I've been to Kualoa several times, but this time I participated in a beginner-level mountain biking event with friends! I was worried since I don't usually ride a bike, but it was only at the beginning that I felt unaccustomed. By the time we turned back, I was getting used to the speed and wanted to ride even more! The instructor was fantastic! They were very responsive and kind, even when there was a gear issue along the way. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, mountain biking became an incredibly fun memory! I definitely want to participate again! Next time, I want to challenge myself at the intermediate level!

It's hard to decide which experience to choose, but the electric assist mountain bikes are easy to ride even for us (a couple in our 50s) who don't ride bicycles regularly, and we can easily climb hills. Just be careful with sudden brakes on downhill slopes. We stopped at recommended spots along the way. The local staff were also very courteous in guiding us. Our clothes didn't get too dirty either. Above all, riding a mountain bike is truly the best way to experience Kualoa. The atmosphere allows for natural smiles and interactions with the foreign guests we were with. I had to quickly book this tour because the buggy tour was sold out, but it turned out great. On the day of the tour, we were picked up at 7:30 at the Sheraton Aloha Landing, and there was a briefing for all the tours at the site (since my English isn't very good, we could hardly understand anything, only the e-bike registration and the location of the restroom). There were six participants in total: a couple from Europe, a couple from Korea, and us, plus the guide, which made for a small group. At registration, we were instructed to store larger bags in lockers. You can buy drinks on-site, but they're not particularly cheap, so I recommend bringing your own.

The instructions on how to operate the e-bike and safety precautions were provided in a video with Japanese subtitles, which was helpful. My wife, who usually only rides a regular bike, was a bit scared, but there was practice before we started, and she seemed to get used to it and enjoy the ride. The small group size and the guide's constant consideration made us feel at ease.

We stopped at filming spots and beautiful views to take photos with the guide. The scenery was amazing! There were many spots where we encountered people on buggies or trolley tours; while the routes were different, I think they covered similar highlights. I had originally aimed for the buggy tour, but seeing the buggies moving slowly in a line made me realize it wasn't the thrilling experience I had imagined. The e-bike allowed me to go at my own pace, and both the handling and speed felt fantastic, leaving me very satisfied.

映画の撮影スポットや景色がいいところで自転車を止め、その都度ガイドさんに写真を撮っていただけました。景色最高です！途中でバギーやトロリーツアー？の方々とも一緒になるスポットも多く、ルートは違うのでしょうが共通点もあり見どころは押さえてあると思います。もともとバギーツアーを狙っていましたが、バギーがゆっくり列で進んでいたのを見ると、私がイメージしていた疾走感のあるものではなさそうだったので、自分のペースで進めるe-bikeは操作感、疾走感ともに非常に気持ちがよく大満足でした。

My daughter hadn't ridden a bicycle in a long time, so she was anxious and initially said she didn't want to ride, canceling her reservation. However, just before the event, she decided she wanted to participate after all and made a new reservation. I felt a bit sorry about the changes, but I really appreciate how smoothly VELTRA handled the cancellations and changes in the number of participants!

On the day of the event, there was some traffic on the highway, so we arrived slightly late, but the schedule had enough buffer time before the activity started, so it was fine.

The activity involved our family of four along with two couples, making a total of eight participants, with one instructor guiding us all as we rode around the ranch. At the beginning, we watched a safety video, chose our bicycles, and practiced a bit before setting off.

My daughter was right at the height limit, so she couldn't quite reach the ground while seated and looked anxious, but she seemed to get the hang of it after a while. I think if you're around 155 cm tall, you should be able to reach the ground comfortably. Additionally, one of the younger female participants seemed a bit scared of the speed at times and struggled to keep up, but the instructor rode slowly to help her, and she managed to complete a lap. 開始時には安全確認のための映像を見て、各自自転車を選び、少し練習をしてから出発です。

娘は身長制限ギリギリだったので座った状態ではぴったり足がつかず不安そうでしたが慣れると大丈夫そうでした。
155cmくらい身長があると足がつくイメージかと思います。
また、同行メンバーの若い女性の方は途中スピードが怖かったのか、なかなか流れについて来れない場面もありましたがインストラクターの方がゆっくり走ってくれたり、どうにか1周していました。舗装されていない坂道を走ったりするので自転車に抵抗のある方にとっては少し怖いのかもしれません。

とにかく景色のいいところを颯爽と駆け抜けていくのがとても気持ちよくて、施設の方もみんな親切で（日本語は通じません）、最高のアクティビティでした◎家族、カップル、ひとりでも楽しめると思います！

We signed up for a mountain bike tour for three people! Just before the tour, there was a video explanation with Japanese subtitles, which made us feel secure about the operation. The guide also explained everything again in English.

