We participated as a family of four. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the pickup, so we didn't have enough time, which was very disappointing. We had kayaking, bodyboarding, and snorkeling included, but we couldn't do everything. For kayaking, we were upgraded to a guided tour as compensation for the trouble, and the guide was kind and made it enjoyable. However, it was very difficult for each of us to carry the kayak from the office to the beach.

Because of that, we ran out of time, and with only an hour left, we had lunch on the beach and managed to squeeze in about ten minutes of bodyboarding. We chose BBQ chicken for lunch, and it was very delicious. The guide told us that there were no coral reefs suitable for snorkeling at that beach, and since we were looking forward to it, it was really disappointing that we couldn't do it due to the lack of time. I think if we had more time, we would have enjoyed it much more.

In the first half, we played at the beach, and in the second half, we assembled the kayaks. The part where we went to the uninhabited island by kayak was sufficient for beginners in terms of physical strength and safety. It really sparked a sense of adventure, and the view from the uninhabited island was wonderful. Yasuyo, the Japanese woman who guided us, provided excellent explanations. However, due to traffic in the morning, the pickup was delayed, and we only had about 30 minutes to enjoy the beach activities (like snorkeling), and we didn't have enough time for meals; we needed about 40 more minutes. The kayaking in the second half was quite good, so I rated it 4.5 out of 5.

I would like a bit more time for activities since there is a set pick-up time. The pick-up time is fine, but I would prefer the return drop-off to be around 4:00 PM! I was very satisfied with the staff's service and had a great time.

I participated on 8/11 because I heard that there are fewer people on Mondays than on Sundays. That said, there were still quite a few people... but definitely fewer than at Waikiki Beach.

Upon arrival, we received about 20 minutes of explanation regarding lockers, rental equipment, and lunch, and then we were free to explore. The staff was fluent in Japanese, friendly, and had a great attitude, which made for a pleasant experience.

This time, I went with the purpose of enjoying the ocean, so I didn't go into town. (On a different day, I joined a tour to the North Shore and Kailua, where I did some shopping and had Kimo's pancakes.) If you're considering shopping in town, you might find that there's not enough time.

I thought about renting a bike to go to Lanikai Beach, but it became a bit of a hassle, so I ended up staying at Kailua Beach the whole time. However, I didn't have any trouble filling my time; I took naps on the sandy beach and walked along the coast.

For lunch, I had a meat plate lunch. It was simple, but the meat was tender and delicious!

自転車を借りてラニカイビーチまで行こうかとも思ったのですが、ちょっと面倒になり、結局ずっとカイルアビーチにいました、でも砂浜で昼寝をしたり、海岸をずっと歩いて行ってみたり・・・時間を持て余すことは無かったです。

お昼はお肉のプレートランチにしました。
シンプルですが、お肉が柔らかくておいしかった！

Made my telephone reservation directly with Veltra and the person I spoke to was very helpful and informative, so I was prepared for the day. I have river kayaked for many years, but this was my first experience with sea kayaking, so I wasn't sure how things would go when wind, current, waves and a different style of kayak were added to the mix. I had a great experience with this company! Toby was an excellent instructor and guide and we had a small group, so we received lots of individualized instruction. Beautiful scenery! And Toby shared a lot of Hawaiin history with us which was a nice bonus. My only regret is not taking the 5 hour trip so I could have more paddling time!! Pizza Lunch was good. After lunch, rode a bike 10 minutes to Lanikai beach and enjoyed some great snorkeling! Wonderful day in Oahu!

We had a great tour guide. We selected the beginners package. We had been kayaking before so in retrospect it was not the best option. The kayaking portion lasted about 30 minutes. We spent most of the time exploring the small island we landed on...not what I was expecting.

◎ Good points
- Many staff members speak Japanese
- I had never surfed before, but it was surprisingly easy to ride
- The ocean is incredibly beautiful
- I saw sea turtles!
- The lunch (PIZZA) was really delicious
- They took photos of us on the water and sent them all via email

◎ Bad points
- The locker room is small, very cold, and co-ed
- You have to carry the surfboard to the ocean yourself
(Moreover, after being guided initially, no one came with us, so we got lost!!!)
- There was little free time in the afternoon
- They dropped us off at the hotel on the way back, but the pickup was at a nearby hotel

Although I mentioned some bad points, overall it was really great!
I'm not sure if the price is cheap for what you get...
But I didn't have the impression that it was expensive.

I was worried because I'm not very good at swimming, but I didn't fall into the ocean, and I felt the waves and enjoyed the scenery on the board... it was very soothing!

