We loved the cruise from the moment we boarded to the moment we stepped off! The crew and catamaran were top notch and professionals at having fun! We were celebrating with my son and daughter in law and eveverything was amazing and entertaining!

My overall experience aboard the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise ship was fantastic! I went with my 7-year old son and he had a blast as well. His favorite part of the evening was going up and down the stairs from one deck to another exploring. And my favorite part was... the view of the Hawaiian sun disappearing behind the endless horizon. :)

We chose the all-you-can-eat crab dinner, and it was literally “all-you-can-eat!” The spirit-of-aloha-filled staff member was cruising along the dining area asking who else would like some more crab legs until the guests could not say a "yes" any more. The quality of food and entertainment were superb.

It was my first cruise dinner, so I did not know what to expect. A funny jokes-filled driver picked us up in a luxury motorcoach bus and upon arrival to Aloha Tower, an elegant staff representative escorted us to the ship. The tables were set beautifully with an orchid in the middle of the dinner plate.

I would definitely recommend this experience both to tourists and to those who live in Hawaii!

I was a bit anxious about participating with my 3-year-old and 7-year-old children, but we had a great time!

Since the reviews here were helpful, I wanted to write in detail as a thank you.

Check-in was at 8:30, so we arrived on time, but it turned out that the reception started at 8:30... arriving at 8:50 was totally fine.

The location is the beach at Outrigger Hotel. The nearby beaches are connected, so it seems fine to walk along the beach.

Everything was in English, but there were also Japanese instructions, so there were no issues. It didn't seem like they were saying anything too complicated.

The crew was kind and polite, so I had no worries. Plus, all of them were incredibly handsome. It was quite a treat for the eyes.

After setting sail, we arrived at the spot shortly after. We jumped right into the water. And immediately saw turtles! We spotted about four at once! One of the crew members stayed with our family and supported the kids, so we were able to enjoy it for a solid hour.

The kids got tired, so we got back on the boat, but it was cold during this season. It was also drizzling on and off, so warm clothing is essential. We brought two bath towels, a hoodie, and a light jacket, but having one more bath towel might have been better. Since we got wet, one towel for warmth would have been useful.

After that, we went sailing, which was super fast and felt like jumping! This was also very exciting.

Drinks were around $2 to $5. We could choose from beer, juice, and more. We paid after arriving, including tips.

In any case, we saw a lot of turtles! With the beautiful sea and the handsome crew, it was an incredibly fun experience! It wrapped up quickly in the morning, so I was satisfied with how we spent our time!

ここのクチコミが役に立ったのでお礼を込めて詳しく書きたいと思います。

チェックインは、0830だったので、間に合うように行きましたが、0830からの受付って事だったのですね…0850で全く問題無かったです。

場所は、アウトリガーホテルのビーチ。近辺のビーチは、繋がっているので、ビーチつたいに行っても問題なさそうです。

言葉は全て英語。案内は日本語もあるので、問題ありませんでした。
難しい事も言ってなさそう。

クルーも優しく、丁寧ですし、心配無かったです。そして全員がイケメンすぎる。
目の保養感半端ないです。

出航し、少ししたら、スポット到着。
すぐに海に入りました。
そしてすぐにカメさん！
4匹くらい一気に見れました！
家族に一人のクルーが付いてくれ、子供達をサポートしてくれたので、
しっかり1時間ほど楽しめました。

子供達が疲れたので船に上がりましたが、
この時期は寒い。
雨も降ったり止んだりなので、防寒は必須です。
我が家はバスタオル2枚、パーカー、羽織で行きましたが、バスタオルはもう一枚あった方が良かったかも。
濡れてしまうので、1枚防寒用に。

その後はセーリング、すごいスピードで、ジャンプするように！こちらも大興奮でした。

ドリンクは、2ドルから5ドルくらい。
ビール、ジュースなど選べました。支払いは到着後、チップと合わせて払いました。

とにかくカメさん沢山見れました！綺麗な海と、イケメンクルーで、最高に楽しかったです！
サクッと午前中で終わるので、時間の遣い方としても満足しました！

Had a great time at the Royal Hawaiian luau this week. It was much more than simply hula dancing and a fire show. The performances were short acts telling the story of the Hawaiian culture and history through song and dance. I could feel the passion for Hawaii in the host of the evening as he was setting the scene for each act. Interestingly, he was one of the actors in the original Hawaii 5.0!

