Our main event this time was horseback riding. Last time we did it at Kualoa, but here the duration was longer, and the horses were smart, which made it a安心 experience. It was disappointing not to see any turtles, but we were able to have lunch at a restaurant we researched in Haleiwa, and we also had time for shopping. Haleiwa drops you off at your requested location, so I think it's good to do some research beforehand. It's only an hour, so if you haven't checked, it goes by in a flash. Horseback riding truly became the main event this time, and it was fantastic!

Thank you very much for your help the other day; my family of four had a great time. Before participating in the tour, I thought we would just go to the North and ride horses, but thanks to Hiro's detailed explanations of sightseeing points, time management, and highlights, we learned many things we didn't know before. It turned out to be a very satisfying tour for all four of us. I definitely want to join other tours with Hiro's transportation and guidance as well.

At Dole, you only have about 30 minutes, so it's best to quickly finish shopping while eating ice cream and take care of restroom needs. If you take your time, you won't get anything done, so it's all about acting swiftly!

When we visited Turtle Beach, it was cloudy, so we couldn't see any turtles, but I've heard that you can usually see them if the weather is nice.

Horseback riding was incredibly fun. They give you a brief verbal explanation of how to ride, but even people in their 70s seemed to enjoy it, so I think it's something anyone can have fun with. Before you ride, they tell you the horse's name, which helps you feel attached, and calling its name or petting it gives a sense of communication.

If you just act normally, it's not dangerous, and the horses are quite gentle. Since you ride through the mountains, I recommend wearing long pants. I saw some young people in shorts, and they got bitten by mosquitoes in several places and had big welts. The ones in pants were unscathed.

At the North Shore, we had lunch (garlic shrimp) and about 45 minutes of free time. When I told the driver I wanted to eat garlic shrimp, he made a reservation, so I was able to buy it quickly. We got lunch boxes, ate outside, and then wrapped up our exploration.

After eating ice cream at Dole and garlic shrimp, there wasn't enough time for shave ice. Since there's a line for shave ice, if you want to eat it, you should either eat the garlic shrimp quickly or have someone stand in line while you eat to make the most of your time.

On the way back, the driver's stories sounded like a lullaby, and I fell into a deep sleep. We returned to Waikiki in about an hour. The horseback riding was with smart horses, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely ride while taking in the scenery, which was truly a great experience.

普通にしてれば危なくもないしおとなしいと思います。
山の中を乗馬するのでちゃんと長いズボンを履いた方がいいと思います。
若い子がショートパンツを履いていましたが何か所も蚊に刺されて大きく腫れていました。ズボンチームは無傷でした。
ノースショアはお昼ごはん(ガーリックシュリンプ)と45分程度の自由時間でした。
ガーリックシュリンプはドライバーさんに食べたい旨を伝えると予約しておいてくれささっと買えました。ランチボックスをもらい外で食べて散策といった感じで終了。
ドールでアイスを食べガーリックシュリンプを食べるとシェイブアイスは食べれない。。
シェイブアイスは並ぶので食べたい方はガーリックシュリンプはそこそこの早食いか一人並んでる間に食べるとかして時間を有効活用してくださいww
帰りはドライバーさんのお話が子守唄に聞こえ爆睡。1時間程度でワイキキに帰ってこられました。
乗馬は賢い馬なので景色を見ながらゆっくり乗馬できて本当に良い経験ができました。

We participated in the tour after convincing my husband, who wasn't very enthusiastic, that we could ride horses for 45 minutes. At Dole Plantation, we arrived early and bought pineapple ice as soon as it opened, leisurely looking at souvenirs and fresh pineapples. If we had more time, I would have liked to ride the train, but we had to give up after just 30 minutes. During the ride, there were explanations about various sights, including the "This is a tree, that is a tree" and the location of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. We also got a tour of Haleiwa, where we got off at our desired spots and headed to horseback riding after about an hour and a half. We enjoyed visiting CAMARON for garlic shrimp, a red dirt T-shirt shop, SOHO, and other stores. The main horseback riding took us along the coast and through the forest, and we said goodbye to the horses with a bittersweet feeling. On the way back, we finally got to see the Honu at North Shore. My husband was satisfied, and we want to go again.

