A super fun adventure!

It was myself and my 17 and 16 year old sons. The tour guides on the trail at the ranch were really nice and informative. So cool to ride through the ranch, up the mountain and overlook the water. Beauty every where you looked. Also, the scenes were movies were filmed was fun to see.
You do get dirty - it was very dry when we went so lots of dust. If it’s wet I image you’re covered in mud. They give you goggles and buffs to cover your nose and mouth. You need them! Another reviewer suggested to bring wipes to wash your face afterwards- solid advice. We did that to get some of the dirt off our faces. Plenty more came off in the shower. Haha
The bus to/ from was comfortable and clean. Only not so great thing I can say is there was a very long wait time from when we arrived at the ranch until our scheduled tour started. Had I known that I maybe would have rented a car and drove up on our own. Price would have been Equivalent, and plenty of other places to stop in along the way. All in all it was a great adventure and I definitely recommend it!

This was so much fun!!! You definitely get super dirty but it is so worth it! You get to see so much of the ranch and the different valleys! We had Jessica as one of our tour guides and she was awesome! She did a lot of fun things with the group to make the experience more fun! If you love Jurassic World, you will love being able to see some cool things from the movie. Definitely a fantastic experience!

The entire experience was wonderful, especially the captain and crew. The food and drinks were great as well. My only complaint is that I wish our time at the sandbar was longer! We spent a good while at the snorkeling reef, but I wish our time at the sandbar was equal in length. 10/10 recommend!!

For safety, you will wear a helmet, goggles, and a take-home Kualoa-patterned cloth mask. This is because you'll be kicking up sand and dust for two hours. Our family of four shared one vehicle. The driver must have a valid driver's license. If there is no licensed driver, a Kualoa instructor will drive for you.

There are breaks at key points where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery, take photos, and explore movie set locations—it's a packed two hours. After the activity, when you look in the mirror, you'll be covered in dust, and you'll end up laughing as you look at each other. That's the vibe.

Since it's hot, please bring plenty of water.

I highly recommend it.

It was something that could be enjoyed by everybody, those more adventurous or for those who wanted to “chill.” The sandbar they took us to was a beautiful place and the snorkeling location was awesome. The weather was mostly cloudy, but it hardly rained. The contrast between the white sandbar and the surrounding sea was beautiful. At the turtle point, I encountered many sea turtles, and they were adorable. A little further away, there were a few manta rays, and everyone was excited to see manta rays during the day, which is quite rare! Of course, I was too! This was my second time at the sandbar, and although I haven't experienced perfectly clear weather yet, just being able to see the beautiful contrast of the sea is soothing for the soul!

It was the highlight of my vacation!

I can’t believe it took this long for me to try this excursion. It is an activity I will add to every visit to Oahu. The experience and view is like no other. I was a little worried because I have a younger child (11 yrs old) and we have been kayaking in the past but it only took us 35 minutes to get to the sandbar. Once the rust shook off we were able to get back in 25 minutes. The people on-site were very helpful and supportive. They made sure you had everything you need snorkel equipment, life vests, and dry bags. I would suggest the eight hour if you plan to snorkel at another location outside of the sandbar. That way you can conserve your energy for paddling back.

Authentic experience in a state park! All the staffs were attentive and kind, gave us a good explanation and took care of us. It’s refreshing to find non-commercial experience in a very touristic island. We very much enjoyed our kayak ride.
We visite parts where we could snorkel to swim with turtles and went to sandbar to swim in a picturesque water.