Before the show started, it was fun to learn and actually see the process of how Hawaiian people made the material for their clothing. It was actually made of out sticks!

Food was plentiful and tasty with lots of variety. Highly recommended experience. The setting was beautiful on the lawn with the beach and an amazing view of Diamond Head in the background. A very special evening!

The catamaran heading towards the sunset was very stable, and the hotel cluster in Waikiki was beautifully lit up. For just a moment, the fireworks from the sea were amazing!

夕日に向かって走るカタマラン号は揺れも余り無く、
ワイキキのホテル群がライトアップされてとても美しかったです。
ほんの一瞬ですが、海上からの花火は素晴らしい～

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Spirit of Aloha!
The departing location is very convenient and we could just walk from our our hotel. The check-in was fast and after we boarded the Captain gave us a safety briefing and we started the sail.
The appetizers were good, they have a small buffet line with wings, meatballs and dried snacks. The bar has a selection of draft beer, champagne and cocktails and the prices are very reasonable. Watching the sunset in Hawaii listening to good music, cocktails and friends was the highlight of trip. The views from Waikiki are amazing and at this time of the year, after the sunset we still got to sail under the starts and it was very relaxing. Make sure to include this cruise on your next trip to Hawaii!

We did the sunset sail our last night in Oahu and had a blast! Cruising around the water in Hawaii with open bar, can't go wrong!

I chose to participate in the cruise specifically for the fireworks on Friday, but on the day of the event, it was announced that due to strong winds, the fireworks would not take place, and we returned to port instead. What was even more disappointing was that after departing, we spent a considerable amount of time just circling around the harbor, with hardly any change in the scenery outside, leaving no enjoyment at all; we were just listening to music inside the ship. Additionally, the ship was not very large, which caused significant rocking, and many people were feeling seasick. I also chose a menu that included lobster, but the meat was dry and seemed old, resulting in a disappointing meal. While waiting for the fireworks, there was nothing to see outside, which made the time drag on and caused some frustration. Moreover, there was a pushy sales tactic for the photos taken during boarding, which was not very pleasant.

楽しそうなクルーズとして、花火のある金曜日をわざわざ選んで参加したのですが、当日は風が強いとのことで、最終的に花火の打ち上げはなく、そのまま帰港となりました。そのことよりも期待はずれなのは、出航してからも、港の中を 相当な時間ただグルグル回るだけで、船外の風景はほとんど変わらず、まったく楽しみは無く、船内での音楽を聴いているだけだったことでした。また、船があまり大きくないこともあり揺れがひどく、船酔いしている人も多くいました。さらに食事は、ロブスター入りのメニューを選んだのですが、身はパサパサで 古いのではないかと思うほど、残念な結果でした。また、花火を いつかいつかと待っている間、船外の風景は見るものもないため暇を持て余し少しイライラしている中、乗船時に取られた写真の押し売りもあり、あまり気持ちの良いものではありませんでした。

My friends and I had a great time at the Waikiki Starlight Luau!
The location is very convenient and we could just walk from our our hotel. Once we arrived the check-in was fast and we had a friendly staff greeting us with a Hawaiian lei and a welcome drink, nothing better than start the night with a Mai Tai! The food was very delicious and I love the variety of the food, specially the salads. It's great that they have a station specially for the kids.
The show was wonderful, full of delightful performances. My favorite part was the fire knife dance and to learn more about the other Polynesian cultures like Tonga, New Zeland, Samoa and Tahiti.
I would for sure come back to the this luau!

Perfect way to spend an afternoon in Waikiki! The Catamaran was fun by itself, but then snorkeling with the Turtles made it even that much better. When we decide to travel to Hawaii again, we will definitely do this trip again. Great value for the money.

Whatever your preferences are, you'll probably only have one chance in your life to see Elvis perform live on stage with a group of talented Polynesian dancers. Throw in a pretty great luau dinner and you can begin to see why this show is so popular. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the artists that were featured that night, but it is still really entertaining to see a group of people so devoted to their craft. I highly recommend this for couples staying in Waikiki.

The sunset view in Waikiki is amazing, but I had a memory of the dinner cruise food being... so for our first family trip to Hawaii, I chose only the sunset cruise and participated in this tour. It was a bit chilly as we were properly exposed to the wind, but I had a fun and pleasant time.