The horses are trained for polo and are all very well-behaved. We navigated up and down, sometimes progressing in a line along quite muddy paths. While there were moments of tension on the muddy slopes, we felt a strange sense of accomplishment afterward. It was a participation on a very nice day. The horse I was connected with was the oldest one. However, you wouldn't think he was old just by looking at him. Most importantly, he was very smart, which surprised me. Although our visits to Dole Plantation and Haleiwa were brief, our guide Hiro provided excellent recommendations that allowed us to enjoy the experience efficiently. The beach horseback riding was an event that is hard to experience in Japan, and I felt safe entrusting myself to the well-trained horses. (The horses moved on their own with hardly any instructions.) It was amusing when they strayed off the path to eat grass, which added to the fun.

Overall, the time was limited, giving a busy impression, but we were able to thoroughly enjoy the main horseback riding experience.

While optional tours have the downside of limited flexibility, I often prefer to explore on my own. However, I discovered new things thanks to the guide's navigation, and I gained insights that only a local guide could provide, highlighting the unique benefits of an optional tour. The restaurant that was recommended, in particular, had great food and a lovely atmosphere, and I was very satisfied. Thank you, Hiro!

My wife wanted to go horseback riding, so I joined her. I didn't have high expectations, but I was very satisfied with the experience. This tour was great. I learned so much about Oahu and Hawaiian culture, and loved getting to visit the island's highlights. Our guide, Ed, was an absolute highlight. He was so knowledgeable and funny, sharing endless facts and not allowing the full day tour to get boring.

The bus was comfortable, so even though driving for most of the day, it was relaxing and enjoyable. The buffet lunch at Kualoa Ranch was tasty, with a beautiful view.

My favorite sight was probably the Byodo-In Temple. Such a serene setting..

I highly recommend this tour for anyone without a car rental, wanting to get out of Waikiki for the day and interested in learning about the island.

I participated with my mother. The local guide provided deep insights into Hawaii's history and current social issues, which was very informative. Since the guide recommended some great shops on the North Shore in advance, I think we made effective use of our time, even though lunch was within an hour. We went horseback riding for nearly an hour along the beach, and the scenery was beautiful, plus the horses were adorable, so we were very satisfied. There were quite a few elderly people as well, so I believe horseback riding is accessible regardless of age.

Honestly, there wasn't enough time to enjoy North Shore with a tight schedule... However, I think we managed to visit some famous spots like enjoying delicious garlic shrimp and stopping by Dole Plantation. The horseback riding was great too, as the weather was nice, allowing us to enjoy the scenery while taking a leisurely stroll. The staff was friendly, and I was very satisfied being able to hold the reins and ride freely. ^^

The bus guide was very kind and pleasant. In Haleiwa Town, there were many cute shops, and I was excited to go shopping. It was my first time riding a horse, and I found handling the horse interesting, while the seaside walk was refreshing. Unfortunately, the sea turtles didn't show up, but this tour was really fun!

I leisurely went horseback riding along the North Shore beach. The well-trained horses trotted through the forest and along the seaside paths. It was a pleasant experience while watching people sunbathing and fishing, enjoying the waves of the North. During my stroll in Haleiwa, I also enjoyed an avocado burger and shave ice, making it a very satisfying tour.

ノースショアの海辺をのんびり乗馬しました。よく訓練された馬達で林の中や海辺の道を　ポコポコ。日光浴や釣りをしている人、ノースの波を見ながらの気持ちの良い体験でした。ハレイワの散策ではアボガドバーガーやシェイブアイスも食べて大満足のツアーでした。

I was really looking forward to the main horseback riding during this trip. I was worried because it rained in the first half of the day, but it was great that it cleared up for the horseback riding. The horses were very cute, and I was anxious about whether I could ride them properly, but there was nothing to worry about. I would love to go horseback riding again when I come to Hawaii.

