The Leis were so beautiful. We chose the deluxe leis and they could not have been fresher or prettier. This was a surprise for some in our party and the staff member from Hawaii Activities met us right as we came out of the restricted area at the airport. She was so sweet. Our group - despite the surprise - easily identified that this was for them, and the young lady was so very welcoming that this made the perfect start to our vacation. The leis lasted for about a week when kept overnight in the refrigerator. A very happy reminder of our journey.
In addition to providing the leis, the young lady was very helpful with regard to where we went for baggage, and just help getting us oriented. She answered any question any of our group had and walked with us for some time to answer them. She was so warm and so sweet!!!
Thank you so much for making the start to our dream vacation so special.

Pictures of the two of them with their leis and ecstatic smiles was priceless! Quality was beautiful and still very aromatic and fresh! I would recommend this for anyone arriving in Hawaii!
Thank you!!!

One of the sites that I will never miss out on visiting during my frequent visits to Oahu is the Polynesian Cultural Center. This is an amazing place to spend a day if you are interested in learning more about the history and culture of Polynesia in a enjoyable and entertaining way. I strongly recommend that you spend the extra money and take advantage of the full day Ambassador Package. It is certainly well worth the extra cost! With it you will spend the entire day on a small group tour given by a knowledgeable guide who will take you to all the different villages where you will learn the history and culture of that particular Island from individuals who actually grew up on those Islands. Following a full day of touring the villages, you will eat a large meal. Here, with the Ambassadors Package, you have the choice of eating at the Luau or the Prime Rib/Seafood dinner. If you have or are planning to attend another Luau while you are visiting the Islands, I would opt for th

For first timers, couples, honeymooners, and or families, this special treat of receiving a Lei once you have landed, is a special time. Never thought we would experience such an event, but when we arrive from our red eye flight and just outside the gate, we were greeted with our Lei's that also came with a special note that you can prepared by this company for your Loved one.
I chose the cheaper "silk lei" so it would last forever, vs the fresh flowered lei.
If it's your first time to vist the islands, surprise her, as they will be waiting for you to depart the plane with your name and message on a sign.

We upgraded to the full day, rather than sticking to the late entry. We wanted to have more time to check out the presentations etc. The presentations were interesting and well done. They came over as authentic rather than cheesy or Disneyesque. The staff were excellent all 'round. There were showers passing through, but it didn't take away from our day, as there were plenty of buildings/huts to head into, and showers don't seem to last too long in this part of the world. The entertainment and food at the Luau was good. It did take a long time to get to the lining up and eating part, but there were a lot of people. It would have been better if they started processing the tables through the buffet right after the unveiling of the pig, and we could just watch the entertainment as we went, instead of largely sitting for nearly an hour before anyone started lining up. The HA show was amazing, and I would recommend it too anyone going to Oahu. Overall an opportunity to learn about

I participated with my mother, my sisters, and my aunt. I signed up so that my mother and aunt, who were visiting Hawaii for the first time, could truly experience it. On the day of the event, my mother and aunt got the time wrong and arrived about 30 minutes late, but the staff were very accommodating, and it didn't affect the rest of the schedule.
The activities included making leis and hula lessons, but thanks to the staff's arrangements, we also got to pick and crack open kukui nuts, which was an experience you can't find elsewhere. The teachers were exceptional, providing instruction that you wouldn't normally receive, and my beginner mother and aunt were very pleased. By the evening, they were so engrossed that they were reviewing what they learned at the hotel.
When you think of Hawaii, you might think of sightseeing, shopping, and gourmet food, but I believe participating in a tour like this, where you can touch on Hawaii's history and culture, will create wonderful memories. While going with friends is great, I think participating as a parent-child duo allows for unexpected discoveries and strengthens bonds.
It was a very satisfying tour. Thank you very much. However, while they do provide water, it's just a paper cup's worth per person, so I think it's better to bring your own bottle.

This was a once in a lifetime trip for my family. The lei greeting was a great beginning to a fabulous vacation. I wasnt expecting her to not only greet us off the plane but also help us get our luggage and take us to our next destination point.
My only concern would be, if this was a surprise for someone I could see how someone would walk by them and not read the signs to see that the lei greeting was for them.

This was a full day. Prepare to be exhausted by the end of it. BUT it was well worth it. We paid the extra to use our guide for the day (cousin Cissy) which for sure was the best plan since we would not have seen half of the exhibits and demonstrations that he took us to had we gone it alone. Well worth the extra expense. Cousin Cissy was the best guide - he was totally passionate for his culture and very knowledgeable. He genuinely cared that we saw the best of his people. A perfect day out which ended with an amazing show - a must to see. Our only compaint was the food - it was disappointing and bland. But plenty of it so we did not go hungry.

Our guides, Hannah and Saydie were awesome. They really made our tour special, and were very informative. The HA fire show was amazing !
The only thing that was disappointing was the dinner. There wasn't much of a variety. I went back for seconds and there was barely any food left, and no fruit. It seemed that we were rushed throught dinner. I was very disappointed in what I thought would be an "authentic" luau.

When we got off the plane we were greeted by a woman in a hawaiian dress holding a sign with my daughters name on it.. My daughter was SO excited! She loved her Lei which was perfect and not too big for her little neck. The flowers stayed beautiful during our week long vacation and my daughter loved them hanging off the lamp shade by our bed. An extra bonus was the lei greeter had 2 extra lei's and gave them to us at no charge so we got lei's for the whole family. I would reccomend this for any one who wants to start thier vacation out right!! My daughter loved it and I loved seeing her so happy!

As an "ambassador package group" we were herded around by Elvis. We started out as the first group but somehow ended by late for all the demonstrations. Elvis was in such a rush to get us in place that he provided very little in the way of cultural information. Supposedly the Ambassador group see only the "highlights". The Canoe pageant costumes were first class but the boats looked "tired". Somoa action was well done and very funny. Drumming show in Tonga really energized the audience.

Everyone says that PCC is the #1 place to go when you're on Oahu, but I don't get it.
Yes, there are a lot of things to do there but it's mostly walking around and looking at different artifacts and recreations. It wasn't a big deal to me, especially since most people file all that information under M for "meh" after they leave the place.
One thing that really rubbed me the wrong way was that they kept pushing their $5 "Island Deelite" ice cream bowls on everyone, but only after forcing people to sit in 90-degree weather with no shade.
There wasn't enough of a gap in between lunch and dinner for me... you can't give people a buffet lunch and then expect them to dive into a buffet dinner less than five hours later, with Island Deelite ice cream in between of course. The after-dinner show was pretty good, but kind of cliche for me and had more of the "meh" factor from before.
The main thing that rubs me the wrong way is that the PCC is run by a church, so they don't really co