　　道に迷いました！！！）
・午後の自由時間が少ない
・帰りはホテルで降ろしてくれたが、ピックアップは近くのホテル集合だった

悪かった点も挙げてますが、総合的にすごく良かったです！
お値段がこれで安いのかどうかは分かりませんが・・・。
高かった印象は残りませんでした。

泳ぎがあまり得意ではないので心配してましたが、

The day we participated was very windy, and as complete beginners, we were anxious, but we had a lot of fun and managed to complete the tour safely. At first, we learned how to hold the paddle and how to change direction on land. Perhaps because the start of the tour was delayed, we didn't practice in the canal as mentioned in the reviews and went straight to the sea! Since it was guided, the staff supported us, and we were able to get out to sea without any issues. However, participants without a guide struggled and kept capsizing at the shoreline, having a hard time getting out to sea. Once we were in the ocean, we just kept paddling... It felt like it took about 30 minutes to reach the island due to the strong wind. By the time we arrived at the island, we were exhausted. There were two guides for four groups of participants, including us. Along the way to the island, we gathered at intervals to ensure we didn’t get too spread out, all aiming for the island together. A pair of girls initially lagged behind, but the guides temporarily towed them with a rope attached to their kayak, so they seemed to enjoy themselves without falling too far behind. The guides took photos while we were kayaking. I was hoping to get some pictures during the kayak trip, so I thought it was a nice service... but although they said they would send them via email, it has been about two months, and I haven't received anything. I feel like I won't be getting them at this point. The way there was tough due to the headwind, but on the way back, it was challenging to avoid drifting into the swimming area without paddling.

If I may say one thing, as someone who has worked in the travel industry, it was a bit problematic that the schedule differed from what was stated here... I think some customers might come based on the itinerary. On the day, the hotel pickup was at 8:30, but when we arrived, we were told, "The kayak tour starts after 11:30," which meant we ended up waiting for nearly two and a half hours. I thought there would be free time after kayaking, so my plans got thrown off. I was advised to eat lunch beforehand, but I was worried about getting seasick, so I couldn't eat much. The return bus was at 2:30, and kayaking ended around 2:00. From there, we walked back to the shop, changed clothes, and answered a survey... We could have changed to a later bus, but everyone seemed to have other plans and wanted to make the most of their time, so we ended up hurrying.

Despite everything, I would definitely like to do it again. The beauty of nature and the fun of kayaking were, of course, wonderful, but all the staff here were friendly and great people. The foreign staff spoke fluent Japanese, and we had a great time.

参加した日が、風がとても強い日で超初心者の私たちは不安でしたが、とても楽しく無事にできました。最初は地上でパドルの持ち方や、方向転換の仕方などを教わりました。ツアー自体の開始が遅かったせいか、ここの口コミで見た運河での練習はなく、いきなり海へ！　ガイド付きだったので、スタッフの方がサポートしてくれて、問題なく海へ出れましたが、横でガイドなしの参加者の方は、波打ち際で何度も何度もひっくり返ったりでなかなか海へ出れずにいました。海に出たらひたすら漕ぐ・・・風が強くて島に着くまで30分くらいかかった気がします。島に着いたらグッタリでした。私たちを含めて4組の参加者に対して2人のガイドさんがついてくれてました。島への道のりの途中途中で間隔が空き過ぎないように集まったりして、皆で島を目指す感じです。女の子2人組も最初遅れがちでしたが、ガイドさんのカヤックと紐で結び一時的に牽引してくれたりしていたので、女の子2人でも遅れることなく楽しそうでした。　ガイドさんがカヤック中に写真を撮ってくれていました。カヤック中の写真を撮りたいなぁと思っていたので、嬉しいサービス・・・だと思ったけど、メールで送ると言われていましたが2か月ほど経っても送られて来ず。もう送られて来ない気がします:( 行きは風が向かい風で大変でしたが、帰りは漕がなくても進んでしまい遊泳区域に入らないようにするのが大変でした。　

一つ言わせてもらえれば、旅行業に携わっていた者としては、ここに記載の日程と違ったのは困りものですかね 。。。日程を見て来るお客さんもいると思うのに。　当日はホテルに8時半ピックアップでしたが、着いたら「カヤックツアーは11時半過ぎからね～」と結局2時間半近く待つハメに。カヤック後に自由時間があると思っていたので、予定が狂いました。お昼を先に食べておいた方が良いと言われたので食べましたが、酔ったら嫌だなぁと思うとあまり喉に通らず。帰りのバスは2時半で、カヤックが終了したのは2時ごろ。そこから歩いてお店に戻り着替えてアンケートに答えて・・・遅いバスに変更も出来ましたが、やはり皆、他にも予定があったり時間を有効に使いたかったのでしょう、急ぐハメになりました。

なんだかんだ言っても、また是非やりたいです。自然の美しさやカヤック自体の楽しさはもちろ んですが、ここのスタッフが皆フレンドリーで良い人ばかり。外国人スタッフも日本語ペラペラで楽しい時間が過ごせました。

I made a last-minute online reservation after business hours the day before, and it went through smoothly. I received a confirmation email around 7 AM on the day of the activity, and I was picked up at 8:30. The staff member was a cheerful white guy who was quite playful with the customers (laughs). The local staff was a Japanese woman, and I didn't encounter any issues.

