Perfect setup if you want to do North Shore, but Not sure what activities

My wife and I were staying in Waikiki for a week and everyone said we need to make a trip to the North Shore when on Oahu. We scoured Trip Advisor, Yelp and other Hawaii Adventure sites and this one looked appealing. Turns out to be a great deal if you are looking for transportation to the North Shore and a variety of options to choose from once you get there. We chose to snorkel in the mornng at Sharks Cove then spend an hour at Waimea Bay, then in the afternoon we did the SUP down the river in Halewia.
The tour is setup where they pick you up on a ~20 person bus from multiple Waikiki hotels, then up a narrated drive up to the North Shore which took about 1 1/2 hours all together. Sam was our host for the day and is awesome at his job. Very knowledgable, humourous and makes the tour a good time. Once you are there, you get to see the options for the day such as hanging at the beach of Waimea Bay, surfing, snorkeling, beach bike cruise, Waimea Botanical Gardens, stand up paddle boarding and probably a few others options that I am missing. There is no additional cost to do these unless you want to do more than two. If there was one draw back for the day, it was that we could have enjoyed a few more hours on the beach and shopping at the local surf shops there.
Overall, great trip and glad we did it!

During the New Year's holiday, I participated with my two 9-year-old daughters. As a basic point, Hawaii is cold during this time! On this day, with a maximum daytime temperature of 23°C, it took courage just to dip our feet in the pool. It's unthinkable to get into a pool in Japan at 23°C. But since we were there, we gradually mustered the courage to get in, and once we did, it was manageable. However, getting out was incredibly cold. But we had so much fun that it made us forget the chill!

There were slides for both kids and adults, and we didn't have to wait in line at all. We had all-inclusive tickets, but it was too cold to feel thirsty, so the unlimited drinks weren't necessary. As for lunch, there were a few Japanese options, but the buffet was cold and not recommended. Non-Japanese guests were purchasing lunch from the snack bar, which I remember wasn't too expensive and looked warm and delicious!

The boogie board class was also included. However, due to the cold, I wasn't inclined to participate, but when the staff saw the mark on my arm, they encouraged me to join, and I reluctantly did. To my surprise, it was incredibly fun! The instructor taught us the points for catching waves, and it was the best experience. There is only one spot for catching waves. The point where the instructor is riding is the only place to catch waves, so be sure to pay attention to their movements to find the right spot.

お正月休みで9才の娘ふたりで参加しました。
キホンとしてハワイもこの時期は寒い！！日中の最高気温で23℃のこの日、足をプールに入れるだけでも勇気が必要な程でした。日本で23℃でプールに入ることはあり得ないですから。でも来てしまったからにはと足、腰と徐々に気合いを入れて、入ってしまえばなんとかなります。
でも上がるとものっすごく寒いです。しかしこの寒さを吹き飛ばすほど楽しんです！
こども用から大人も楽しめるスライダーまで、しかも並ぶことはありませんでした。
All Inclusiveのチケットでしたが、寒くて喉はまったく乾きませんから飲み放題は必要なし、ランチは日本人？が少しだけ、ブッフェは冷えていてお勧めできません。日本人以外は売店でランチを購入してました。そんなに高くなかった覚えがあり、しかも温かくて美味しそうでした！
ブギボ教室も含まれていました。こちらは寒さの余り参加するきにならず見ていると、腕に付けたマークを見たスタッフが参加できるからやってみろと誘われ渋々参加したところ、驚く程の面白さ。先生が波のポイントを教えてくれて波に乗ることもでき最高でした。波のポイントはたった1カ所だけです。先生が乗っているところがポインで、そこ以外は乗れませんので先生の動きに注意してポイント探してみて下さい。

Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii Water Park Admission Tickets

My wife and me were at Wet’n’Wind in April 2015. It was an amazing day for us and we will do it again on our next trip to Hawaii! There are green, yellow and red attractions so that everyone can find some good option. We enjoyed the half-pipe (the world’s widest one!). Food is very nice and not expensive at all. Moreover, Wet’n’Wild is not too crowded. We spent not more than 7-8 minutes in the lines and easily found free chaise-longues. In addition, my wife enjoyed swimming in the pool with artificial waves! In the afternoon we found a waterfall where you can swim and take beautiful pictures. The water park has a huge zone for children with a plenty of entertainments for them. We definitely recommend Wet’nWind for your vacation, especially for families with small children. So much fun! And do not forget using sunscreen because the sun is very strong at the water park.

