I participated from the morning of February 22, and the shuttle driver was a nice person. I chose the no-meal plan. Once on the ship, we were guided based on whether we had a meal or not. It felt like there was a designated meal time. During that time, guests without meals were left waiting. Fortunately, it was sunny, and I think we could enjoy the cruise comfortably. We were able to catch a glimpse of a mother and baby whale's backs. So, it might be better not to expect jumping or anything like that. If you're hoping to see at least their backs, there are many spots on land where you can observe them, so I feel this tour is worthwhile for those who want to enjoy the cruise without regrets.

In the morning, we took a taxi to the location for our 8 AM checkout! It was surprisingly close and cost about $18, so I thought taking a taxi was a better deal with a larger group!
We chose a tour that only included sightseeing without meals.
The cruise lasted about two hours, and we were able to see whales, plus the ocean was really beautiful, which made both our parents very happy.

I didn't sign up for breakfast, but from what I saw at the buffet, I think it was a good decision not to sign up.

I participated on February 13. At first, I couldn't see anything at all, but after heading offshore, I saw it a couple of times, albeit small. Just like when I went dolphin watching before, it's really up to luck on the day. However, the weather was nice, and I was satisfied because I could see Diamond Head beautifully. The food was as expected, with limited variety and average taste. When I had dinner on the same boat before, the all-you-can-eat crab was really delicious, and there was a show, so I thought the evening experience might be more worthwhile.

The thing that sets this whale watch apart from all the others is size and stability of the boat and all of the activities available on board while heading out to look for whales. This could almost be described as a fun Hawaiian tropical lunch cruise with whales. In addition to a delicious lunch buffet and frequent whale sightings there is also hula lessons, lei making and ukulele lessons. The captain and crew are always on the look out for whales, so while you are doing the activities the captain will announce which side of the boat the whales are on so you do not miss any of the whale action while eating or participating in the activities. With whales being wild animals and not always predictable in where they will be, having activities to keep the kids occupied makes this a great option for families

The weather forecast had predicted rain and even thunderstorms.

It was windy and cold, but I desperately filmed videos.

We boarded the boat as a family of four with our 2-year-old and 11-month-old baby! We were excited and a bit nervous wondering if we would see whales, but we enjoyed exploring the boat and taking in the scenery without getting bored. Since it was the rainy season in February, it was a bit chilly, so warm clothing was necessary.

The staff were wonderful; they played with the kids and smiled at them, gave us paper caps as gifts, and showed us videos and photos of whales and dolphins they had filmed in the past. They were very kind to the children.

As for the whales, we were able to see the spouting whales, their backs, and tails! When we saw them, everyone cheered, and it was more moving than we expected! I want to go again when the kids are older.

The optional tour we had planned was suddenly canceled due to bad weather, so we made a last-minute reservation to participate that morning. The ship was large and there was little rocking. However, it was a bit disappointing that I could only see the whale briefly as it moved from starboard to port. But since I did see it, I hope to see more next time. I was able to take photos of the dolphins.

**[Experience Review]**
I participated at the end of January, having seen reviews beforehand, and thought, "If I get to see it, that would be lucky☆". As the reviews said, I couldn't see it, but since it was raining until the boat departed, there was a rainbow throughout the tour. Once we got out to sea, there wasn't a single cloud in the sky, and we were able to see a very magical rainbow (and it was a double rainbow! Plus, it was huge!) against the blue sky and vast ocean. Personally, since I got to see the rainbow, I found it quite enjoyable (laughs).

**[What I Liked About This Tour]**
The breakfast was more delicious than I expected. There were bread, white rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, and more... I thought it was very Japanese-friendly with ketchup and soy sauce available.

**[Advice for Future Participants]**
I recommend boarding the boat as soon as possible after getting off the bus. The window seats are popular, so everyone was vying for them. They take your picture before boarding and come around to sell it during the trip. I don't remember the exact amount, but it seemed to be around $20 to $30. By the way, we prepared a tip before disembarking, but there was no tip box, and we didn't have a chance to meet the staff or captain when getting off, so there was no timing to give it.

1月末に参加しましたが先に口コミを見ており
「見れたらラッキー☆」くらいで参加しました。
口コミ通り見ることは出来ませんでしたが
船の出発まで雨が降っていたこともありツアー中ずっと虹が出ており
沖まで行けば雲一つない快晴でしたので青い空と広大な海に
とても幻想的な虹（しかも２重！そしてデカい！）が見れました。
私的には虹が見れたので、まぁまぁ楽しかったです（笑）


【このツアーで気に入ったところ】
思っていた以上に朝食が美味しかったです。
パン・白ご飯・スクランブルエッグ・ソーセージなど・・・
ケチャップやしょうゆもあり日本人好みだな～と思いました。


【これから参加する人へのアドバイス】
バスから降りたあとはなるべく早めに乗船することをオススメします。
やはり窓際の席は人気があるためみなさん取り合いでした。
乗船前に写真を撮ってくださり乗船中に売りに来てくれます。
はっきりとした金額は覚えてませんが20ドル～30ドルくらいだったような。
ちなみに私たちはチップを用意して下船しましたが
チップを入れる箱もなく下船の際にスタッフやキャプテンとも
顔を合わせることがなかったため渡すタイミングがありませんでした。

During the first half of the cruise, I was able to see whales in the distance from the top deck, although they appeared small. The scenery was breathtaking, and the buffet and cultural experiences were great as well.

It was farther away than I had expected, but I'm glad I was able to see it safely. I felt like not being able to see the first half at all was part of the performance, though.
