Hollywood movies sites tour leaves much to be desired

The movie tour was just underwhelming. I expected from the pictures to have more interaction with the sets, particularly for jurassic park for which a picture is prominently posted next the movie site tour online and even in the review panel. In reality they used the movie tour to try and up sell you to go on other tours where you can do what was in their pictures. Even if this were ok its a mute point as the up sold tours were not available even if you wanted to go on them. Really disappointed and feel a bit lied to. Beautiful location, otherwise i missed everything i actually wanted and expected to see.

Our Driver/guide Leilani was the best. She was really funny which made our tour so much fun and enjoyable! This ranch had the most beautiful view of the valley, war remnants and its a movie and TV set.
Our guide really made it fun and funny touring us around. She was the best and we highly recommend her. What a memorable time we had here at the Kualoa Ranch!

Great opportunity for beautiful scenery and learning

This tour was fantastic. I had no idea Hawaii was used as the backdrop for so many movies and TV shows. Kimo was our tour guide and he was fantastic; very funny and informative. The scenery was fantastic: beautiful mountains and beautiful ocean views all in one place. My 15-year-old sons thought it was an amazing day. Couple of things for future visitors to know: 1) cell service is intermittent. Your phone searches when the signal is dropped and this eats up battery life. Bring a power pack with you just in case or a charger (this is especially important for item 2. 2) if you use Lyft or Uber to get out to the Ranch from Waikiki, try to arrange for pick up for the return ahead of time. Uber is nearly twice as expensive as Lyft. There is one Lyft driver, Jane, that picked us up. She actually lives in the area. Otherwise, you will be waiting for a while. So, save some phone battery for the driver search/wait.

My kids and I watches Hawaii Five-0 (the new one) every Friday night for years. I remember watching the original with my parents Wyn I was a kid. The Hawaii Five-0 tour was absolutely amazing. Sean was the most awesome tour guide pointing out shoot locations and local areas on the way to and from the Beyer Estate. When we met up with Flippa at the Palace, that was the cherry on top. This tour is a must for any H5-0 fan - old or new. Hawaii is such an amazing place with its multiple micro climates and beauty - mountains and shoreline. Having someone who grew up here guide you through all of that was an amazing treat! I simply can’t say enough about this amazing tour and Sean’s commentary and guide skill set.

The Jurassic Park E-Nike tour was just amazing! I’ve lived in Hawaii all my life and had no idea of the beauty that is hidden back there. Being able to enjoy the beauty on a bike was just amazing! My kids have been anticipating getting out after a couple of lockdowns in Hawaii due to COVID-19. Saturday morning, while their Dad was off for work, we decided to visit Kualoa Ranch. After reading more of their implementation of COVID-19 safety protocol, we felt safe and confident to take one of their tours, so we decided to book their Movie Sites Tour. I also love the fact that HawaiiActivities.com never fails to provide most up-to-date information which is how we found this to be available on that same day.
Upon entering the premises at Kualoa Ranch, numerous signs were displayed to remind guests and staff about wearing their masks, washing hands/ hand sanitizing, and practice social distancing. At the entrance, they checked our temperature and collected our information (first & last name for each of my party members, an email address, and a phone number for contact tracing. Staff & employees, including our tour guide, were wearing face masks. They also installed Plexiglas in every counter (information desks, check-in, ticket desks).
When we got through the gift shop, and the restaurant, hand sanitizers & disinfecting spray/ wipes were also readily available in many areas. We felt safe.
With everything that has been happening around us, it was a wonderful feeling to be out and explore again. We enjoyed our visit, and the Movie Sites Tour was fun! My son (8-year-old) really loved it and have been asking to go back and do horseback riding. My teenagers said they learned a lot! The tour guide was funny and informative, made us laugh throughout the tour! He has great sense of humor; he even brought a dinosaur toy with him for our photo taking at Jurassic Park and I loved how the photo came out!
It was a great day! We were there as a family 10 years ago and we will visit again in the future.

I rode a mountain bike for the first time on this tour, and at first, I was very anxious because there was no Japanese guide. However, the local guide patiently taught me how to ride using gestures, and when I looked unsteady while riding, they quickly came to assist me, allowing me to enjoy the experience without injury. In Japan, it's not easy to have the experience of biking up unpaved mountain trails, so the jungle-like paths and the occasional views of the ocean were very refreshing, and I was overwhelmed by the grandeur of nature. I would like to participate in this tour again when I travel to Hawaii.

A tour located a short bus ride from Honolulu. The views of both the mountains and the ocean are great, and the guides' explanations are entertaining. It seems to be frequently used as a filming location, so if you love Hollywood movies, you'll especially enjoy this tour. However, even if you're not interested in that, the scenery is beautiful enough to enjoy. Just keep in mind that the jungle exploration might be a bit challenging for those who get motion sickness.

We booked the tour in advance of our visit to Hawaii. We have been big fans of the series since the first season and were happy to be able to visit an original spot from the series. We were picked up by Sean at the hotel and during our trip we got a lot of information about the series and Hawaii. He has a very pleasant way of passing on his knowledge to his guests. At McGarrett's house Flippa did not receive us - it was a surprise for the rest of the group - because we were connected via social media and knew what was going on. It was a very nice lunch with Sean and Shawn. We visited the house inside and outside, talked to the owners Richard and Sooz, had fun with their dog Yogi and took numerous pictures.We sat in the chairs and looked at the sea - like Steve and Danny in the series. These are incredible feelings of happiness! This tour is unique. Who is a fan of the series and a guest on Oahu should not miss this excursion. Mahalo nui loa Sean & Shawn !!! we will never forget this awesome Day !!!