ワイキキに夕陽が落ちていく景色は最高なんだけど、ディナークルーズの食事は･･･という記憶があったので、初の家族ハワイ旅ではサンセットクルーズのみを選択して、このツアーに参加。まともに風を受けるので少し肌寒いですが、楽しく、気持ちよく過ごせました。　

I'm glad I choose to celebrate birth on the island 30 years ago with Star of Honolulu. Best birthday ever!!

What a wonderful evening. Perfect location, beach front right at the heart of Waikiki, with a beautiful views from Diamond Head. The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is the most tradition hotel in Waikiki, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help you.
Before the dinner and the show start you can learn more about Hawaiian traditions. The buffet has a big variety of dishes and the food was very tasty. The drinks were very good too.
The storytelling of the show is very interesting they talk about Hawaiian history starting when the first Polynesians arrived, passing by the Royalty time and until it became the 50th state. The dancers and the singers are fantastic!
Great evening under the starts, good food and friends. I would definitely come back again and I I recommend Aha Aina Luau to everybody!

Two years ago, I experienced a dinner cruise on a catamaran, and based on that experience, I signed up again this time, but it was completely different.

First of all, last time we had a two-person table by the window where we could enjoy music and hula dancing while dining. This time, however, we were seated at a round table for eight on the first floor, and our tablemates were loud Westerners. I had requested the best plan, which was supposed to include lobster and was located near the restroom at the back near the entrance, but even though I knew it was a buffet, the food quality was the worst I had ever experienced. I accepted everything and finished my meal quickly to head up to the deck on the third floor. As I glanced at the second floor, I couldn't help but feel frustrated at the crew members who had assigned us to our groups when boarding, thinking, "Was it that person who made the mistake?"

The reason for my frustration was that the second-floor seating was arranged with individual two-person tables in a calm and quiet atmosphere, and I felt envious watching them enjoy their meals. What was I doing on the first floor? I realized that no one had lobster either! This only added to my anger and regret. I thought I would never ride again, so I kept it to myself, but I received an email asking for my experience, so I decided to share it in hopes it might help those considering this cruise.

2年前にもカタマランタイプの船にてディナークルーズを体験しました、その時のイメージにて
今回も申し込んだのですが、まったく別物でした。
まず、席が前回は2人掛けの席で、窓側を確保して頂き音楽やフラダンス等を鑑賞しながら
食事ができたものが、今回は１階フロアで円卓の8人掛け　そして合い席の方々は大声で話する欧米の方でした。　最後尾中央の出入り口近くでトイレの一番近く、ロブスター付きの一番良いとされるプランでお願いしたものが、ビッフェと判っていたものの、食事内容は過去最低　すべて受け入れて軽く食事を済ませ、早々に3階のデッキにに上がるため途中の2階フロアを横目で見た途端に、乗船時にグループごとに振り分けていたクルーの顔が憎たらしく感じ、「あいつが間違えやがったのか！」と思え尚更悔しく思いました。
その理由が、2階席が2人掛けの個別席で用意されいてすごく静かな落ち着いた良い雰囲気の中
食事されている様子が羨ましく感じ、今の1階で食事していたのは何！　そういえば誰もロブスターは無かったし！　と考えれば余計に腹立たしくも思え後悔だけがこみ上げましたが、　2度と乗る事もないのでと胸の内にしまっていましたが、体験談を書いて下さいのメールが入っていたので、　検討中の方々に参考になればと　思い投稿することにしました。

Great staff, excellent selection of drinks at the bar! I've been on a lot of tours like it but this stood out as one of the best.

Overall experience was fantastic. Felt like a condensed cruise trip. Need to make sure you don't eat the trip away because they keep bringing food and before you know it you are back to the dock. Good entertainment staff.

I participated in surfing alone in Hawaii. I felt安心 because they came to pick me up. At the shop, it was fine because they spoke Japanese, so it felt like Japan. The lesson was fun too.

ハワイで、1人でサーフィン参加しました。お迎えも来ていただきましたので、安心でした。
ショップでは、日本語で、大丈夫だったので日本みたいでした。
レッスンも楽しかったです。

It's full of couples and groups of friends.

It seems like there's an all-you-can-drink option, but the boat sways quite a bit, so I only had one drink.

The sunset view from the boat was really nice.

