The purpose of this tour is, of course, the sunset. When I went to Hawaii last year, it rained, so I was concerned about the weather for about a month after booking this trip to Hawaii. In the end, I made the reservation for this tour just two days ago. However, I was glad that I could book it right away without being on a waiting list.

On the day of the tour, although there were some clouds, we were able to see the sunset. Watching the sunset from the beach is beautiful, but being on the boat is something special. Also, since it was close to a full moon that day, we could see a big moon rising behind Diamond Head, which was lovely.

Regarding the food, I was worried because I read on other sites that the lobster wasn't good, but that was not the case; it was juicy and delicious. Additionally, the staff kindly taught us how to eat it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The other dishes, including the meat and drinks, were also tasty.

We were able to enjoy our meal in a great atmosphere with live music and singing, and it concluded with a show that included hula dancing. Just when I thought it was over, all the guests stood up and formed a circle to dance, and we ended by dancing to YMCA together.

I truly enjoyed the singing, dancing, sunset, night view, and food. Thank you very much. Next time, I definitely want to see the fireworks on Friday.

このツアーの目的は勿論夕日です。
昨年ハワイに行ったとき、雨だったので今回ハワイ行きを予約してから
約１か月天気が気になっていました。
結局、当ツアーを予約したのは２日前になってしまいました。
でもキャンセル待ちもなくすぐに予約出来てよかったです。
ツアー当日ですが、多少は雲が出ていたものの夕日は見られて、砂浜で見る夕日も勿論きれいですが、船上はまた格別です。
それと、当日は満月に近くダイアモンドヘッドの向こうに大きな月が見えて
きれいでした。
食事ですが、他のサイトで調べたときロブスターがおいしくないと書かれていいて心配しましたがそんなことはなくジューシーでおいしかったです。
また、食べ方も係の人が親切に教えてくれて堪能できました。
その他のお肉をはじめとした料理や飲み物もおいしかったです。
音楽、歌も生演奏で良い雰囲気の中で食事ができ、最後はフラダンスを交えたショーで締めくくられました。。。。
と思いきやその後お客さんみんなで立ち上がり輪になって踊り出し、最後の最後にみんなでYMCAを踊って終わりました。
歌、踊り、夕日、夜景、料理と本当に満喫出来ました。
ありがとうございました。
次回は是非、金曜日の花火が見たいですね。

Previously, I boarded the Mai Tai Catamaran to see the sunset sinking on the horizon. I was moved then, so this time I boarded to watch the Friday fireworks at Hilton. Since Hilton Village is my regular accommodation, I had been watching the Friday fireworks from the beach and poolside in front of Hilton Village, but seeing the fireworks from the sea was something special. I sat on the port side, but when we started moving, I realized we were facing the opposite side of the beach and thought I might have made a mistake. However, we stopped facing the fireworks venue, so I had a good view. If you sit close to the bow, prepared to get splashed by the waves, you can see the fireworks well. The crew only spoke English but were kind. Because of that, I ended up drinking quite a bit—Mai Tai, beer, and white wine—and then I needed to go to the restroom, which was a bit of a problem. Upon closer inspection, I noticed there was a window on the port side, and when I went to check it out, I found that it was the restroom.

Since it was a VIP course, we started in a lounge-like area with Mai Tais and self-service snacks (such as prosciutto with pineapple, fruit skewers with melon, macadamia nuts, and potato chips). After that, we moved to our dining seats and enjoyed a course meal. We had informed Veltra in advance that we were bringing our one-year-old daughter, so a seat for her was also prepared.

During the meal, our daughter was able to participate in a treasure hunt game, which made her happy as she could walk around the venue (sitting still for the entire meal would have been boring for a one-year-old).

After the meal, the show began. With the VIP course, we could watch the show from our dining seats (on the first floor) while continuing to enjoy our drinks. For the regular course, it seemed that guests finished their meals outside the venue before entering the second-floor seating.

The show started with hula dancing, followed by an Elvis Presley impersonation show, a Michael Jackson impersonation show, and finally, fire dancing and hula dancing. Last year, we watched a hula dance show at the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was a more traditional show that showcased Hawaiian culture without any sexy costumes (and that was good in its own way). In contrast, this show was a complete entertainment show with sexy and beautiful hula costumes, and it also allowed for a lively rock atmosphere, making us feel like we were in America! While I didn't know many of the songs, I still had a lot of fun.