Even though it was my first time horseback riding, I really enjoyed it and fell in love with horses. On the way back, we took a scenic route around the North Shore and had a great time sampling at the macadamia nut farm, which was very satisfying. The shrimp for lunch was also good.

I participated because I wanted to go horseback riding by the beach. The morning pickup was at a reasonable time.

First, we received explanations about the flowers and trees along the way to H1 from Waikiki, as well as the school that President Obama attended. We arrived at the Dole Plantation, where we enjoyed pineapple soft serve, the farmers' market, souvenirs, and learned about the pineapple ecosystem. Next, we headed to Ali'i Beach Park.

There, we encountered a honu (sea turtle) basking on the sand. Then, we explored the town of Haleiwa. Here, we could enjoy Matsumoto Shave Ice and garlic shrimp food stalls, and we also spotted Patagonia's Hawaii limited edition goods.

After that, we went horseback riding along the beach at Turtle Bay Riding Club. We rode from a pine tree-lined path to the coast, feeling the sea breeze and splashes of waves as we headed toward the adjacent bay. From horseback, we were able to see luxurious and precious views, including locations used for movie filming as lakes, paths used in survival scenes in the forest, and a 200-year-old banyan tree.

Having a local guide made everything clearer, and the driver was well-informed about traffic conditions, allowing us to enjoy the experience with peace of mind.

まず、ワイキキからH1にでるまでに通り道にある花や木、オバマ大統領の通った学校などを車窓から説明を受け、ドールプランテーションに到着、パイナップルソフトやファーマーズマーケット、お土産、パイナップル生態系の見たりし、次はALI'I　BEACH PARKです。
ここではHONU（ウミガメ）が砂浜に上がって甲羅干ししているのに遭遇。
そしてハレイワの街を散策します。
ここではマツモトシェイブやガーリックシュリンプ屋台などが食べられ、パタゴニアのHAWAII限定グッズ等も見かけます。
そしてタートルベイの乗馬クラブで海辺散策の乗馬をしました。
松の木の並木道から海岸に出て潮風と波の飛沫を感じながらの隣りのベイに向かって進むと映画の撮影で湖として使われた場所や、森をサバイバルしているシーンで使われた道や、200年の樹齢のバニアンツリーなど贅沢で貴重な景色を馬上から見ることが出来ました。

やはり現地ガイドをしていただけると判り易いですし、ドライバーさんは渋滞の情報などをしっかりご存じなので安心して堪能することができました。

Even though I am not a tourist and have lived in Honolulu for almost three years, the circle island tour with Polynesian Adventure Tours was amazing to say the least. I had already been to most of the places we visited on the tour, but on that day I saw the island in a different light. Nothing like learning about Hawaii from a native Hawaiian guide! He was a human encyclopedia of information and facts. Culture, history, flora, fauna, movie set locations—he knew it all.

What specifically impressed me is when our guide talked about Captain Cook’s death. Many sources say that this European sailor might have been eaten by the natives. Our guide shared, however, that Hawaiian people never practices cannibalism. After Cook’s death his body was treated the same way a body of a local chief would be treated—the flesh was burnt but the bones remained intact for further burial. So, upon requesting their captain’s body, Cook’s team was issued a bag of bones, which made them automatically assume he had been eaten.

I would highly recommend the circle island tour to anyone wanting to see Oahu’s beautiful nature and also learn more about its history and culture. This tour will definitely broaden your horizons. I am thankful I had the opportunity to go!

I participated with a group of five women. Three of the women were on the Haleiwa sightseeing plan.

We had chosen to go horseback riding in the canyon, but unfortunately, it rained on the course beforehand, making it muddy, so it was canceled. The driver was concerned about the weather and called the horseback riding location, but since we didn't receive any notification from them, we went all the way to the riding spot. If we had known in advance, we could have avoided the car ride, which felt a bit wasteful. There was a possibility to switch to a coastal horseback riding plan if there had been availability, but unfortunately, it was fully booked that day, so we ended up with a refund.

