I participated with two friends in mid-January. We were picked up at the hotel around 9 AM.

While on the bus, we received explanations in both Japanese and English as we headed to the port. It takes about 40 to 50 minutes to get to the port.

We headed to the sandbar on a cruiser, and the waves were calm, so I didn't experience any seasickness, which I was worried about. On the day we participated, the water was about ankle to knee-deep. Since it was January, it can be a bit chilly when the sun isn't out, so I think having a long-sleeve hoodie would be a good idea. The water was very clear and beautiful. Although it was cloudy, we took photos when the sun was out, and all the pictures turned out beautifully. The staff were also very kind and took photos for us, which we appreciated.

For those with flexible schedules, I recommend checking the tide schedule online in advance and choosing a day to participate accordingly.

Being able to stand in the middle of the ocean is a rare experience. This activity is recommended for both first-time visitors to Hawaii and repeat visitors.

9時頃ホテルに迎えに来ていただきました。

バスの中で日本語と英語の説明を受けながら港へ向かいます。港までは40~50分程かかります。

クルーザーでサンドバーへ向かいますが、波は穏やかで心配していた船酔いも大丈夫でした。
私たちが参加した日は、足首から膝下くらいの深さでした。
1月ということもあり、太陽が出ていないと肌寒く、長袖のパーカーなどがあるといいと思います。
海の透明度が高く、とても綺麗です。
曇っていたのですが、太陽が出ている時に撮影をしたので出来上がった写真はどれも綺麗でした。
スタッフの方々も快く撮影して下さってありがたかったです。

日程等に余裕のある方は、事前にインターネットで潮の満ち引きを調査して参加される日を選ばれることをおすすめします。

海の真ん中に立てるというのは貴重な体験です。ハワイが初めての方にもリピーターの方にもおすすめのアクティビティです。

Although it can't be helped that we didn't see any whales, I felt that the tour itself was different from what whale watching should be.

The staff also seemed to respond with, "Huh? Whale watching? I hope you see some," which didn't give me much confidence.

I think for the other guests, it was advertised as a yacht cruise. We were completely misled.

I never expected to see whales so close to the shore. It was incredibly moving.
The view of Diamond Head and Honolulu from the boat was also stunningly beautiful.
The prices were very reasonable, which I appreciated.
I definitely want to use this service again.

あんな岸から近い場所でクジラが見れるなんて思ってもみませんでした。大感動です。
船からみるダイヤモンドヘッド，ホノルルの景色も最高にキレイでした。
料金もとてもリーズナブルで有難かったです。
また是非利用させて頂きたいと思います。

As soon as we set sail, a small whale appeared in the distance.

After that, we moved around the sea, but we couldn't see any more.

出港して直ぐに遠くに小さなクジラ出ました。

その後は、海をあっち、こっち、移動しましたが見られずでした。

It's hard to believe that I actually had the experience of standing on the sea. I couldn't believe that I was standing on a sandbar surrounded by the ocean in every direction.

I wasn't confident in my swimming abilities, but the female staff member kindly supported me. I was able to see sea turtles, and above all, the captain's homemade hamburger lunch was the best.

海の上に立つなんて考えられない体験が実際にできます。
３６０度周囲は海に囲まれている中に中州に立っている自分がしばらく信じられなかったです。

泳ぎに自信がなかったのですが、スタッフの女性が優しくフォローしてくださいました。
ウミガメも見ることができたし、何よりもキャプテンお手製のハンバーガーランチは最高でした。

When I rode on a larger ship in the past, although I could see whales, the experience was not very moving because the ship was too big. From that experience, I chose a smaller boat this time. It was nice that there were about 10 participants, mostly older couples, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Since it was a smaller boat, we could get within a few dozen meters of the whales, which was truly moving! It was also reassuring that there was someone on the crew who could speak Japanese.