What helped the most was having a locker available. The kayak is quite heavy, and it can be a bit challenging to pull it to the launch spot, so having a man around is helpful. I was a complete beginner, but paddling was easy. We were able to fit three people: two adults and one elementary school child.

The sea was not crowded and felt great. I wish we had more time to explore the town of Kailua, as it was a bit disappointing to not have enough time. For lunch, we could choose from two different places. It felt like a beach house, and the food was delicious. Although they didn't speak Japanese, the staff were nice.

I'll keep it short and sweet. Our guide Keala was great. Knowledgeable and easygoing. It was very windy day so we were unable to actually kayak as much as we might have usually which was a bit of a disappointment. I felt the tour should have put off/postponed the outgoing or at least attempted to somehow offer compensation for the shortened outing. But my only real beef was with the knuckleheads who 'helped' me on my landing upon return. They had me get out of the kayak too early in deep water. A large wave turned my kayak over, it washed back at me and I had to jump over it as it washed back, and only my agility saved my knees/legs! They probably didn't even see this happen. That being said, on a normal not so windly day, this would be a great tour.

I participated in a tour that included a kayaking experience this time, as Kailua Beach was wonderful before. The beach was as beautiful as ever, and with the wind, the kites were flying around. Since we had a guide, we received a briefing and then headed out to sea!

On the way there, we struggled against the wind, trying to synchronize our paddling. The guide, who was fluent in Japanese, explained various things when we arrived at the small island and even took photos for us, which was really nice. We also received snacks and water and enjoyed a little bit of snorkeling.

On the way back, we quickly arrived with the tailwind. The pizza for lunch was as delicious as rumored! I ended up going back the next day for the beach and the pizza. I rated it ★4 because I wished the return time had been a bit later. The staff was friendly, and I highly recommend it.

I travel to Hawaii every year, and usually, bodyboarding is my main activity. This time, I wanted to try paddleboarding, which has been gaining popularity in Japan recently. Unlike regular surfing, it was refreshing and interesting not being able to change the direction of the board with my gaze! I definitely want to participate again next year! The staff member Mieko was friendly and it was really fun! Many of the staff members spoke Japanese better than native speakers, providing attentive service and engaging conversations that made me feel comfortable! Thank you very much.

The sandy beach was incredibly pleasant. Walking barefoot on the fine sand felt wonderful, and I just kept walking along the endless stretch of beach. The ocean was, of course, also great. On the day I went, there were moderate waves, and while I was riding the waves on a boogie board, time flew by. The pizza for lunch was also very delicious. Everything was fantastic. I had planned to go to Kailua Town if I got bored of the beach, but I didn't have time to go to town with all the time spent at the beach.

Really well organised trip - from bus pick-up to drop off. All staff were exceptionally professional placing a great emphasis on safety. Our guide knew the area extremely well and provided intriguing insights in to the local environment. I went by myself and had a great time with the group I was allocated. Went on this for one of our honeymoon activities! A lot of fun! We got a complimentary shuttle from our Waikiki Hotel and then watched a video and were sent on our self guided trip! You can visit and small island while kayaking or kayak to another beach and go snorkeling! We even saw a sea turtle! Definitely would recommend and lunch was included! Beautiful beach!

I arrived in Hawaii alone first and, feeling a bit anxious about meeting up with my friends later, I participated by myself. However, from the moment I was picked up, Mark spoke to me kindly and fluently in Japanese, which really put me at ease. The staff here are cheerful, the activities were fun, and the lunch was casual. The ocean was beautiful and it was just amazing! During free time, I could use the bodyboards as well. This is definitely a place I want to visit again; I had a great time!

I participated without a guide, but the staff were very helpful, offering assistance and support, which was great. We landed on Flat Island, and while I saw groups with guides who provided detailed explanations about the island and how to get around, I thought, "Maybe I should have gone with a guide," but I was satisfied because we could take our time at our own pace.

Since the tour has a short duration, I would like to take my time on the next visit. We wrapped up kayaking early and enjoyed some pizza recommended by the staff (it was really delicious!) while snorkeling. We quickly spotted a sea turtle! That was probably the best memory.

The ocean was very beautiful, unlike Waikiki Beach, and the population density was still low (maybe because it was a weekday?), which really felt like the essence of a Hawaiian beach! I think it's perfect for enjoying kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling little by little.