We had a great experience with Paradise Helicopter. The guide was great and we felt safe throughout the ride. We did a 10 min ride of North Shore and that was good for us as the most fun is taking off and landing. Our 4 yr old son enjoyed it very much. Would def recommend!

This theme park has been on my mind since my trip to Hawaii! We decided to go this time mainly due to my husband's strong request.

When we arrived, I was worried it might get cold with the wind, but the sun came out, which was a relief. Unlike theme parks in Japan, we were able to enjoy the slides while wearing sunglasses and water shoes. There were many people barefoot in the park, but it's best to bring water shoes that you can wear the whole time since the ground gets really hot.

I was really looking forward to the slides, but to be honest, I underestimated them... I thought I would be quite good at them, but they were pretty thrilling! The Shaka slide felt like being in a halfpipe, the Island Racer had me floating at one point, and the Tornado really tossed me around, making me scream a lot.

One downside is that you have to carry your own tube (float) from the bottom to the top! This might help keep the crowds down, but there are quite a few stairs, so I saw some people out of breath. Also, it seemed like there were a lot of families.

Since we were mainly there to play, we didn't have lunch. From what I saw at the stalls, the prices seemed a bit high. I tend to get motion sickness easily, so I took some anti-nausea medication just in case.

The small lockers are $15, which is quite expensive, but I think it's better to rent one for safety and peace of mind. You get $5 back when you return the key and receipt.

We played from around 10:30 to 2:00 and ended up exhausted. If you're confident in your stamina, I definitely recommend checking it out!

以前ハワイに行った時から気になっていたこのテーマパーク！特に主人からの強い要望で今回行くことにしました。
着いた時は風が吹いていて寒くなるかもと心配していましたが太陽が出てひと安心。
日本のテーマパークとは違いサングラスやマリンシューズを履いたままスライダーを楽しむことができました。
パーク内では裸足の人も多いですが、できればずっと履いてられるマリンシューズを持っていくといいです。地面が暑すぎるので。
楽しみにしていたスライダーですが、はっきり言って舐めてました…、結構得意だと思っていたのにかなりのスリルがあります！
シャカはハーフパイプをしているような感覚になるし、アイランドレーサーは途中で浮いたし、トルネードもかなり振られて絶叫しまくりでした。
難点は、専用チューブ（浮き輪）を自分達で下から上まで持って行かなければいけないところですね！
それのお陰でそこまで混まないのかもしれませんが、階段が結構あるので息切れしてる人もいました。あと、家族連れが多かった気がします。
遊ぶ方がメインだったのでランチはしませんでした。売店を見た感じではお高めな値段設定なのかなと思いました。
私は乗り物酔いをしやすいので酔い止めも一応飲みました。
ロッカーは小で15ドルとすごい高いですが安心安全の為に借りた方が良いと思いますよ。返す時にカギとレシートを渡すと5ドル返ってきます。
10時半くらいから14時まで遊んでいましたがヘトヘトになってしまいました。
体力に自信のある方は是非一度行ってみてください！

It can be cold when you get back on the boat after swimming with the dolphins, depending on the season! Also, you shouldn't expect too much from the lunch burgers. That said, I had a great time and would love to go again!

The event that was supposed to be fun turned out differently... The kids got seasick. One dropped out before boarding. Just when we were about to snorkel in the sea, another one got seasick and dropped out. We participated as a group of four, but none of us could get into the water... We only saw dolphins from a distance... However, it seems that a large pod of dolphins came that day, and the other participants were happy. It seemed to be a bit tough for the kids who are not used to traveling.

I was woken up early in the morning by a wake-up call, and my kids were grumpy as we bounced around on the bus for about an hour. We arrived on the West Coast and set sail with a high-energy instructor and a group of nice guys. To our surprise, we encountered a pod of dolphins just three minutes in, and we were instructed to jump in!

I thought the dolphins would be easy to spot in the clear water since they are large, but visibility was limited, and you couldn't tell they were nearby. Following the instruction to look down, I continued swimming and, sure enough, there was a pod of dolphins right below us! We enjoyed swimming with the dolphins for about ten minutes, wondering if it was really this easy to see them.

