If you are using the shuttle bus, I recommend dashing to the ticket counter located to the left front after you exit the first building (the shop or café) you enter. When a large group arrives by bus, you can spend quite a bit of time waiting in line here.

You are not allowed to carry even a body bag while horseback riding, but there are quite large pockets on both sides of the horse, so you can fit a compact camera, smartphone, or a 100 yen raincoat. It's not too dirty, and you can access your items while riding.

Many reviews mentioned the smell of the helmets, so I brought a non-woven sheet to place inside the helmet. Well, it's just a comfort measure. There was also deodorizing spray available at the helmet storage area. I noticed while riding that the chin strap smelled worse than the helmet. Since it's made of fabric, there's not much you can do about it. Maybe just wipe it with wet wipes before use?

Additionally, I experienced a little trouble. I made the reservation about three days before leaving Japan. The voucher I received stated a 10:30 pickup and 11:15 horseback riding, which was impossible to make. The contact information on the Veltra site directed me to contact Kualoa Ranch directly. I reluctantly emailed Kualoa Ranch, but received no response, and left Japan without clarity. After arriving in Hawaii, I had the hotel concierge make a confirmation call. I’m not sure if they changed it based on my email or if there was just a mistake on the voucher, but I was relieved to find out that the horseback riding was at 12:15. The next day, I received an email from Veltra saying, "There has been a change to your voucher." It was a result of my own efforts, though (laughs). The following day (the night before the horseback riding), I received a call from Veltra in my room. I appreciated the sincerity of the call, but honestly, if inquiries are to be made between the parties involved, I think there’s no point in going through Veltra.

ヘルメットの臭いのことを言われているレビューが多かったので、不織布シートを持っていってヘルメットの内側に当てて使いました。まぁ気休めです。ヘルメット置き場には消臭スプレーも置いてありました。乗馬中に気づいたのはヘルメットよりあごひもが臭うんだってこと。これは布製なので対処しようが無いかな。使う前にウェットティッシュで拭くくらい？
あと、私が体験したちょっとしたトラブル。日本を出る３日ほど前に予約を入れました。届いたバウチャーには10:30ピックアップで11:15乗馬となっており、間に合うわけがありません。ベルトラのサイトからの問い合わせ先はクアロア牧場に直にお問合せを、となっています。仕方なくクアロア牧場に問い合わせのメールをしましたが返事は無く、はっきりしないまま日本を出発。ハワイに到着してからホテルのコンシェルジュに確認の電話をしてもらいました。私からのメールで変更してくれたのか、単にバウチャーに誤記載されていたのかはわかりませんが、乗馬が12:15になっているとのことで安心しました。その翌日にベルトラから「バウチャーに変更ありました」のメールが来ました。自分で対処した結果なんですけど（笑）。そのまた翌日（乗馬に行く前夜）にベルトラの方から部屋に電話がありました。電話までくださったことには誠意を感じますが、（すごく細かい内容なわけでもない）問い合わせを当事者間でするなら正直ベルトラを通す意味が無いと思いました。

Kualoa Ranch is beautiful and probably my favorite place on Oahu. There is so much to do there! This is a bus tour that offers an awesome experience driving through the heart of the ranch and listening to the guides commentary about the different movies that were filmed there. The bus makes multiple stops along the way so you can get out, walk around, and take pictures as you please. Overall good tour. The guide was very knowledgable and made it fun. Looking for something to do on Oahu, check out Kualoa!

I rode a UTV for two hours in the morning amidst stormy weather with strong winds and sunny intervals. Although we had a roof and ponchos, I ended up completely soaked, so it was a good decision to bring windproof and warm clothing as well as a change of clothes. The atmosphere was just like Jurassic Park, which really lifted my spirits. The UTV provided a thrilling and powerful driving experience. There were great views and humorous props, making the two hours fly by.

2-Hour Horseback Riding Course

Unfortunately, it was raining quite heavily...
I wanted to cancel, but I couldn't.
I went wearing a raincoat.

The horses were very cute and it was fun!

I got completely soaked from the rain, and without a towel, waiting for about an hour for the bus in the cold was hell.
I really wished they had towels available...