昔大きめな船に乗った時は、船が多き過ぎて一応クジラは見えたものの、あんまり感動が少なかった。その経験から今回は小さい船を選びました。参加者が10名程度でほとんどが年配のご夫婦でゆったりした雰囲気なのも良かったし、小さい船なのでクジラに数10メートルと近寄れたので感動でした！！クルーに日本語が話せる人が居たのも安心できました。

I went there. I saw a whale.
The boat sways quite a bit, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication.

行ってきました。くじら見えましたよ。
船はかなり揺れるので、酔い止め飲むことをおすすめします。

This is our second Sunset Cruise and we had a wonderful time. Service and Entertainment was outstanding. Food was average, and uneventful. We are not fans of meat cooked rare and would have liked to had the meat cooked to our liking. We look forward to taking this dinner cruise again, when we are in Honolulu.

I was able to see the whales spouting. There was no shuttle service, but you can take TheBus E directly from Waikiki to Aloha Tower (be careful about the drop-off location). Since you never know when the whales will appear, I hurriedly ate breakfast on board (buffet style). There was a Japanese interpreter on the boat.

鯨の潮吹き見られましたよ。送迎なしでしたが、ワイキキからTheBusのＥでアロハタワーまで一本で行けます（降車場所注意）。鯨はいつ出てくるのかわからないので船内の朝食（バイキング形式）は慌しく食べました。日本人の通訳さんが乗船してました。

I participated in this monitor tour with my mother.

The pickup was on time. However, I was surprised by the condition of the shuttle bus. During the journey, the driver provided some explanations in Japanese, but most of the explanations were in English.

We arrived at the port in just under an hour. First, we went to the sandbar.

The expansive sandbar was breathtaking, and the sense of unity with the sky created an indescribably wonderful view. Since it was low tide, the water level was about ankle-deep. We had plenty of time at the sandbar to walk around, play beach volleyball, and practice snorkeling.

After that, we enjoyed delicious hamburgers.

Next, we searched for sea turtles from the boat. We were able to see a few, but it was brief, so it might be difficult to see the turtles fully...

Finally, we went snorkeling at the coral reef. Since it's in deep water, I think those who are worried should use a life jacket and a float. The crew will attract fish, so I believe you'll see a lot.

I think this tour is recommended if the weather is good. There is a Japanese staff member on the crew, so it's okay if you don't speak English. The boat didn't sway much either.

I participated with my mother, who is nearly 70, and she said the scenery was beautiful. I think this is a tour that people of all ages can enjoy.

今回モニタ−ツア−で母と参加しました。


時間通りのピックアップ。
しかし送迎バスを見てボロさに驚いてしまいました。
道中、運転手さんが少し日本語で説明してくれますが英語での説明がほとんどになります。


一時間弱で港に到着。まずはサンドバ−へ。


一面に広がるサンドバ−は圧巻で、空との一体感が何とも言えず素晴らしい景色でした。
ちょうど干潮の時間だったので水位は足首ほどでした。
サンドバ−での時間は沢山あり、散歩・ビ−チバレ−・シュノ-ケルの練習などが出来ます。


その後美味しいハンバ-ガ-を楽しみました。


次は船上から海亀を探しました。
何匹か見る事が出来ましたが、一瞬なので海亀全体を見る事は難しいかも…


最後は珊瑚礁でのシュノ-ケリング。
足が付かない所なので、心配な方はライフジャケット＋浮き棒を使用したらいいかと思います。
クル−が魚を呼び寄せてくれるので沢山見られると思います。


このツア−は天気がよければお薦めのツア−だと思います。
クル−に日本人の方がいますので､英語が出来なくても大丈夫です。
船の揺れもあまりありませんでした。


70歳近くの母と参加しましたが、景色がよくよかったと言っておりました。
老若男女楽しめるツア−だと思います。

The sandbar used in many music videos! I imagined it just like that, but unfortunately, it was cloudy... However, the ocean was very beautiful. I also saw sea turtles on the way there and back!

