The wind felt nice, and the sea was very beautiful, but the main dolphin watching only allowed us to see them small and far away. The canoe group from another tour got much closer. I was looking forward to this, so it was a bit disappointing. The time spent watching dolphins was short, and most of the time was spent snorkeling, but since we were swimming in deep water, there were hardly any fish, so it felt like there wasn't much point in swimming on a tour.

The staff were very cheerful and wonderful, and the final "Harasho" was fun. However, I ordered a product from a Japanese staff member on the bus, but when I realized I hadn't received it after getting on the boat, I informed them. They told me to wait a bit because it was shooting time, and when it seemed like they weren't in a hurry to go get it, they later asked how I would like to pay. I thought, "Well, I've already bought it..." The impression I got was that the Japanese staff were kind to those who ordered commemorative photos, but...

いやもう買ってますけど、、となりました。

I participated with my 4 and 6-year-old children. I was worried they might not enjoy it since they are so young, but they seemed to have a great time seeing lots of dolphins and riding on a boat that we usually don't get to ride on! They were especially excited about the tattoo stickers they got at the end, which they had been looking forward to even before we went! They lasted for three days even after taking a bath, so it was a bit challenging to remove them (laughs).

As for snorkeling, it seemed difficult for them to breathe through the snorkel, so they quickly came back up from the water. I think I would like to try that again when they are older! They ended up going down the slide by themselves, and they had so much fun that they went down three times! (laughs) Also, they loved the lemonade they could drink on the boat, and since returning home, they've started drinking lemonade regularly!

The crew members were very kind, and we had a truly wonderful experience. Thank you!

Our family's first trip to Hawaii
I wanted to participate in something we can't easily do in Japan, and while I thought it was a bit pricey for four people, I went ahead and booked it.
It started with a welcoming dance, and the boat was calm, the weather was great, and the scenery was amazing. The sunset and night view were beautiful.
I didn't have high expectations for the food (sorry), but everything was delicious, and the drink plan included non-alcoholic cocktails, which the kids loved.
We made a reservation to see the fireworks on Friday, and watching the Waikiki fireworks from the boat was magical as they reflected on the water.
After that, we had a blast at the Hawaiian dance show. Passengers stood up together, put their hands on each other's shoulders, formed a circle, and danced. It was so much fun!
Many Japanese people watched from a distance, but my husband and I happily danced with the foreigners. I suddenly thought the kids might be embarrassed, but when I turned around, I was surprised to see our high school-aged eldest son joining in and having a great time.

Sometimes it's nice to indulge! 👍 This was a rare opportunity and became a wonderful memory for our family.

そのあとは、ハワイアンダンスショーで大盛り上がり。乗船客も一緒に立ち上がり肩に手をかけ一つの輪になり回ったり踊ったり、
めちゃくちゃ楽しかった‼️
日本人は遠くで見ていた方が多かったけど構わず外国人たちに混ざって夫婦で楽しく踊っていた時、ふと子供達がもしかしたら引いてるかも、と振り返ると高校生の長男も後ろで盛り上がりノッて踊っていてびっくり。

たまには贅沢も👍こんな機会はなかなかないなぁと家族みんなの良い思い出になりました。

On this day, there were clouds, and I couldn't see a beautiful sunset. The sunset peeking through the clouds was pretty, but it was a bit disappointing. However, I think the weather is something you can't help.

Regarding the food, the lobster was okay, but everything else was... not great. I had low expectations for the dishes since I had read everyone's reviews beforehand, but the only thing that was really delicious was the pineapple juice.

Towards the end of the meal, there was a show featuring traditional Hawaiian dance. I thought this was not bad. The distance to the dancers was close, and I enjoyed it.

We had the pleasure of standing by the naturalist, Alyssa for most of the trip and she was very informative and a joy to be around. At 200 feet, the Star is steady in the morning sea. The crew is knowledgeable and helpful. We were given a brief lesson in whale anatomy, diet, and behavior before we set out. We understood the challenges and likely outcomes of our trip. We did see whales. We would have liked to have seen more, but we were well prepared for the visit we received. This was a a grest start to our vacation

I visited during the off-season. Overall, it was not crowded, and there were plenty of beach beds available. My child was too scared to go on the slides, so it ended up being a bit pricey in terms of cost performance, but I would recommend it if you can enjoy the various types of slides.

The lazy river has a gentler current compared to Japan, so it might feel a bit lacking. The wave pool had so many floaties that they ran out.

A Japanese staff member assisted with entry, which was very helpful and easy to understand.

全体的に空いていて、ビーチベッドも十分使えました。子どもが怖がってスライダーに行けなかったので、コスパとしては高くつきましたが、いろんな種類のスライダーを楽しめるのならおすすめです。

The ship was packed with activities that kept us entertained! I thought I would be fine, but even on such a large and impressive ship, I felt a floating sensation that made me wonder how it would turn out. However, I took a chance and asked if they had any motion sickness medication, and they readily provided it. They suggested mixing it with ginger ale, which I did. I’m grateful for that because it really helped!

As for the meals, well... I can't say they were very delicious! The roast beef was tough as well.

大丈夫！と思っていた船酔いがいくら大きい立派な船でもフワフワ浮遊感がし、どうなることかと思ったのですが、一か八かで酔い止めあるか聞いた所すんなりもらえ、ジンジャエールと飲むといい！と言われのみました。

食事はうーーん。とても美味しい！！とは言えません。ローストビーフも硬かったです。

Very Nice and Relaxing Voyage

All of the staff on the boat, from the Captain to the servers were all very nice, accommodating and service minded. Joshua did a great job answering questions and adding nuggets of knowledge about the trip. The ship was in great condition and prepared for the cruise, and it made for a very relaxing and comfortable voyage.

Unfortunately, we didn’t see any whales on this tour, but as a fisherman, I understand the difference between fishing and catching, and sometimes the fish just aren’t cooperating and ya just need to relax and enjoy the beauty. But, the most important thing is, as Larry Fleet says in the song “Where I Find God”, “you can’t find Peace Like this in a bottle or a pill”.

I would do this trip again in a heartbeat, and if we see a whale, that would just be lagniappe!
