Germaine's Luau was very entertaining for my family and I. However, there was a lot of sitting around and waiting for things to happen. We were met with a mediocre box of lettuce and fruit to start with, there was some entertainment and then 1.5 hours later we were able to get other food; buffet style. The food was delicious but by the time my kiddos were fed, they were cranky and had enough. I am happy to say that I have been to a Luau and experienced the food and entertainment.

It has a lot to do with the strict guidelines in place from our State Government that we have to follow, from the Check process, to how we serve the food, and it all takes time. I hope you were able to enjoy the scenery by the ocean, perhaps the beautiful sunset! I'm happy that you enjoyed the food as a luau should also be relaxing and entertaining...away from the hustle and bustle of the resort area. Capt. Ige and crew was great. They treated us very good and showed us a great time. I am definitely going to do it again with other friend that comes up from abroad. Beach volleyball was fun and snorkeling near the reef was a blast as we were close to a sea turtle.

Yuki and the entire team are a fantastic crew. It’s clearly one of the best activities on the island. Highly recommend them! The volleyball on the sandbar, turtle sightings, and snorkeling along with all the food and drinks were very well coordinated.

The best snorkeling tour!

I’ve been to around 6-7 different snorkel tours and the experience at Bob’s tour is by far the best. The tour is well planned, faculties are pretty new and the crew attend to a lot of details - like you’ll get a shower right after you get out of water which helps a lot if you don’t like the sea smell & want to get warm and dry quickly. The lunch is also really delicious. They even provide hot chocolate after the snorkeling, not to mention the beautiful white sand, dozens of turtles and tremendous view at the snorkeling point. Mahalo for the great experience!

Kaneohe bay is so beautiful. Everyone was very nice. Snorkeling was super fun. Volleyball on the sandbar was also really fun. Seeing the turtles off the sides of the boat was really cool too.

An amazing experience! It’s so well organized and they give you all the information you need to have an amazing time! It’s a wonderful experience and the crew is fantastic! Hanging out at the Sandbar is a unique experience, and as an added bonus, saw lots of turtles and lots of beautiful fish! Absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about it!

What a neat idea to use wet & wild for this event. I expected more for $155. The food was cool & the lime was closed by the time I wanted to go back for more desert. The piece of cake was so small. )1”inch square)

Bishop Museum Tickets & Admission - Hawaii Museum of Natural & Cultural History

We enjoyed our visit to the Bishop Museum. The Hawaii Hall has so much information about the culture, from people to plant use to gods. We also used the QR codes to access additional information about the exhibits and found this information very helpful.

This was my 2nd time on Captain Bobs snorkel and sandbar tour. I will be back to Hawaii in May and will be booking my 3rd trip with this amazing crew`. This trip was a bit cool with rain (December which we kind of expected ) but how can we have beauty without rain?? The lunch is wonderful. You can not find a better crew and trip. Do yourself a favor and book Caption Bob’s sandbar and snorkel tour. You will not be disappointed…unless you are a Karen. Hahah

Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, Arizona Memorial, Punchbowl & Honolulu City Tour

Our tour guide is very candid making the trip entertaining and as we head our way to Pearl Harbor, he was able to make us feel and re-lived the day of the attack and its so full of emotion. We were happy he did this as we didn’t realize they closed out the theater to watch the documentary and move it outside so we weren’t able to watch it. Thank you again for such an excellent tour

Funny activity. Long time to get food

It was fun! Waited a long time for food though. We missed a hula hula class or some activity that allowed people to dance and participate more.

Thank you so much for your feedback, and I'm so sorry that it took so long for you to get your food. It's been a little challenging for us with all the safety guidelines in place during this pandemic. Even the dinner process takes a little longer because our Servers have to pre-plate the items on each plate, and set them up for guests to "grab and go", and so it takes a little longer to serve everyone. We don't do any audience participation type activity while guests are going through the dinner line, but I believe what you heard was our "People of Polynesia" presentation, where our dancers come out and present each of the costumes that represent, Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand with a little dance for each native island. Now that some of the restrictions have been lifted, things are slowly getting back to normal, so I hope you will be able to come back and visit us again some time in the future.!! Royal Star Pearl Harbor Experience with Tickets to Arizona Memorial & City Tour
The best way to visit Pearl Harbor

This is the best way to get to & from Pearl Harbor when staying in Waikiki. They handle getting the Arizona Memorial tour tickets, plus you enjoy a drive through Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery and a drive through downtown to see the Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha statue. We were picked up around 8am in Waikiki and were back in Waikiki by 1pm, so had the afternoon free. If you also take in the Battleship Missouri, then you will return to Waikiki later. Our driver/tour guide, the bus and everything were great. A taxi alone would cost you this amount just to get to / from Pearl Harbor, but with this tour, you get to see more.

Took the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise with my sister to celebrate her birthday and we could not have asked for a more enjoyable evening. It was such fun with non-stop, great entertainment. You are well taken care of from start to finish. The entire crew and entertainers were top notch. The sunset and views of Waikiki from the ocean at night are so pretty - many fantastic photo ops. I would highly recommend this dinner cruise, you won't be disappointed.

Aloha Becky, Thank you for your feedback, and sorry you felt there wasn't enough interaction with the crowd. With all the Covid guidelines in place, there are several interactive segments in the Luau format that we can't do right now due to social distancing. Those are the segments when we invite guests on stage to learn the Hula, and also the Tahitian segment but we couldn't do that when you attended. We are looking forward to getting back to our normal format, so I hope you can return one day to experience our luau once things get back to "normal"...We appreciate you choosing Germaine's Luau as a fun activity to do while you were on vacation here.
