Skydiving in Hawaii was something I was really looking forward to. Needless to say, it turned out to be an amazing experience!

Unfortunately, the day we had planned was canceled due to bad weather. However, they handled the refund and the reservation for the next day very well, which allowed me to feel at ease and prepare for the next opportunity. (It's important to have such reassurance when you're abroad!)

On the day of the dive, I was a bit nervous but managed to relax while chatting with others in the same tour as we headed to the sky.

Without any hesitation, we dove into the sky!!!

I could see a rainbow ring, and it was absolutely exhilarating!!!! I immediately wanted to do it again!

I initially signed up for 2100m because I was a bit scared, but I changed to 4000m at the last minute. If you're going to do it, I definitely recommend going higher!

I opted for the outside camera and video. While the instructor who dives with you also takes photos, I highly recommend the outside option since it captures the experience so well! They even filmed a video with my friends, creating memories that will last a lifetime♡

実は予定していた日は生憎の悪天候でキャンセルに…。しかし返金や翌日の予約もしっかりと対応していただき、安心して、次に備えることができました。（海外なので、こういう安心材料って大切ですよね！）


そして少し緊張しながら迎えたダイビング当日。
同じツアーの方々ともお話しながら、リラックスした状態で空へ向かいました。

迷う間もなく空へダイブっ！！！

虹のリングも見えて、もう最高にエキサイティング！！！！！！！！
すぐにまたやりたい！と思わされました。


ちょっと怖がって2100mを申し込んだのですが、直前に4000mに変更しました。どうせやるなら、高い方がおすすめです！

写真はアウトサイドカメラとムービーを申し込みました。一緒にダイブするインストラクターが撮ってくれる写真もありますが、せっかくなのでアウトサイドが圧倒的におすすめ！
友だちと一緒に動画の撮影もしてくれて、一生の思い出になりました♡

It was a one-hour horseback riding course. I drove to the location with a rental car, and it was easy to find without getting lost while following Google Maps. The course offered views of both the sea and the mountains, which I was satisfied with. However, the sea felt like it was seen from a distance, so it wasn't like walking along the beach. We walked in a line with a group of about ten horses, and I felt reassured because two instructors were carefully watching over us.

My son, who had just turned 20, expressed his desire to go skydiving. Since I tend to get motion sickness even on a merry-go-round, he was eager to do it together and I couldn't refuse, so we made a reservation for both of us.

Our pickup was scheduled for 4:30, but we were picked up safely at 4:45. Inside the car, we watched a video about the contract details from someone who seemed to be a lawyer, along with safety tips for the dive. We arrived at the airfield while it was still dark, and I was shivering in my light clothing because it was very cold in the morning.

We had requested a cameraman for both of us and waited our turn. Since we were the last group, we gradually got more excited watching everyone else jump. Finally, we boarded the Cessna. The cameraman and my partner cheered us on, and my fear dissipated. I think I was a bit scared when the plane was shaking.

We continued to ascend for what felt like a long time, and I was sitting closest to the front door, so my cameraman jumped out first. Before I had time to feel scared, I jumped right after him. Until the parachute opened, I was focused on breathing and didn't have the luxury to enjoy the view. I tried to say "Aloha" to the cameraman, but when I watched the video later, I saw my desperate face trying to force a smile, which looked terrible.

Once the parachute opened, it was amazing! I remember shouting "Beautiful!" at the stunning coastline of the North Shore, the bright blue sky, and the white clouds. I am grateful to my son for inviting me to have this incredible experience just before I turn 50!

My son, who jumped right after me, came down with a pale face and struggled to walk. He felt nauseous immediately after jumping and said everything went dark for a moment. He continued to feel sick for a while and said he would never do it again. I think it was because he didn't watch the video in the car, didn't properly check the safety tips, and didn't pay attention to how to breathe. When I told him this, he reflected deeply on it.

I believe the instructor, knowing my son is young, gave him some extra spins and excitement. I remembered being told, "If you don't like spinning, just say slow down," so I shouted that to my partner while descending. My son didn't hear it properly, so he kept getting spun around.

Since skydiving is a matter of life and death, I recommend participating without taking anything lightly. My son wants to take on the challenge again, having learned from his experience. I also think I would love to participate again if given the chance; it was the best experience!

Being able to do this with my son just before turning 50 has become a wonderful memory! Thank you very much!

