Waikiki has a completely different atmosphere. Riding in the great outdoors was very refreshing. I was nervous before getting on the horse, but it seemed well-trained, and my anxiety disappeared shortly after I started riding. I enjoyed the beautiful nature while taking photos!

I wanted to see the filming locations for Jurassic Park and Lost, so I chose the 2-hour course this time, but I started to get a bit bored in the second half. One hour felt too short, while two hours felt a bit too long. In the latter part, I started to feel pain in my legs, probably because I was using muscles I don't usually use.

However, I was able to have an experience that I definitely can't have in Japan, and I'm satisfied!

After surpassing our sixtieth birthdays, my spouse and I decided to join this tour without considering our age, and the result was an experience that exceeded our expectations, turning into an incredibly enjoyable adventure. At the sandbar, the crew set up a volleyball game and casually invited participants to join in, and despite our age, we jumped right into the fun and had a great time (though perhaps some others were annoyed?).

During the sea turtle watch, we not only saw sea turtles but also spotted three manta rays at the same time, making it a truly satisfying tour. However, the BBQ lunch? It was just hamburgers, so was that really BBQ? While it’s true that meat was grilled on the boat...

Overall, the crew and guides were exceptionally cheerful, and we had a fantastic time. Even in our sixties, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Thank you very much!

Since the main restaurant was fully booked and I couldn't make a reservation there, I booked this one instead. I wasn't expecting much, but it was great! The barbecue on the boat (hamburgers) was incredibly delicious and impressive. However, I participated in May, and it was very cold. When the sun was out, it was bearable, but when the clouds came, it was really cold, to the point where it took courage to go into the sea. I got stung by a jellyfish, but thanks to the kind staff, I felt very reassured. They properly treated me. I was also moved to see sea turtles up close! I want to go again when the weather is nice.

クラゲに刺されてしまったのですが、日本人の親切なスタッフさんがいたおかげで、とても安心でした。キチンと処置もしてもらえました。

If you're going to Hawaii, it's a classic choice! The ocean is heavenly and incredibly beautiful! I got totally immersed in snorkeling with so many fish to see. Making my own hamburger for lunch was also fun. I definitely recommend participating!

Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach are beautiful, calm, and absolutely amazing! The sand is pure white, and the sea is a stunning cobalt blue, almost glowing.

Having experience kayaking in Kauai and Okinawa, my husband and I participated without a guide. It was so much fun and liberating! We enjoyed ourselves at our own pace, doing what we wanted, just the two of us.

What’s interesting about kayaking is that it’s easy to paddle and moves quickly, plus your viewpoint is close to the water’s surface. It feels like you’re one with the ocean, allowing you to enjoy the scenery fully.

We kayaked from Kailua Beach to Flat Island, then to Lanikai Beach, and back to Kailua Beach. Along the way, we took our time snorkeling at Lanikai Beach. There are corals scattered around, the waves are gentle, and we saw various fish. The sand at these beaches is so white and soft, it feels wonderful.

The recommended pizza for lunch was incredibly delicious! On the way back, we declined the shuttle and leisurely enjoyed sightseeing in Kailua. The bus that runs around the island is only $2.50, so if you want to enjoy Kailua town a bit longer, extending your stay is a great idea.

Carrying the kayak to the water is a bit challenging, but it’s a short distance, and I appreciate the American mindset of doing things for yourself and enjoying freely with personal responsibility.

The staff were all energetic, friendly, and pleasant. Thank you very much! If I go to Oahu again, I definitely want to kayak here!

島を走るTHE BUSも＄2.5と安いので、もう少しカイルアの町を楽しみたいと思った方は滞在時間を延ばすのも良いですね。

カヤックを海まで運ぶのは少し大変ですが、短い距離ですし、自分のことを自分でやって、自己責任で自由に楽しむ考え方が、なんともアメリカらしくて私は好きです。

I participated in the afternoon session. The weather was very nice, and since the instructor was Japanese, I felt reassured. About 60 people boarded the same boat at once. Most of them were newlyweds or couples.

The sandbar was about knee-deep, but it was incredibly beautiful and I was moved. If you ask the instructor, they will take wonderful photos for you. The meal afterward was hearty and very delicious!

When we arrived at the snorkeling spot, everyone jumped in and started swimming. Many people gave up because it was cold, but the water was warm and there were plenty of fish, so I recommend swimming.

At that time, I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle that was either sleeping or just staying still, and I was able to see it up close!

I participated in the morning tour on May 30th. After being picked up from the hotel around 7:00 AM, we rode the bus for about 40 minutes to the harbor. Once we arrived, we took a restroom break and boarded the boat. There were about 20 to 30 passengers on the boat, and I think they were all Japanese. The local guide, a young woman, provided explanations in Japanese.

