On the day I used the trolley bus, there was a festival on Kalakaua Avenue, and it was a pedestrian paradise. Because of that, we had to detour via Kuhio Avenue towards the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The roads were crowded, but the driver was cheerful and chatted a lot, which made it enjoyable.

トロリーバスを利用した日は、カラカウア通りでお祭りをやっていて、歩行者天国でした。
そのために、クヒオ通りを迂回してアラモアナショッピングセンター方面へ行きました。
道路は混んでいたけど、運転手さんが陽気な方で、色々喋ってたから楽しかったです。

I previously used a HIS package tour and found it very convenient, so for this individual arrangement, I applied here. This time, I utilized three routes. The local drivers often provided explanations in Japanese and were very enjoyable to be around. Additionally, the drivers were quite humorous and mentioned that the stopping times were carefully scheduled, which can be quite demanding. However, I believe this is due to the fact that it is managed by a Japanese company, ensuring strict oversight. While there may be delays due to road conditions, I think it’s reassuring that they won’t leave early, which is appreciated by Japanese people who are used to punctual transportation.

以前HISのパックツアーで利用した事があり使い勝手が良いので、個人手配の今回はこちらで申し込みしました。
今回は３ルートを利用しました。
現地の運転手の方は日本語で説明をしてくれたり楽しい方が多いです。あと運転手の方が面白おかしく、停車する時間がきちんと細かく設定されていて大変だよーと話していましたが、これはやはり日本の企業が運行している事できっちり管理されているという事だと思います。道路の事情で遅れることはあるかもしれなくても、時間前にさっさと出発してしまう事はないという事だと思うので、時間通りにきっちりした交通機関に慣れている日本人にとってはありがたいと思います。

In recent years, I have often used a bike for transportation, but since my range of movement was limited, I decided to book a trolley for the first time in a while. I found it convenient because it allows access to various places, but unfortunately, there are few lines available except for the pink trolley.

The photo is from when I used the Malama Line and got off to do some sightseeing. After visiting the main tourist spots, I tried to catch the next trolley, but I ended up waiting for a while at the trolley bus stop because I had some extra time. I also wanted to hike Makapu'u on the East Oahu Scenic Line, but since there was quite a long wait for the next trolley, I decided against getting off and just enjoyed the view from the bus window.

Additionally, some drivers speak broken Japanese and do their best to explain the tourist spots, but since everything is in English, I couldn't understand much. Due to the weak yen, prices are high, but it is relatively empty, which makes it comfortable. I would like to see the revival of coupon services like free one-day passes with the purchase of the Lealea Magazine or discounts on multi-day passes, as we had before.

近年はビキを利用して移動することが多かったのですが、行動範囲が限られてしまうため、久しぶりに今回トロリー を申し込みました。
色々な場所に行けるので便利だと感じましたがいかんせん、ピンクトロリー を除くラインの本数が少ないです。
写真はマラマラインを利用して途中下車し、観光した時の写真ですが、観光スポットを一通り回って次の便に乗ろうとしましたが、時間が余ってしまい、トロリー のバス停でしばらく待ちました。
東オアフの絶景ラインもマカプウトレッキングしたいと思っていたのですが、次の便が来るまでかなり時間が開いていたため、下車を断念し、バスの車窓から眺めるだけにしました。
また、運転手さんによっては日本語がカタコトの方がいらして一生懸命観光スポットの説明をしてくださるのですが、全て英語のため、あまり理解できませんでした。
円安で価格が高い事もあり、比較的空いているのでその点は快適です。
以前の様にレアレアマガジン購入で一日券無料や、数日券割引などのクーポンサービスを復活させていただきたいです。

This is my second visit to the Bishop Museum. No matter how many times I see it, the building and the decorations inside are wonderful.

The dinosaur exhibition area will surely delight children as well.