It’s not just non-stop riding; there are breaks at scenic spots and filming locations, so it’s not too tiring. Since there can be mud splashes, it’s recommended to wear darker clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty rather than light-colored ones!

We did the novice e-bike tour. It has been my most favorite activity so far. Our guide Justice was incredibly knowledgeable friendly and kind. I feel we have a better understanding of the history of the island. With the e-bike tour we also got some exercise! It was great!

I rode the smallest mountain bike. It was tough at first, but once I got used to it, it was a breeze. I rode 9.5 kilometers, and since it was electric, I didn't get tired at all going uphill! I was worried about the weather in the morning, but by the time of the activity, it had cleared up completely, and the greenery of the mountains was even more beautiful. The color of the sea from the high ground was incredibly stunning and moving!

However, the path was muddy, and the splashes from the bike tires were quite something. It was a rare experience to get muddy at my age. Since the weather was uncertain, it was a good idea to bring a change of clothes (there are paid lockers available in the park that you can access). My bag was also a waterproof one, which was a smart choice. My daughter was able to borrow a bike, so I think it's fine if you don't have one.

Since there were only two participants, we could enjoy our time and take photos freely. The guide spoke only in English, but it was very easy to understand, so it worked out. I think anyone who can ride a bike normally can participate; it felt amazing to cut through the wind and ride through Kualoa!

ただ、道がねかるんでいて、自転車のタイヤからの泥はねがすごかったです。この歳でどろんこになる貴重な体験でした。お天気があやしかったので着替えを持って行っていたのが正解でした(園内に出し入れ可能な有料ロッカーあります)。カバンもウォーターバックでしたので、それも正解。娘は貸してもらえてましたので、無くても大丈夫だと思います。
参加が2人だけでしたので、時間や写真も自由にフリーの状態て楽しめました。ガイドは英語のみですが、とても聞き取りやすく、何とかなりました。
自転車に普通に乗れる人でしたら参加可能だと思います、風を切ってクアロアを走り抜けるのは最高に気持ち良かったです。

Personally, I thought this tour was great! I was able to watch a video explaining the tour in Japanese, and I felt reassured as I learned how to use the bicycle while going around the tour. It was good. When it started to rain, there was no mudguard on the bicycle, so my clothes and shoes got very muddy. I recommend going in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and bringing a change of clothes.

The hike was VERY muddy! Not so much of the mud being a nuisance, as much as the slippery parts. Then cooling off with downhill bike ride with scenic views of Waikiki and Honolulu, even Pearl city. We enjoyed our time.

With more than ten people descending the mountain in a line, when a car comes along, we step aside to let it pass, and the drivers, even if we don't know them, are friendly, which lifts our spirits as well.

This was an amazing tour. As long as you know how to ride a bike, you're going to be good. Since this is an eBike, you're not going to feel tired at the end of the trip. You can adjust the setting on the bike to either put more effort to ride it or just let the bike do all the hard work. You'll be given a dry bag which you can attach to the bike. This can fit your wallet and a small water bottle. The ranch had amazing views and all the film sets are a must see. Compared to ATVs, this ride is silent and you won't be covered in dust and dirt. I will definitely this tour again!

I had an amazing time.
My first experience with an electric mountain bike was really scary, but once I got used to it, I was able to zoom through the stunning mountain and sea views at incredible speeds—it felt fantastic! I think it's more suited for younger people; it might be tough for those in their 50s. Also, with just basic conversational English skills, I often struggled to understand the explanations for setting up the electric bike. But basically, there are four modes, and it was a simple operation of just changing the mode for uphill and downhill.

It was a beginner course, but the foreign participants had long legs and were pedaling at quite a fast speed, so I was doing my best to keep up. The instructor, Fallen, was amazing—funny, cute, and kind, and I became a fan of hers. If I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to do this again. However, I think 20,000 yen without transportation is a bit high, so I hope they can work on that.

初級コースだったけど外国人の人達足長いしスイスイかなり速いスピードでこいで遅れを取らない様にと必死だった。
インストラクターのfallen さんがAmazingな方で面白くてかわいくて優しくてファンになった。又ハワイ行ったら絶対やりたい。送迎なしで2万は高いのでそこどうにかして欲しいです。涙