Next, we moved to the sea turtle point. There were so many fish that if you fed them, they would swarm around you. Those who wanted to have fun enjoyed marine sports while swimming and spotted sea turtles. It was moving to see them swimming leisurely, seemingly oblivious to the humans around.

I wanted my 5-year-old and 3-year-old to try swimming with the sea turtles, but since it was their first time swimming in the ocean, snorkeling was too much for them, and they quickly got back on the boat. Even from the boat, we could see dolphins swimming right below us and turtles occasionally popping their heads above the surface, making the boat ride itself a great memory. I hope they can practice swimming and try again.

A beautiful photographer was also on board, and she captured stunning photos for us (for an additional fee). Overall, I was very satisfied! However, since we are dealing with nature, there's no guarantee you'll see them, but this tour has a high probability of encounters.

さらに移動してウミガメポイントへ。ここは魚がたくさんいて餌をやろうものならそれこそ入れ食い状態。で、楽しみたい人たちはマリンスポーツを楽しみながら遊泳し、ウミガメ発見。人間など眼中にないかのごとく悠々と泳ぐさまに感動しました。
５歳と３歳のこどもがウミガメとの遊泳にチャレンジしてもらおうと思いましたがいかんせんまともに海で泳ぐのが初めてではシュノーケルは無理ですぐに船にあがってしまいました。船の上からでもま真下を泳ぐイルカやたまに顔を水面に出すカメを見ることができ、また、乗船自体もいい思い出になったようです。水泳の練習をして再チャレンジを期待したいところです。
船には美人カメラマンも乗船し、見事な写真の数々をデータにしてもらえました。（別料金）
全体として大満足！ただし、相手は自然なので必ずあえるとは限らないが、このツアーがかなりのか確率で会えるとのことです。

So much fun!! The Best Snorkel Tour!

I went out with my brother and it was our first time going to the West Side. we absolutely loved it!

The vessel is brand new and it comfortably accommodates all guest. The crew is very knowledgeable and professional, after the safety briefing they served us a continental breakfast, with a nice variety of fresh fruits and cakes.

By the moment we left the harbor we could already see lots of wild Hawaiian dolphins swimming close to the boat. We were lucky enough to even spot 4 humpback whales, if you are visiting the Island during the winter months you will have big chances of seeing them also.

We've stopped at Makaha Caverns to snorkel. It's absolutely beautiful! The guide was swimming with us around the area and we surrounded by turtles and beautiful colorful fishes.

Lunch was served right after snorkel time, we could make our own sandwiches and choose from barbecue pork, tuna salad, deli meats, cheese, chips and pasta salad. Delicious!

It was a delightful morning, this snorkel tour was amazing! Definitely recommend Hawaii Nautical to everyone seeking for a good time in paradise!

We participated as a family of four! The journey from the meeting point to the destination was surprisingly smooth, taking about 40 minutes.

The weather at the site was sunny, and at first, I thought it might be too hot, but there was a breeze that felt really nice. The Island Racer had four courses, and we could compete as a family of four, which was a lot of fun. It was relatively empty, so we rode it multiple times, and by the end, my legs were sore from the muscle strain.

The Tornado was a bit crowded, but it was thrilling enough to be worth the wait. The water flow was quite strong, and if you didn't hold on tightly to the boat's handrails, you could be thrown off!

The wave pool was different from Japan, with strong waves coming one after another, and the kids were having a blast! The lifeguards were also very attentive, showing that they were concerned about safety.

For lunch, we ordered a burger combo at the central shop! I was really hungry, but the amount of fries in the combo was too much to finish. The only downside was that most of the seating for lunch was taken by Japanese people.

On the bus ride back, I fell asleep in no time; it was a very satisfying day. I definitely want to go again!