I was picked up by a large bus near my hotel in Waikiki and arrived at Heeia Harbor (which apparently was one of the filming locations for Pirates of the Caribbean) in just under an hour, where I boarded one of the catamarans. From there, Yukiko, a staff member from Japan, provided a thorough and reassuring guide. First, we arrived at a sandbar and practiced snorkeling in the shallow waters with white sand. In the background, we could see Kualoa Ranch, used in the filming of Jurassic Park, and Chinaman's Hat, with Yukiko taking plenty of photos against this backdrop. After playing for a while, it was lunchtime. The BBQ-style hamburgers were delicious, and eating them on the sunlit boat was the best! After the meal, the boat moved to a spot where we could see sea turtles. We encountered quite a few sea turtles and manta rays before heading to the final point. Snorkeling around a coral hill the size of a soccer field was a bit daunting for me, but I saw many fish underwater. I heard there are sea turtle nests here, but I didn't get to see them. After snorkeling, we received warm drinks and returned to port. Looking back, it felt like it went by in a flash, but I was able to experience so many new things! I enjoyed the pleasant breeze and the blue sky with the Hawaiian flag fluttering on the boat. I'm really glad I participated in this tour!

ワイキキのホテル近くで大きなバスにピックアップしてもらって1時間弱でHeei’wa(?)のハーバー(パイレーツオブカリビアンのロケ場所の一つだったらしい)に到着してカタマランの一つに乗船。ここから先は日本スタッフのユキコさんが丁寧に案内してくれて安心。まずサンドバーに到着して白砂の浅瀬でシュノーケリングの練習。後ろにはジュラシックパークの撮影で使われたクアロアランチやチャイナマンズハットが見えて、これをバックにユキコさんがバンバン写真を撮ってくれる。暫く遊んだ後はランチタイム。BBQ仕立てのハンバーガーは香ばしくて日光が降り注ぐボートの上で食べるの最高！食事の後ボートは海亀が見れるポイントへ移動。結構な数の海亀とマンタに出会えて、いよいよ最後のポイントへ。サッカーグラウンドほどの広さがある珊瑚の丘の周りをシュノーケリングするのは初めての自分にはちょっと勇気がいったけど水中には沢山の魚が見れた。ここには海亀の巣穴もあるらしいけど会えなかった。シュノーケリング終えて温かい飲み物をもらって帰港。振り返ってみるとあっという間だったけど、いろんな(しかも初めて！)体験ができて、海風にたなびくボートに掲げられたハワイの旗をなびかせる心地よい風と青い空を楽しめて最高！このツアーに参加して良かった‼︎

We were not able to stop at all the sites which was disappointing. I was looking forward to taking pictures of things on the brochures and so I was disappointed. The time in between arrival and your event needs to be planned better. We had to wait two hours before the UTV tour and then another two hours after were were able to board the bus to go home. It would have been great to do another tour of something instead of waiting.

This was one of the easiest excursions we did on Oahu. Transportation to/from Waikiki, funny/friendly/knowledgeable hosts, bbq lunch and drinks were great, and the snorkeling gear and other ocean fun gear was included for the family. Definitely recommend!

This was such a blast! My daughter and I rented a tandem canoe and spent a glorious day around the reef fields. We would come up on a drop off, drop anchor in a shallow area and then just turn on the GoPro and swim down the reef wall with the schools of fish as our guides. Many different species of fish, a few octopus, and sea snakes. We could also hear the “crackling” of the coral (which sounds like Rice Krispies in milk), which was something you can’t appreciate when you’re in large groups of people because of the noise. Amazing experience— would do it again, but be sure and bring your “reef safe” sunscreen.

I was a bit anxious about whether the pickup location was correct since it was also the trolley bus stop and a pickup point for other tours, but I felt reassured when a staff member wearing a T-shirt that said "Angel's Sea" came to greet us.

The boat had a mix of Japanese and other nationalities, but we had a Japanese guide who provided all the explanations in Japanese, which was great. Angel's Sea was incredibly beautiful—like a different world. Standing in the middle of the ocean and being able to walk around was amazing! The weather was nice, and the contrast between the sea, mountains, and sky was stunning. Playing beach volleyball at Angel's Sea was a lot of fun. Later, during the sea turtle watching, we were able to see many sea turtles, and a manta ray even came close to the boat.

The highlight was definitely the last snorkeling session, where I encountered sea turtles and was able to swim with them. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time snorkeling, but the guide at Angel's Sea provided a briefing, and we practiced breathing and swimming, so it was fine. Even a toddler who was crying during practice was amazed by the beautiful coral and fish once we actually went snorkeling. Even if you think you can't do it, I recommend trying to get in the water just to see, as you’ll be wearing a life jacket.