The crew for this catamaran was awesome, super friendly and great people to talk to my wife and I truly enjoyed ourself. I would say we had one of the best seats to watch the fireworks

Unfortunately, the cloudy sky meant we couldn't see the sunset at all, which was disappointing. However, the staff were very friendly to families, and it was a lively and fun atmosphere, especially with tourists from Europe and America. I was a bit taken aback by two women speaking in Kansai dialect who were dancing wildly with strange energy... I would like to try again on a day with better weather.

あいにくの曇り空でサンセットが全く見れず残念でした。
ただ、スタッフは家族連れにも親切で欧米からの観光客を中心にわいわい楽しくといった感じで良かったです。関西弁の女性二人が変なテンションで踊り狂っていたのにはちょっと引きましたが。。。
今度は天気の良い日に再度トライしたいと思います。

It seems early to see it in November, but I jumped from a distance where I could see it with the naked eye. When I looked in the direction the staff pointed, I jumped. The sunset and Mai Tai were wonderful. There are few Japanese people, so it feels like being abroad.

１１月に見れるなんて早いらしいですが、遠くでしたが肉眼で見えるくらいのところでジャンプしました。スタッフは指さした方向を見たら、
跳ねました。夕日もマイタイも素晴らしい。
日本人は少ないので外国に来たって感じですよ。

Access to Waikiki Beach is excellent for conducting activities, but my satisfaction was very low for the following reasons:

- Minimal coaching: Once in the water, the instructions were limited to "paddle paddle! Stand up." There were two coaches for a group of six, but one of them spent most of the time chatting with a young woman.
- Risk of injury from contact with coral reefs: The activity location has scattered coral reefs, some of which rise close to the water's surface. While I didn't sustain serious injuries, I accidentally fell off the board and suffered bruises and scrapes on my feet, and I also scraped my fingers while paddling.
- It may vary by day, but on the day I participated, there were almost no waves. I felt like I was being pushed from behind to ride low waves.

For these reasons, I strongly recommend either renting a board to enjoy on your own or taking lessons at a place like Hawaiian Fire Surf School, which offers excellent instruction and attention.

ワイキキビーチで実施するためアクセスは優れているのですが、以下の点で満足度は非常に低いものでした。
・コーチングは基本なし:海に入ってからは「パドルパドル！立って」程度、集団レッスンでしたので6人に対して2人のコーチがつきましたが、うち1人は若い女性につきっきりでお喋りばかりしていました。
・サンゴ礁への接触による怪我の恐れあり:実施場所はサンゴ礁が点在しており、場所によっては海面付近まで隆起しています。大事には至っていませんが、誤ってボードから落ちてしまい足に打撲や擦り傷を負い、またパドリング時には手の指をすりむきました。
・日によるのかもしれませんが、私が参加した日はほとんど波がありませんでした。後ろからボードを押されて無理やり低い波に乗ったという印象です。

上記の理由から、自身でボードを借りて自力で楽しむか、またはHawaiian Fire Surf Schoolのような場所、指導の丁寧さともに優れた所でレッスンを受講されることを強くおすすめします。

I am satisfied with this for the price. It goes both towards Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. There’s no sailing with a slope like a race, but it feels great to ride while being hit by the waves.

これ、価格の割に満足できます。ダイヤモンドヘッド方面へもパールハーバー方面にも両方行きます。レースのような傾斜をつけて走る航行はないけど、波を受けながら走り超気持ちいい。

This was my first time participating this summer. The meeting place was a bit hard to find, and the waiting time was a little long, but I am satisfied with the content for this price! Since it was a Friday, I was able to see the fireworks from the boat! There were many foreign guests on board, which added to the atmosphere, and we all had a great time together! The duration was longer than I expected, and after the fireworks, I was able to enjoy the night view of Waikiki! I would like to participate during sunset next time!

今夏初めての参加でした。
集合場所が少し分かりにくかったのと、待ち時間が少し長かったですが、このお値段でこの内容には満足です！
今回はちょうど金曜日だったので、船から花火を見ることが出来ました！
船内は外国人のお客さんが多く、雰囲気もあって、皆んなで盛り上がりとっても楽しい時間を過ごせました！
所要時間も思っていたより長く、花火が終わった後もワイキキの夜景を堪能出来ました！
次はサンセットの時間に参加したいですね！

The funniest crew ever! They made sure everyone had a good time and being in the splash zone was a blast. Amazing view of Diamond Head and more. So much room to move around onboard and the entire cruise was just overall fun and relaxing!