あのままを想像して行きましたが、あいにくの曇り…
しかし、海はとても綺麗でした。
行き、帰りに海ガメも見れました！

I was worried because there were no Japanese staff, but I was impressed by how they explained everything politely in Japanese. I was also happy to see dolphins and flying fish in addition to the whales! I was going back and forth to the restroom and outside due to seasickness, but I was glad to see at least a little bit of the whales.

日本人のstaffがいなくて不安だったけど、日本語で丁寧に説明してくれたのが印象的でした。
くじらの他にイルカや飛び魚が見れたのも嬉しかった♪
船酔いでトイレと外の往復だったけど(^^;)少しでもクジラが見れて良かったです。

On January 17, I boarded with my husband and our 5-year-old son.

The sea was rougher than usual that day, rated about an 8 out of 10 (with 10 being very rough).

Initially, we were given "ginger and mint capsules" as a motion sickness remedy. I received two larger capsules. This was explained as a supplement rather than medication (I recommend bringing medicine from Japan for those who are anxious).

Since I am prone to motion sickness, I lay down on the long bench from the start. There were quite a few others lying down as well.

My child, on the deck of the rocking boat, was running around and claimed to have seen five whales.

It was nice that they kindly informed us in both English and Japanese, saying things like "There are mother and baby whales at 〇 o'clock" and "You can see the spouting." I also thought it was considerate that they brought the boat closer to the whales.

There was also a Japanese crew member (I'm not sure if they are always on board), who was very attentive to the seasick guests, which was reassuring. Thank you very much.

I wanted my child to have an experience that can't be had in Japan, so it turned out to be a memorable and good activity.

Additionally, since it was close to Ala Moana, we took a taxi both ways and enjoyed lunch and shopping on the way back.

1月17日に、夫と5歳の息子と乗船しました。

この日は海がいつもより荒れていて、
10段階でいうと8くらいだったそうです（10が大荒れ）。

はじめに酔い止めとして、”ジンジャーとミントのカプセル”を頂きました。大きめのカプセルを2つ。
これは薬ではなく、サプリメント的なニュアンスの説明で渡されました（不安な方は日本から薬をもって行くことをお勧めします）。

私は、乗り物に弱いので、初めから長椅子に横たわっていました。同じく横たわっている人は結構いました。

わが子は、大揺れする船のデッキで、あっちへ行きこっちへ行きで、５頭の鯨を見たそうです。

英語と日本語で「○時の方向に親子鯨がいます」や、「潮吹きが見られます」等、親切に教えてくれるので良かったです。
また、鯨の近くへ船を寄せてくれるので、親切だと思います。

日本人の乗船員さんもいらして（常駐かどうかは不明です）、酔ったお客さんを気遣ってくださり、とても心強かったです。ありがとうございました。

子供に、日本では味わえない経験をさせたかったので、結果的に印象に残る、良いアクティビティでした。

また、アラモアナへ近いので、我が家は行きも帰りもタクシーにし、帰りはランチ＆ショッピングを楽しみました。

I participated in a monitor tour with my wife. The seawater was up to our ankles, and the sandbar didn't fully appear, which was a bit disappointing, but the "beach" that emerged in the water was fantastic. Along the way, we encountered a sea turtle, and snorkeling near the coral reef allowed us to see many fish, which was great. This was a tour I would like to join again when I visit Hawaii.

モニターツアーで妻と参加しました。海水が足首まであり、サンドバーは完全に現れず少し残念でしたが、海の中に出現した「砂浜」は最高でした。途中、ウミガメとも遭遇でき、サンゴ礁近くでのシュノーケリングは、たくさんの魚を見ることができ、よかったです。ハワイを訪れた際は、また参加したいツアーでした。

I signed up because the whale encounter rate was over 90%. The whales didn't appear for a while, and soon the observation deck was left with just a couple from China, an elderly couple from the West, and our group of six.

