If you have a teenager you know how hard it is to get them to spend time with you, let alone actually participate in a family activity. Our 14 year old actually took his nose out of his phone to do this with is. He was taking videos and pictures (sometimes even with his parents!) and had a blast. The guides were amazing and had great stories about the ranch and island. 10/10

The buggy ride is longer than I expected. We travel in a group with two instructors and about seven to eight buggies. At several spots, there are explanations from the instructors and photo opportunities. The views are all amazing, and the instructors take photos for you, so you can get great pictures with your companions. The road has both paved sections and gravel paths, and while it can be bumpy and quite shaky, driving isn't too difficult. The maximum speed is about 20 km/h, with an average of around 15 km/h. It’s a fun experience, and the scheduled two hours fly by.

インストラクター2名と７－８台でグループで行動します。
数カ所の各スポットでインストラクターの説明と写真タイムがあります。
どれも素晴らしい景色で、インストラクターが写真を撮ってくれるので、同行者との良い写真が撮れます。
道は舗装部分と砂利道とがありますが、デコボコして結構揺れますが、運転はそれほど難しくないです。スピードはｍａｘ２０ｋｍで平均１５ｋｍぐらいと思います。
楽しい体験で、予定された2時間はあっという間に過ぎていきます。

This time in Oahu, we decided to take on an active adventure by riding four-wheel buggies at Kualoa Ranch. It seemed like there were mostly younger people, as we didn't see anyone in their 60s like us, but my husband, who loves driving, was very satisfied. The weather was great, and the scenery was really beautiful. Just be careful as you might get covered in dust, so I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and definitely using a locker for your bag.

今回のオアフはアクティブに挑もうということでクアロアランチの四輪バギーに乗ることにしました。若い方たちが多いようで、私たちのような60代は見かけませんでしたが、運転好きの主人は大満足でした。天候にも恵まれ景色も大変良かったです。ただ砂ぼこりをかぶってしまうので注意書きどおり汚れてもよい服装と、カバンは必ずロッカーを利用することをおすすめします。

First, the Japanese woman who explained the tickets right after we got off the shuttle bus was very kind, and I felt reassured from the check-in for the experience until we got on the bus back!

However, as she mentioned, there were no Japanese speakers after the check-in, so we had to rely on understanding English, which was quite challenging (laughs). By the way, my husband and I don't speak any English at all 🤣. There were videos in Japanese about the precautions for riding the buggy, so that was fine, but when we stopped at the photo spots, the explanations were all in English, so we managed to understand using Google Translate's speaker.

My husband, who is used to driving, and I, who usually don't drive, took on the challenge, but it was quite a long ride, and driving on the bumpy mountain roads in an unfamiliar buggy was exhausting even for my husband, who drives regularly (laughs). I couldn't enjoy the scenery unless it was on a straight road, and since we didn't stop at the photo spots, I couldn't switch places with my husband, which was tough for me 😭💦.

But the scenery was truly overwhelming, and I'm really glad we went!

まず送迎バスから降りてすぐチケットの説明などしてくれる日本人の女性の方はとっても親切で、体験のチェックインから帰りのバスに乗るまで安心できました！

ただその方も言ってましたが、体験のチェックインしたあとは日本語を話せる人はいないので、英語を聞き取るしかなかったのが大変でした（笑）
ちなみに我々夫婦は全く英語ができません🤣
バギーに乗る注意点などの映像は日本語のものがあり、そこは大丈夫でしたが、バギーに乗って写真スポットに止まったときその場所の説明などしてくれますが、全部英語なのでGoogle翻訳のスピーカーとかを使ってなんとか聞き取りました。笑

ただ運転に慣れた夫と普段な運転しない私で挑みましたが、結構長い間走りますし、ガタガタの山道を慣れないバギーで走るので、普段運転してる夫でもクタクタになってました（笑）
私はまっすぐな道でなければ景色どころではなかったし、写真スポットまで止まってくれないので夫に変わることもできず大変でした😭💦

だけど景色は本当に圧倒的で行って本当に良かったと思ってます！

I couldn't have a conversation since everything was in English, but I was moved by the wonderful scenery! After it was over, my face was completely black, and we all had a great laugh. Every time I see the photos, I can't help but laugh. It was so much fun. I want to go again!

I participated with four friends. It was everyone's first time riding a buggy, and we enjoyed breathtaking views that we had never seen in Japan. The staff entertained us with photos and performances, which left us with wonderful memories. However, it wasn't as rugged as I had imagined, and since we were driving in a line as a group, most of us were asleep in the back during the second half.

そしてスタッフが写真やパフォーマンスで楽しませてくれたのが楽しい記憶として残っています
ただ想像していたほど荒地ではなく集団での縦列走行なので後半は運転者以外寝ていました

Our guide Ryan was off the hook amazing. His passion for his job showed through. Our journey into the back country of Hawaii was exciting and informative. You’re going to get dirty and it’s worth it. If you only come to Hawaii once in your life make sure you take this tour!!!!

