The Star of Honolulu offered a smooth and comfortable cruise. Unfortunately, the sunset sank behind the clouds rather than over the ocean, but since it was a fireworks cruise on Friday, we were able to enjoy the fireworks from the sea. I chose the buffet dinner, which was homey and allowed for interaction with others, making it a lot of fun. When it was time to dance, the crew joined the dancers up close, and in the end, we all got involved, forming a train and moving around the ship, dancing the hula together, and finishing off with a lively YMCA. Since there were so many people, I was a bit worried about the return bus, but the sticker we received at the beginning indicated our destination, and I was quickly directed to my hotel bus, which was very systematic and reassuring.

This was my first luau. Although not a traditional luau that one would see on a beach, this one was fantastic. The food was delicious with plenty to choose from, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the show incorporated traditional song and dance along with "Elvis" and "Michael Jackson"...all were so very talented! The seating in the theatre was comfortable, and the location was easy to get to. I highly recommend!

The Captain and crew were very friendly, and although we were the only Japanese on board with announcements in English, everyone else was in a great mood, making it a very enjoyable experience. The unlimited Hawaiian cocktails and other drinks made for a fantastic time. I plan to ride again when I come back to Waikiki. Mahalo!

This was our second trip on the Star of Honolulu, the first being 9 years ago. I paid more this time for an upgraded meal. The meal was good, but I think we would have been happier with just the buffet. The upgrade wasn’t really worth the price we paid. The entertainment was good and the views were spectacular! If we come to Hawai’i again, I think we’ll just get the lowest price meal and still do the cruise.

This time, we stayed in Hawaii to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We participated in a VIP tour based on a recommendation from one of my mother's friends. We were able to take the elevator to the fourth floor from the Royal Hawaiian Center, Building B, to reach the venue. We arrived at the venue by 5:15 PM.

The meal was a buffet in an outdoor space with a roof. We received service tickets for a Mai Tai and another drink, so we had plenty of alcohol! The buffet offered a variety of dishes to enjoy. However, the waiting time for the meal was too long, so it would be best if that could be improved.

When it was showtime, we moved to the indoor theater. We were seated in the central front area, which allowed us to see the performers up close. The show was packed with entertainment and lasted about two hours! There were dancers who could perform in any genre, from Elvis to Michael! It felt more like an entertainment show than just a hula show, and from that perspective, it was very impressive!

Personally, there was one song by Israel that I loved, and I wished I could have heard a few more solo songs from him. At the end, there was a photo session, and everyone in the venue seemed to have a great time. I want to tell my friends about this experience!

プレスリーにマイケルに、どのジャンルでも踊れるダンサーの皆様に！！！
フラショーというよりエンタメショー、その角度で観たら見応え十分でした！！
個人的には、イズラエルが一曲あったのですがステキな声でもう何曲かソロで聞きたかったです⭐︎
最後にはフォトセッションなどもあり、会場の皆様大いに楽しまれてました。
お友達にも教えてあげたいと思いました！

When I was thinking about what to do in Hawaii, I decided to book a traditional Hawaiian show from Japan. Before the show, we enjoyed a lovely buffet-style meal. It was fun to watch hula dancing right in front of us while we ate.

The pineapple juice we had first was delicious, and it really made me feel like I was in Hawaii. The beef and fruits that were cut and grilled right in front of us were tasty, and I ended up feeling quite full.

The show featured not only hula but also performances resembling Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, making for an enjoyable time. The fire dance was impressive, and the content was very fulfilling. I thought this optional tour was a great value, especially during this time of yen depreciation.

I participated because I wanted to go with the flow on the night of my arrival. The venue is on the 4th floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, so if you're staying in Waikiki, you don't have to worry about transportation, right? We gathered after 5:00 PM and started with a meal. The menu is quite extensive, from drinks to desserts. There were tables surrounded by friends that were really lively. There were also tables where people who spoke different languages were happily chatting with each other. The highlight, of course, is the show itself. The spirit of "LET US ENTERTAIN YOU!!!" from all the performers was overwhelming, and it brought tears to my eyes. It happened several times. Speaking of which, I had a similar experience on the sunset dinner cruise "Star of Honolulu," provided by the Ohana (family) company of this show (which I participated in previously). I was fortunate enough to receive something from Presley, and I even felt, "Is it okay to have this much fun on the first day?" I sincerely thank everyone who was at the venue that day.