トルネードはやや混んでいましたが、並ぶ価値があるくらいスリル満点でした
かなり水流が強く体が振られるので、ボートの手すりにしっかり掴まっていないと振り落とされる可能性あり！

波のプールは、日本と異なり強めの波が次々とやってきて子供たちは大はしゃぎでした!!
監視員もかなり気を付けて見張っており安全性にも気を使っているようでした

ランチは中央のお店でバーガーコンボを注文しました！お腹がとても空いてましたが、コンボのポテトは食べきれないほどの量でした
ひとつだけ残念だったのが、ランチをする場所がほとんど日本人により場所取りされていることでした

帰りのバスではあっという間に眠りについてしまうほど、大満足な1日でした
また是非行きたいです

There was no communication about what kind of bus or car would come for the hotel pickup on the day, and after more than 10 minutes had passed, I tried to contact them but it was difficult to get through. When I finally did, I was told that they would arrive shortly, but I ended up waiting another 30 minutes. When I tried to contact them again, it was hard to get through, and when I finally did, I was told that the bus should have already picked me up. I participated at the end of February! Waking up early in the morning was tough, but there were so many dolphins that it was incredibly moving!! I was told that if you stop breathing through the snorkel, you can hear the dolphins, but there were so many dolphins that even while breathing normally, I could constantly hear their sounds!

Unfortunately, the waves were too high, so we couldn't do any marine sports, and the speaker broke, so we couldn't do the hula dance either. We were sent back to the hotel 1 hour and 30 minutes earlier than planned. I was happy to see a lot of dolphins, swim with turtles, and even see whales, although they were far away, but I wonder about the schedule not being adjusted despite the issues? Because of that, I didn't leave a tip.

I understand it's a business, but $60 for the photo CD is expensive! My friend wanted it, so I ended up buying it, but it's disappointing that we had to pay a high price for a CD that included other people besides us. I was advised not to take a camera while snorkeling with the dolphins, so I left it behind, but now I regret not bringing it.

朝早くから起きるのは大変でしたが、イルカがこれでもか!?っと言うほどいっぱいいて、超感動!!
シュノーケルの呼吸を止めるとイルカの声が聞こえると言われましたが、イルカが居すぎて、普通に呼吸していても、常時キュ～と言う声が聞こえていました～!!
残念なのは、波が高すぎて、マリンスポーツをやれず、またスピーカーが壊れてしまい、フラダンスも出来ず、予定より1時間30分早くホテルに帰されてしまいました。イルカもいっぱい見れて、亀と泳ぎ、遠かったけどクジラも見れてHAPPYでしたが、色々とスケジュールが抜けてもそのまま、っていうのはどうなんだろ？
そのため、tipは払いませんでした。
あと、商売なのは分かるけど、写真のCDR＄60は高い！友人が欲しい!!っと言っていたので、結局買いましたが、自分達以外の人とかが載ったCDRを高額で買わなきゃならないのは残念。
イルカのシュノーケルの時にカメラを持って行くのはお勧め出来ないと言われ、カメラを置いて泳ぎましたが、持って行けば良かったと後悔してます。

First of all, it’s a coastal area, but since we go out into the open sea, it can get rocky. I got seasick, even though I’m usually fine with marine sports.

As for the dolphins, it seems that most of the approximately 30 participants were able to see them, but I couldn’t.

I was more impressed by the snorkeling than the dolphins. The water clarity was amazing!! It was about 10 meters deep, I think. The high transparency made it feel like I was flying in the sky, and the fish were beautiful, which was very moving. I’ve done snorkeling on other tours, but this one was by far the best!

The staff’s enthusiasm to help us see the dolphins and their desire to make it enjoyable was a very likable aspect of the tour.

まず、、、沿海ですが外海に出ますので揺れます。
そして酔います。普段からマリンスポーツでならしている私でも酔いました。

イルカですが、ツアー参加者30人程度の大多数が見れたようですが、
私は見れませんでした。

といった感じで飛び込みます。一緒に泳ぐという感じではないかな？
そして、必死に泳いで水中を見回すと見れるようです。

ノリにくい日本人を必死に盛り上げるスタッフの姿が印象的。

私はイルカよりもシュノーケリングに感動しました。
水の透明度がすごい！！
水深10mくらいでしょうか。
透明度が高いのでまるで空を飛んでいるようで、魚もきれいで、とても感動しました。
他のツアーでもシュノーケリングしましたが
ここのがダントツです！

なんとかイルカを見てもらいたいというスタッフの熱意と
楽しませたいという思いが好感持てるツアーでした。

The concept is great. Transport is reliable, clean and on time. The tour guide, Harry, was entertaining and very friendly. The only thing we would suggest is that surfing be offered as one of the activities - it is after all what the area is best known for!
I would recommend this for anyone who wants an active day.