I participated in a buggy tour! We stopped at about 3-4 highlights where the guide provided explanations, but since the guide spoke only in English, I had to pick up the nuances. (laughs) They were very proactive about taking photos and shared stories with humor, creating a really nice atmosphere for the tour.

As for the buggy ride, I wondered if it was really necessary to do it in Hawaii. There were also horseback riders enjoying the vast nature, and I thought that might have been more fun... so I felt a bit of regret.

However, it’s definitely worth going at least once to see the filming locations and enjoy the stunning scenery of Kualoa.

バギーのツアーに参加しました！
3.4箇所の見どころで降車して説明して下さいますが、ガイドさんが英語オンリーなので言ってることはニュアンスで感じとります。笑
写真撮影も積極的に行ってくださり、またユーモアも交えながらお話ししてくれるのでとっても良い雰囲気のツアーでした。

バギーについては、わざわざハワイでしなくても良かったかな？と思いました。乗馬の方々もいましたが、広大な自然の中で乗馬されていて、そっちの方が楽しそうだったかな...とちょっと後悔。

ただ映画のロケ地などを見れるのと、クアロア自体景色が素晴らしいので一度は行く価値有ると思います。

You can have plenty of fun without driving, but I was encouraged by my husband to give it a try at the end, and it was so much fun! I recommend driving for those who have a license!!! (Don't forget that you can't drive without a driver's license.) The guide was very kind and funny. There were several photo spots, and the guide provided explanations, but everything was in English, so please be aware of that. Getting completely covered in sand is also a great memory! I want to go again!

所々で撮影ポイントがあり、ガイドさんが説明をしてくださるのですが全て英語なので注意してください。全身砂だらけになったのもいい思い出です！！また行きたい！！

I decided to participate in this activity because I could see the filming locations of Jurassic Park, but I experienced emotions beyond what I had anticipated. Learning about the history of Kualoa Ranch and its conservation efforts from the guide while witnessing Hawaii's great nature made me feel a value that went beyond just being a filming location.

ジュラシック・パークのロケ地を見られるということで参加を決めたアクティビティだったが、予定していたもの以上の感動を味わえた。ガイドによるクアロアランチの歴史や保護活動のことを知った上で見るハワイの大自然は、ロケ地であること以上の価値を感じた。

It was my first time at Kualoa! I had a great time. Although Japanese is not widely understood, there was a Japanese guide's video on-site, and I was able to drive the buggy without any worries! And the staff were so lively! I was very satisfied with the beautiful nature of Kualoa!

日本語はほぼ通じませんが、現地でも日本語ガイドのVTRがありバギーも心配なく運転できました！そしてスタッフさんのノリのいいこと！少し足を延ばしてクアロアの大自然！大満足でした！

It was also a filming location for movies like Jurassic Park, so I felt like I was in the movie. There is a Japanese version of the buggy operation instruction video, so it's reassuring. Just bring your passport and Japanese driver's license, and you're good to go!

A cheerful guide with 200% enthusiasm will take you through the jungle by car. It's a real mountain road, so it's like a roller coaster activity. I was torn between this and a movie location tour, but if you're not that invested in movies, I recommend this one. The scenery was beautiful and it was fantastic!

テンション200%の陽気なガイドさんが車でジャングルを案内してくれます。本格的な山道なので、ジェットコースターみたいなアクティビティです。映画のロケ地ツアーと迷いましたが、そこまで映画に思い入れがない人はこちらがおすすめ。景色も綺麗で最高でした！

The reception will be conducted in Japanese, so you can feel at ease.
You can register up to two drivers.
The accompanying guide will provide explanations in English.
Afterwards, you will be covered in dust, so bring a bath towel.
It is stated that long pants are required, but you can participate in shorts.
It is recommended to bring light snacks in addition to drinks.
Prepare a tip for the accompanying guide.

I participated with my four grandchildren. We got completely covered in dust, but we thoroughly enjoyed the world of Jurassic Park in the vast nature.

4人の孫を連れて参加しました。全身埃だらけになりましてが広大な自然の中ジュラシックパークの世界を満喫できました。

At first, I wasn't sure what to do, but since it was a famous place and seemed interesting, I decided to participate. The buggy ride was amazing!

It rained the day before, so there was no dust at all, and it was comfortable. It was fun to drive through the great outdoors, which is a rare experience. The instructor was kind, and the 2-hour tour flew by.

前日に雨が降り、全く砂埃がなくて、快適でした。
なかなか体験できない大自然の中を自分の運転で走り抜けるのは楽しかったです。
インストラクターも優しくて、2時間のツアーあっという間でした。

I had always wanted to visit Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii. I participated with my parents and my two children, aged 8 and 10. We chose a plan that included transportation, and since we stayed at the Embassy, we were picked up at the Sheraton. At that point, there was a guide who spoke Japanese, so it was reassuring even though we couldn't speak English. They also showed us a video in Japanese with important information before the experience.