On the way back, there’s time to change on the boat, so bringing a wrap towel for kids allows for changing on the deck. The air conditioning on the bus was very strong, so I think it’s better to change. The hamburger for lunch was the best one I had during this stay, as they grilled the patty right on the boat!

船は日本人とそれ以外の国の方との混載でしたが日本人ガイドさんが付いてくださり全て日本語での説明だったので良かったです。天使の海最高に綺麗でした。別世界です。海の真ん中に立って歩けるなんて！天気も良かったので海・山・空のコントラスト最高に綺麗でた。天使の海でのビーチバレー凄く楽しいデス。その後海亀ウォッチングでは沢山の海亀見ることが出来てマンタも船のそば迄来て見る事が出来ました。
何と言っても最後のシュノーケリングでは海亀と遭遇し一緒に泳ぐ事が出来ま
した。シュノーケリング始めてだったので不安でしたが、天使の海でガイドさんがレクチャーしてくれてそこで呼吸の仕方や泳ぐ練習ができるので大丈夫デス。幼児の子も練習の時は出来ないと大泣きしてましたが、実際シュノーケリングし
たら綺麗な珊瑚や魚に感動していました。出来ないと思ってもライフジャケット付けてるので海に入って見るだけでも挑戦した方が良いと思います。
帰り船の中で着替える時間があるので子供が使う巻きタオルを持参するとデッキ等で着替えが可能です。往復のバスの中は凄く冷房が効いているので着替えた方が良いと思います。ランチのハンバーガー船の上でパテを焼いてくれてこの滞在の中で食べたバーガーで1番美味しかったです！

We participated with two adults and two children aged seven. Since we can't speak English, we hoped there would be Japanese staff, and we were pleased to find that there were indeed Japanese staff members. The explanations for activities like snorkeling were provided separately in Japanese and English, which made us feel very comfortable participating.

In particular, Yukiko, the Japanese staff member, was very kind to us. Thank you very much.

We were thrilled to see many turtles from the boat, and during snorkeling, we were lucky enough to encounter a turtle and swim together for a while. The hamburgers for lunch were also very delicious.

It was truly a satisfying tour. If we have the opportunity, we would love to participate again.

A Must-Do for Locals and Visitors!

Honestly, my expectations for this tour was not high. Reviews seemed mixed all around (i.e., Yelp, Google, etc.) and what I "really" wanted was the tour that had all the additional activities, i.e., banana boat, stand-up paddle board, but it was completely booked. However, the experience on this specific tour was sooooo much better that I anticipated. I booked the reservation for 17 (14 adults + 3 children), with most visiting from the East Coast mainland with even quite a handful of locals for which this was their first time to Sandbar, and they were more than accommodating to our large party. At first, I thought the time allocation was too short for each excursion (1. Sandbar (1-hr), 2. Turtle watching (15 min.); 3. Snorkeling (1-hr)), but it was perfect! Any longer and it would have felt drawn out. The lunch tasted better than I expected. Not too little and definitely not too much (otherwise the kids would have vomitted!). So don't be discouraged by it JUST being a BBQ burger -- you'll be pleasantly surprised. Drinks were available on board - non-alcoholic (free) and alcoholic ($5 each) and they had quite a variety so don't worry about being parched! The boat staff was super energetic and had a really cool vibe. They informed you ahead of time of all the do's and don'ts and was always available to answer any and all questions and concerns. And lastly, the Captain really made the trip memorable! He was a lot of fun and you just knew he loved his job. The weather was perfect, so that too, helped to make the day. Overall, it was a very memorable experience and I look forward to recommending this tour package to the rest of our family and friends, local and visiting.

Capt Bob's sandbar tour was awesome. Capt Eggy and crew were A+. The snorkeling around the mini pop up reef was the highlight of the day. Running around the sandbar was fun. Getting to see Honus along the way was spectacular. Lunch was good. Capt Eggy and crew were very accommodating to everyone's needs. Highly recommend taking this tour. It was worth it.