私は「回転するのが嫌だったらスローダウンと言いなさい」と言われたのを覚えていたのでパートナーに降りながら叫びました
息子はちゃんと聞いていなかったので回され続けたのだと思います
命のかかっているスカイダイビングですから、やっぱり１つ１つを軽視せず参加することをお勧めします
息子は反省を踏まえてもう一度リベンジしたいと言っています

Before we started, I was a bit worried about whether my 7-year-old daughter would be able to do it, but I went first to show her how it’s done. I was surprised to see her bravely crossing the suspended platforms. The instructors and staff encouraged her with "good job!" while my wife, who was watching, kept saying, "That's scary, impossible, impossible. You did it—amazing!"

We also tried the "Free Fall," where you jump from the top of the tower at a height of 15 meters, and the "Giant Swing," which swings like a pendulum when you jump from just below the top (imagine being suspended by a single rope and swinging like a swing). We spent about 90 minutes doing these activities, and it flew by.

Although my daughter couldn't reach the top of the climbing wall, she was very satisfied with the fun and sense of accomplishment afterward. I personally think it's something I can absolutely recommend to those who haven't tried it yet. 　娘は最後のクライミングウオールこそ頂上まで登れませんでしたが、終わった後は楽しさと達成感で大満足していました。
　まだやったことのない方にも私個人的には絶対おすすめできると思います。
　４５歳のオヤジと7歳の娘でも出来たし、インストラクターも付いていて安全面も全く問題ありません。

I participated in skydiving because my 68-year-old mother said she wanted to try it. Although I was hesitant, I decided to join in on this opportunity.

Upon arriving at the site, I received a brief lecture from my partner, Brian, also known as "B2." The cameraman, who seemed a bit unkempt and overly accustomed to his work, kept saying "big smile," which raised my spirits, but my anxiety was steadily increasing.

As we ascended to 4,000 meters in the Cessna, the beauty of the scenery was undeniable, but my face was tense. However, Brian and the other instructors made an effort to relax me and kept me laughing.

When we jumped, I didn't have the luxury to pose for Instagram during the free fall. But once the parachute opened, I let out a sigh of relief. Brian pointed out that was the North Shore and said how beautiful it was, and he let me pull the parachute cords to turn right (which was also a bit scary). He was singing, and I could really feel his love for flying. I kept thinking, "Wow, the ocean and mountains are so beautiful!" while screaming in excitement.

私は尻込みしながらも、せっかくの機会だしということでその企画に乗ったのですが…
現地に着いて、パートナーとなる"B2"ことBrianに簡単なレクチャーを受ける。
撮影用にカメラマン(若干清潔感無いというか繰り返しのworkに慣れすぎ？)がビッグスマーイルとか言ってくるから、テンション上げてたけどビビり指数は着々と上がっていた。

セスナに乗って上空4000メートルに上昇するほど、景色の美しさは確かなんだけど顔が強張ってくる私。
けどそんな私をBrianしかりほかのインストラクターも私をリラックスさせようと笑わせて、気遣ってくれた。

飛び降りて、フリーフォール中インスタ映えする表情する余裕はなかった。笑

けど、パラシュートが開いてほっと一息。
Brianはあれがノースショアだよ、めちゃくちゃ美しいとか話してくれたり、
パラシュートの紐を引っ張らせてくれて右に旋回させてくれたり(それも絶叫系で怖かった)
彼は歌を歌ってた。彼はほんとに飛ぶことを愛してるんだなと感じた。
私はあーすごい、海も山もあー綺麗だーって思っては絶叫の繰り返しではあったけど。

着地してからは、私がビビってたことをわかってたみたいで、私にグッジョブ！とハグしてくれた。

緊張の糸が切れた私も感極まってハグ！私が彼を信頼した瞬間だった。

ハワイの思い出はスカイダイビングしかないというくらいショッキングでエキサイティングな経験でした。
当の母は、フリーフォール中も楽しんでいたようです。

動画撮影はたけーなーって思ったけれど、何度見ても笑えます。
すんごく高いけど、動画だといろんなこと思い出せていいです。

スカイダイビングはめちゃくちゃ怖かったけど、またハワイ行きたい、すぐ行きたい！
Brianとまた飛びたいって思ってしまいました！
日本社会のこと忘れられます！笑
ハワイに滞在してるだけでイライラとか無くなってしまうけど。
あのスリルは日常では味わえない。
これでハワイのこと好きになったと言っても過言ではない。

I participated in beach horseback riding, which is available for those aged seven and older. The weather was nice, and the ocean was impressive and very enjoyable. The free time in Haleiwa was a bit limited. Next time, I want to ride the Dole Pineapple Express as well.