Since there is a rock segment, the time for hula dancing isn't very long, so if you want to focus solely on hula dancing, I would recommend other shows. However, if you want to enjoy both American-style music and hula dancing, this show is highly recommended. The location is also at the Royal Hawaiian Center, so for those staying in Waikiki, it's within walking distance, which is a great point for efficient use of time.

食事が終わると、ショーが始まります。
VIPコースは食事の席（1階席）でそのまま観覧するため、引き続き飲み物を飲みながら見ました。
普通のコースだと、会場の外で食事を終えてから2階席に入場していたようです。

ショーはフラダンスから始まり、エルビスプレスリーの（ものまね）ショー、マイケルジャクソンの（ものまね）ショー、最後にファイヤーダンスとフラダンスという感じで進みました。
どれもとても素敵で、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。
マイケルのものまねのクオリティーが高かったのかどうかは謎ですが（笑）、楽しめたのでありだと思います。

昨年はポリネシア・カルチャーセンターのフラダンスショーを見ましたが、そちらは、セクシーな衣装などはなしでハワイの文化をしっかり見せる正統派なショーという感じでした。（それはそれでよかったです）
それに対してこちらは完全なエンターテイメントショーで、フラダンスの衣装もセクシーで素敵で、同時に、ロックで盛り上がることもでき、「アメリカにきたって気がする！（笑）」という気分を味わうことができました。
知っている曲は多くありませんでしたが、それでもとても楽しめました。

ロックの時間がある分、フラダンスの時間は長くありませんので、フラダンスだけをじっくり見たい方は他のショーをお勧めしますが、アメリカっぽい音楽もフラダンスも両方楽しみたい方にはお勧めです。
場所もロイヤルハワイアンセンターなので、ワイキキに宿泊している方は徒歩で行けますので、時間が効率的に使えるのも良い点ではないでしょうか。

I made a reservation for the last day in Hawaii on Friday. I was really looking forward to it, but… there was no information about when, what, or where things were happening. It seems there was live music, but in the end, I couldn't see or hear anything.

The dinner buffet guests were on the 1st and 2nd floors, while the appetizer guests were on the 3rd floor. After boarding, we were taken to the 1st floor, and seating was free, but there was no guidance on that either, so everyone was just wandering around aimlessly.

For some reason, it seemed that non-Japanese guests had arrived early and had already taken the window seats and were eating. I had also made a reservation for a children's chair since I was attending with a small child, but since there was no assigned table, they didn't bring it until I asked. The sailing vessel was very impressive and incredibly well maintained and professionally operated. I am a sailing enthusiast and this catamaran was extremely smooth and well built to service a delightful dinner event. The crew was attentive, while also allowing the guests to enjoy their cruise and take in the beauty of Waikiki. The cruise had a personal ambience to it while accommodating the 25 to 30 guests that were on our specific sailing. We did not feel crowded at all, and it was nice to not feel like a “herd” of guests on those double decker party cruises. The food was tasty and filling. We did get to enjoy actually sailing on the main and the jib, and we only motored for a very short time. There is something magestic and almost spiritual about sailing on the sea. The cobalt blue water beneath, and the gentle trade winds so effortlessly powering the huge sails is an experience to treasure.

The only encouragement that I would make to the Makani experience is to provide some gentle Hawaiian music on top where the forward trampoline is. Most guests enjoyed staying forward on the trampoline, and the music only played below in the bar/covered seating area.

We chose to have the Makani pick us up from our hotel and the driver and vehicle were very professional. We recommend this option as it made the entire experience effortless. I would definitely do this activity again. It was worth the time and was a good value.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see a beautiful sunset due to the cloudy weather, but the night view and fireworks visible from the sea were great. The boat sways quite a bit, and if you're prone to motion sickness, it might be tough for you.

It was a fun stage not just for dining and watching the show, but also featuring interactive events! There was a practice time for hula dancing, a contest where randomly selected guests were invited on stage to blow a conch shell (or something like that?), and opportunities to dance with the performers—there was so much going on. The hula dancers showcased various patterns of dance. The English MC was explaining things, but it was a bit fast and hard to understand... Still, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The fire dance was amazing!

The meal had a Hawaiian flair, and it was nice that it wasn't overly extravagant. The fish dish was the most delicious.

