My family has been to Hawaii the past 5 summers in a row. We always make sure that this is part of our trip. It is so much fun and good for the ages of our kids who are teens. We absolutely love the warm night air while watching the fireworks and the amazing view! The hosts are ALWAYS great and of course the drinks are a bonus! We participated in this dinner cruise for our honeymoon, and in conclusion, we had a great time. We opted for the all-you-can-eat crab course with added sparkling wine, cake, and a guaranteed window seat option.

Although the weather was cloudy and we couldn't see a beautiful sunset, the welcome drinks and the generous portions of food created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the experience. Additionally, the lively performances of singing and dancing allowed us to fully enjoy the resort vibe, even without the sunset. I felt that this was a major appeal of the cruise.

Despite being called a dinner cruise, it wasn't overly formal, and you could easily join in wearing casual attire like flip-flops, making it especially recommended for those looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

However, there were a few downsides.

When boarding, the table was already set with appetizers and bread, and we could start eating at any time, but it was a bit nerve-wracking not knowing if it was okay to dig in until others around us started eating.

Also, when trying to enjoy the scenery, it became busy moving around for the meal, and there wasn't much time to think about ordering more crab. If you want to eat crab endlessly, you might need to focus solely on that and not worry too much about the view... even though it’s a sunset cruise.

Furthermore, there was a strong atmosphere that encouraged participation in the singing and dancing, which some people might find overwhelming. Of course, participation is not mandatory, and you can decline, but the pressure can be quite strong. By the end of the dance, those who didn't participate became a minority, which intensified that atmosphere.

The dance participation time starts after the delicious sunset, so joining in won’t make you miss the sunset, but it might not be suitable for those who prefer to enjoy the moment without feeling pressured to join in.

Those were the main points I noticed. I’ve included some critical comments, but in conclusion, I think if you clarify what you expect from the experience, you can be very satisfied. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

新婚旅行で参加しましたが、結論としては大変楽しめました。スパークリングワインとケーキ追加、窓際確約オプションを付けたカニ食べ放題のコースです。

雲が多い天候だったためサンセットは綺麗に見えなかったものの、ウエルカムドリンクや食事のボリュームがあり華やかな雰囲気が随所で感じられます。
また、歌やダンスのパフォーマンスが盛大に繰り広げられるので、たとえサンセットが見れなくてもリゾート来たぞ感を存分に味わえるのが魅力だと感じました。
ディナークルーズといっても堅苦しいものではなく、ビーサンなどラフな格好でも気軽に参加できるためそのような雰囲気を求めている方に特にオススメです。


しかし、難点もいくつか。

乗船時既にテーブルには前菜やパンなど一通り揃っておりいつでも食べ始めていいのですが、周りが食べ始めないと本当に手をつけていいのかわからないのでどぎまぎします。

また、景色を堪能するため客室から外に出ようとすると、食事に移動に忙しくなり、カニの追加オーダーどころではなくなります。
カニを無限に食べたい方は景色はそこそこにストイックにカニと向き合う姿勢が求められそうです…サンセットクルーズなのに…

さらに、歌やダンスに強引に引き込まれる雰囲気がありますので、人によってはムリと感じることがあるかもしれません。もちろん強制ではありませんし断ることもできますが、圧は強めです。ダンス終盤には不参加者がマイノリティになってくるためその雰囲気が一層強まります。

一応ダンス参加タイムは夕焼けのオイシイ時間が過ぎてからなので、それに加わったからと言ってサンセットを見そびれることはありませんが、その場の雰囲気に合わせて気楽に楽しめない方には向かないかもしれません。

気になったのはこのくらいでしょうか。
少し辛辣なコメントも書いておりますが、結論としては良いところをてんこ盛りされて全てを同時に消化し切れないだけで、何を期待していくかという点をクリアにしていれば十分満足できると思います。私と妻はとても楽しかったです。

The dance was very intense and enjoyable (laughs). The meal was a course of lobster and steak, but the mango dessert wasn't good. I almost felt seasick from the slight rocking of the boat. However, everyone was very cheerful, and the view from the cruise was beautiful, making for great memories in Hawaii.

Thinking we might get seasick, our whole family took motion sickness medication before boarding. It was me, my husband, our fifth-grade son, and our preschool daughter.

During the trip, when the boat rocked violently, the kids sat at the front, getting splashed with water alongside a foreign family’s children, and they all enjoyed themselves, screaming with excitement.

Even though we couldn't communicate verbally, the joy was universal. While some people looked green from seasickness, our family was very satisfied as we enjoyed the blue sea, the splashes of water, and the view of Waikiki from the ocean until the very end.

Time flew by in what felt like an instant.

We participated in a dinner cruise with my sister-in-law and her husband. For dinner, we enjoyed large shrimp, which were delicious despite the effort it took to eat them. The night view of Honolulu from the boat was incredibly beautiful, and I was moved once again.

The Hawaiian live show was great to see up close, and there was also dancing to send us off after the boat arrived at the dock. If I have the chance, I hope to participate again the next time I go to Hawaii.

We gathered at 8:30 and boarded the boat around 9:15. We waited quite a while. From there, it took about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the submarine. The submarine dives into the deep sea, and the scenery is certainly interesting, but it's not very clear. It's difficult to take good photos with a smartphone. It was somewhat frustrating.

While eating dinner, I watched a dance with the sunset in the background, and towards the end, I danced along with them! I was surprised to see a boy around elementary school age working as a waitress, occasionally dancing and then going back to work. He was amazing! The dancing and the food offered a feeling that you can't experience in Japan. Everything was open and there was no need to be overly cautious. It was a time of liberation from the small, suffocating things of everyday life.

I was a bit anxious since it was my first time. The instructor mentioned that the guidance would be in Japanese, but we were able to communicate well, so I was satisfied! Even as a beginner, the instructor helped me skillfully, and I was able to ride the waves in no time during the one-hour session. Falling off the board was not a problem at all. I definitely want to participate again!

I loved this experience. Location was easier to find. Check in was simple and easy. I liked the safety video. The real star was the helicopter ride. I highly recommend seeing Oahu from a helicopter and with the doors off!! I was able to take so many amazing pictures. I have been to Oahu many times and seen some of the sights from ground level, but it is nothing like seeing it from the air! Breathtaking!! The ground crew was fabulous, so helpful! I sat in the back on the right side. That was the only thing that was a bummer. I didn't get to a good view of Waikiki and some of the other sights on the left. The pilot, Steve, did do some circles to allow the right side riders to see, but many times, it was enough time to see and take photos. It is windy in the back, so I had to purse my lips throughout most of the flight to keep my lips and cheeks from flapping everywhere! I did wear a sweatshirt because there was a slight chill from the higher altitude. Overall, I give this experience a 10 out of 10!! If I every get back to Hawaii, I will take this helicopter ride again!!