As we enjoyed the view of the mountains often used for movie shoots from the boat, we headed to the sea turtle spot in Kaneohe Bay. The guide mentioned that "the wind was calm and the sea was clear," and indeed, the water was transparent, allowing us to see the coral reefs and sea turtles beautifully. Many sea turtles appeared!

After watching the sea turtles, we finally headed to the sandbar. On that day, the tide was high, so we couldn't see the sandbar exposed (the sandbar appears on specific days and times, and it's said to be rare, happening only two or three times a week). However, it was quite a strange feeling to have shallow water up to my shins in the middle of the ocean, and the scenery was beautiful and moving!

When we got off the boat, there was a request for tips, so I put some in the can provided on the boat.

I think we returned to the hotel around 11 AM.

There isn't a place or timing to change, so I think it's essential to wear clothes that are okay to get wet over your swimsuit and to bring a few towels. Also, as it got closer to noon, the sun became stronger, and I got quite sunburned, so sun protection is a must. It was a short tour, but it was a great experience that you don't get to do often, so I'm glad I went! (*ˊૢᵕˋૢ*)

ボートから映画の撮影に良く使われる山並みを眺めながら、カネオヘ湾の海亀スポットへ。この日は「風が弱く海が澄んでいる」とガイドのお姉さんが言っていましたが、本当に海が透明で珊瑚礁と海亀が凄く綺麗に見れました。海亀はいっぱい現れましたよ。

海亀ウォッチングの後はいよいよサンドバーへ。この日は潮が満ちていてサンドバーが陸になっている状態は見れませんでした(サンドバーは陸が現れる日と時間が決まっていて、なかなかお目にかかれません。そんな日は週に2.3日らしいです)でも海の真ん中に足のスネくらいまでの浅瀬があること自体凄く不思議な感じがして、景色も綺麗で感動しました！

サンドバーでひとしきり写真を撮ったら、ボートに戻って準備してサンドバーの端(深くなっていくところ)をシュノーケルしました。珊瑚礁と魚が綺麗でしたが、30人のボート2台分で約60人くらいが一気にシュノーケルするので、行きはいいんですが折り返し地点から折り返そうとすると、向かってくる人とぶつかりそうになったり、人を避けようとするとコースから外れそうになったりして、後半は珊瑚礁どころじゃなかったです。苦笑

シュノーケルが終わるとボートでハムとチーズのサンドイッチとお茶が配られて食べながら帰港しました。(ボートに乗っている間、コーラなど6種類くらい？のソフトドリンクが飲み放題でした。お姉さんにお願いすればコップについでもらえます)
ボートを降りる時にチップのお願いがあったのでボートに設置の缶にチップを入れて降りました。

バスに乗って、ホテルに帰って来たのはAM11時台だったと思います。

着替える場所、タイミングは無いので濡れたままの水着の上に来ても大丈夫な服と、タオル数枚は必須だと思います。あと昼に近づくにつれ日差しが強くなってきてかなり焼けたので日焼け対策も必須だと思います。短い時間のツアーでしたが、なかなか出来ない体験が出来るツアーなので行ってよかったです(*ˊૢᵕˋૢ*)

The blue sky and the crystal-clear water made for the best moments. I was able to see turtles and mantas, and although it was a short time, it was a very fulfilling tour.

It was a day with cloudy skies and occasional rain when I visited (during Golden Week in 2015), but fortunately, it hardly rained at all, and the weak sunlight occasionally broke through, making the color of the sea shine beautifully.

When a sea turtle popped its head up from the boat, it truly made my heart flutter! Just seeing the turtle (which is called "honu" in Hawaiian) is so soothing! For a while after returning home, just thinking about the honu brought me peace of mind.

I really want to go see the honu again! I highly recommend this tour where you can see such turtles! I hope to join the sandbar tour again next time when the weather is nice. I was also able to snorkel with peace of mind.

私が行ったときは曇り時々雨、、というのが気になった日（2015年のGW）でしたが、幸いほとんど雨も降ることなく、弱い日差しが時々入り込み、そのときは海の色が輝いてとてもきれいでした。
そしてウミガメさんが船上から顔を出してくれた時は、本当に心トキメキものでした！！
カメ（ハワイ語ではホヌというんですって）って、ただ見るだけで癒されるんですね～！
帰国後しばらくは、ホヌ様のことを考えているだけで、心ホッとしたものです。。
またホヌ様に会いに行きたいなぁ～、って思っています。

I love Hawaii and its people, so I don't want to write anything negative, but it was just too terrible...

