The sea is beautiful.
It's not as scary as I thought.

■Negative Points
It shakes a lot.
When there are many participants, the waiting time on the shaking boat is long, and you can get seasick.
Since it goes quite far offshore, you can get seasick during that time.

■Overall Evaluation
Most of the negative points are related to seasickness, but even people who usually don't get seasick will likely get sick, so motion sickness medication is essential.
I think this is the most important point to be aware of, but there isn't much warning about it, so please be careful, everyone.
We were the last ones, but while others were participating, we got seasick, and by the time it was our turn, we were just trying not to throw up and hardly enjoyed it (laughs).

We participated with three adults. There was no transportation provided, and we made a reservation for 3 PM. We had to wait in the blazing sun for an hour from the designated check-in time, and the departure was around 3:30 PM. The boat was quite rocky, but I was fine since I took motion sickness medication. I have a fear of heights, but after reading everyone’s experiences, I decided to go for the 150 meters. While the stunning views distracted me, it was still scary. Especially after the Japon, we went up at quite a speed, and I ended up screaming so much that my voice went hoarse. The other two said they wanted to do it again.

I requested a photo shoot for $30, and there were a total of 85 pictures taken. The other group had the same number of photos. I had high hopes since there was a telephoto lens, but most of the pictures were blurry due to continuous shooting, and in some, my face was completely dark because of backlighting. Only a few decent photos turned out. It might have been better to exchange cameras with the other group or use AirDrop to share photos with smartphones.

30ドルで写真撮影をお願いしましたが、全部で85枚写っていました。
他のグループの方も同じ枚数でした。
望遠レンズが付いていたので期待していたのですが、連写されたピンボケ、逆光で顔が真っ黒、景色もイマイチで まともな写真は数枚でした。
他のグループの方とカメラを交換して撮りあったり、スマホのAirDropで交換
したほうがよかったかもしれません。

We participated as a family of four. Out of the ten participants, everyone except our family was foreign, and they were lively, cheering and clapping, making the time enjoyable even outside of our own experience. Each pair had about ten minutes of experience, and we returned to the port after 1 hour and 10 minutes from departure.

It was our first time parasailing, and the view from above was magnificent and refreshing. When we reached the highest point, it felt like we were at the same height as Diamond Head. The sky and sea were both a brilliant blue, and Waikiki, with its lined-up hotels, looked beautiful, making us feel like we had stepped into a postcard.

Our daughters participated while filming with a GoPro, and that video became a nice souvenir. Just for reference, I tend to be a bit anxious and brought various items with me, but I hardly got wet (just a little on my feet), and I didn't need to use a towel or change clothes. Haha.

参考までに、、心配性で荷物をあれこれ持参しましたが、ほとんど濡れることもなく(足が少し濡れる程度)タオルも着替えも使いませんでした。笑

Parasailing was my first experience, and it was exhilarating. I had the precious opportunity to see the beautiful scenery of Hawaii from the ocean. The operation was smooth, allowing us to go up and down and even dip a little into the water, which was a lot of fun. One downside was that while others were participating, we had to stay on the boat, which made some people feel seasick. I felt like most people were a bit nauseous. OMG!! What an experience! Soaring above beautiful blue waters with sunny skies! The captain and his mate were entertaining and engaging. They gave a mini lesson, took pics and were understanding with our autistic son whom went first with his dad! The location was super convenient since it was right in the back of our hotel! Our time was suppose to be later but they were able to move us up which apllowed us to get to our next activity on time. If you are fearful suck it up and jump right in! It's a decision you would not regret!

Pickup was on time, and we got on the boat on the almost immediately.

The 2 guides were great!

The parasailing experience was great with fantastic views all around. The only downside was that since the wind was towards the direction of the sun, all the photos were just silhouettes and our faces couldn't be seen. This is nothing against the company, who were great :)

I was a bit anxious about the language barrier, but the driver could speak a little, which was reassuring. The two crew members on the boat couldn't speak, but it wasn't a problem at all. The boat trip included four families, all of whom were Japanese. When it was our turn on the boat, they asked if we wanted to take pictures. I forgot the exact amount, but after getting off the boat, they gave us an SD card with the photos. We also gave a tip when we got off the boat, so some cash was necessary. During the parasailing, we went down to the water's surface, so we got wet, but the weather was great that day, and it became a wonderful memory. I highly recommend it!

