I was able to see about 10 whales! It was amazing!
Since they weren't that close, I wish I had brought binoculars.
The ocean and sky were beautiful, and I could see Diamond Head clearly.
I opted for the lunch option, but I wanted to see the whales and stayed on the deck the whole time, plus I had a bit of seasickness, so I couldn't eat at all. Personally, I think it was fine not to have lunch included.
I had a great time!

During my last trip to Hawaii, I saw this pool from the highway and wanted to visit, so I participated this time. When I arrived, it seemed a bit run-down. The locker fee is $13, which is on the higher side. I think meals were around $12.13, so that's pretty average. There is a small children's pool, so families might enjoy it.

I participated in the early morning plan with a friend. The guide was a local Japanese woman who was lively and fun. However, the water was cold, and I was surprised as soon as I got in. The sandbar was about knee-deep at its shallowest point. The sea had a beautiful gradient of blue! When I got out of the water, I was shivering from the cold (laughs), although my friend and the others around didn't seem to be as affected. On the boat, the foreign male staff and the female guide took photos and were very considerate, which made me happy. The light snack was something like a ham and cheese sandwich. It was cold, so I wished I could have something warm, but it couldn't be helped. Next time, I want to go during a warmer season at low tide!

This tour was conducted in English, so there were mostly Westerners.
I could see the spouting in the distance, and although I couldn't capture it in photos, I did catch a glimpse of the head and tail quite close for a moment.
I lowered my rating a bit because I couldn't take photos, but that's not the fault of the tour.
The staff were also very considerate when my daughter felt unwell.

The sandbar was deeper than I expected, but the color of the ocean was beautiful, allowing me to fully enjoy the essence of Hawaii. The guide took some photos, and they turned out great, making for wonderful memories. There weren't many fish while snorkeling, but I had a lot of fun being in the water. I don't think individuals would be able to reach the deeper parts of the ocean by boat, so I recommend making good use of the tour.

The sandbar needs no introduction. It was just too beautiful! We were lucky to see sea turtles, and we enjoyed snorkeling as well. Above all, the burgers made by the captain were exquisite! The seasoning was perfect, and I want to go back just to have another burger.

If you're planning to get off at the sandbar to take photos, it's best to have waterproof gear (like covers or underwater-friendly items) to avoid any worries! Also, if you want to change clothes on the way back, you can do so in the boat's restroom, so I recommend bringing a change of clothes. For those who don’t bring a change, a bath towel borrowed from a hotel is essential (you can use it to sit on the bus seats).

The staff are also entertaining, so I highly recommend it.

My group contained four total myself, husband, sister and her husband. We loved it! I had difficulties in the beginning but was able to get the hang of it after a little while. I wasn't able to go to the total depth due to my ears, but still it was worth it for me. We saw coral reefs and lots a fish. Turtles were in the area just not seen by our group. On the way to our snuba location we were able to see a few whales breech the surface. The crew on the boat were great and the lunch was delicious. They offered Pork, Chicken sandwiches, fresh fruit and chips. It was rough seas and the boat ride was smooth sailing. Overall rating is 4.5 stars. Whish we could see more whales and see dolphins.

It was a beautiful sandbar. With my husband's guidance, I practiced snorkeling at about knee-deep water, and it was perfect. I was able to see the fish and coral beautifully, and I’m satisfied that I mastered snorkeling. Unfortunately, it became cloudy in the afternoon, and the sea looked dark and chilly. I just wished for the sun to come out. My husband was a bit disappointed because he thought the BBQ would have ribs to bite into. I thought the burger was delicious. It was a great memory for our anniversary trip after 30 years, enjoying the sea in Hawaii.

The sea was beautiful, and I walked as far as I could while taking photos. On the way to the snorkeling point, I saw many sea turtles and made a wish. After entering the water for snorkeling, I spotted a sea turtle in a coral nook! We locked eyes and swam together. I was told not to touch them, so I didn't, but the sea turtle swam so close that I could almost reach out! It was truly moving! This was my first experience like this. Just thinking about it brings back such a happy feeling.

I researched optional tours online in Japan beforehand! Choosing the major Veltra tour was definitely the right decision! There were Japanese staff members, so I think Japanese people can enjoy it without any trouble! The BBQ hamburger for lunch was delicious too! During snorkeling, I was lucky enough to see a turtle that was over a meter long up close! The sandbar was incredibly beautiful, and I highly recommend this reasonably priced tour!