I was drawn to the East Oahu Scenic Line and decided to book it. During my trip to Hawaii two months ago, I enjoyed the Waikiki Trolley service, so this time I took the same East Oahu Scenic Line with the Lealea Trolley. Both drivers were great at keeping the atmosphere lively, but I found Lealea to be just a bit better; it might just be a matter of luck. I booked a plan for 3 nights and 5 days, but on the day of the Aloha Street Jam, even though I waited at Ala Moana, no buses came due to the crowd, and I was able to get back quickly by taking The Bus right in front of me... I only used the trolley 5 times over the 4 days. I thought maybe I should have gotten a one-day pass. For the less frequent services, I lined up about 40 minutes early at the Royal Hawaiian Center for the first bus. I expected it to be a bit easier to hop on, so I hope they increase the frequency for the popular ones. Also, considering the price of The Bus, I felt that the one-day pass was a bit expensive compared to other trolley buses.

東オアフ絶景・ラインに魅力を感じて申し込みました。今回の2ヶ月前のハワイではワイキキトロリーのサービスを申し込み楽しかったので、今回はレアレアトロリーで同じく東オアフ絶景・ラインに乗車しました。どちらも運転手さんが盛り上げ上手で楽しかったですが、レアレアのほうが少しだけ良かったです、これは当たり外れなのかもですね。3泊5日で４日間のプランを申し込みましたが、アロハストリートジャムがあったひは、アラモアナで待っていても混雑からまったくバスがこず、目の前のザバスに乗るとサクサク帰れました…4日間でトロリー使ったのは5回まで。1日券にすれば良かったかな、と思いました。便数が少ないものは、始発のロイヤルハワイアンセンターで40分前ぐらいから並びました。もう少し気軽に乗れると思っていたので、人気のものは動向をみて便数も増やしてほしいです。あと、ザバスの値段を考えると、一日券が少し高いかなぁ、と他のトロリーバスと比べて感じました。

There were a lot of buses, so I was able to board smoothly without much waiting time. It's convenient for going to Farmers and Ala Moana!

The Hilton Islander had a change in its bus stop, so it might be confusing since other buses also stop on the main street. A few people were waiting, and although the bus slowed down a bit, it did not stop. Some people were confused and ran a little, but the bus just went on. It was disappointing. The sunset timing didn't match well depending on the month, so those who wanted to see it returned to the hotel on the Pink Line. The other lines were good.

ヒルトンアイランダーは、停車が、変更になってましたので、メイン通りの他のバスも停車するので、わかりにくいと思いますが、
数人まってましたが、少し低速にはなりましたが、停車しませんでした。
数人が、戸惑って少し走りましたが、そのまま行ってしましました。残念でした。
サンセットは、月によって、うまくタイミングが、合わず、見たい人は、ピンクラインでホテルへ戻りました。
他ラインは、良かったです。

I only rode it once because I was on another trolley tour, but the Pink Line was a comfortable double-decker bus. As a means of transportation, it felt similar to taking a train.

他のトロリー付きのツアーにしていたため、1回しか乗っていませんが、ピンクラインは二階建ての気持ちいいバスでした。
移動手段としては電車的な乗り方です。

It was a bus that went to the Ala Moana Shopping Center from various hotels, and it turned out to be a bit of a sightseeing tour as well. Since it was a bus that you could ride if you had a JCB card, I would have preferred a different bus.

いろんなホテルによってアラモアナショッピングセンターに行くバスでしたが、ちょっとした観光にもなりました♪。ＪＣＢカードを持っていれば乗れたバスでしたので違うバスが良かったです。

The Pink Line one-day pass allows you to ride on the specified date plus the day before or the day after when you exchange it. (You also receive two tickets.) For long distances, I think it's better to use a taxi for a better balance of time and cost, but if you're just going to Ala Moana Shopping Center, the Pink Line is sufficient.

ピンクライン一日券は、引き換えの時に指定日＋指定日の前日か翌日に乗れます。
（乗車券も２枚くれます）遠距離はタクシー使った方が時間とコストのバランスが良いと思うしアラモアナショッピングセンターいく位ならピンクラインで十分かと

If you don't participate in the tour and adjust your schedule to the bus times, you can also visit the Diamond Bed, and at the photo spots, the staff will assist you with taking pictures.

ツアーに参加せず、バスの時刻に合わせて行動すればダイアモンドベッドにも行けるし、写真スポットの場所では、スタッフさんによって写真撮影を手伝ってくださります。

Taxis are quite expensive, so having this pass is cheap and convenient. I received advice from Mr. Tamura at Bon Voyage Kobe and decided to purchase it. I see, it's highly recommended.