- We gathered early in the morning at the Sheraton meeting point. However, even when it was time to gather, there was no sign of the guide or bus. After waiting for nearly 20 minutes, and seeing that others with the same voucher were also anxious, I called the number on the voucher. The response was normal (in English), and the bus arrived shortly after.

- The person who came out was a dark-skinned man (somewhat homeless-looking). He didn't say a word about the delay and led us into the vehicle without any friendliness.

- Well, we tried to shake it off and after a few minutes on the bus, we arrived at the port. I was excited, but there was no sign of any boat arriving. The guide didn't even say "just wait a moment," and was off to the side smoking a cigarette. He really didn't say anything at all.

- After waiting another 20 minutes, two boats finally arrived, and I thought we could finally board! However, the preparations were slow. Just when I thought we were ready to board, they said, "Americans, Canadians, and Australians, please go to this boat!" and we were directed to board first. After that, a few groups of Japanese people were called to the same boat. Once they all boarded, they said, "The remaining Japanese, come over here!" (in a joking manner, all in English) and directed us to a different boat. While I didn't feel much difference in the facilities or crowding on the boats, I experienced a sense of racial discrimination for the first time in Hawaii. After being made to wait for so long, to receive that kind of treatment without even an apology was quite unpleasant. ・まあ、気を取り直してバスで数十分。港に到着。いよいよかーと思って待ってたものの、それらしき船が到着する雰囲気無し。ガイドのおっさんは、「ちょっとまっててね」すら言わず、はじっこでタバコ吸ってる。本当に何も話さない。

・また20分ほど待つと、船が2隻到着し、やっと乗れるー！と思ったものの、準備はモタモタ。乗船準備が整ったと思ったら、「アメリカ人、カナダ人
オーストラリア人はこっちの船へどうぞ！」と、先に誘導された。その後で、名前を呼ばれた日本人数組が同じ船に。
そして、その人達が全員乗船し終わったら、「残りの日本人はみんなこっちだー！」(おどけ気味、全部英語)と案内され、別の船に。
船の設備や、混み具合で差があった感じはしなかったけれども、人種差別的な雰囲気をハワイで初めて感じとりました。かなり待たされたのに、お待たせしましたもなく、その対応かよ！とかなり不快に感じました。別に片方の船が全部英語だから、話せる人と話せない人で分けた、とかでもなく、どちらも日本語でガイドしてました。

・その後の対応は別に普通、そこそこフレンドリーな感じではあったし、天国の海自体は楽しかった。

・だけど、対応の悪さを考えると、ここはオススメしません。別のツアー会社があるならそちらの方がいいと思います。

・あと、ハワイの州法で、ライフジャケットが義務付けられてると前日のイルカツアーで言ってて、そのツアーでは皆しっかりつけてたけど、このツアーでは「自信ある人は無くても大丈夫！」と言ってました。安全管理平気なの？

・以上です。ベルトラさんはよく利用させてもらってるけど、斡旋先の業者ははっきりいって本当にダメです。

The water temperature was a bit low and it was cold. I thought I would be able to swim with the sea turtles during the sea turtle watching, but we could only see them from the boat. It seems we can't touch the sea turtles. But they were cute! We also saw manta rays! There were many Japanese people, and it was quite crowded during snorkeling, making it difficult to swim as other people's feet kept bumping into me. The fish were very beautiful. Since it was an early morning plan, we were in a hurry, but I think the timing was just right as staying too long would have been tiring. There were many couples and some families as well. It became a great memory!

I participated in the early morning tour. The weather was nice, and the sandbar was very beautiful, which made it enjoyable. This was a tour I hurriedly booked at the last minute, knowing that it was something I couldn't do on my own. I wasn't sure whether to choose the morning or afternoon option, but I went with the afternoon tour, which included various activities.

After getting on the pickup bus from the hotel and arriving at the port, I saw two boats returning from the morning tour, both completely full! At that moment, I realized that this tour should be done in the morning. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day. I comforted myself by thinking that it wouldn't have made a difference if we had gone in the morning. There was only one boat for the afternoon tour.

First, we headed to the sandbar. While it was indeed shallow, the sandy beach shown in the photos was nowhere to be seen. I learned that this beach appears twice a day due to the tides, but it doesn't mean it's visible all the time. The guide mentioned it appears during a full moon, and when I asked when that was, I found out it was today! I regretted not booking the morning tour... At around 10 AM, the tide was low, and the beach was visible. By the time we arrived, it was already past noon, and unfortunately, the water was only knee-deep at its shallowest.

To lift our spirits, the crew invited us to play beach volleyball. While we played for about 40 minutes, they were grilling hamburgers on the boat, which they called a barbecue. Since the toppings were self-serve, it took a lot of time. The boat was already moving to the next snorkeling spot.