This was my third time participating. My previous experiences were rated 3 stars. My faint memory was of a relaxed atmosphere, but the buffet had a huge number of guests. There were few Japanese people. Although it was a buffet, there was only one place to get food, and I wondered how that would work. However, we were guided in order. I was worried that the first people would eat everything, but there was enough for us who went last. In fact, just going once filled me up. I was looking around to see if we could get seconds, and it seemed that after the first round, refills were allowed. I remember the 3-star experience having a relaxed musical atmosphere, but the buffet area was lively. It's on the lowest floor, but you can see beautiful sunsets and sunrises, so no issues there. で、おかわり自由なのか？と周りを伺っていましたが、一巡した後はおかわりは自由な様子でした。
3スターは音楽もゆったりした記憶がありますが、ビュッフェのところは賑やかでした。
一番下のフロアですが、夕焼けとか日の入りも綺麗に見えます、問題なしです。

I had seen a hula show before, but this was a different kind of entertainment show! I signed up for the VIP type, and right from the start, I received a fresh lei. Since the welcome at the airport is no longer a thing, this really put me in a Hawaiian mood. The meal started about 40 minutes after the gathering time, but I was able to enjoy a Mai Tai (which you could choose to have with or without alcohol) while waiting. The Mai Tai was refreshing and delicious. I also had coffee and pineapple, and there were staff members playing the ukulele, making the waiting time enjoyable. After that, it was buffet and hula! The buffet had a lot of meat options, but they also served dessert at the end, so I ended up quite full. The VIP type included one more free drink, so I had beer while my mother had a non-alcoholic drink. My mother's non-alcoholic drink was sweet with a hint of coconut. During the meal, there was hula dancing and a hula lesson! After that, we moved to a different location for the entertainment show! It was exciting from the beginning✨ They performed songs that everyone has probably heard, like those by Michael, so even if your English isn't great, you can still enjoy it to some extent. For those who understand well, it would be even more enjoyable. After the show, we took pictures together, which became a great memory.

以前もフラのショーを見たのですが、また違ったエンターテイメントショーでした！ VIPタイプで申し込みましたが、行ってすぐから生レイのプレゼント。今は空港でwelcome！みたいなのがなくなってたので、ここでハワイ的な気分になりました。食事が集合時間40分後くらいしてからのスタートでしたが、マイタイのドリンク(アルコール有り無しを選べる)を飲みながら待つことが出来ました。マイタイさっぱりしてておいしかった。他にはコーヒーやパイナップルなどもいただけて、ウクレレを弾いてくれるスタッフの方も居たりで、待つ時間も有意義。スタートしたあとは、ビュッフェ&フラ！ビュッフェはお肉多めのメニューですが、最後にデザートとかも出て、なかなかお腹いっぱいになりました。VIPタイプはもう一杯ドリンクが無料で付いてたので、私はビール、母はノンアルコール。母のノンアルドリンクはココナッツがきいていて甘かったみたいです。食事の間にフラダンスとフラlesson！そのあと場所を移動してからのエンターテイメントショー！ 最初からドキドキで楽しめました✨ マイケルとかみんなが聞いたことはあるかなって曲をやってくれるので、英語がいまいちの人でもなんとなくでも楽しめるかと思います。ガッツリ分かる人だと、もっと楽しめる ショー終わった後に写真を一緒に撮ってもらいましたが、いい思い出になりました。

I went on a sunset sailing trip on the Mai Tai catamaran. I highly recommend it.

Check-in is done at the catamaran reception on the beach side of the Sheraton, and you board from the shoreline. Flip-flops and sandals are recommended!

Once we set sail, there was an unlimited supply of Mai Tais, beer, sparkling wine, and various soft drinks. The course takes you out to Diamond Head and then back towards Hilton Hawaiian Village, returning along the same route. You get to see Diamond Head from the side on the way back. That day was a full moon, and we were able to see both Diamond Head and the moon, as well as a pod of dolphins along the way. The view of the Waikiki hotel skyline turning orange was beautiful, and the sunset over the ocean was stunning (unfortunately, there were some clouds on the horizon that day, so the light path of the sunset wasn't as clear as it could have been). I think it would have been even more amazing if the weather had cooperated.

As seniors, our English skills were... well, we brought a Pocketalk translator but didn't end up using it. We just strung together the words we knew and managed to communicate somehow. It felt like we could get by.

私達シニア世代で英語が・・・。ポケトーク持って行きましたが、使わなかったです。知ってる単語並べてなんとなく繋がった？まぁなんとかなるという感じでしょうか。

The food was good, and the show was enjoyable. This was the tour I was looking forward to the most on this trip. However, I ordered my first drink, but it didn't arrive for my seat and the seat next to me. After waiting for a while, I asked again, but it took about 30 minutes to come. Since the start was like that, it put me in a bad mood. The meat in the meal was overcooked, which was disappointing. It was nice to sing and dance to "YMCA" towards the end.