ガイドをつけずに自力での参加でしたが、スタッフの方が声をかけてくださったり、助けてくださったりして、助かりました。フラットアイランドへ上陸しましたが、島の案内や回り方などを丁寧に説明していただいているガイド付きの方たちを見ていると、「つけた方が良かったかな＾＾」と思いましたが、自分たちのペースでゆっくりとやれたので満足しています。

海はワイキキビーチと違い、とても綺麗で人口密度もまだ少なく（平日だったから？）、これぞハワイのビーチ！という感じでした。
カヤック、遊泳、シュノーケリングを少しずつ楽しむには最高だと思います。

The beautiful sea and location are amazing! I was able to relax in the calm sea with no waves. However, I didn't have time for shopping, so next time I want to go for a longer period to enjoy shopping as well. I highly recommend renting a bicycle!

I went to Flat Island with my daughter on a two-person kayak. At Flat Island, we were able to see seabird eggs, which was a wonderful experience. The sea was very beautiful, and it's a place I would like to visit again. Carrying the kayak to the sea was a bit tough, but the refreshing feeling afterward was exceptional. At the pizza place for lunch, little birds came by, and we had a great time.

娘と2人乗りカヤックでフラットアイランドまで行きました。
フラットアイランドでは、海鳥の卵を見ることができ、とても良い経験が出来ました。海はとても綺麗でまた行ってみたいところです。

Even as a first-timer, I was able to participate without any anxiety because the staff taught us patiently. I was also impressed by the beauty of the ocean! However, it seems that the weather conditions were unusually good recently, so I felt a bit underwhelmed as we reached the uninhabited island without much difficulty. For those with kayaking experience, it might be more enjoyable to just rent a kayak and move around freely.

Also, the pizza recommended by the guide for lunch was delicious.

海のきれいさにも感動！
ただ、ここ最近では珍しいほど天候の条件が良かったらしく、特に苦労せず無人島まで辿り着けたので多少物足りなさを感じました。
カヤック経験者の方は、カヤックのみ借りて自由に動き回った方が面白いかも知れません。

あと、ランチに食べたガイドさんオススメのピザがうまかったです。

It was my first experience with kayaking, so I was worried it might be difficult to reach the uninhabited island, but it was no problem at all! Before getting into the kayak, we had a briefing on how to paddle, and even after we hit the water, our guide provided us with advice.

Due to my lack of exercise lately, my arms got a little tired (^ｰ^;), but the amazing views from the kayak made me forget all about that!!! On the uninhabited island, you can also snorkel if you wish. Next time, I want to challenge myself to a longer distance.

For the morning tour, we transported the kayaks from the shop to the beach, but since there was a cart, it was easy. Moving it from the cart to the sandy beach was a bit challenging (though it was just a short distance).

カヤック初体験だったので、無人島まで行くのは大変じゃないかな？と心配しましたが、まったく問題ありませんでした!カヤックに乗りこむ前に漕ぎ方のレクチャーがあり、海に出てからもガイドさんがアドバイスしてくれます。
日頃の運動不足のせいで、腕が少し疲れましたが(^ｰ^;)、カヤックから望む素晴らしい景色でそんなものは吹っ飛んでしまいます!!!
無人島では、希望すればシュノーケルもできます。

午前中のツアーは、カヤックをSHOPからビーチまで運ぶのですが、台車が付いていたので、ラクラクでしたよ。台車から下ろして、砂浜の上を移動させるのが少し大変でした(といっても、ほんの少しの距離です)

First challenge of sea kayaking. シーカヤック初挑戦

This was my first experience with sea kayaking, and it was a lot of fun. At one point, I lost my balance and capsized, but our guide, Jordan, helped me get back on track quickly, and I was able to enjoy myself. The view on the uninhabited island was so beautiful that I wished I had brought my camera (they lend you waterproof bags). I definitely plan to bring it next time. Kailua Beach is really pleasant, and during the free time in the first half of the tour, it might be nice to lay out a rental mat and just relax. By the way, the teriyaki chicken in the lunch plate was also delicious.

今回シーカヤック初挑戦でしたが、大変楽しかったです。途中、バランスを崩して横転してしまいましたが、ガイドのジョーダン君にすぐに立て直してもらい、楽しく過ごせました。無人島では景色が良かったのでカメラを持ってくれば良かったと思いました(防水の荷物入れを貸してくれます)。次回は必ず持っていこうと思います。カイルアのビーチは本当に気持ちよく、ツアー前半の自由時間はレンタルのゴザを敷いてぼーっとするのも気持ち良いかもしれません。余談ですが、お昼のプレートランチのテリヤキチキンも美味しかったです。

The weather was great, and it became a wonderful memory.
Pulling the kayak from the shop to the sea might be tough for girls, but it's all part of the experience♪
The sea was even more beautiful than I imagined.
I was able to see sea turtles twice while kayaking (*^^*)
The snorkeling wasn't that great, but I was happy to have a choice for lunch. It was delicious.
Since we had some time, we went cycling around the town after lunch.
The timing was just right, and it was a great tour.