This time, I participated in a movie location tour and a jungle tour. It was a lot of fun in the vast nature. The driver for the jungle tour was a woman who couldn't speak Japanese, and she lacked a bit of service spirit, which was a little disappointing. However, the jungle tour itself was enjoyable. Since it was in the jungle, the weather changed quickly, and it rained heavily, soaking my clothes.

I was wondering how one hour would be, but it felt short because it was so much fun. The scenery was also amazing! The guide spoke mostly in English, which was a bit confusing at first, but they were very friendly and had a great vibe, so it wasn't a problem at all.

Truly an awesome experience

What is usually a tour for a group of more than five people turned out to be almost like a private tour for us as we were only three that day. Sean shared a lot of information about my favorite tv show, the cast, the location. We were blown away by everything we saw. It was like walking into a dream. The lovely house, the amazing beachfront and of course, the iconic chairs. Even my husband, who has not watched an episode before our tour has become an instant fan and started watching Hawaii Five-0 with me from season 1 when we got back home, making it my third time to watch season 1. :) It still feels like watching each episode for the first time. Lunch was great, too and we loved the passion fruit-orange-guava (POG) drink.

We also had a nice conversation with the house owners, Richard and Suzz. We had a fun time talking about who Steve is going to marry. It’s Catherine, hands down. We had fun taking pictures with Yogi, too.

Sean really made this day special for us. He shared with us a lot of information about Hawaii from a local’s perspective. He also told us about Hawaii’s history and culture and some of the famous people who are from Hawaii. Sean drove us through Kewalo Basin Harbor and Ala Moana beach park. We stopped.by at the Hawaii Five-0 headquarters, which in real life, is the Hawaii State Supreme Court.

Big thanks to Sean for recommending Wini’s Jewelry where we bought gorgeous Hawaii Five-0 merch. We wish that this show could go on for a couple more seasons.

The guide was very friendly and entertaining! The jungle tour was quite bumpy, and I hit my head hard. Haha, it might be tough for those who get motion sickness... It was a tour packed with activities! I want to visit Kualoa Ranch again, and next time I’d like to try the ATV tour at the same ranch!

The kayaking was a bit cold, but if you're confident in your physical fitness, definitely go for it!

The mountain bike tour was amazing, with lots of animals and beautiful mountains to see.

The instructors were very kind and took many photos for us.

However, the lunch wasn't very tasty, so it's best not to have high expectations.

It was a tour where we enjoyed three activities, and as soon as one ended, the next was waiting for us. After that, we had lunch, and then the final tour followed, creating a seamless flow like being on a conveyor belt. Before we knew it, the enjoyable tour was over.

Reasons we loved the tour:
*Shawn was an awesome tour guide, super laid back and didn’t rush us at all. He encouraged picture taking and had fun with us!
*We got a tour of the city as well. While driving to and from the McGarrett house we learned fascinating facts about the island, different famous people and places.
*We had a bonus surprise and got to hang out with Flippa-who was so nice and chill! We got to ask questions and get to know him and the other cast members.
*Lunch was yummy!
Overall a great experience! Zero complaints and have no hesitation recommending it to any Hawaii-5 O fan

I participated in a 2-hour mountain bike course. I was very worried about the weather after arriving in Hawaii, but I was able to join the tour without getting rained on☆

There were three cheerful foreign tour conductors, a foreign couple, a solo foreign participant, a Japanese couple, and our group, making a total of about 15 people biking around the island. Since I wasn't used to riding at first, it was great that they provided ample practice time.

It felt like we were touring movie locations, as there were famous spots used in movies like Jurassic Park and Jumanji, which would definitely excite those familiar with the films! ^ ^

Once we went to a slightly elevated area, we were greeted with stunning views, and the surroundings were filled with nature, allowing us to feel the negative ions!

The tour conductors were very nice, possibly because our group was showing such great enthusiasm! Even if you don't understand English, communication is totally possible! They took a lot of photos for us and were very kind.

The hotel pickup started around 10 AM, and we returned to Waikiki before 4 PM, so we had a lot of fun! The kids in our group also praised it as the most enjoyable part of this trip☆

It's definitely best to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and that are easy to move in! You might want to think that you will get dirty regardless of whether it rains or not. ^ ^

陽気な外人ツアーコンダクターが3人、外国人夫婦？とお一人様参加の外国人と、日本人夫婦と私たちグループで計15名ほどで島をマウンテンバイクで走るというものでした。
最初は乗りなれてないものなので、しっかり練習時間も設けてくれていたので良かったです。

映画のロケ地を巡る感じだったので、要所要所にジュラシックパークやジュマンジなどといった有名映画で使われた跡などもあり、映画をご存知の方であれば興奮度も増すのではないでしょうか？^ ^

少し小高い場所へ行ったらとても素晴らしい景色が溢れていたり、周りが本当に自然だらけでマイナスイオンを感じられます！

ツアーコンダクターの方も私たちのグループがとびきりいい反応を見せていたからか良くしてくれました！
英語が分からなくてもコミュニケーションは全然とれます！
写真もたくさん撮っていただいて優しかったです笑

朝10時ごろにホテルのピックアップが始まり、ワイキキに帰ってきたのも16時前とかだったので、だいぶ楽しめました！
一緒にいたグループの子たちも今回の旅で1番楽しかったと絶賛しています☆

服装は確かに汚れてもいい服、動きやすい服で行くのが1番です！
雨が降る降らないに関係なく汚れると思ったほうがいいかもですね^ ^