After about 45 minutes, the elderly couple spotted a whale and informed us, as we were busy taking photos! In the end, we were able to see three whales. It seemed like we only had about 15 minutes left to watch them, but at the last moment, one whale jumped out of the water with a splash.

On the way back, while I was gazing at the sea from the second deck, a sea turtle swam incredibly close to the boat. This was unexpectedly moving! 😊

クジラ遭遇率９０％以上ということで、申し込ませていただきました。
中々クジラが現れず、展望デッキには中国人？！のカップルと欧米人の老夫婦、私たちの６名のみになってしまいました。
４５分を過ぎたあたりでしょうか、老夫婦がクジラを発見！し、写真撮りに夢中になっていた私たちに教えてくれました！！
結果３頭のクジラを見ることができました。
帰る時間が迫っていたようで、１５分くらいしか見ることができませんでしたが、最後に１頭が「ざっぷーん」とジャンプらしきことをしてくれました。
帰りに、２階デッキでずーっと海を見ていたら、船のすっごい近くをウミガメが泳いでいきました。
これは思いがけず感動しました＾＾

This was my first time participating. I used it for my honeymoon. The sandbar was beautiful, and there was plenty of free time, so it was really great. The lunch on the boat, where they grilled meat, was very delicious.

The snorkeling was a bit cold, but I was able to see a lot of fish. After getting out of the water, they also prepared warm drinks, and the staff's service was excellent.

I highly recommend it.

初参加です。新婚旅行で利用しました。サンドバーも綺麗で、自由な時間もたっぷりあったのでとてもよかったです。ランチも船上でお肉を焼いてくれてとてもおいしかったです。
シュノーケルは水が少し冷たかったですが、たくさんの魚を見ることができました。海から上がったあとは、温かい飲み物も用意してくれてスタッフの対応も◎です。

I participated at the request of a child who loves whales. Since I had only seen them on TV, I was thrilled to see a real whale's tail. The meal was just okay.

クジラが大好きな子供のリクエストで参加致しました。
テレビでしか見た事が無いので、本物のクジラのしっぽを見られて
大喜びでした。
食事はまあまあでした。

When making the reservation, I read some experiences and saw comments saying "we didn't see any whales," which made me a bit hesitant. However, since we come to Hawaii every year and my husband's mother was visiting Hawaii for the first time, we thought it would be nice to participate and enjoy the view of the Waikiki hotels from a large boat. We didn't see any whales, but we were able to spend a relaxing time.

「くじら見えなかった」と言うコメントがあり少し迷いましたが私たちは、毎年ハワイに来ているけど、主人の母は初めてハワイに来たので、大きな船に乗って海の上からワイキキのホテルを眺めるのもいいかな・・・という気持ちで参加しました。

We were blessed with clear skies, and we were able to see the tail fin clearly. We also got to see baby whales, so we thoroughly enjoyed the whale watching experience. The guide was American, but it seemed he had studied Japanese well, as he spoke clearly and explained the location and direction of the whales, which was very helpful.

晴天に恵まれ、尾びれもしっかりみれました。
子供のクジラもみれたので、しっかりホエールウォッチを堪能できました。ガイドの方もアメリカ人の方でしたが、しっかり日本語を勉強されているようで、聞き取りやすい発音で、クジラがみつかった位置や方位など説明してくださり、助かりました。

The timing was just right, and I was able to see whales perfectly! It was moving! I definitely recommend it.

At pickup, an old bus arrived, which made me a bit anxious, but there were no problems at all! The driver even entertained us with singing while driving (laughs).

Upon arrival, we boarded the boat. First up was sea turtle watching. We were lucky to see many that day. Then we arrived at the sandbar. Unfortunately, it was only knee-deep, but we could stand in the middle of the ocean, and the view was beautiful!

Since I went in January, there was a perfect photo opportunity when the sun came out! At this time, we could practice snorkeling, but it was cold, so I quickly returned to the boat.