I thought, "Oh, this isn't so high," but after a while... wait, am I going up again? It's so high! I don't mind heights, but it's a bit scary... However, I was able to enjoy a lot of time in the air, and by the end, I felt like I could go even higher! I'm really glad I chose the highest option. My wife, who isn't fond of heights, seemed to enjoy it while saying it was scary, especially since we were with our child. And then, at the end, we plunged into the sea! Since I was the first to jump, I didn't realize there was an option for that and foolishly shouted out loud. In late August, it was sunny. We participated as a couple with two middle school students. It was everyone's first time parasailing. I tend to get motion sickness, so I took some anti-nausea medication, but it was nice that there were only a few of us, just our family and two foreign sisters. (The people who rode after us were a large group, so I felt like I might get seasick while waiting for them to finish... Either way, it's better to take the medication. The boat sways quite a bit!)

I didn't talk much with the captain, but he was a nice person, and the instructor was funny and kind, making the conversation enjoyable! (He understands a little Japanese and seems familiar with Japanese people, so I think it's fine even if you can't speak English.)

Our family and the sisters were all dropped into the sea at the beginning or the end! That was fun too. I was chatting with the instructor before we started, and it naturally led to, "Well, we have to drop you into the water, Japan!" I don't know how it usually goes, but if you really want to be dropped into the sea, it might be good to express that desire.

The view from 150 meters was amazing! When the boat swayed, I couldn't help but scream like it was an amusement park ride. Haha. I wasn't worried about falling at all. I put my smartphone in a waterproof case hanging around my neck and recorded videos, but since there was some swaying, please ensure your own safety while filming. (If you're anxious about operating it up there, it might be a good idea to keep the camera rolling from before takeoff until landing. I can't guarantee the quality, but it's one way to do it.)

Also, we had to wait until the previous group returned before we could board the moving boat, and after boarding (only those buying the photo SD had to line up), but it didn't feel like we waited too long at all.

I would love to try again with the same captain and instructor!

全員初めてのパラセーリング。私は酔いやすく酔い止めを飲みましたが、うちと外国のお姉さん2人だけの少数だったのも良かった。(私達の後に乗ってた人達は大人数だったから、他の人がやってる間に船酔いしそうで…どっちにしても酔い止め飲んだ方がいいです。船はかなり揺れます！)
船長さんとはそんなに話さなかったけど良い人だったし、インストラクターの人は面白いし優しくてお喋りが楽しかったです！(日本語も少し通じますし日本人にも慣れてらっしゃる感じですので英語話せなくても大丈夫だと思います。)
私達家族もお姉さん達も最初か最後に海に落とされました！それも楽しかったです。私はやる前にインストラクターさんとお喋りしてて、じゃあジャポンと落とさないとね〜という流れに自然となったので普段がどうかわかりませんが、絶対海に入れてほしい人は一言やってほしい気持ちを伝えるといいかもしれませんね。
150mからの景色は最高でした！
揺れたりするとアトラクションのようにキャーキャー言ってしまいます。笑。落ちる心配は全然無かったです。首から下げる防水ケースにスマホ入れて動画なども撮りましたが、揺れもあるのでご自身で安全を確認しながら撮って下さい。(上で操作するのが不安な方は、飛ぶ前から降りるまでずっと動画回しっぱなしでもいいかもしれませんね。ちゃんと撮れるかわかりませんが一つの方法として。)
あと、移動するボートに乗るまで( 前の人達のボートが戻ってこないと私達がいけない入れ替え制でした)と乗ったあと(写真のSDを買う人だけですが並んで順番)に待たされますが、すごく待たされた感じは無かったです。
また同じ船長さんとインストラクターさんでトライしたいです。

I recommend this specific experience to anyone visiting Oahu, and especially staying in Waikiki. There are many companies you can go with -- this was my third time parasailing, and by far the best one yet. Parasailing is all the same, unless the person driving the boat and the person helping you into the gear are FUN and ENERGETIC. Both crew members who took the group out were in great moods, seemed like they were having fun and not "working" -- they were in high spirits, played great music, cracked jokes with all of us, and the whole time I felt safe and wanted to go all over again. My advice to future goers is to book the higher parasail (1,000 ft) -- this is because you go even higher and are up for a longer time. It's so peaceful once you get up there, and really fun to ride on the boat with others after you've gone. There were about ten people in my group, and we all seemed to have an amazing time. 5 stars!
