It was so fun, everyone was so nice and the views were amazing. Be prepared to get a little wet- I would advise to wear a swimsuit because you can go swimming at the end. Have no doubts and do it!!

Beautiful evening on the Mana Kai Catamaran!

It was a beautiful evening on Mana Kai Catamaran out of Waikiki beach. We liked that it was BYOB and enjoyed the music played during the sailing. Please just note that this catamaran does leave right from the beach rather than a dock so plan accordingly. We had a great time though!

The catamaran was a great way to see Honolulu and you can’t beat BYOB! You do have to go into the ocean (ankle to knee height water avoiding waves) so be sure to wear shorts or quick drying clothes.

Sunset? Mostly. Dinner? .... Yes, technically. Cruise? Yes. The romantic sunset dinner cruise we were expecting? Not really.

Disappointing! This excursion was marketed as a sunset dinner cruise. There was a boat - and a takeout bag of overpriced food, but no tables. The information provided did not include the type of attire that was appropriate for the boat or even how long the trip was. For the price of the trip and meal, I expected to at least not to have to juggle my food on my lap. The crew was nice, but they also made sure we were positioned to be back dockside as soon as the sun broke the horizon. If you are looking for a quick, casual romp, this might work for you - but if you are looking for a romantic dinner cruise - this may not be it.

Second time and definitely coming back!

This is the second time I have been on the Mana Kai Catamaran. The first time was with family and the second time was a boys reunion trip. This low-key, good vibes sail will give you all the island spirit you need as you enjoy great times, amazing views and an awesome sailing team. Captain Kaeo and his sail mate, Andreas, made us feel relaxed and at home quickly. I highly recommend this for couples, families with older children and friends. Mahalo, Captain Kaeo and Andreas! See you and the Mana Kai soon!

It was a little crowded for our liking. Couldn't move freely without bumping into others or having to ask them to get up. The staffs were great. Very friendly and helpful. Best part was byob and food!

Such a great time had by all during our sunset cruise! Convenient meeting location, timely departure and arrival back to shore. Amazing and accommodating captain/crew. The passengers were all very friendly. The cost was very reasonable as it is BYOB which was fine with me. Weather fabulous. We saw a whale in the distance, a rainbow and a surfing dog! All in all a fun time, highly recommend!

You get a great view of the island and a break from the bustling city feel of Waikiki. It's very peaceful, there's music playing and you have a chance to meet some other tourists. We even saw some whales. You won't be disappointed.

- boat was not crowded on the night that I went (only about 10 passengers total on a Thursday night)
- good areas to sit around boat and up front on nets

Negatives:
- beware that many sunsets on many nights are occluded by clouds (the company obviously can't control this)

Royal Hawaiian Catamaran Waikiki Private Boat Charter & Sailing Cruise

We booked a 2 hour sail for a bachelorette. When we got there, they mentioned the 2 hour option didn't allow swimming (the 3 hour did!). However, when they saw that we had come prepared with floaties, they accommodated us to ensure we could go swimming and use what we brought for our 2 hour sail! We never felt pressured to extend our sailing time at all - in the end, we ended up extending it to 3 hours anyways with no regrets at all.

The crew took such great care of us - they made sure our cups were never empty and took all the group photos we wanted, even from multiple angles unprompted! Some of us went diving with the crew members, and they happily pointed out all the sea creatures so we wouldn't miss it! They even took beautiful drone photos and sent them our way afterwards.

It became one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely book again.

I've done this before when I did a solo trip and I wanted my family to experience it because it was so much fun.

We wanted to schedule a private catamaran at first but it wasn't in everyone's budget so we all bought individual tickets. Our group size was 16 people and lucky enough we were had the catamaran all to ourselves. The crew was amazing and we had such a great time. My family loved it and would definitely do again.

Moana sailing is a straight vibe along with their service to our preferred BYOB cruise. Entry was smooth with friendly staff to help with setting a great sail during golden hour near diamond head. I would not skip out experience additional whale watching alongside this blue coastal waters (if your lucky). Bring a pack of claws and your friends into one of the best water rides this side of the Pacific.

Excellent job by the crew. Service and facilities were great. They paid attention to the youngsters (4-10) and the old folks.... Saw lots of fish snorkeling, but also a mother and baby whale, spinner dolphins, turtles and they also provided interesting info. The seas were a little rough the day we went out but the crew made it quite comfortable. Will not hesitate to use the Royal Hawaiian Catamaran crew again!!!!!!!!

What a great evening!

My friends and I booked this as a fun way to celebrate our first full day in Honolulu and to take an official photo to share the news of our engagement! We had a wonderful time, and the captain and the crew took great photos and had an awesome sense of humor. We were able to bring our own drinks, got a great sunset, and we even saw whales in the distance! The best part about it was that it wasn't that crowded, so we were able to move around easily and have enough space to be comfortable.

We loved it so much that we booked it again for the next night (with another friend who arrived that afternoon). I'd definitely recommend bringing a bathing suit in case you want to swim, as some people on our trip had a great time jumping in the water!

We had such a GREAT time! The captain and Mason were a lot of fun, very nice, and helped us all have a blast. My husband and I didn’t have a cooler bc we’re on vacation, but they had coolers iced down for anyone who needed it.
The views you see of the sunset and city are unreal. You won’t see anything like it from the beach. We really enjoyed ourselves and are thinking of doing this one more time before we head home. Worth it!

Sunset in Hawaii is the best, and this is one of the best way for you to enjoy the sunset. We were so lucky on that day, we saw a lot of whale. The music was good, the crew was super nice and friendly. They even offered to take the pictures for us. We loved the experience so much, and definitely we will do it again when we come back to Waikiki next time

This boat is stunning and absolutely perfect. We did a private charter and basically could customize our experience. They had a beautiful charcuterie board for us, a cooler full of ice, a speaker ready to be connected to our bluetooth, they were an amazing crew - so friendly. Really loved everything about this experience and will absolutely book a tour with this catamaran again.