At the Dole Plantation, we didn't have time to enter the maze. For the Haleiwa sightseeing, we were dropped off at the places we wanted to go. So, we got dropped off at the garlic shrimp place "Giovanni," which we wanted to try, and then walked to get some Huli Huli chicken. Both were quite delicious, so I recommend them to anyone going to Haleiwa, but if there is a regular horseback riding plan, time is limited, so it might be difficult to do both.

Additionally, although it wasn't part of the itinerary, perhaps because we couldn't go horseback riding due to the rain, we were taken to a soap factory. I apologize for writing about it even though they said, "This is a place we normally don't stop at, so keep it a secret!!" There were a lot of other tour guests, so we couldn't look around too slowly, but it was a place I wanted to visit, so I was glad we went. Next to it, there is also the Waialua Coffee Factory.

The driver was Japanese and shared various information while driving, which made the experience very enjoyable. Since he was speaking through a microphone, it might be tough for those who are not good at conversation... On the way back, he kindly suggested we rest since it was early in the morning and we must be tired, and he drove us close to the meeting point without talking, so everyone slept soundly on the way back.

Overall, I was satisfied, but since I was really looking forward to horseback riding, I lowered my rating a bit. I definitely want to go horseback riding next time!!!

乗馬は渓谷を選択していたのですが、事前にコースに雨が降ってしまい、ぬかるんでいるので中止となりました。
ドライバーさんが天気を心配して乗馬の場所へ電話してくれていたのですが、先方から連絡がなかったため、乗馬の場所まで行ったので、事前にわかったら車移動しなくて済んだわけで、その分少しもったいなかったかなと。
海岸乗馬のプランに空きがあれば振り替えもあったそうですが、その日はあいにくいっぱいだったようで、返金という流れになりました。

ドールプランテーションは、迷路に入る時間はありません。
ハレイワ観光は、行きたい場所で下してくれました。
なので、食べたかったガーリックシュリンプのお店「ジョバンニ」でおろしてもらって、歩いて移動してフリフリチキンも食べました。
どちらもかなり美味しかったので、ハレイワ観光に行く方はおすすめですが、通常の乗馬プランがある場合は、時間が限られるため、どちらかに絞らないと難しいかなと思います。

その他、コース行程にはありませんでしたが、雨で乗馬ができなかったからか、ソープファクトリーにも立ち寄ってくださいました。
「本来寄らないところなのでナイショですよ！！」って言われたのに書いてごめんなさい(笑)
他のツアー客でごったがえしていて、あまりゆっくり見れなかったけど、行ってみたかったところなので、よかったです♪
隣にはワイアルアコーヒー ファクトリーもあります。

ドライバーさんは日本人の方で、運転しながら色々教えてくれたりして、とても楽しく過ごせました。
マイクを通してお話されていることもあり、お話が苦手な方にはつらいかな・・・
帰りは朝早かったから疲れているだろうからと、休んでください。と何もお話ししないで集合場所近くまで送っていただいたので、みんなぐっすり眠って帰りました。

トータルは満足ですが、乗馬をとっても楽しみにしていたので、その分★が下がりました。
次は絶対乗馬したいです！！！

This was a very informative and fun day. Mandy was our guide and driver for the day. She was very knowledgeable and kept the day upbeat. We had time to stop to sea the turtles and actually got to see a large one on the beach! Great tour and the lunch was delicious!

I visited Haleiwa before, but at that time, I only walked around the town and didn't have any special activities. This time, I participated because there was a plan for horseback riding, which my wife loves, and it included a coastal exploration. The horseback riding along the beach was fantastic, walking through places you wouldn't normally step into, with beautiful scenery and a refreshing sea breeze—it was the best time ever. I think I might join again next year!

We participated as a couple.
First, we went to the Dole Plantation. At the entrance, the guide took photos of each group! They recommended some ice cream, but since we weren't hungry, I plan to try it next time.

Next, we went to a beach where we could see sea turtles. The turtles weren't on the sandy beach, and we ended up just watching the ones swimming until our time was up.

