Due to a last-minute change, I participated in the Dolphin University tour. From the hotel pickup to the return, it was a very enjoyable tour filled with hospitality.

The tour involved a medium-sized cruise (with about 30-50 participants, including international guests) to the dolphin spotting area. Once we found dolphins, everyone jumped in together and swam a little to where the dolphins were, which we did twice. Then, we moved to a snorkeling spot where we swam while looking for sea turtles.

From the boat, we could see several wild dolphins swimming and breathing. During the swimming part with the dolphins, we were able to see a few dolphins swimming in groups up close in the water. However, since dolphins swim quickly, some people seemed unable to see them, so there was a bit of luck involved. The tour guide provided clear guidance to ensure everyone could see, and since we could see them from the boat, I think everyone was satisfied.

Additionally, at the snorkeling spot, the slide attached to the boat was also very enjoyable, not just the snorkeling itself. Overall, it was a tour that I would love to participate in again.

イルカについては船の上から、息をしたり泳ぐ野生のイルカが何匹も見れます。ただイルカと泳ぐパートについても、海の中で数匹で群を成して泳ぐイルカを近距離で見ることができました。ただイルカも泳ぐスピードが速いので、一部の方は見ることが出来なかったようで、運の要素も少しはあるように感じました。ただツアーガイドの方はみんなが見れるよう、しっかりとガイダンスを出していましたし、船の上からは見れたので皆さん満足していたように思います。
またシュノーケリングスポットでは、シュノーケリングのみならず船併設の滑り台も非常に良かったです。
全体として、また参加したいと思えるツアーでした。

We thoroughly enjoyed this entire experience. The ship and crew was outstanding and the ability to do 'off shore' sandbar stopover with BBQ lunch and snorkeling was terrific. Although we had a rental car, we opted to take advantage of their transportation (a bus) and that was a real plus with door-to-door service. And although the bus was filled to capacity, on arrival they broke into two groups with two sailing vessels but stayed in tandem. The ships were in top shape and the onboard restrooms clean and stocked.

The sandbar experience was wonderful permitting amazing photos with Oahu mountains in the background. The crew was outgoing, mixing with the guests and ensuring all was safe and fun. The BBQ was ample and tasty, and the included and optional drinks wide ranging. The tour allowed plenty of time for all phases including the snorkeling...never feeling rushed with lots of time for exploration along the reef. The fish were plentiful and the coral in good condition. The crew was environmentally conscientious and took extra care in entering and existing the ship while snorkeling (with an onboard fresh water rinse afterwards). Their snorkel gear appeared new with ample numbers of swim jackets.

I highly recommend booking Captain Bob's...you won't regret it.

The tour itself was great - however the instructions were very clear that if you were late you’d be left behind. The guides let people wander in as late as 930 although check in time was 845 and the boat was supposed to leave at 9. Table choice was also not first come first serve - they saved the window seats for people with children so despite our group being one of the first to arrive we were placed in a center table and the people arriving 45 mins late and holding up the whole group got the window seats.

Once on the water the tour was great :) guides were friendly and helpful

We received a phone call and email in advance informing us that the dolphin middle school tour was canceled due to the captain's sudden health issues. They also suggested participating on another day or joining the dolphin university tour (with a free upgrade) that was held on the same day. We decided to join the dolphin university tour, and it turned out to be a great decision. As soon as the boat set sail, we were able to see a pod of dolphins from the deck. After about 30 minutes out at sea, we entered the water and were able to see the dolphins swimming underwater. We discovered dolphins at another point as well, but since they weren't swimming in a consistent direction, we ended up watching them from the boat there. Overall, it was a very satisfying tour.

This dolphin tour was really fun. It was a valuable experience, and I felt safe using it. For those who are worried about seasickness due to the waves, I recommend taking a strong anti-nausea medication. The driver who picked us up, the captain of the boat, and the crew who guided us were all very attentive and excellent. They also provided drinks and snacks.

However, I was disappointed with the optional photo sales in the latter part of the tour. I think it would be better to include it in the tour cost or have those who want it speak up. I purchased the photos, but the images of the people who participated with me also came along, so we should consider the privacy concerns that Japanese people might have.

このイルカツアーは本当に楽しかったです。
貴重な経験ができますし、安心して利用できました。
波があるため船酔いに不安のある方は、強めの酔い止め薬を飲むことをお勧めします。

Thanks to Jamie and the staff's thoughtful care, I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind. It was a strange feeling to be right in the middle of the ocean. They showed us the corals and fish underwater, and even picked up a pink sea cucumber from the ocean for us to see. The SUP after scuba diving was also fun. Additionally, I was lucky enough to spot a honu five times. Their little heads popping up for air were incredibly cute. I'm grateful to the staff for providing such a wonderful experience.

I chose the morning plan without checking the tides, so I ended up being submerged in the sea up to my chest and couldn't see the sandbar. If you want to see the sandbar, I think it's better to check the tides beforehand. Once we got to the sandbar, we were able to enjoy activities like snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding freely, which was fun. The staff members who spoke Japanese shared unique stories with us. You can get donuts on the boat heading to the sandbar, but if you plan to get them later, they might run out, so I recommend getting them at the beginning.

One of the best activities in Oahu

From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences on the island as far as tours go. We got to the parking lot and we asked some locals where to go, and they directed us to the boat, which was at the very end of the dock. When we got in the folks working on the boat were very professional and welcoming. They have live music playing, and that was excellent as well. There was plenty of seating and they had complementary water, a juice, and donuts. They also had snacks for purchase and beer. There was restrooms on the boat and lifejackets. We were given clear instructions as to what activities we could do and for that price it was great. You could kayak you could do stand-up paddleboard you could snorkel or you could pay extra to do the banana boats or the bumper boats, but I think you had to sign up for those prior to going on the trip out. The whole family had fun and we were all able to try everything with the allotted amount of time that we were out on the water. It was a great experience overall, and we recommend it to all the families that visit Oahu.

Excellent trip. Highly recommended.

The crew was friendly, and the tour started promptly on time.
Fun activities at the beautiful sand bar. Plenty of kayaks and snorkling gears to borrow.
The staffs were very attentive to each participant's need and made sure of the safety throughout the tour.
The boat has a nice deck on the back with a lot of scenic views along the route from the pier to the sandbar.

I was filled with anxiety on my first overseas trip, but there were people who spoke Japanese, so I had no problems at all.

I had a great time on the banana boat and bumper tube, teetering on the edge of falling off! Both activities required wearing life jackets, which made me feel safe.

During snorkeling, I also wore a life jacket and just swam on the surface, but at the snorkeling spot, I was thrilled to see two sea turtles and lots of small fish welcoming me! While touching the sea turtles is not allowed, you can get close enough to take pictures with your smartphone! Just be cautious of seasickness as the boat sways constantly. Also, it was just us, but after we finished, I was so cold that my body was shaking, so if you're worried, it's best to prepare a jacket or a bath towel to keep warm.

There was about a 30 to 40-minute wait from the pickup to the start, and after finishing the banana boat and bumper tube, there was a little over an hour before snorkeling, so you can grab a meal at nearby restaurants during that time.
