Oahu
We, a group of five from our company trip to Hawaii, spent three nights and five days in Honolulu. Since we are close friends, we were excited even before departure. Once we arrived in Honolulu, we had a parade of requests about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to eat. Among those plans, we booked a North Shore tour for the second day of our trip, December 17 (Monday). The tour was coordinated by Kazu, who has lived in Hawaii for decades. The journey from Honolulu to the North Shore was filled with stories about the ongoing monorail development and quizzes about the Dole Pineapple Plantation.
Along the way, we had some time, so we stopped by a coffee farm, enjoyed complimentary coffee, and listened to stories about the mountains where Zero fighters flew during the Pearl Harbor attack, reflecting on the happiness after the war while gazing at the blue Hawaiian sky. After that, we enjoyed ice cream at the pineapple plantation and finally arrived at Haleiwa's Old Town on the North Shore. We soaked in the local atmosphere of Hawaii that we had always dreamed of. Kazu shared information about local food and the history of the shops, and we savored Hawaiian dishes of tuna and shrimp, leaving us satisfied.
This is where Kazu truly shined as our local guide! He informed us that a world championship was taking place at the North Shore, where surfers from around the world gather. We asked Kazu if he could drop us off at the competition venue, and off we went to the world championship site! It was exhilarating to see the North Shore's Pipeline, which we had only seen on TV, with our own eyes! Our close-knit group of five had a precious experience! などと言ってきて、ツアコンの方の顔色伺がって、どっと疲れて帰ってきました。
10万円近いツアー代金を払っていたので本当に残念でした。こちらの会社は2度ど利用しないと思います。

乗馬に行く前には、乗馬のスタッフは英語で注意事項を喋るからと、こんなことの説明があるとかの馬に乗るまでの流れ等々を詳細に話してくれました。非常に分かりやすく、初体験の私も安心して苦労することなく乗馬できました。
馬も大人しく、行儀も良かったですよ。
乗馬後は、日本には無いチップについて、こういう訳で、楽しかったと思たら◯ドルを最後に手渡してあげてくださいと馬場に向かう車内て教えてもらっていたので、すんなり手渡すこともできました。
昼食時には、開店と同時に食べられるように、注文を各人に聞いて店に電話予約、店に着いた頃には、本当に注文した食事ができている状態でした。他にもヒロさんには、他では味わえないことを解散直前までやってもらいました。
長々書き込んでいますが、ツアーの内容が良かったと感じるのは、やはり同行するツアーコーディネーターの役割が100%ですね
値段の高い渓谷乗馬プランから、安めの海辺乗馬に突然なりましたが、ヒロさんのおかげで、本当に楽しい一日を過ごせました。
当然、プランの値段に対する差額は、翌日に戻ってきました。

Horseback riding by the seaside was amazing. The tour company's guide taught us how to ride horses in detail, so even complete beginners had no problems. (On the other hand, the ranch staff spoke only English, so I couldn't understand anything. Without the guide's pre-ride briefing, would we have been able to ride at all?) After all, they are living creatures; the young women struggled as the horses seemed to underestimate them. It was also possible to get off at our desired locations, and after arriving at the hotel, I got off at Ala Moana and enjoyed shopping at my leisure.

ドールには開店5分前に到着、裏口から入り、以前行列で断念したドールアイスカップ入りトッピング付き＄6.50を一番乗りでゲット！！
ハレイワではガイドさんオススメのカマロンのガーリックシュリンプ、松本シェイブアイスのレインボーアイスを食べました。
集合時間に間に合わなかった方を次の乗馬に間に合うギリギリまで待ち、その後Uターンしながらゆっくり車を走らせてお二人を見つけた時には感激しました。ガイドのカズさんの配慮に脱帽です。
車内では一人一人の要望を聞いて下さり、出来るだけ皆が楽しめるような話やクイズで盛り上げてくれたので道中飽きる事なく楽しく過ごせました。
初めての乗馬は想像していたよりずっと楽しかったです。馬の上からの眺望は素晴らしくタートルベイの景色はとっても綺麗でした。林の中では途中食いしん坊の馬が食事タイムになったり、道を外れたりするのですが、ガイドさんの説明通り手網さばきで馬は素直にいう事を聞いてくれるのでとっても可愛いです。乗馬最高！！！次のハワイ旅行の時にも乗馬は真っ先に予定に入れるつもりです。
帰りには予定になかったマカダミアナッツファームで下車（フリーコーヒーとナッツ割り）、カカアコ地区の壁画も車窓からバッチリ写真撮影が出来ました。
希望の場所でも下車が可能で、ホテル到着後に行きたかったアラモアナで下車しゆっくりと買い物を楽しむ事が出来ました。
ガイドのカズさん、大変お世話になりました。

It was my first horseback riding experience, and the explanations during the car ride were very clear and included some humor, making it easy to understand. I was able to enjoy the ride.
I was worried about getting car sick due to the bad roads in Hawaii, but the driving was very careful, and I was able to sleep soundly on the way back, haha.
For your reference, it is mentioned that long pants are preferable, but since my legs didn't touch the horse's hair directly, shorts were fine as well. Large bags were not allowed.
Selfie sticks are not allowed, but they took photos along the coast, which made for great memories.

ご参考までに服装は、長ズボンが好ましいと記載がありますが、馬の毛に直接足が触れないのでショーパンでも問題なかったです。

夏休みに家族4人で参加しました。朝も時間通りにホテルまでお迎えに来てくれて、道中もマンゴーの木を教えてくれたりオバマ元大統領の話をしてくれたり、と楽しい道中でした。ハレイワでの観光に時間が取れるようにと気にかけていただいたのでゆっくり美味しくランチを食べることができました。メインの海岸沿いでの乗馬はもう言葉にならないくらい楽しかったです。馬の個性を見ながら乗る人を決めてくれていました。人間と同じであんなにもいろんな個性を持っているのだと感心しました。私と小学生の息子の馬は従順な子だったのですが、長女と主人の馬はマイペースで食いしん坊な子で、何度も寄り道したりして苦戦してました！それも楽しい思い出です。馬上から眺める海も最高に美しく気持ちの良いものでした。
帰り道で子供たちはまた行きたい！と何度も言ってました。私も是非また参加させていただきたいです。

結果は正解！午前中にノースショアに立ち寄ったときに、マツモトシェイブアイスにいったら、なんとガラガラ。子供とシェイブアイスを十分楽しめました。ちなみに乗馬のあとの午後に再びハレイワに行ったときは、マツモトシェイブアイスはすごく行列していたので、午前中に食べて正解でした！
その後移動して乗馬開始。家族みんな初めての乗馬でしたが、行きの車でガイドさんが日本語で何回も説明してくれたのと、馬がかなり調教されていたので、全く問題なしでした。
７才の娘もとても楽しかったらしく、自分の馬に話しかけながらずっと落ち着いて１人でのっていました。誰か手綱を引いてくれるのかと思ってましたが、違いました(笑)。本当に１人でしたよ。
天気もよくて、渓谷と海が見える場所もあり、とても気持ち良かったです！主人も子供たちもかなり気に入っていました。牧場内をぐるぐるまわるだけではないのが良かったみたいです！