We followed behind another guide on buggies, keeping about two buggies' distance. We stopped about three times along the way for explanations about the locations and to take photos. Everything during those stops was in English, so I thought it would have been even more enjoyable if I understood English ( ; ; ).

I was a bit worried that my children might be scared of the buggies, but they were completely fine. The thrill of the bumpy roads and climbing hills excited them, and they were captivated by the stunning views of Kualoa. It was a memorable two hours.

送迎付きプラン、エンバシー宿泊だったのでシェラトンでピックアップしてもらいました。その時点で日本語を話せるガイドさんがいるので、英語が話せなくても安心です。体験前の注意事項も、日本語のビデオを見せてくれます。
バギーは別のガイドさんの後ろを2台分くらいあけて付いて行きます。途中3回ほど降りて、その場所の説明や、写真を撮る時間がありました。そのあたりは全て英語なので、英語が分かればもっと楽しかっただろうなと思います（ ; ; ）
子どもがバギーを怖がるかと少し心配していましたが、全くそんなことはありませんでした。凸凹道や坂を登る多少のスリルに子どもたちは大興奮、クアロアの絶景に魅了され、心に残る2時間でした。

The weather was great, and it was an amazing experience. We rode a buggy with six adults, speeding through the great outdoors. We stopped several times to take photos. The guide was very attentive and made us feel really happy.

とても天気が良く最高の体験でした。
バギーに大人6人乗り込んで大自然の中結構飛ばしながら走りました。

We had an amazing time at kualua ranch and did the 2-hr atv drive. Fun and interactive tour guide. Beautiful sceneries. Definitely doing it again. highly recommended this tour.

Driving on the off-road paths was exhilarating! It was great to be able to visit the holy sites of the Jurassic Park tour as well.

We had a great time on our 2 hour ATV tour, the trails were easy to maneuver and our guides were fun! Thank you Ava and James!!

This was so much fun, Mike our tour guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the Ranch. You don't realize just how many movies were made there until you see the signs and some of the props that were left behind. Make sure to bring a change of clothes with you because you do get dusty. Highly recommend this tour, you can also do Horseback but don't go out as far as on the ATV. You won't be disappointed.

This was a great tour. We learned so much about the ranch, the area, etc. We did the UTV tour and Kevin is a great story teller. Would definitely come here again and try a different tour next time!

I participated in the "Kualoa Ranch ATV & Tree Planting Experience," where we toured movie locations with a private buggy and learned about SDGs through planting sacred koa trees. However, we were unable to plant koa trees. Since there was no koa tree planting, I showed a paper with the tour details that I printed in Japan at the end of the tour and earnestly tried to communicate in Japanese, but it didn't get through well since the person was American. It seemed like they were saying there were no koa trees and no place to plant them, but perhaps they mentioned that taro could be planted? After the tour, I appealed to the Japanese guide at Kualoa Ranch, and VELTRA also helped resolve the issue, refunding the cost for the koa tree planting.

The electric bike was faster than the ATV, and going by horse or bike is also a good option. You can order lunch, but it seemed crowded and might take a while. I brought my own rice balls to eat.

クアロアランチ　四輪バギー＆植樹体験　貸切バギーで映画ロケ地などを巡る！神聖なコアの木の植樹を通してSDGsを学ぶ＜1日／送迎付きプランあり＞に参加したんですが、コアの木植樹はできませんでした。コアの木植樹がなかったので、ツアーの最後に日本で印刷していったツアー内容を書いた紙を見せて、一生懸命日本語で訴えましたが相手はアメリカ人でうまく伝わらず。コアの木はない、植える場所もないといっているようであった、タロイモは植えれると言っていたのかな？ツアー後クアロアランチの日本人ガイドに訴えたら、VELTRAさんも問題解決に協力してくれて、コアの木植樹の費用は返金していただきました。
四輪バギーより電動自転車が早かった、馬でいくもよし、自転車でもよし。昼食注文して食べることができるが混んでいて時間がかかりそうであった。おにぎり持参して食べた。

Booking through Veltra was easy, and simple. No issues with transportation or arriving at your destination. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable it was absolutely beautiful and a must. I would 1000 percent do it again, but a different tour option at the ranch since they had so many choices. Either way I absolutely recommend booking with Veltra I shopped around and glad I chose them. UTV is a must. Veltra was even great as I had to switch hotels and pick/drop off and they made it so easy to do. Thanks!

I have been to Hawaii several times, but this is my first visit here. This place is famous as a filming location for Jurassic Park, LOST, and King Kong, and offers events where you can tour the filming sites by ATV, horseback riding, or bus. This time, I tried the ATV. It takes about an hour by bus from Waikiki, and the tour lasted around two hours, which was a lot of fun.

何回かハワイには行っていますが，ここを訪れるのは初めてです。
ここは，ジュラシックパークやLOST，そしてキングコングの撮影場所としても有名なところで，四輪バギーや乗馬，そしてバスなどで撮影場所を巡るイベントです。
今回は四輪バギーを利用してみました。
ワイキキからはバスで小一時間，ツアーは二時間ぐらいでとても楽しかったです。