Our family of 6 adults from Brisbane Australia loved this whole day tour. Our driver / tour guide Sam picked us up from our hotel on time, & drove safely. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about Oahu, and explained all the sights on the way to the North Shore - he make the entire trip an awesome experience. He gave us a drive by & quick stop at each of the available activities before we chose them, then dropped us all to our chosen areas. 3 of us chose bike riding along the famous surfing beaches where we could stop and have beach time as we liked; the other 3 the walk through the beautiful gardens to the waterfall. Though a lovely walk, it is quite a long one, for anyone older. If you want a swim at the Falls, take cash for a compulsory life jacket hire! From there we walked back to Waimea Bay beach for a swim until our bus pick up. Our next activity for 4 of us was SUP (stand up paddle boarding) and 2 did kayaking. We LOVED this time on the water and would have liked to have a bit less time on the morning activities and more time for the afternoon ones! After, we walked through the town and sampled the Shaved Ice and some delicious lunch before boarding the bus completely satisfied with our day. We did several different tours while in Waikiki, and this was BY FAR the very best for the sightseeing, and activities on offer, plus the freedom to have our own time was fantastic. We were REALLY impressed with Sam the driver & happy to tip him well for his outstanding service - he contributed in a big way to making it the best tour during our time in Hawaii. Thank you Sam! I would highly recommend this tour, well worth it and we have great memories of our day.

Last year, the kids went to Wet'n Wild for a summer program and had so much fun that they decided to participate again during our stay in Oahu. Since it was the off-season in February, it was only open on weekends, so there were fewer visitors, and it seemed like there were more locals. They rode the Tornado and other attractions with local kids, and it was scarier and more fun than they expected. We rented a cabana, which allowed us to relax in the shade, and since we signed up for a plan that included lunch and free drinks (the containers were unique), the kids were happy. The taste of the lunch was... but the kids, who were starving after swimming, were satisfied. The shuttle service was smooth, and they fell asleep on the bus ride back. I think it's easier than going by rental car. I would like to sign up again next time.

去年子供たちがサマープログラムでWet'n wildに行き、とても楽しかったらしく、今回のオアフステイでも参加することに。2月のオフシーズンだったので週末しか営業していなかったので、入場者自体少なくロコの方が多かったように思います。地元の子供達と一緒にトルネードや他のアトラクションに乗ったりしましたが、思っていた以上に怖くて面白かったです。カバナを借りていたので、日陰でゆったりも出来ましたし、昼食とフリードリンク付き(容器が独特です)のプランに申し込みしていたので子供達は喜んでいました。昼食の味は……でしたが、泳いでお腹ペコペコの子供達は満足してました。送迎もスムーズで、帰りのバスで爆睡してました。レンタカーで行くより楽だと思います。次回も申し込みたいです。

On the day of our visit, the sky was cloudy and it was still a bit chilly. The pool was cold...

The slides were thrilling and great. We participated in the deluxe course, which included a 30-minute bodyboard lesson, and we had the wave pool all to ourselves. I recommend it for beginners, especially for kids. My child (8 years old) really got into it.

Overall, it felt a bit outdated, but if the weather is nice, I think it's a fun place for families with children.

The best time to visit is after April when it starts to get warmer.

スライダー系は迫力満点で良かったです。
今回、デラックスコースで参加しましたが、ボディーボードレッスン付（30分）で
波のでるプールを貸切にして行われます。

うちの子（８才）はすっかりはまってしまいました。

全体的にはちょっと古くなってきている感はありましたが、天候が良ければ子供連れには

My friends and I were finally able to get together on Oahu, and we knew that we wanted to spend it out on the water. This cruise was the perfect choice since we got to snorkel at TWO spots (both filled with fish, coral, urchins, etc.), sipped on cocktails, devoured plates and plates of food, watched the sunset AND got to see whales! We literally couldn't ask for more!

After leaving the harbor, we headed out to the first snorkel spot and got the first glimpse of whales and after we got out of the water (which was really warm by the way), we saw even MORE whales!

The food was really hearty and filling (pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, a really tasty pasta salad, white rice, veggies and fruit) and the crew kept all of our drinks topped up :)

Really happy that we got to go on this cruise, and can't wait to go again on my next visit!