We went on the afternoon cruise on Valentine's Day 2016 that was suppose to leave at 3 p.m. We ended up leaving about 15 minutes late because we had to wait for a van coming from Waikiki with more riders and they were late. We did see whales about 2 miles off the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel. The crew was very friendly and we enjoyed the open bar. It was like a whale watching party on someone's private boat! We had so much fun, that we booked the 5:30 p.m. boat cruise that very same day! Again, the only disappointment was that the boat was suppose to depart at 5:30 p.m., but this time it did not depart until 6:15 p.m. (45 minutes later!) because again, we were waiting on a van that had gone to hotels in Waikiki to pick up more riders and they were late due to traffic. Our boat cruise was cut short by 45 minutes and we only stayed out on the ocean until 7 p.m. so we felt cheated out of ocean time. Again, the crew was friendly but when I pay to spend time on the ocean, I expect and want to spend the entire one and a half hours on the ocean. In the future, I would suggest to the boat company, not to wait for a late van of riders and penalize those who were on time. Or, make sure that your riders get their full time on the ocean by staying out longer if you depart late.

Overall the cruise was pretty great. Every time ive been i get sea sick and usually its very easy to get the drink mixture for seasickness but my waiter sucked he was unprofessional and never came back without tracking him down. If that wasnt bad enough he never came back to give me more crab legs. Thats one of the main reasons my wife and come on this cruise. This experience was worse than before. I feel as though maybe he was new.i WOULD DEFINITELY recommend this cruise to anybkdy looking for something nice for a date night.

The bus arrived about 30 minutes late in Hawaii time! However, the entrance where the optional tour people from Hyatt gather was filled with Westerners! I was impressed and waited, thinking these people must be going too. We gathered at what is called Paradise Cove and received cards to charge the $12 on-site. The bus only spoke English, but that was interesting in its own way. They told us which bus number to take, and since there were only about five buses, it was hard to make a mistake.

Upon arrival, I got a Mai Tai and entered the park. It seemed like they didn’t need ID, as my face clearly looks like I’m over 50! (laughs) We practiced hula together, climbed palm trees to scatter flowers, and some guests were made to do strange dances like a beach seine. (I felt safe since Japanese people probably wouldn’t be chosen! (laughs)) While doing various activities, the sun set, and when we got our food and drinks and sat down, the show began. It was standard but enough! It was amazing. It took a bit of time to buy drinks, so I didn’t think about drinking too much... (laughs) However, I got full quickly without taking too much food. The taste was decent, about the same as a plate lunch, and it felt sufficient.

A Japanese guide accompanied us on the shuttle bus, and there were announcements in English followed by Japanese translations on the ship. There was also another Japanese staff member on board.

There were no participants on the breakfast course. Even without that option, coffee and tea were available for free. With just under 40 people in total, it felt very relaxed.

As for the whales, we were able to see them spouting several times. Although they were a bit far away, it was exciting to see them both over there and here.

Even without specific announcements, everyone was helpful, and I was able to enjoy my time with people from other countries!!

I was worried about seasickness since I was with my mother, but it was so calm that I hardly noticed we had set sail, and there was no rocking at all.

Since we came all the way to Hawaii, my daughter (6 years old) and I participated in the activity together. To be honest, my daughter was a bit scared of the ocean and was feeling anxious, but thanks to the kind and attentive staff, we were able to fully enjoy the experience. By the end, she had completely warmed up to it.

Turtles appeared multiple times, coming right up close to the boat and poking their heads out. Even small children could see them with the naked eye. We were even lucky enough to see a manta ray, which made my daughter very excited! At the sandbar, the water was waist-deep when moving from the boat, which was a bit deep and made her scared, but we were able to see crabs and fish, and by the end, she was practicing putting her face in the water with a snorkel on.

When we got back a little early, the staff happened to be feeding the fish, and my daughter got to participate, which was a great experience for her.

Just a note for those bringing small children... The air conditioning on the bus is quite strong both going and returning. Especially on the way back, since there’s no place to change, depending on the age, I think it’s better to have them change quickly. For the trip there, I had my daughter wear a dress over her swimsuit, but just in case, I brought an extra set of underwear, so on the way back, I had her change out of her swimsuit and wear the dress with her underwear. カメは何度も姿を現し、船のすぐ近くまできて頭をだしてくれます。小さなか子でも肉眼で確認できました。珍しくマンタまで見れて娘はおおはしゃぎ！サンドバーでは船から移動するときは水深が腰まであり、少し深いので怖がりましたが、蟹や魚も見れて、最後にはシュノーケルをつけて顔を海につける練習までしていました。
少し早めにあがると、たまたまスタッフの方が魚に餌付けしており、娘もさせていただき、よい経験になりました。
ひとつだけ小さなお子さんをお連れの方へ…行も帰りもバスの冷房はしっかりかかっております。特に帰りは着替える場所がないので、年齢にもよりますが、ぱっと着替えさせてあげたほうがいいと思います。娘には行きはワンピース＋水着の恰好でいかせましたが、念のため、と下着をもっていったので、帰りは水着をぬがし、ワンピース＋下着で帰らせました。そして1枚多めにもっていった大きめのバスタオルを毛布がわりに包み込みました。案の定、爆睡したので風邪をひく心配をひとつ削れましたよ～～