I was worried about going by rental car, but using the navigation system made it easy for the two of us. The activity itself exceeded our expectations in terms of fun; although it was said that it wouldn't be very fast, there was still plenty of thrill, which was great. Many foreigners were wearing shorts, but our shoes and long pants got muddy, so it's definitely better to wear shoes and long pants that you don't mind getting dirty. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes. My wife had no problem driving, but it might be tough for a slender and delicate woman.

レンタカーで行くのが心配でしたが、ナビを使って２人で行けば問題ありませんでした。

I participated with my fifth-grade and first-year middle school children (ages 40) as a group of three! Since we are an active family that enjoys things like obstacle courses in Japan, I really wanted to go to the adventure park and made a reservation while in Japan.

We arrived after about a 30-minute bus ride from Honolulu, put our belongings in a locker, and were ready to go.

Feeling excited, we headed to the Adventure Tower and were surprised! It was taller than I had imagined... My son was a bit nervous at first, but he easily cleared the first mini bungee jump! With the help of the staff, we managed to conquer all the obstacles around the tower, and before we knew it, an hour and a half had passed!

On the day I participated, there were Japanese staff members, so it was fine even if you couldn't speak English! Inside the Adventure Tower, there were some challenging spots where I thought, "I can't do this after all," but the kind staff came to help, which was reassuring! I highly recommend it for active people, so if you're looking for thrills, I think you should definitely give it a try.

ホノルルからバスで３０分くらいで到着し、ロッカーに荷物を入れ スタンバイ完了。

ドキドキしてアドベンチャータワーに行ってビックリ！
想像していたよりも高さがある…
最初はややビビっていた息子でしたが、一発目のプチバンジーも難なくクリア！
その後もタワーの周りのアスレチックをスタッフの方にお手伝いしてもらいながら、無事に完全制覇でき、気がつけば１．５時間が経っていました！

私が参加した日は日本人のスタッフがいたので、英語が話せなくても大丈夫でした！
アドベンチャータワーの中にはちょっと難しくて途中で『やっぱり無理〜』という難関もありましたが、その時は優しいスタッフさん達が助けに来てくれますので、その辺りも心強いポイントです！
アクティブ派にはオススメなので、ぜひスリルを味わいたい方は行ってみるといいと思います。

タワー周りだけでなくもっと山の中を進んでいけるコースがあってもおもしろいと思います！

If the weather forecast doesn't look good, I recommend bringing a waterproof jacket instead of an umbrella. After finishing, I had some time before the bus departure, so I relaxed by the sea in front of the facility.

We participated as a group of three, and my instructor explained some things in Japanese, but the other two did not understand it at all. However, we were able to confirm the poses for descent and landing by watching a movie on the bus, so it seemed there were no issues.

It was my first time skydiving, and it felt great with beautiful scenery; I’m glad I experienced it. I didn’t feel the floating sensation at all. It was a bit hard to breathe before the parachute opened, but there was no prior explanation from the instructor on how to handle this. There was a brief explanation in the video we watched along the way, so I recommend paying close attention to it.

Also, I don’t think it was mentioned on the website, but photography with a cameraman was about $120, and with the instructor's handheld camera, it was about $80. I forgot to ask about video recording. Since I was busy having fun every day, I didn’t muster the courage to ask, but after seeing that scenery, I regret not doing so. The driving was rough, and I got car sick before we arrived! I didn't want to say this since the instructor was older, but I think others felt the same way; despite the cold, we were told to take off our clothes and jump, among other things. Really fun riding the military truck and the hike was awesome. Little challenging for people who aren’t used to hiking. This hike is different because it is full of muds and slippery areas. Also you have to cross the 4 streams. Super fun but not recommended for families with kids.

This was good for 11 yr old boy to be able to get dirty. The guide was nice It seemed a bit short of driving time for the amount it cost. It would be good if there was a car made for shorter people. It was hard to drive because I could barely reach pedals. Had to loosen seat belt to be able to reach anything. My nephew enjoyed it and he is 11 so that is good. Good activity just not a value. Maybe if there was a longer course or more laps.

It was my first time skydiving in my life! The moment I jumped was scary, but it quickly turned into a refreshing feeling, and the view was great—it was an amazing experience! The instructor only spoke simple Japanese. However, the person who could speak a bit more was very thorough in their teaching, which made me feel at ease! I would love to participate again if I have the chance! It was the best experience!