I had a really great time!
We were blessed with good weather and were able to see many dolphins! I'm truly happy to have encountered sea turtles as well!
The guide was a bit scary, but explained everything thoroughly!

The boat sways quite a bit, so it's definitely better to take motion sickness medication.

I tend to get motion sickness, so I took anti-nausea medication on the morning of the trip, but I started feeling sick on the way back and ended up vomiting... The staff advised me that it's better to take the medication starting the night before. Since the boat sways quite a bit, I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take it the night before. Although I got seasick, I was moved to be able to swim with wild dolphins!☆

It was a beautiful, sunny, windy day, the waves were choppy and the dolphins were no where in sight but the humpback whales and the green sea turtles made up for it. From the time we boarded the catamaran till the time we were dropped off back to the hotel the crew members were very attentive to our needs. With the choppy waves my daughter got ill but with the good nap on the cushion, located in the bow, she was all refreshed and ready to snorkel.

It was the first time for my children to snorkel but Lawrence took very good care of them on and off the catamaran. The most memorable moment was when they caught a fish and had asked my son reel in the catch. His dream came true that moment! Thank you Ko Olina Ocean Adventures, its crew members and Jacob for making it special day for us. We will be sure to visit you again!

I participated alone, but I had so much fun from start to finish. Since it was nature, I thought it would be lucky to see dolphins, but I was amazed to see over 100 of them!!! I also got to see a whale breach and swim with sea turtles.

In the morning, I enjoyed freshly made malasadas from Leonard's, and for lunch, I had a cheeseburger, juice, and snacks, so I never felt hungry♪

Above all, the staff were absolutely fantastic. Sue kept talking to us, which made me feel at ease, and they took great photos of me while I was playing in the ocean. When I thought it was cold, they brought out warm tea, and they promptly collected any trash, so they really took care of everything.

"They say swimming with dolphins is a once-in-a-lifetime dream, right? Today is that day! Since they are wild dolphins, there's no guarantee, but all of us staff want you to fulfill your dreams! You won't get this chance many times in your life!"

It was a precious day during my trip. Their warm words and actions from our perspective were very touching♡

I will definitely participate again! Dolphin University is the best!!!!

一人で参加したのですが、最初から最後までとっても楽しかったです。
自然相手なのでイルカに会えたらラッキーとは思っていましたがまさかの100頭越え!!!
クジラのブリーチも見れて、ウミガメとも泳ぐ事が出来ました。

朝はレナーズの出来たてマラサダを頂き、お昼にはチーズバーガーとジュースとスナックも頂いたので空腹になる事がありませんでした♪

何よりもスタッフの方が最高に良かったです。
スーさんがひたすら話してくれていたので安心感がありましたし、海で遊んでいる自分の写真もイイ感じに撮って頂けます。寒いな~と思った時には温かいお茶を出していただけたり、ゴミもすぐに回収しに来てくれるので至れり尽くせりです。


「イルカと泳ぎたな～って一生に一度は思う夢の事だよね？
今日はまさにその時！野生のイルカだから100％は無いけど、私達スタッフは皆さんに夢を叶えて欲しいと思ってるんだよ～！こんなチャンス一生に何回もないでしょ？」

って。旅行できた貴重な一日。私達の目線で発してくれる言動がとても温かかったです♡

The staffs were nice and the activity itself was priceless. But motion sickness can really get to you... most of the people on our boat were feeling sick after half an hour.. I was puking from the beginning to the end although I had preventive patch on me. So be sure to be in the best physical condition as possible in order to truly enjoy what the ocean has got to offer!!!!

I participated because I heard there would be dolphins and SUP.

I unfortunately got injured before this trip, and even though I was looking forward to enjoying the slides, I didn't use any of them. It's very disappointing. I imagine it would have been fun if I had used the slides, but overall, I just explored a bit, and it felt like there wasn't much difference from Tokyo Summerland.

今回旅行前にケガをしてしまい、折角スライダーを楽しみにしていたのに、どれ一つとして利用しませんでした。とても残念です。おそらくスライダーなど利用すれば楽しかったのでしょうが、全体的に色々探索しただけですが、東京サマーランドと大して差はないように感じました。