For lunch, we had homemade hamburgers!! They were incredibly delicious☆ During this time, the crew sang while playing the guitar, and we enjoyed a relaxing time.

Next, we moved to the coral area! Finally, it was time for snorkeling. It was cold, but once I got in, I was amazed by the coral and fish!

Before I knew it, the fun time had passed.

This tour seems to have started in the last few years, and since it was a small group, the staff were entertaining, which made it really great☆

今回モニターツアーで参加しました。

ピックアップ時にはちょっと古いバスが来て不安でしたが、
全然問題なし！運転手さんが運転しながら歌の披露とかしてくれました(笑)

到着して船に乗り込みます。まずは海亀ウォッチング。
この日はたくさん現れてくれました。
そしてサンドバーへ到着。残念ながらひざ下くらいでしたけど、海の真ん中に立てて、眺めもキレイでした！

私が行ったのは1月だったので、太陽が見えた時にシャッターチャンス！！という感じで写真を撮ってくれました。
この時にシュノーケルの練習ができますが、寒くてすぐに船に戻りました。

そして昼は手作りハンバーガー！！
めっちゃおいしくいただきました☆
このときにクルーの人がギターを片手に歌ってくれたりして、ゆっくりとした時間を過ごします。

そして、珊瑚エリアへ移動！
いよいよシュノーケル。寒いけど、入ってしまえば後は珊瑚と魚に感動！

あっという間に楽しい時間が過ぎました。

このツアーはここ数年からはじめたらしく、少人数だし、スタッフさんも面白くて、本当に良かったです☆

I thought it might be too early to see whales, but I was able to catch a glimpse of a whale's back. It wasn't an impressive whale watching experience, but I feel lucky just to have seen it. Seeing a lot of fish at the Aloha Tower harbor was an unexpected stroke of luck.

クジラを見るにはまだ時期が早かったかと諦めムードの時にクジラの背中を見ることができました。迫力のあるクジラ観賞でなく、なんとも地味~なものでしたが、見れただけラッキーと納得しています。アロハタワーの港でたくさんの魚を見れたのは想定外のラッキーなものでした。

I saw it~☆ After about 30 to 40 minutes on the boat, we spotted a whale in the distance☆ But then, for a while, we didn't see anything... Just as the announcement of "We're heading back to port" came on, a moment of disappointment washed over us, and then suddenly, about two whales appeared really close by~~ They raised their tails and splashed down!! It was amazing!! I was so moved that I forgot to take pictures...

乗って３~４０分で少し遠目ですが、クジラが見えた☆
でも、それからしばらく何も見えず。。。
「帰港します」
のアナウンスが流れて。。。
ちょっとがっかり感が漂った瞬間に、
すごく近くで２頭くらいかな～～
尾ひれを上げてザブーン!!
スゴかったです!!感動!!
見とれてしまって写真を撮るのを忘れてしまいました。。。

I used the service on January 8. We were able to see the tails of whales about three or four times off the coast of Honolulu. The meals were satisfactory and matched the price. On the way back on the boat, there were also activities like lei-making and hula dance classes, which everyone enjoyed. I think it's a tour that is definitely worth participating in.

１月８日に利用しました。
ホノルル沖で、３、４回クジラの尻尾だけでしたが見ることができました。食事も価格相応の内容で満足いくものでした。船の帰りには、レイ作り、フラダンス教室等も開催され、皆さん楽しんでいました。
十分に参加する価値があるツアーだと思います。

I applied with some hesitation, but I was truly moved to see whales! The kids were also impressed, and it became a great winter vacation memory. I've been to Hawaii quite a few times, but I had never participated in something like this, so I especially recommend it for families with children. The food was enjoyable too! I would love to participate again.

半信半疑で申し込みましたが、本当にクジラを見れて感動！子供達もインパクトがあり、いい冬休みの思い出になりました。ハワイはかなり行ってますが、こういうものに参加したことがなかったので、子供がいる人には特におすすめです。ご飯も楽しめました！又、参加したいですね。

I participated with my 1 year and 9-month-old child.