In Haleiwa, I had planned to eat garlic shrimp from Macky's, but the bus dropped us off quite far from the restaurant, and due to time constraints, we had to give up on that. I was really looking forward to going there when we visited the North Shore, so it was very disappointing. Instead, we ate at a Japanese-owned restaurant called CAMARON, which the guide recommended, but honestly, the garlic shrimp I had around the hotel on another day was better. The service of having shrimp with shells for an extra dollar was convenient and nice. It was very Japanese-style service. After that, we had Huli Huli chicken, which was delicious.

The horseback riding experience was different from what you might find in Japan, where an attendant is always right next to you. After getting on the horse, I was allowed to walk on my own. My horse (Nioi) was very smart; when the horse in front stopped, it would eat grass, but it followed along nicely when the other horse moved, so I didn't have to steer at all. My husband's horse (Rio) seemed to have a hard time as it wandered off to eat grass. It seemed to vary a lot depending on the horse assigned. The beachside ride was pleasant and very enjoyable.

Since we had some extra time, the guide took us to see a rock with a hole in it in Laie and to a macadamia nut factory, which wasn't on the original itinerary! Thank you to our guide.

まずドールプランテーションへ。入口でガイドさんが各組ごとに写真を撮ってくれました！オススメのアイスを紹介してくれましたが、お腹が減っていなかったため、次回チャレンジしたいと思います。

続いて海亀の見えるビーチへ行きました。亀は砂浜にはおらず、泳いでいる亀を見て時間終了してしまいました。

ハレイワの街では、マッキーズのガーリックシュリンプを食べるつもりでいたのですが、バスで降ろされた場所がお店から距離があり、時間的に厳しかった為断念しました。
ノースショアに行ったら絶対行きたいと思っていただけにとても残念でした。代わりにガイドさんがオススメしてくれた日本人経営のCAMARONという店で食べましたが、正直別日にホテル周辺で食べたガーリックシュリンプの方が美味しかった。プラス1ドルでエビの殻付きのサービスがあったのは食べやすくて良かったです。日本人らしいサービスですね。それからフリフリチキンを食べました。こちらは美味しかったです。

乗馬体験は、日本でできるような係の人が常に隣にぴったり付いてるような乗馬と違い、馬に載せてもらった後は、1人で歩かせてくれます。私の馬（ニオイ）はとてもお利口で、前の馬が止まると草を食べたりしていましたが、前が進むとしっかり付いて歩いてくれたので、全く操縦をすることがなかったです。主人の馬（リオ）は草を食べに寄り道して、大変そうでした。担当する馬によって全然違うみたいでした。乗馬での海辺散歩は気持ちよくてとても楽しかったです。

時間に余裕があったので、予定されているスポットとは別に、ぽっかり穴が空いた岩があるライエや、マカデミアナッツ工場へ連れて行ってくれました！ガイドさんありがとうございました。

Initially, I had planned to go horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, but I couldn't make a reservation because I applied too late. So, while searching, I found a tour that allowed me to explore the town of Haleiwa and go horseback riding, so I signed up for that.

Before the horseback riding, I received a lecture on how to ride from a Japanese driver, which helped me understand the instructor's English during the actual riding session. The instructor also spoke some simple Japanese (like right and left). At first, I was very nervous, so I couldn't really enjoy the scenery around me, and I was desperately trying to prevent the horse from eating grass nearby (I had to pull the reins to stop it!). However, as I got used to it, I was able to enjoy the magnificent nature while moving with the horse.

当初、クアロアランチで乗馬をしようと計画していましたが、申し込みが遅く予約がとれませんでした。
ならば・・・と探していると、ハレイワの街も観光できて、乗馬もできるというツアーを見つけたので、こちらを申し込みました。
乗馬の前に日本人のドライバーさんから乗り方のレクチャーを受けていたので、実際の乗馬のインストラクターの方の英語もなんとなくわかりましたし、簡単な日本語（右・左など）は話してくれます。
始めはとても緊張していたので、なかなか周りの景色までも楽しむ余裕もないし、馬が近くの草を食べようとして（食べさせないようにこちらが手綱を引っ張らないといけない！）それを阻止するのに必死でしたが、慣れてくると馬の動きに合わせて雄大な自然を楽しむことができました。