I definitely recommend sitting outside with the captain, as there is space for bags there, but nowhere else. Also, the Japanese guests were gathered by the captain for a talk, and we had to enter and exit the boat with him.

You definitely shouldn't sit at the back of the boat. It looks like a good spot, but many people go to the captain's seat to take photos (only the Japanese were doing this...), and they use the seating area as a stepping stone, which makes everything muddy.

It's a fun tour, but I wonder if cramming everyone in without any seating is really the best approach. If that's the case, a tour without any food might have been more relaxing (the floor gets muddy with food scraps... haha).

この日はあいにく曇り。なので朝行っても同じだよね～と自分たちを慰めて出発。昼便のお船は１隻のみです。

まずはサンドバーへ。確かに遠浅ですが写真にあるような砂浜は見えません。
潮の満ち引きによって現れるといわれるこの砂浜は１日に2回あるそうなのですが、いつでも見れるというわけではないようです。
満月のとき、とガイドさんに言われ、では満月っていつなんですか～?と聞くとなんと今日！え～朝便に申し込めばよかったと後悔・・・
このときは朝10時がちょうど引き潮で砂浜が見えていたのだそうです。
私たちが行ったときは既に正午過ぎ・・残念ながらもっとも浅くてひざ下でした。

気分を盛り上げようと船員さんたちがビーチバレーに誘ってくれます。ここで40分くらい遊んでる間に船ではバーベキューと称するハンバーガーを焼いてくれます。
しかしこれが曲者。遊んでないでさっさと船にあがってハンバーガーを受け取るべきでした。
号令がかかってから船に戻ると既に長蛇の列。中に挟む具はセルフで取るのでと～～っても時間がかかるのです。すでに船は次のシュノーケルスポットに向けて移動中。

どんどん人が食べ終わっているのにありつけるまでに30分以上かかりました。
全員分は用意されてるよね、とのんびり構えていたら、なんと具がありませんでした（泣）
日本人ガイドさんに「もうないんですか?」と聞くと、「はい、ありません」とだけ。
悲しい顔をしているとハンバーガーの肉を焼いているおじさんがもう一切れくれました～♪
しかし、ようやく食べ始めたら船は次のシュノーケルスポットに到着。

この間に、ウミガメのいるスポットを通っていきます。でもハンバーガー待ちで並んでいるので全然見えず・・・・

シュノーケルはわりとたっぷり時間があって堪能できました。でも人が多すぎて・・・大きなサンゴの周りを１周するだけで他のところには行かないよう注意されます。

最後にちゃっかりチップの要求はありましたが、とてもこの日本人ガイドさんに渡す気にはなれませんでした。なので他のよくしてくれたスタッフの方にお渡ししました♪
シュノーケルの時間から帰りがけになると時折陽が差して天気が良くなり楽しめました。

もう一度このサンドバーのツアーに行きたいとは思いますが、やはり午前のスナックつきのツアーにするか、他社さんのツアーに参加すると思います。
それくらい、昼食と称するハンバーガー待ちにはうんざりでした。
座る場所もなく立ち食いなので、席は絶対に船頭の屋外をお勧めします。そこなら荷物を入れる場所がありますが、それ以外はありません。そして日本人は船頭に集められて話をされますし船から海への出入りも船頭となります。
間違っても座ってはいけないのは船尾。一見良さそうですがいろんな人が船長席に行って写真を取るので（そんなことをしているのは日本人だけでしたが・・・）座る場所を踏み台にして登るので荷物も座るところもドロドロにされちゃいます。

楽しいツアーではありますが、座る場所もないくらい詰め込むのはどうかな～と思いました。だとしたら何も食べ物がないツアーの方が気が楽だったかも（足元は食べかすなどでドロドロになるんです・・・笑）

It was an afternoon in May, but it was really cold. It was so cold that my lips turned purple. I could only do a little snorkeling because I couldn't stand the cold. A cover-up is a must.
The sea was certainly beautiful, but it wasn't breathtaking. Maybe I had too high expectations...
Lunch included a hamburger, but it was difficult to eat on the boat because of the strong wind... Snacks flew away. I was glad there wasn't a full lunch.
I did see sea turtles and manta rays, which was somewhat enjoyable, but I feel it wasn't worth the price.

It was drizzling and cold. The sandbar had seawater up to my ankles due to the tides, which was different from what I had imagined. However, the staff were lively and seemed to be having fun playing beach volleyball. The hamburgers grilled by the captain were delicious. The live singing with the guitar was wonderful as well. If only the weather had been better, it would have been perfect. But I was able to see a waterfall that is rarely seen.
