My first time at Hanauma Bay, and I wasn't sure about the arrangements like needing a reservation as an individual, but having a guide made me feel secure. They took us quite far out for snorkeling, and I encountered a honu (sea turtle). I had snorkeled many times in Okinawa, but this experience was on a completely different scale. It was very enjoyable and became a great memory. Thank you very much.

If it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, our adventure would have been very unsatisfactory. There was far far too much driving. The caves were inaccessible for most of us as the rocks were slippery. The stairs were steep, and there weren’t enough hiking sticks to go around. we stopped for quite a bit of time just to have lunch, which to me was very unnecessary. A snack would’ve sufficed. Then we drove, which seemed to be forever to go see the most recent lava flow… Which was quite interesting but somewhat repetitive. Again, if it wasn’t for our tour guide, Dave, his personality, information and enthusiasm It would’ve been a bust. Again far far far too much driving for what we actually could get out and enjoy and see.

It was an incredibly satisfying snorkeling experience! All the concerns I had were addressed by the two staff members. I was particularly worried about managing valuables like my wallet, passport, and smartphone, but they provided a locked case for safe storage, which made me feel secure.
Moreover, I was deeply moved when I unexpectedly encountered three sea turtles swimming right in front of me, which is said to be a rare experience.
We swam quite a bit, but since children can participate, I'm sure anyone can manage it! Since it was a January morning, it felt a bit chilly after swimming, so I was glad I brought a hoodie and a towel.

特に、財布やパスポート、スマホ等、貴重品の管理が不安でしたが、鍵付きのケースにまとめて保管していただけるので安心でした。
また、あまり出会うことの出来ないと言われる海亀が、偶然3匹も目の前に現れ一緒に泳いでくれたときはとても感動しました。
けっこう泳ぎましたが、子どもが参加することもあるくらいなので、きっと大丈夫です！
１月の朝ということもあり、泳ぎ終わったときは少し寒かったので、パーカーなど羽織るものやタオルを持っていっていて良かったと思いました。

I was very disappointed to see that the staff chum the waters (feed the fish) in order to make this a better snorkel experience for guests. Feeding the fish makes them more aggressive, leads to overpopulation and affect their health.
While we appreciated the live music on board and music played over speakers when in the water, the loud cheesy music on the way home was just too much (Baby Shark, Gangnum Style etc. ) This may appeal to some tourists but just created a very loud experience and took away from our enjoying the natural beauty around us.

About 20 minutes before the show started, a line of about four groups began to form at the premium seats, so we waited a little in front of the door. I got my tattoo done quickly, so I didn't have to wait long to get it done. We also had priority access to the buffet. Before boarding, it was unfortunately raining, but once we got on the boat, the rain stopped and we had clear skies. After enjoying stories from the captain and crew that heightened our excitement about possibly seeing whales, we headed to the deck. While we strained our eyes looking out to sea, we sadly didn’t spot any whales, perhaps they were on their New Year’s break. However, we were able to leisurely enjoy the views of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the ocean, making for a refreshing cruise. Due to scheduling conflicts, I didn’t receive the next free boarding voucher, but many others did. If the opportunity arises again, I would love to participate.

Our family enjoyed the UTV tour of Kualoa Ranch. Our guides, Raymond and Tony were great. Raymond with his lame jokes and Tony was great with the kids. The scenery at Kualoa Ranch is amazing, the ocean, the mountains and a filming location of many movies. Driving the UTV was fun for the adults and the kids enjoyed the bumpy ride on the off road tracks. Plenty of other activity options at Kualoa Ranch if UTV is not your thing.
The captain and crew were so great. We had such a great time. Highly recommend going on this tour!