ただ食事をしてショーを見るだけでなく、参加型イベントもある楽しいステージでした！
フラダンスの練習タイムがあったり、お客さんの中からランダムにステージに上げられて、ホラ貝（のようなもの？）を吹くコンテストがあったり、ダンサーと一緒に踊ったり、盛りだくさんです。
フラダンスは様々なパターンのダンスを見せてくれます。
英語のMCで説明していたようですが、早口でよくわからず、、、
それでも十分楽しめました。
ファイヤーダンスは最高でしたね！

お食事はハワイらしい内容で、豪華すぎなくて良かったです。
お魚料理が一番美味しかったです。

This catamaran cruise this evening was an unforgettable experience! We have been coming to Oahu for over 15 years as a couple (this is our 25th wedding anniversary trip) and have never seen Honolulu and Waikiki from a boat tour before. The Makani was an excellent first-time experience: Well captained and crewed, this vessel holds people above and below deck. It has a head (bathroom) that is easily accessible before or during the voyage. The crew did a nice job with the meal and beverage service, were on top of all the ship and passenger details, and readily and easily answered our questions. We sat topside in the front on bean bag canvas seats by the webbing and thoroughly enjoyed the view of the boat, the water, and the sunset and coastline. It was fun to sail as far as Diamond Head and see the lighthouse, as well as Koko Crater. Also, the hotel pickup and dropoff was a nice experience. The suggestions on attire were right on track. We would someday like to try the Friday night fireworks cruise!

It was great. The lobster was quite delicious, and I thought the overall meal was good. Regarding the service, it falls short compared to the solid standards in Japan, but there was nothing unpleasant. The atmosphere created by the staff was nice. If you think of it as the norm over there, it's fine. The scenery met my expectations, and I could enjoy the beautiful sky and views. I also think the little kids were having fun.

There were live performances and hula dance shows, and honeymoon couples could come forward and dance along with the music. The fireworks on Friday are a bit tricky to time, but I want to see that too!

In any case, I recommend it.

Last year when I came to Hawaii, I went to this cruise dinner and it was so good that I went again this year. The food is delicious, and the dance show and service are great. I love how polite the cast and staff are! In the end, we danced and sang together, leaving with a joyful feeling as we returned to the hotel. I want to go again!

I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel, but even though I paid for a pickup to the hotel, I was made to walk to DFS. Other tours had much larger buses that came to the bus stop, so paying extra for my family with mobility issues felt pointless. If you can't come to the hotel, I think you should clearly state that; it feels very unkind and deceptive.

Additionally, the buffet had a limited selection and was not tasty at all; the meat was tough and cold, which was disappointing. The sunset was mostly out of view since it was behind us, and it felt more like we were just looking at the night view of Waikiki. The plan seemed to focus mainly on shows like hula dancing, which I wouldn't recommend.

Also, this plan had no air conditioning, just windows covered with plastic, making it quite hot.

This is my second time participating, having joined for the first time two years ago. I wanted my friend to experience it, so I participated on the last day of our stay, just like last time. We were able to see a sunset over the sea without clouds and a large rainbow over Ka'ena Point. It was my first time seeing such a big and vivid rainbow. After the sunset, there was a party on the boat. It was a lot of fun, and I'm sure it will be a memorable experience. I highly recommend it.

Rock and hula. I couldn't imagine what kind of show it would be as I checked in. I was guided to a tent next to the reception where they offered a welcome drink, and I was asked if I wanted a Mai Tai cocktail or a non-alcoholic version. During and before the meal, dancers from the main show entertained us with singing and dancing. The food was delicious, and the whole roasted pig was exquisite. You can order drink refills from your seat and pay on the spot. The show itself was of high quality, allowing you to enjoy hula, rock, Polynesian, and pop music. I think it's a show you definitely should see.

The steak and lobster are incredibly delicious, and watching the sunset while listening to live music and singing is absolutely beautiful. The boat sways more than expected, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication if you're prone to seasickness. The haka performance right in front of you is truly impressive!

What a great night to finish off our trip to Waikiki, the show was very entertaining showcasing various cultures from the South Pacific and the food was great, a good mix of traditional and exotic, compere for the evening was excellent.

I understand that activities like this are affected by the weather, so I know it's difficult, but it was a bit disappointing.

The driver picked us up on time, and there was a great atmosphere on the large ship. The man singing was really good! The parfait was delicious, and in front of us, beautiful men and women performed hula dance. At the end, we all sang "YMCA," danced, and really livened up the venue. It was the best night!