Even though the horseback riding was scheduled for 11:00, I was picked up at 6:50 in the morning for some reason.
It took 45 minutes to get to Kualoa Ranch.
That left us with almost four hours of free time.

There are places to eat, but there were very few chairs indoors.

The horseback riding ended at 13:00, and the next bus was at 14:30, so we had to wait again.

I wish they had provided information about the bus schedule before making the reservation.

I recommend booking without transportation and using Uber or a taxi to get there.

The horses were adorable, and the scenery was amazing.
It would be perfect to go on a sunny day!

We rode in a five-seater car with two people! Along the way, we stopped at a spot with stunning scenery to take plenty of photos and switched drivers. With just one person, you can't take photos while driving, so it was definitely better with two!

As advice, be aware that dust can get on your face and nostrils, making them dirty, and there can be sudden downpours along the way. It's a good idea to have a mask or a handkerchief to cover your mouth and nose! Protective glasses and camouflage ponchos are available for rent. Even if it’s not raining when you set off, it’s better to borrow them. The rain can come on suddenly and be very heavy.

I previously experienced a horseback riding course, but this time we went to a different location, allowing us to see another side of Kualoa. It’s truly a place I love and can enjoy no matter how many times I visit!

以前乗馬コースを体験しましたが、そのコースとはまた違う場所に行けて、クアロアのまた違う景色が見れたので本当に何回行っても楽しめる、大好きな場所です！

Our guide was fantastic, he told us all kinds of information about the landscape and surrounding area. The trail was beautiful as were the views and the blowhole was super cool. Hanauma bay was gorgeous, unfortunately we didnt get to snorkel because they had to close the bay down due to multiple jellyfish stings, but our guide was accommodating and came back early to get us.

It has been my dream to go horseback riding in Hawaii with my family, and it finally came true. I was wondering if we could ride for two hours, but with the breathtaking scenery and the well-behaved horses, I felt no anxiety, and the time flew by. The facilities were all clean, and the hamburgers and acai bowls we had afterward were delicious! I will never forget the relaxing view I had while riding the horse.

My husband and I had our first experience with SUP. The instructor, Mieko, provided thorough explanations, allowing us to feel at ease during the experience. Following her advice to jump sideways instead of forward when falling for safety, my husband jumped sideways quite well.

Although the weather had been bad until the day before, we were fortunate that the conditions were great on the day itself. While paddling and enjoying the natural scenery of the clear sea and distant mountains, we quickly arrived at the island offshore.

Thank you for taking photos as well. They became a wonderful keepsake. I would love to try it again if the opportunity arises!

落ちる時は安全のために前でなくて横にジャンプして！のアドバイス通り、主人はしっかり横ジャンプしてました。

I had a horseback riding experience that took us around locations from a two-hour movie. At first, I was really scared. Horses have emotions and personalities too, after all! I encountered a free-spirited horse named Goobee, and I was able to have various experiences while being guided by a staff member. Since it was January, we encountered some rain, but my UNIQLO Pocketable Parka came in handy, so I recommend it for those who want to experience this during the rainy season. If it rains from the start, it seems there are rental items available as well. You can only bring your phone or a waist pouch, probably to avoid any hindrance while the horse is running. There are also paid lockers available for other belongings ($5), and only $1 to $5 bills are accepted. Although it was only about two hours, I really felt how free my daily life is. This was my second time participating. The free time was long, and the explanations on-site were easy to understand, which was reassuring. Having lockers and changing rooms was really helpful. I was happy to eat the pizza again, which was very delicious last time. I had planned to ride my bike to the city, but I was caught in heavy rain, so I gave up on renting a bike this time. However, I would like to try biking next time!

前回とても美味しかったピザを、また食べられて嬉しかったです。自転車で街まで行く予定でしたが、大雨に降られてしまったので今回は自転車レンタルを断念しましたが、次の機会には自転車で行動してみたいです！

Riding while feeling the nature was a valuable experience. The 2-hour course was more than enough to enjoy it. Basically, you control the horse by yourself, but since the horses are trained, they follow the horse in front of them. When they occasionally stray off the path, the ranch staff provides support, which is reassuring. My family, who had only experienced riding with someone pulling the reins, was initially scared, but they soon got used to it and enjoyed themselves. I would like to participate again!