Having joined other whale watching tours in the past, I can share my thoughts for comparison:

If you really want to see whales, you should go on a small, fast, and maneuverable boat.

I recommend a small group tour that stops the boat if dolphins are spotted and allows you to dive into the sea.

However, for those with children or those who may feel uneasy about small boats, this large boat tour might be the right choice.

It might be better to join with the mindset of hoping to see whales while enjoying a lunch cruise. The food is quite delicious, and there are events on board, so I think it's a tour that won't disappoint.

１歳９ヶ月の子供を連れての参加です。

過去、他にもホエールウォッチングに参加していますので、
比べた感想を言いますと、


クジラを本当に見たいのなら、速度の速い、小回りのきく
小さい船でいくべきです。

クジラのほかにもイルカが見えたら船を止め、
海にもぐらせてくれるような、
そんな少人数のツアーがお勧めです。


しかし子連れや、船酔いなど、小型の船が不安な人にとっては
この大型船のツアーは正解かと思います。


ランチクルーズしたついでに、クジラが見えればいいかな、
という考え方で参加したほうがいいかもしれません。
でも料理はなかなか美味しいですし、船内のイベントもありますし、はずれのないツアーかと思います。

It's just a short distance from the hotel to the boat, so we easily participated as a family. What surprised me was encountering whales just a stone's throw away from Waikiki. I was amazed that whales were swimming so close. I felt the depth and endless charm of Hawaii.

　ホテルから船までもスグですし、かなり気軽に家族で参加しました。
　驚いたのはワイキキ目と鼻の先でクジラに出会えたことです。こんなに近い所にクジラが泳いでるなんてビックリ。ハワイの懐の深さや尽きない魅力を感じました。

We participated in an early morning plan with a 7:30 pickup for a three-generation family trip. This was our fourth stay in Oahu, but it was our first time visiting the heavenly sea sandbar, and everyone was filled with excitement.

The beauty of Kaneohe Bay was astonishing; we could see coral and tropical fish right at the harbor where the boats were docked. Once we boarded the boat and headed out to sea, we spotted sea turtles (honu) here and there. The water at the sandbar was about knee-deep, but the location was truly as wonderful as advertised. During snorkeling, we encountered a school of fish swimming among the corals just three seconds after diving in—absolutely amazing.

Surrounded by a rich ecosystem, beautiful sea, friendly and cheerful staff, and picturesque views in every direction, it became a memorable experience for us. Our whole family was very satisfied.

I don't think there’s much worry about seasickness due to the boat's structure and the calm sea, and the activities were enjoyable for everyone, from kids to grandma. If you have the chance, I highly recommend it.

　３世代家族旅行の折に7:30ﾋﾟｯｸｱｯﾌﾟの早朝ﾌﾟﾗﾝに参加です。家族みんなでのオアフ滞在は4度目だったのですが、天国の海サンドバーへは初めてで一同ワクワク感たっぷりで臨みました。
　驚くのはカネオヘ湾の綺麗な事、船の係留されている港でいきなり珊瑚や熱帯魚が見られ。いざ船に乗って沖に出ると、あちらこちらでウミガメ(ホヌ)を確認。サンドバーは膝下位の水位でしたが、看板に偽りなしの素晴らしいロケーション。その後のシュノーケルでは、潜って3秒で珊瑚の間を泳ぐ魚の群れに遭遇で言う事なし。
　豊かな生態系と美しい海、親切で陽気なスタッフ、どこを向いても絵になる素敵な景色に囲まれ、心に残る体験となりました。我が家のみんな大満足です。
　船の構造と穏やかな海で船酔いの心配もそうないと思いますし、体力的にも子どもからバアちゃんまで各々に合わせて楽しめる内容で問題なし。機会あれば、ぜひお勧めです。