タクシーは結構割高なので　このパスがあれば安くて便利ですと　ボン・ヴォヤージュ神戸の田村さんにアドバイスをいただいて　購入を決定。なるほどお勧めです。

The bus company staff were near the bus stop, and it was easy to identify them because they were wearing yellow aloha shirts. It was convenient to be dropped off right in front of the hotel.

バス会社の人はバス停のそばにおられ、黄色のアロハだったのでわかりやすかったです。
ホテルの目の前で降ろしてもらえたので楽でした。

The parasailing was included for free. We went around Waikiki and headed to Ala Moana Shopping Center. From the second-floor seats, it was wonderful to enjoy the pleasant breeze while looking at the beach and the canals. The friendly and lively talk from the driver was also enjoyable. Mahalo!

I had a great time moving around leisurely while enjoying the scenery to reach my destination. When I go to Hawaii, I mainly rely on the trolley for transportation, so I use it every time.

目的地まで色んなところを回るため、景色を見ながらのんびり移動でき、楽しかったです。
ハワイに行く時はトロリー移動が主なので毎回お世話になっています。

This tour was both powerful and informative. Visiting the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and taking the boat ride to the Arizona Memorial was such a moving experience!

I was able to see beautiful scenery, and it was great that I could take photos along the way. This is my second time on this line, and I would like to ride it again!

I was glad that there were many buses. I think the interval between the next bus was just right. Be careful as it shakes quite a bit inside the trolley.

バスの本数が多いめでよかったです。次のバスの時間もちょうど良い間隔だったと思います。トロリー内は結構揺れるので注意です。

LeaLea Trolley - Complete Coverage of All Routes

The East Oahu Scenic Line offered thrilling views that I thoroughly enjoyed. This time, I rode it four times. The color of the ocean changes depending on the time of day. No matter how many times I ride, the scenery never gets boring. It seems that the first morning trip tends to be crowded.

東オアフ絶景・ラインは、スリル満点で絶景を楽しめました。今回は、4回乗りました。
時間帯により違う海色が見えます。
何度乗っても飽きない景気でした。
朝一便目は混み合うみたいです。

I felt that a trolley is absolutely necessary for a stay in Honolulu. The LeaLea Trolley has many routes, and the courses are set up with tourists in mind, making it very fulfilling. Just riding it allows you to feel the essence of Hawaii, and the cost performance was great.

ホノルル滞在にトロリーは絶対必要だと感じました。LeaLeaトロリーは路線数も多いし、観光客目線でコースも設定されており、充実した内容でした。乗ってるだけで、ハワイを感じれるコスパもグッドでした。

Enjoyed the tour a little better guidance on which line to stand in, or which order events should be taken would have enhanced visit

When you think of Hawaii, you think of the trolley while feeling the breeze. You can enjoy it just by riding along without doing anything, and I believe this is more of an attraction than just a means of transportation.

It's helpful that they sell tickets separately without going through His, but since the pandemic, the discount tricks are no longer available, and it's too expensive, so I reduced my rating. However, you could say it's lucky that it's less crowded than before.

Be careful as the railings are so open that you might drop something. Hats can fly off, and depending on the driver, they might start moving before everyone is seated, and some drivers have rough driving styles. This is not Japan. Everyone should be cautious and take responsibility for themselves, as you shouldn't ride with a Japanese mindset.

Because of this, infants and toddlers can only sit in priority seats that are covered by railings (it feels scary to sit anywhere else). If you start from the first train, staff will guide you to the priority seats, but if you're boarding from the suburbs and there are no seats available, you should actively ask others to make space for the priority seats. Many drivers lack the Japanese language skills to explain this.

