ではないそうですが、自分の命を預けて飛んでくれるので最低でも20$はあげたいですね。飛んだ後に決めてもいいと思いますよ）写真やムービーも頼んだら、その撮ってくれる方達にもチップが発生するそうです。余分に現金を持っていくのをオススメします。
さて！飛ぶときはそう感じないですが、セスナで上空に行くまでがかなり寒かったです。（1月に行ったからかもしれませんが）とっても楽しく、天気もよかったので景色も最高！またやりたいと思いました！
余談ですが、無料特典のWiFiは通信がとても遅く、全然使えませんでした。ちゃんと日本などで今後はレンタルしていきたいと思います。

During my stroll in Haleiwa, I also enjoyed an avocado burger and shave ice, making it a very satisfying tour.

I took my daughter on a ride at gunstock ranch as a 12th birthday gift. We arrived 40 mins before check in and watched the horses get saddled up, and had a chance to see the newborn baby sheep! The guide, Garrett, was incredibly friendly and more then happy to answer all her questions and calm her nerves before the ride began. The 600 acre, family owned ranch is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing views the whole hour. Caves that have been used for TV scenes, big open fields of cattle, wild boars running around, rainbow etc. I would definitely return for more rides in the future, and will be recommending it to all my friends!
