I booked this cruise while staying in Waikiki on a solo trip. The staff and captain are personable and efficient and the catamaran is modern and roomy. We cruised along the coast towards Diamond Head crater and then put the sails up for a jaunty ride in the open sea for about 10 minutes. Captain turned the boat around to enjoy picturesque sunset views and some cool tunes while sipping on the crew members own recipe Turtle Tini. There were a mix of couples and multi generational families and the staff was accommodating to everyone’s needs, even those who were a little green in the gills from sea sickness. Highly recommended, even if you’re by yourself!

The Star of Honolulu was just simply AMAZING!!! Our server Sabrina was extremely nice and attentive to all of our needs. The assistant manager Robert was very nice and helpful when we didn’t receive our bottle of wine that we ordered. He took care of it immediately and brought it to our table. It was closer to the end of the cruise so we ended up sharing the bottle with our neighbors at the next table. We ended up booking this dinner cruise over a luau since we heard such good things about the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise and I’m so glad we did. The dinner show was absolutely amazing and entertaining. I will definitely book this cruise again next year when we come go back to Hawaii. Thank you to all your staff and crew for making it an unforgettable evening

It was an affordable and fun cruise with beautiful views. We also saw sea turtles. Also wear a swim suit, you’ll get wet getting in and out of the catamaran and during the cruise.

This cruise was very nice and will do it again.

Wonderful experience! I have done this cruise twice, and both times I had a blast. I think it’s the most fun booze cruise there is in Waikīkī! It’s cost effective, and perfect for a group where some people want to drink and some don’t since it’s BYOB. You get to see the beautiful sunset and they let you swim for a few minutes if desired. The music is great, and you can even request songs.

The crew really knew what they were doing. We sailed out toward diamond head and some dolphins swam along, then we sailed back into the sunset. They kept our drinks full and the mai tais were really good. Just be careful because the alcohol doesn't hit as hard when you're on the ocean, but will when you get off.

Our party of 12 had so much fun out on our sunset sail! The crew was fantastic, the drinks plentiful, and the seas smooth. This was a highlight of our trip. Mahalo nut loa!

This was so much fun. FINS ARE INCLUDED. Try doing it on Saturday with Captain Junior and his crew. They are awesome.

This was such a great tour! The catamaran ride is fun, the crew were professional and friendly, the snorkeling spot was perfect. All equipment was provided as well as instructions on where to snorkel and where to safely stay in view of the spotters. Saw 5 turtles hangin out on the reef and multiple schools of fish. Just off shore of Waikiki beach yet in open water 40ft deep. Great water clarity and lots of marine life to look at. On the ride back Mai Tais, beer or water are available and the captain rocked some reggae for the ride back to shore. Would definitely do this one again. Be sure to generously tip the crew they deserve it!

We were a party of 7 (4 adults 3 kids) and all of us had a great time. They were on time and the crew was fantastic. They explained safety rules with a bit of humor and made it fun. They swam with us and guided us and pointed out fishes and turtles for us to see. Equipment was acceptable. We had our own snorkel gear, we only borrowed their life vests.

My husband and I chose to book this as our date night while we were on vacation with our family while my MIL stayed at the hotel with the kids. We also purchased the shuttle with our tickets and we're staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village...we almost, along with another couple missed the bus because the front desk at the hotel told us the "bus stop" was outside the hotel..and we were at the literal "bus stop" for The Bus, but we luckily called in enough time to realize it was in the tour group stand below the hotel (crisis averted). The bus was quick and getting onto the boat was quick and painless. They sat us right always and appitizer were at the tables waiting. Our server was prompt in taking drink orders and bringing food. Food was good! We were NOT expecting a full lobster lol and had to figure out what we were doing with it. We weren't quite sure about the show at first as the announcer was a little old/shaky but as it progressed the show was great. I especially appreciated that they had dancers at different parts of the dining room Floor so no matter where you sat you could see it. This was a racier show with a little more suggestive hip rolling than the Luau we attended earlier in our trip but we thought it was great! There was an amazing rainbow over Diamond head and the sunset was beautiful.

We got the premium tickets and actually got sat front and center which was great for our kids (4, 6 & 8). That also meant though that one side of the table was blinded by the sun for the first part of the show until the sun dipped below the trees (small price to pay for front and center). We didn't realize that with the premium tickets even the kids got extra drink tickets that could be used for juice or alcohol. My kids were never going to drink that many juices so we used them to get a few extra Mai Tai for us...but word of advice if you wait for the server to get the drinks you will never be able to get through your tickets because they are split between so many tables so grab them from the bar yourself. The show was great my kids especially liked the fire dancers. The food was just ok but we expected that as it's hard to serve that many individual plates at once. The only thing my kids would eat was the shredded pork and fruit so if you have kids who are picky eaters make sure they eat a little something before hand.

This was a great trip with a great crew! Highly recommend this cruise.

The views you see from the ocean are amazing, I did the sunset cruise. Not a lot of people on the net so the seating was a bit crowded but other then that it was a very relaxing event.

Excellent food, great entertainment, impeccable service from bus pick up to dinner up to drop off. I booked this dinner cruise in lieue of luau which was already sold out. I’m so glad that we did the sunset cruise instead. We had a great time and just perfect for our last night in Hawaii. Will definitely be back again.

Had a great experience watching the sunset and enjoying beverages! Even got to see a pod of dolphins swim right by us. Would definitely recommend!

This was such a great excursion for my parents and I. It was beginner friendly and the crew is super nice, informative, and welcoming! The turtles were awesome to see up close and the drinks (!!) were a great bonus. Would definitely recommend them to any visitors who haven't gotten a chance to see the wildlife of the island.

A friend and myself recently went on the sunset open bar sail! It was a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely be doing it again!

Wonderful time snorkeling and seeing fish and a few turtles. The crew was very helpful and fun.

I really enjoyed the instructor's demeanor. They were very knowledgeable and made you feel comfortable being on the boat. They also stored our small stroller which I really appreciated. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time! We saw several sea turtles (including a baby) getting their spa treatment. Then, we went for a nice sail, enjoying our drinks and snacks.