やっぱりハワイといえば、
風を浴びながらのトロリー。
何をしなくても、ぼけーっと乗っているだけでたのしめる、これはもはや移動手段じゃなくアトラクションだと思っています。

Hisを通さず旅行しても、
こうやって単品で売ってくれて助かるのですが、コロナ後からは裏技の割引も使えなくなり、高すぎますので星を減らしました。
ただ、昔より空いていてラッキーともいえます。

ものを落としそうなくらい足元の空いた柵なのでくれぐれも注意、
帽子は飛びますし、ドライバーさんによっては着席前の発車もザラ、
荒い運転のかたもいて、
そこは、日本ではありません。
みなさんくれぐれも、日本の感覚では乗らないように、自己責任で。

そのため幼児や赤子は柵が覆われた優先席しか乗れません(怖くてそこじゃないとという感じ)
始発からだと係員に優先席を案内してもらえるのですが、郊外などからのる場合、
空いてなければ自分から積極的に優先席を開けて欲しいと、声をかけましょう。
ドライバーも、それを説明するほどの日本語力がない方が多いので。

やっぱりハワイは、これです。

We loved this longer day as we went 2 years back and did not get enough time, but really did not want to drive. Thank you for a tour inclusive of Missouri!

The trolley is just a means of transportation, so I didn't have any particular issues with the service. I picked up my tickets at the HIS counter on-site, but the staff there was inflexible and quite condescending. I felt they were tired of explaining the same things repeatedly. I wanted to ask just the essential questions since I was short on time, but when I did, I was met with a big sigh and told, "Can you please let me finish speaking first?" which surprised me. Additionally, my child wanted to use the restroom, but I was told it couldn't be used until all the procedures were completed. We ended up going to another restroom in the building. I wished I had bought the tickets without going through HIS.

トロリーはあくまで手段なので、サービスとして特に困ったことはありませんでした。現地で HISのカウンターでチケットを受け取るのですが、そこのスタッフが融通が利かず、高圧的で、同じことを何度も説明されているので飽き飽きしているとは思うのですが、こちらから事前に基本的なことはWebなどで確認したうえで、時間がないので知りたいことだけを、先に聞きたかったのですが、質問をしても大きなため息をつかれて、「まず私の話を最後まで聞いてくれますか？」といわれて驚きました。また子供がトイレを借りたかったのですが、すべての手続きを終えてからではないと貸せない、と言われました。館内の他のトイレに行きました。HISを通さないでチケットを買いたいと思いました。

I used it for two days, and it was convenient and amazing! I plan to use it again from the morning tomorrow! It's great to be able to sightsee by bus.

2日利用しましたが便利で最高でした！明日もまた朝から利用するつもりでおります！バスで観光ができるのは最高です。

In the evening, I had a little time, so I spontaneously hopped on a bus to see the sunset. The sunset in Hawaii is very beautiful, and there was a bride taking photos on the beach, which I thought made for a lovely background. The bus stopped near the beach and stayed parked until the sun went down. It was great to be able to go right to the spot without wasting time, making it a meaningful experience.

夕方、少し時間があったので思いつきでサンセットを見るコースのバスに乗り込みました。ハワイのサンセットはとても綺麗で、浜辺て花嫁さんが写真も撮ってましたが素敵な背景だと思いました。浜辺近くでバスが止まり日が沈むまで停車。ピンポイントで観に行けて時間のロスもなく有意義に過ごせて最高でした。

I chose the LeaLea Trolley for the comparison of East Oahu lines. I also used it for the early morning Black Friday trip to Ala Moana and to the Honolulu Museum of Art. Compared to the bus, it’s easier to understand, but I feel the price is a bit high. I purchased a four-day pass, but since continuous use is a condition, there were some wasted days. There is a free service between Waikiki and Ala Moana, so I think it’s necessary to choose based on the places you want to go. For the Haleiwa area, there are only buses or optional tours, so it would be nice if you could go by trolley.

東オアフラインの内容比較で、LeaLeaトロリーを選びました。
ブラックフライデー早朝のアラモアナ行き、ホノルル美術館行きにも使いました。
バスに比べるとわかりやすいのですが、価格が少し高いと感じます。
４日券購入しましたが、連続使用が条件のため無駄な日が出ました。
ワイキキ～アラモアナ間は、無料サービスがあるので、行きたい場所で選択が必要かと思います。
ハレイワ方面は、バスかオプショナルツアーしかないので、トロリーで行けると良いのですが。

BK was our tour guide and driver. I know now why he was Driver of the Year in 2023. Very knowledgeable on every facet of the tour. It was our first trip to Honolulu and he provided an excellent dialogue on everywhere we visited. (and even some we didn’t!) The bus was exceptionally clean and comfortable and our scheduled pickup was exactly on time at both ends of the tour.
